Hello, audio that I recorded has come out hissy and the volume level goes up down as if the person gets near then far. Then only thing that had changed was the Sony camera had been switched from Dolby to Linear PCM. The bigger issue is can this audio be repaired in Audition? Thanks for any insight.
Anybody suddenly have the ability to "insert silence" go away? I'm clicking on it and not getting the box to get the amount of silence I want to insert.
Hi there, I work in Adobe Audition and want to export OMF files to import it in Pro Tools.Audition shows me following warning in the export settings: Clip fades will be converted to linear fades.Track EQ will be ignored. All clips and tracks will be split out to mono.Empty tracks will be skipped.Keyframes in a clip fade will be ignored. Can you guys tell me how the crossfades and settings are maintained during OMF export? Tank you!
Greetings. So I have one project — call it X — that has a number of different audio clips/stories sequentially aligned on different tracks.I have another project — call it Y — that has the same thing — only different clips. I wanted to try to combine the two. So I copied the clips from Project X and pasted them at the end of Project Y. Simple. Everything worked fine. Only I noticed that the clips brought over are now are at a higher level than they were before (perhaps +3db). But I've got no idea why. The levels on the tracks themselves are exactly the same. There are no effects on the tracks themselves. And it makes no difference if they're pasted onto mono tracks or stereo tracks. Somehow the audio is being changed/converted. I'm not wildly experienced with sound, so I may be missing something profoundly obvious. But any help is appreciated.
Real head scratcher here - green waveform turned monochrome and audio is disabled. See pic: Red line tracks and all functions seem to work. But my editing came to a screeching halt. Annoying. I porpably disabled something with a key board shortcut by mistatke. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks
I tried to load some mp3s in Audition 3 but they wouldn't even load. Tried dragging and dropping in but nothing happened.Tried 'open audio' and got this message. No clue what's going on. I checked the bit rates on these files versus the ones that DID load and some were better on the non-loading than the loaded.Any idea what's going on?I was able to load them only after converting to wav format.
There is probably a simple answer to this somewhere but apparently I've been the chosen one unable to find it. Is there is any way to perform batch file operations on lossless files without losing the ID3 data of the original files in Audition? Of course I am keeping the "keep metadata" option checked. I am willing to use something other than flac but for whatever reason I can't seem to get the complete metadata to carry over after performing a loundness matching/batch effect process. When I read the results in any tag editor either the results are incomplete or missing entirely. At this point I'd be willing to use anything lossless to lossless capable of 2ch hi-res as long as it keeps the metadata during the described operations. Thanks for your help and I'm sorry if this is answered elsewhere.

I was thinking of putting my chapter files of an audiobook together and then putting it on ACX, but I noticed that ACX does not allow text-to-voice. What options do I have for marketing such a book?
I use an Apple Mac Studio system and I'm having an issue with Adobe Audition. When I first installed Adobe Audition, it worked perfectly and opened very quickly. However, for the past few days, I have to wait a few minutes for the program to open and be operational. I will attach a screenshot below to show where it gets stuck when launching the application. After a few minutes of waiting, the program starts, but I have to wait a long time. Do you have any idea what the problem might be? Have you encountered this issue before?I would like to mention that the program was opened without opening a project or dynamic link to verify if the program would open easily without accessing a project.
I want to make sure that Audition can compile my audiobook. I made a wav file in Audition that is around 2 hours 42 minutes long but when I play it back it stops after 2 hours. The whole book would be around 10 hours. Can I do all this by continuing to Open and append more material? Or should I have separate files and then link them together?

Hi there, I've been encountering a glitch when selecting specific frequencies in the Waveform Editor of Audition. I have playback set to loop, so I can highlight small areas of frequency (using the marquee or lasso selection tools) and play repeatedly to try and isolate problematic sounds. I've been getting a little blip of full-frequency audio every time the selection loops however, and it's quite off-putting. This started quite recently and I'm not sure if it's to do with a recent update? Anyone else been getting the same thing? I've attached a video which shows the problem. I'm on a Macbook Pro 13 inch, mid 2012 (2.9GHz Intel Core i7), running OSX Mojave 10.14.6. My Audition CC version is: build 14.4.3.4 Thanks!
Hi please I want to know how to remove a specific voice in a dialogue, in AU please is very important
Having issues exporting a left and right mix down, everthing is center panned, thoughts?
