Hello, since Premiere Pro has the Speech to text feature, I think Audition users would love it too... 🙂Thank you,Daniel
I've got over 250 VST plugins but there's no way to search for them in Audition by typing in their name. Instead, I have to go through a series of submenus and remember which company made the plugin and which category/folder they've added it to. Would be so much quicker and easier to just type e.g. "1176" and it would bring up some of those compressors etc.
Hello! It would be very useful and necessary to have the possibility to create Bins in the audition Project panel. There are sessions with many files. Having the option to create bins as in Premiere or After Effects would be more ordered.Thank you
To create a news recording I hit the record button. A window pops up to enter the file name. When you click OK the recording start immediately. A countdown timer would allow time to inhale and prepare for recording.
Please standardize the save and open dialogs on MacOS.These are very a-typical, compared to other Adobe apps. When needed in a mixed application project, this is not convenient.
A function that inserts clipboard contents into a clip instead of overwriting existing content. I realize this might be a duplicate entry but it seems your customers have been asking for this feature for a LONG time and yet no priority is placed on it. So to hopefully make the thorn in the proverbial shoe bigger...
Self explanatory.... but .5 .75 1x 1.25 1.5 1.75 2x speeds?? That DONT completely distort the audio? So you can actually edit and listen through? Adobe MUST know that its "fast forward" feature renders the session completely unintelligable, right?? Sooo why is it still like this? This is valuable to me because it saves hours of my time listening through my work? Which is exactly why every other editing platform on the market allows you to do so... I will personally be leaving Adobe if this is not added as a feature by the time by subscription is up, I mean, it's getting insane how little Adobe cares about user needs.
I find it so strange that you can store audio files in the creative cloud, but Auditon seems to not have the function of using files from the creative cloud. Just having a jingle you use often, or re-using pre-recorded material would be so easy to have in the creative cloud and easily add to the project. But now I have to constantly move the original file to the project.
Bins?
Since I can't find anything about this, I'm not sure if anyone else has this issue with Audition. When I mix, I use bus tracks to combine multiple tracks into one, then keyframe the volume in the envelope tab. Here's the problem - when I increase the track height, the keyframe panel does not increase as much as the empty space above. Why is this necessary in a bus track? I'd rather be able to control the height of the graph on these tracks and have better control of the keyframes. Am I missing something or can this be a future feature?
being able to use a rectangle/marquee tool to select and remove keyframes in the track envelopes would be extremly helpful.
The new DAWproject format can transfer entire sessions to/from different DAW platforms, making it easier and more efficient to collaborate with people via Audition. Unlike the outdated OMF/AAF formats, DAWproject includes audio and MIDI along with volume/pan/sends, fades, clip gain, warping, pitch transposition, generic EQ/comp/gate/limiter settings for built-in inserts, plugin settings and automation data. DAWformat is also a convenient way to archive sessions for storage. It's free and open-source, and all the necessary information is documented on GitHub here: https://github.com/bitwig/dawproject#readme Thanks for your consideration, and please vote and comment if you support this idea!
In the waveform editor, it would be great to be able to select multiple places of a file, mark them as let's say channel 1, and be able to effect them (amplify, de-reverb,de-noise, etc.) without having to go to each selection again. This way, if you need to go back and tweak one person out of five in the track, you can select all their parts and be able to go back and adjust more easily as opposed to finding all the parts again and tweaking on a more individual basis.
While editing a multitrack file I need to quickly rewind to the beginning and In point, resp., to be able to compare two tracks. For this I'd usually use the keyboard shortcuts or (on my Windows machine). However, none of them work during playback.Similar situation: I need to quickly rewind 5 or 10 seconds to rehearse a part in the audio. Audition is missing keyboard shortcuts to rewind a few seconds, too. Please add the ability to move the playhead using keyboard shortcuts during playback, particularly:(a)Rewind n secs (add "n" to Preferences, so the user may choose how many seconds to rewind when hitting that shortcut key)(b)Rewind to beginning of multitrack/song.
