When I'm trying to move an image in the "content" tab into a subfolder with a special character in the name ("subfolder?"), I get an errormessage telling me that the "item already exists". When I click on Auto-Resolve it simply changes the name of the image by adding a " (1)" without moving the file - even though there's no other image with the same file name. What I've already tested:Moving it in the finder in macOS works.Moving it in other applications works. Opening the file, editing the file and saving the file works. So the file is not corrupt. This happens with all files. When I remove the question mark from the folder name ("subfolder") it works. Looks like Brige is puzzled by a folder name with special characters - certainly a bug and not a feature.
I have just updated my Bridge and Photoshop to their latest versions (November 2019, see detailed version info below). **** See also UPDATE below (Bridge may now use PNGs for thumbnail/preview files in the cache for certain layered PSD files!). It seems that there are some problems with color management in the new Bridge. The previous version which I have used until yesterday worked OK. Nothing changed in system except new Adobe apps today. Updated my graphics driver just before Adobe apps (see version info below). I use Bridge/Photoshop for photography. In Bridge the previews and thumbnails Bridge looks OK for old photos (JPEG, PSD, Raw). However, when editing old PSD files or when creating new PSD documents, the preview for the new files will (often) be wrong. What I observe is about the same effect as I get when I view photos with an application that does not support color management. Since my monitor has a wide gamut LCD panel, the difference is quite prono
Hi,I have a 2021 M1 Macbook pro with 64 gb of RAM. I am using Bridge and Camera Raw and noticing that every 5-10 minutes it is freezing and I get the pinwheel of death. It last anywhere between a 10 seconds to almost a minute. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any options I can change to prevent this as its getting very annoying. Thanks
I have updated to bridge 13.0.2 and it is sooo slow, i cant have photoshop open at the same time. Is anyone else have the same problem.
I recently switched to a new Dropbox account and while all of my other apps (including Photoshop) see and access the folder/files in this new Dropbox, Bridge does not and actually accesses and shows the files/folders of my previous Dropbox. I can't figure out why this is. I removed my Bridge install and reinstalled it hoping this would correct the issue, but it has not. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to correct this? I'm running on macOS Ventura 13.2.
When converting photos from RAW to TIFF then Adobe Bridge is putting extra thumbnail to image files called "Photoshop Thumbnail". The problem is that some other photo editors (like GIMP) can't handle correctly that thumbnail.Currenlty I must every time remove the Photoshop Thumbnail with Exiftool (-photoshopthumbnail=) but sometimes I forget to do so...
Don't know if this is a bug or a non-feature.... I needed to adjust the top folder name where all other picture folders are nested under.I right-clicked and made a minor adjustment. Everything seemed to work fine.....that is until I clicked on one of my Collections by accident. I got an error message that the location didn't exist anymore. When I clicked this away, it automatically removed the item and jumped straight to next one, which also didn't exist anymore and so it went. I stopped, force closed, renamed folder back in File Explorer and restarted Bridge. Everything worked fine again. - First, if you change a folder name withing Bridge, this should have the necessary repercussions on items within Bridge.- If a Collections destination can't be found, you should be able to re-locate it then and there.- Collection should not automatically dissapear.- It definitely should not automatically jump to next one, which then also dissapears. The only reason
No puedo descargar en BRIDGE las fotos de mi nueva X-H2s, no hay comunicacion entre BRIDGE y la camara
Hi,When I first opened Bridge, it asked for access to various parts of my Mac computer. I gave access to some parts that I now want to withdraw. Please can someone tell me how to do this. Thank you, Kim
I have been banging my head against the wall to write a script that removes EXIF, EXIFEX, and EXIF-AUX data from files. I'm using Bridge 2022 and Photoshop 2023. After numerous attempts, what happens is that Bridge will run a script flawlessly and APPEAR to have removed data, but purging cache or opening a file in a different application shows that it didn't happen. var Thumbs = app.document.selections; //apply to all selected thumbs if(ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript == undefined) ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript = new ExternalObject('lib:AdobeXMPScript'); //load library for metadata for(var a in Thumbs){ try{ if(Thumbs[a].hasMetadata){ var ThumbsMeta = Thumbs[a].synchronousMetadata; //get metadata var ThumbsXMP = new XMPMeta(ThumbsMeta.serialize()); XMPUtils.removeProperties(ThumbsXMP, '', '', XMPConst.REMOVE_ALL_PROPERTIES); var ThumbsUpdatedPacket = ThumbsXMP.serialize();//XMPConst.SERIALIZE_USE_COMPACT_FORMAT); //update metadata object Thumbs[a].metadata = new
My goal is to use the Bridge Image Processor to help create a logo package more quickly and efficiently. I am able to batch export most file types, including PDFs, from Illustrator, but I can't get transparent, print-ready TIFFs without going through Photoshop. When I use Bridge's Image Processor on the PDFs, it changes all the images to 675x1080, regardless of their original dimensions. That is the correct dimensions for one of the images in the set, so I could do the photos in chunks based on proportions, but then it's not a big time saver compared to manually opening and resaving each file. It does not do this when I'm working with other file formats that are not PDFs, but I don't have any other CMYK color space logo files to use to start with. If this bug is unfixable, I'd be open to other ideas for workflows to automate logo packages and/or file conversion in general!
