Audition

Hey everyone,  I'm trying to link several audio files in my .sesx file. When i hit link media, it doesn't give me the option to link several files, as it would in premiere. It only allows me to link one file, and consequently the clips on the timeline are linked with the wrong source file. How do I a) offline all media to start over again (I'm used to the premiere workflow), and then link all the clips in timeline to their respective, different source file. Thanks!

Hello! This is my first post in this forum and I am also not so familiar with Adobe Audition yet. I hope someone here can help me. I use a MacBook Air and I bought Adobe Audition. With Adobe Audition, as you know, you can change voices. Now I was told that you could even use the program as a live voice changer, similar to other programs like "morphvox" or "Clownfish". These are also compatible with Skype, for example. Unfortunately, I can't get this to work at all. I know how to change the voices but how to use this voice live for Skype calls for example does not work. I even downloaded "Virtual cable" but no matter what settings I use it doesn't work. 😞 Does anyone here have experience with this or can tell me if it is really possible? If so, I would be very grateful for further explanations.... Many thanks in advance!:)

I had issues with Adobe Creative Cloud opening to updated apps, etc. I finally had support remotely fix the problem, which ended up being completely removing everything Adobe and reinstalling. They told me I would lose all presets and shortcuts, which I did. However, the only setting I would like to have back were for Adobe Audition. I actually saved a while back the files and folders associated with that. And I was hoping to be able to put them into the newly-installed Audition. I’m posting a photo of the files and folders I’m talking about. Is this possible? Where do I need to go to find these and replace them? I’m running Adobe Audition 2023 on a MacBook Pro with MacOS Ventura 13.4. Is this possible? Or am I simply out of luck and need to try to replicate my settings? Thanks in advance.

I've seen similair posts but the answers are garbage and rude so lets see if I can explain the siuation better.The scanario is: AA is playing great. Back and forth and editing and mixing down and the usual sequence and then... all of the sudden... no playback. Adobe acts like I haven't even pressed the space bar. Then it freezes. If I push "play" manually it doesn't play either. I just bought a 2019 macbook pro so that I could get the latest version of AA.  Nothing changed in the last 2 minutes I was using adobe. This has happened 20+ times in my career of using AA over the last 12 years. Why does it do this? It isn't the hardware settings I assure you.  The answer to this question is not "Noone else is having this issue so its_____". I have seen this all over the net. It's not helpful or true. Other people are having this issue. So am I. If you aren't, thats awesome. I am. That's valid. 

Hi, I have a VST3 plug in that uploads an audio file to an nline processing server, It works fien in other DAWS, for example Audacity, but in Adobe Audition (latest version) it says "Disabled, Plugin can't run in realtime". Is there any way to change a setting in Audition that will allow it to run, or would a VST2 or VST plug in work?Thanks, Andy

Been using adobe products for a long time - less so Audition, but I know something of my way around it. The problem is as follows: I got handed a 16 minute chunk of video from 1990 given to me by my cousin who works for Adobe. It features my late sister interviewing my late aunt and uncle, and my late grandmother. So pretty precious material. None of them were professionals, so the sound levels would be terrible enouigh on their own. However.... there is a grinding, electric-toothbrush-against-the-mike level of sound running the length of the recording. I've tried just erasing the midsection of the spectrum, and it does clean it up SOME, but since everyone is speaking so softly, it's difficult to pull that up without some portion of the horrible noise returning with it. I've included a selection of sound from throughout the 16 minutes. Hi there,  I hope my twisted french mind won't make my explainations impossible to understand, so! I have a looooong Interview recorded in a noisy place. Subjects had lavalier mikes so the result is audible I used Auditions's noise reductions processes to lower that background, but I tend not to push the reduction as I dislike the artificial result, it deteriorates the overall signal too much (I might not use it well either) Then, my strategy would be to lower the background volume between the journalist an interviewee's speech, so I marked all my speech sections. Now, Id like to lower the volume on all the sections which are NOT marked at once.Maybe I can swap marked and unmarked sections and affect a volume reduction on all the Marked sections at once, don't know.. I cant even select all the marked sections to cut them somwhere, (I need to keep the spacing between em so Im not interested by the 'export marked clippets' command) It'd be rational

This error only occured after I installed the latest windows update 5/26 so I don't know if that had anything to do with it but probably.This is happening only in Multitrack - sound comes predominately from the left side. The right side you can hear, but it's VERY VERY quiet, like volumne is on 5. Everything sounds fine in waveform. I have uninstalled and reinstalled.I have checked audio mapping prefernces my headphones are selected for left and right channels.I have tired a different pair of headphones.I am using windows 10. Audition 23.3.0.55When I export the file it sounds correct. So this is only happening in multitrack . 