Good morning,I think it would be very useful if there was the possibility to speed up or slow down the playback speed of a track (live), easily with a small button for example. This can help, for example, when editing podcasts, conferences or voice recordings and looking for a specific phrase, or if you want to listen again and modify without wasting too much time.Using the J K L keys the recording is much too fast and impossible to understand what the person is saying. This possibility even exists in the Audacity software (which is nevertheless very simplistic).THANKS!
Implement ADR tools like Nuendo or the new version 15 of Resolve. Come on Adobe, you must become the industry standard in Audio post.
Dear Adobe, In the waveform editor, the display of waveform channels can be set to "overlap" under the "View" settings. This is an excellent feature for users who frequently edit multi-channel Wav files. Unfortunately, when switching the waveform editor to spectral frequency display, the spectra of multi-channel Wav files cannot be overlaid in the same way as the waveforms. I would greatly appreciate it if spectral frequency display could also support overlapping. Our monitor height is limited, and when opening a 16-channel Wav file, overlapping is the only way to see details clearly. Alternatively, could it be possible to freely adjust the display height of each channel, rather than having the height distributed evenly across multiple channels? I eagerly look forward to this feature, as it would be a godsend for those of us who often work with multi-channel Wav files. Thank you.
Hello, looking forward to see an AAF Export function for sharing with other DAWs.OMF is quite outdated. Please bring AAF Export.Thank you very much
Hey Adobe, you could make the Fade In / Fade Out Favorite more customizable in Audition. For instance, an option to add a Linear Value to the applied Fade, and a better way to do that across all clips. Or really any shortcut for those of us editing like ten thousand clips in a multitrack session and have to select each individual clip and make the same exact fade... wow oh wow, would love a quick way to do that. Seems so simple, and yet here I am with wrist pain, so pAHlease, Adobe. I'm begging you.
In Adobe Soundbooth CS3 there was a very nifty tool called the "louder" button, and it would was very useful in quickly and efficiently amplifying and de-amplifying soundwaves. I know there is the amplification section under effects currently in Audition, but for some reason it doesnt seem to work quite as well as that louder feature did, atleast for what I use it for.
Adobe Audition is excellent, but one annoyance makes my job much longer.I'm a voiceover artist who does a lot of eLearning recording and the clients like the files to be split by file name - sometimes meaning I've got hundreds of files in the 'files' area of Audition. Please add the functionality to use the cursor keys to move through this list of files, updating the waveform view when the file is highlighted. At present, I have to double-click each file and as you can imagine going through a list of 100+ audio files by double-clicking each one is bloody annoying and time-consuming. Why do I need to go through each one? Well I'm opening another thread for that. Please add this functionality to save my sanity. Using MacOS Ventura 13.4
I actually already found a solution to this problem: Pre-Rendering effects track. The lightning bolt icon in the effects rack. However, I found it odd that despite deactivating the Full Reverb Effect in the effects rack, hiting play or going back and forth in the timeline of a session would have a 2 second lag.Soloing a track that has no effects also had a slow response time.Only deleting the effect made it respond imediately.Shoudln't deactivating the effect treat the track as if there was no effect?
Hi Adobe Audition team, I hope this message finds you well. I would love it if one day Adobe audition markers could work the same as Adobe Premiere markers (you can change the colour, add comments in them etc) Would this be possible one day? Thanks Christian H Miles
One of the things I'm not a big fan of, is currently, Audacity appears to default to Wav, 48k, 24bit when trying to save a new audio file. A suggested improvement would be for some 'Save As Presets' which we can create of our own.So, when saving an audio file using 'Save As', in that popup window there could be an extra drop-down menu with various options, perhaps with some common defaults (320kbps Mp3 and Wav) but also the ability to save your own regularly used ones. I've made a little mock-up (please don't be astounded by my design ability!) lol.