Hi. I have some problem wiht Bridge 2023 keyboard shortcuts: the combination with cmd+D doesn't show me the desktop like the past version. Afterward, in preview mode, when I press the number key for change label colors, I can't see the color and I have to return to the thumbnails view. This problem slow down my workflow, I hope it will be fixed soon. I have a Mac Book Pro 2021 M1 Max with MacOs Monterey 12.6. Thanks.

Photodownloader (PD) is acting weird with CFExpress & SD/UHS memory cards from a Prograde PG 5.5 card reader (while other memory cards are working normally).PD is recognizing memory card in reader, opening with previous settings of a download, however you cannot select another location folder to download to ((sub))folders are not shown), nor you can select other options like avanced renaming etc. If you hit download it does nothing (no download) or it shows error 0x0000005. Very occasionally it does work, but then next reboot it is not anymore. This is not specific to latest version of Bridge; happen with previous (sub) versions as well. Download of mediafiles using Windows 10 explorer instead works fine without any issue. Again, using other hispeed usb memory card readers, also on same USB connection, works fine. Any help, support or suggestions appreciated.Computer is Windows 10 Pro ASUS Zenith II Extreme Alpha, Prograde connected via USB 3.2 (Gen
Hello everyone.... I'm having some issues with Camera Raw when opened through Br and I couldn't find any solutions online. When i open 30+ photos in Camera Raw and start editing them by making different adjustments with brushes, lightining or darkening parts of it, those brushes dissappear when i complete the editing and hit open in PS. So once they're open in Ps, almost none of the adjustments are visible.... For example if i lightened the whole photo, just to darken some parts of it, the photo shows up in Ps completely bright with no darkened parts.... Does anyone know the solution od this. I use Macbook but the same thing is happening on my regular desktop PC..... Help ☹
I get two or more instances of a photo in Bridge.I've had up to 20 instances of one photo and selecting any of them, then all gets selected. But now it has evolved, I have present only 2 instances of 2 photos edited in Photoshop. The unique thing now is that I can select one instance and change information such as stars without effecting the other instance. On the disk there is only one file of that photo ... What is going on ????? Bridge version 13.02636Photoshop 24.1.1Windows 11
Hello friends, After many years of lurking these forums for various solutions over the years, I have finally come across an issue perplexing enough to warrant a post. For some background info, I recently updated all my devices and CC apps and am running macOS Ventura and Bridge 13.0.2.636 I'm in the process of consolidating my iPhone photo and videos backups to iCloud to free up space on my iMac/generally making my workflow more efficient. Previously, I would use Apple Photos to import images and videos from my iPhone onto my iMac and export them as "unmodified originals" to annual archive folders. However, last year I discoverd a batch of ~500 videos from 2019 that were in a different format (.m4v instead of the usual .MOV) and they'd somehow had their metadata stripped away and replaced with an incorrect creation date - I assume this date delineates when this disaster occured. Whats more bizarre, all the photos from this period (May-September) didn't have their metadata aff
Normally I'll click the red 'X' icon in the top left of the window to hide Bridge, and the app stays open. However the latest version quits the app... similar to how After Effects treats the close button. Not exactly the end of the world, but I prefer being able to hide the app like that rather than minimizing the window... is this no longer possible?
Hi guys!I use a Windows 10 laptop and today received this error message (screenshot enclosed) when I opened Adobe Bridge. I updated the display driver, but got the message again. Can you advise please? Regards, Fergal.
I have recently bought a new computer - Windows11Pro , and opened images in Bridge. I renamed the shots and now all I can see is a placeholder icon - no image shows. I shoot Nikon, I have purged, tried older versions of Bridge . I can 'see' images from the past(haven't tried to rename or add metadata), just can't see images from this week. after downloading a job I get an alert - Maximum tabs opened - no idea what that means. I have worked with Photoshop since PS4. I have a scratch disk and a raid drive that i put jobs on. NVIDA GeForce RTX 3070Ti. So I just did it again with the images and when I rename the files that's when the content images dissapear. I have the preview screen in the middle with content in filmstrip mode on the right. Thanks for any guidance you can provide.
I am no longer able to edit photos using Camera Raw as of a few days ago. When I select photos within Bridge and click edit in Camera Raw, I get the spinning icon, a small window then opens and closes quickly and Bridge freezes without opening Camera Raw. It shows using over 50% of my memory in task manager, and stays locked up and the only way out is to end task. I have attempted to re-install prior versions all the way back to 12.0.4 all with the same result. I have attempted both software and hardware encoding with no impact. Anyone else having similar issues or ideas?
Photoshop, Lightroom, Acrobat,... tudo funciona corretamente, exceto o Bridge 2023. Solicito orientação para novos procedimentos.
For users with multiple devices, it is frustrating to have to duplicate or triplicate modifications made to settings in Bridge, when you move your work in other devices. There are myriads of reasons why this is a necessary fix: most obviously photographers editing or managing their files on the road or while traveling. Having to reinvent the wheel for application consistency when Adobe Cloud exists seems unnecessary.I appreciate and respect Adobe applications and use many of them. What is the reason for hurdle?