I have a liscened version of CS6 Audition but I have a new computer. How can I download and install it on my system? I am going back to school in the fall and plan on enrolling/purchasing a student version of the entire Suite but for now over my summer break I wish to practice my chops on audio production. TIA! When I bought my computer I had the option to pay 99 cents for a headset to come with it. This headset is, somehow, worth less than what I paid for it. I use this headset on discord when playing games with my friends. When using discord with this headset there is no white noise, ambient noise, background anything. It sounds great and there are no problems.  In my basement I have a soundtreated room with a SonyZV-1 and a Rode VideoMic which I *intend* to use to create professional promotional material for my business. The ZV-1 and Rode VideoMic sound like actual trash compared to my 99 cent headset. The passive white noise that my setup picks up makes any attempt to record audio totally wasted.  I have watched HOURS of tutorials on youtube on 'cleaning up audio' and none of it can even come close to fixing the audio monstrosity that is the Rode VideoMic. I have a certain set of voices that come to me regularly so I've created rack effect presets for them (in multitrack, if that makes any difference). I have a system in the office where I do most of my work, but occasionally I need to work off an old macbook at home. How do I get these Rack presets to sync to the mac? Both are logged into the same creative cloud account, app version is updated and the folder sync is working fine across both devices. 

Hi!  I have Creative Cloud, in which I thought Audition was inlcuded, but it seems I have to pay to have it. Is this normal? I have a mac (Ventura). Or is there a trick to get to install it I don't get?  Thanks!  Gabrielle 

I accidentally deleted an old verison (2018) of Audition I got on my Desktop, BUT I managed to find a backup of the "Favorites" under my AppData folder. Can this backup of my 2018 "Favorites.xml" be combined/added onto my current Favorites somehow? I got a set preset in there I don't wanna lose, but add to my current version of Audition. I tried to look up a solution online, but I haven't found an exact one with specific instructions. Hope to hear with a suggestion or 2 soon! thank you!

I am trying to export a 20 minute mixdown. It is around 16mb and I need it to be less than 5mb, and a wav or mp3 file. HELP!

I tried to export my multitrack audio and this popped up. How do I fix this?

if my narration is 155 minutes and acx standard is 120 mins per chapter, how can I quickly highlight 0 mins to 120 mins and 'create new' file . Then I can do the same for the remaining section. I'm just not sure how to quickly highlight a section without dragging my highlighted section until I have reached the 120 min section of my audio. Are there keyboard keys that do this or rightclick something that allows me to highlight a lengthy section of my audio?  Thank you!

Hey forgive me as I don't know the exact terms here,  But I press S to listen back to my audio faster, but it's a little too fast. It's barely intelligible when sped up. Contrast this with Premiere, when pressing S will speed up your playback by considerably less. How do i change this in Audition? Thanks!

If Audition 3.0 is playing and I open my email or anything else...Audition stops playing...How can i set it to continue playback evein if i'm in another window...I'm using windows 10...i unchecked the ASIO Driver abd it still stops playing... 

Hi, I'm isolation vocals from a video with a dominant music track ("Gift It Like You Mean It" ) and the audio is coming in muffled, muddy, hard to hear. I've played with various frequencies and levels within the effect.Is there a repair effect I can use in conjunction with Central Channel Extractor? Or afterwards?  - Joe

I've used this same setup for 18 months, and suddenly I get this message:The audio device is same Edifier  S1000s I've used for some years.Reviewing the suggestions in this thread: https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-discussions/audition-will-not-play-on-mac-pro/m-p/10309355#M16059 … made sure "Attempt to fore hardware to dfocument sample rate" is checked, and i've turned on and off the Use machine-specific device defaults. I'm totally stuck. I'm watching the "Playback and selections in multitrack view" audition lesson. I love these lessons.However, he says that I can use the forward slash key "/" to toggle or reverse full zoom, but it does nothing. He also says I can use Alt+\ to vertically zoom the selected track to full window. Neither of these is working for me.Also, neither function appears on the keyboard shortcuts page: https://helpx.adobe.com/audition/using/default-keyboard-shortcuts.html?mv=product&mv2=au#I'm using the latest Audition on Windows 10 on a Surface Book 2.Any help would be appreciated.Cheers,-bb

Right off the bat, truthfully I am no audio savvy individual. So forgive me if I sound uninformed.As the title says, I'm attempting to loop a 1-2 second track of a carhorn. I'm doing so by cutting and pasting out a chunk of a record car horn, and then cutting said clip right in the middle. I then move the right half of the clip in front of the left half, and cross disolve them.My issue really remains with the new beggining and end of the two merged clippings. Logically speaking cutting something in half and sewing the ends together makes it loopable, no? Atleast I thought so, until I replayed the entire clip on a loop. There's this little blip that plays when the audio loops back to the beggining - I attempted to fade the new beggining and ends of the audio, but obviously that just makes it even more unloopable - though does get rid of the blip.Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? New user here. I'm just trying Audition for the first time and I'm noticing bad clipping happening on a certain phrase, along with some variable choppiness -- meaning, where the choppiness happens changes its location -- in playbacks. The copy I'm reading: "Get a smooth, clean shave every time with Harry's razors. Our precision-engineered blades are designed to glide smoothly across your skin, while our ergonomic handles provide a comfortable grip." I tried reading that three times in a row in the same recording. The first take had clipping on "engineered" (it sounds like "our precision-engi-- blades", missing that entire chunk of one word). There's also choppiness happening throughout. In the second take there's no initial choppiness at all, but the recording cuts out at a different point, sounding like "precis-- engineered blades". The third take has a weird hiccup before "razors" (an loud click not from my recording that I know of), and it cuts out at a comp

Somehow, I managed to close a couple of panels that I needed for editing audio in Audition, and now I don't know how to change the settings in order to get the homescreen that I want to use for Audition. The first photo is what I have now, the second is what I want. Can somebody explain to me how to fix this?