Digital input (S/PDIF) and a headset microphone are two different types of audio inputs. While both are used to capture sound, they have distinct differences in terms of their design, purpose, and functionality. S/PDIF is a digital audio format that is used to transfer audio signals between devices. On the other hand, a headset microphone is an analog device that is designed to capture sound from the user's voice or environment. The main difference between these two types of audio inputs lies in their purpose and functionality. S/PDIF is primarily used for transferring digital audio signals between devices while a headset microphone is designed for capturing sound from the user's voice or environment. Additionally, S/PDIF requires special cables while headsets microphones do not need any additional hardware for connection. [Mod note: there is no question here. Advertising removed.]
I've created a U-law file for my employer's on-hold message system and it sounds perfect on my end. When uploaded to the system and played from my employer's computer its has a terrible background static. All the parameters are set to where the system wants them (employer confirmed with support), 8000Hz, 8 bit, mono, ulaw. We were trying to load a tradition file with no luck, as soon as we converted to the proper settings...boom...it uploaded great but had this static. Perfect on my end.....but end product....no bueno! Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Brent
Hi. Ahoi.
Finished recording a 30 minute voice over, to realize every few minutes the audio skips. It just cuts out randomly and skips over a word, baked into the recording so no way to bring it back, I have to re-record.I'm on a Macbook M1 pro, 16gb RAM, with Evo4. Audio 23.2.0.68. Buffer size set at 512.This has never happened to me on Logic or Garageband, and from the looks of it, I should go back to those stable programs. But before I do that, what the hell is going on?I've seen some discussions about it, freaked out to see how common it is, and even more freaked out that no solution was really given. Sample rate is 44k for both Evo4 and Audition. M1 Pro shouldn't have any issues. This doesnt make any sense. Is there an actual solution to this besides shutting down background software and making sure sample rate is synced? Or should I just go back to Logic? Thanks!
Beginner using Audition. I can open an audio file and I would like to import 11 different MP3 files into it, rearrange them, etc. However, when I click on Import and select one of my MP3 files, it imports it to a new file on Audition, not the audio file I was trying to add stuff to. In short, I don't know how to create a file with multiple MP3 files in it.
When recording in Audition 2023, there is a stutter/lag/delay. I thought it was a mic issue, as this happened yesterday while I was using my Yeti X usb mic. I swapped it out with another Blue Yeti usb mic, and the problem resolved. But today, it's happening w the second mic. I hit record, Audition captures less than 0.5 second of room noise, then it stops picking up any noise at all, and the record clock starts to stutter. Rather than running smoothly, the clock will pause on a time, then jump ahead. 0:00:491 - 0:00:497 - 0:00:591 - 0:00:631 - 0:00:664 and so on... It's not regular intervals, seems random. When I play back, it seems to have captured only the first quarter to half second only. It doesn't matter if I'm in a new file, in a previously saved file, using punch and roll or straight recording, multitrack or mono. It's capturing *some* of the room noise, so doesn't seem to be the mic. I've checked the settings and I have the correct hardware in and out selected. I ju
I've been dealing with this issue for a while now and have yet to find a fix. I'm using a MacBook (mid 2015, 16 gb memory, ntel Iris Pro 1536 MBI) to run Audition, an mxl990 mic to record, and a scarlet solo 2nd gen as the audio interface. Every time I make a multi-track session and arm any track to record the program will crash if I hit either the record button or spacebar. I've set inputs and outputs to the scarlet, I've looked at my multitrack settings, and I've made sure the sample rates are the same everywhere. The program just disappears and I'm stuck looking at my desktop screen. On a few occasions (like 2-3 times) I can start recording but the moment I stop it the program crashes. I've used a USB mic to record into Audition with no trouble so I'm not sure if the problem lies in the program or my audio interface, but I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere. Audition is the main reason I'm subscribed and it's become increasingly frustrating that I can't
Hi, hope you can help me. I have Windows 10 and Adobe Audition 1.5. I have recently bought a Blue Yeti USB microphone in order to use Adobe Audition to record podcasts, where I have a guest via Zoom/Skype. I have tried it out and think there is something not quite right with my Windows/Audition settings. My headphones are plugged into my USB Yeti mic and I can hear my guest on Zoom in my headphones. However when I try to record the conversation in Audition it’s only recording me. In Windows, under Sound, Playback and Recording, Yet1 is selected. Please see attachment: settings screenshots.pdf What do the settings need to be for Audition to record me and someone via Zoom/Skype? Thank youPatrick
Is there a way to assign a keyboard shortcut that would create a Fade-in like the one in the video? Maybe some plugin or script that would help? Video:https://www.berrycast.com/conversations/31435d55-6790-5e16-87b2-7155f1983f4f I have a lot of this in conversation. Usually it is two words combined, e.g. "ummmmmright". Without adding the Fade-In as in the video you can hear a "tick" - and if I add it you can hear fine. Just how to speed up such a process? Thanks for your help!
