Why do I have to cache the image directory every time I switch to open it, and why is the large file caching so slow and slow! bridge 14.0.0

Hello! I'm in search of a Bridge script that will write a filename (without file extension) to the description line, title line, and Credit line (without overwriting!) in my IPTC metadata. I've looked around and haven't found something already written that does this and I don't quite have enough skills to write it myself or adapt something that exists already. Any leads or suggestions? Hello,  When I view raw photos in Bridge that are dark/underexposed, they show up in this low quality/pixelated state. But it only happens when i view from my external monitor - when same file is opened in PS or any other app, viewed from the same monitor, its totally fine. And any other file format when viewed in Bridge in external monitor renders fine. Any ideas? (sample image brightened up for clarity in pixelation). 

I've had the latest (and terrible) release of Bridge 2023 crash my Windows 10 Pro workstation a couple of times now.  The last time was when I simply quit Bridge.  It froze the computer, went to black displays, and then restarted.  I'm fairly certain that Bridge is the culprit and not something else since the workstation has only done this when Bridge is in use.Not sure what Adobe devs are doing these days but Bridge is a hot mess.  Anyone else experiencing these types of crashes? Running Windows 10 Pro (22H2 - build 19045.2486)Bridge Version 13.0.2.636

Have large number of .tif scans, and need to manually rotate many of them. They are properly rotated in Bridge, but when I look into their folder via windows explorer - they have not changed. Is there an additional step I need to take at this point?

In version 23 of Bridge when i select Tools > Photoshop > Image Processor  or Batch I receive the error message Install Latest version of Photoshop.This only occurs on Mac Mini M1 What is the resolution to this problem?

Hello,I just opened Bridge and I see that all the labeling and rating I did on my RAW files is gone. Also gone are all the settings applied in ACR, basically everything looks as if it's just been imported.The option to open in Camera Raw has dissappeared and files RAW files are not recognised by photoshop.I had a lot of settings applied on my images, everything is gone! Please help this is disastrous. 

I wish you could change the location of the Bridge Media Cache folder. Everything else is able to do so. I like to put all the cache on a separate hard drive.

I've been using quite an older version of Bridge from the photography subscription online. I've been doing some color labels, but mostly star rating on all my folders, for each photoshoot. I bought a new IMac and installed the latex version of Adobe Bridge and discovered that my previous shoots that I've worked on - starred and labeled and then edited - did not display the star ratings or color labels I had done in the older Bridge version.  Is it possible to bring those ratings and labels back?  It would save lots of hours of work and a certainly a big headache.Thank you in advance for any thoughts or ideas

My Client spends hours typing in "Keywords" in bridge to camera ARW Raw files. The XMP files are sent with the Raws. I can see my clients Keywords in Bridge. I Export the Files from Capture One and they no longer appear in under the headline of "KeyWords". Yet if I do finder info, they are still there? I couldn't find anything on Capture One about this. I see them in there when I process the files. I had ADobe log into my machine for 2 hours today. Couldn't find a solution. I upgraded my MAc OX to 13.5 ( As PS Beta was asking me to for all the features ). I have litereally spent half a day on this.. Hoping for a solution. I can't see this issue being even posted on any of these forums. Please Help!! Will be muchly appreciated...

I feel like this deserves a topic thread. It might even be useful for Adobe to understand what an opportunity they are missing out on! Since Bridge was first introduced, on every single system, every OS, every GPU and CPU configuration i have had over the years, - it has always been terrible. Why?  It should be a replacement for windows explorer/finder. An advance file management system. Instead it is a space grabbing resource chugging nightmare. In the five minutes I have loaded up this forum, typed this message and will hit send - in that same five minutes adobe bridge has generated two thumbnails. If I do this within windows or finder, it takes less than 20 seconds to batch rename all my media. Please solve this riddle and make this tool worthwhile.

Hello, I've just update both Photoshop and Bridge to 2023, but I can't find Image Processor anymore.  Anyone knows where it is?Can't image process from Photoshop as it processes all images from the selected Folder!  I need to select only some files from the folder!Thank you,

haha I feel like i'm in the twilight zone posting about this... again.    Images filling the screen is a cornerstone for the viewing, presenting and rating experience, which is what this program is all about, no?  Currently fullscreen is a draining and distracting experience if you have size variations in your images and you want them to simply be 'full screen'.   People have been complaining about this for years & years along with the 200% incremental zoom limit which seems to be tied to this.  Scaling images at any percent is incredibly easy in code so there must be some other reason???  Can Adobe shed some light on why this basic, essential feature has been continually excluded?    Also theres a UI bug with the new Mac Laptops that have added the notch, which covers / blocks Bridge's overlay UI in Full screen mode.  

For example I am searching within one folder 2023Dogsthen the name of the dogUnfortunately it displays all the photos labelled 2023Does anyone have a solution?thankyou Shannon

Windows 11 23H2 (I9 CPU and Nvidia RTX A4500 GPU)Adobe Bridge 14.0.1.137 I have just noticed that playing a slideshow fails to work correctly (halts completely on the third image) in the following circumstances:The selected images are from a collection (smart or not)Images are selected by choosing a higher level folder and using View>Show Items from Subfolders This is not dependent upon the file type - tested with JPEG, DNG and TIFF nor the number of images.Slide duration, Caption, type of fill (Centred, Scaled to Fit, Scaled to Fill) Transition Options and Transition Speed do not seem to affect this issue for better or worse. Note that there is no problem with the slideshow displaying correctly when the images are from a single folder, regardless of the number of images in that folder or their type.

When I select all of the files I want to rename on my SSD, and open Batch Rename, the option "Rename in same folder" is grayed out. How do I enable it? I haven't had this issue before, but this is a new external SSD I transferred all of my files to. Thanks.

I use Bridge, Photoshop and Lightroom. Photoshop has A LOT of glitches, Lightroom is better but painfully slow, but Bridge is simply unusable - I am opening a folder with ONE SMALL JPEG file in Bridge and it takes literally forever - I mean like 10 minutes or more. Hey, developers! It takes TEN MINUTES to open a folder with one small file. WTF?

I use to be able to run this action set and save as _RT now when i type it in it changes doc name to NONE and keeps saying to put in a name what am I doing wrong here?  I've tired it on both 2024 and 2022 version. Im lost

I have read many posts on this forum about bridge not showing file extensions after a batch rename. posts like this:https://community.adobe.com/t5/bridge-discussions/bridge-is-still-removing-the-file-extension-when-performing-batch-rename/td-p/11212492I am experiencing a much worse issue with batch rename. I have tested this by duplicating a folder with images and after the batch rename comparing the 2 folders to see what has changed. This is what happened: 1. File names are not all renamed (some are always left and I have to do a 2nd rename process to get these right). This is a minor problem, though annoying.2. Bridge changes file extensions. Many of my dng files are now .HEIC or .JPG. I can change back to dng manually and it still has my edits also. So it doesnt seem to change the file content, just the extension.3. Some conversion is taking place. In the duplicate folder the smallest file was about 1MB large. But after batch rename I now have 300 , 400 KB files in the folder.

My issue:I saved an HDR file in jpeg after working on it in the latest Adobe Camera Raw in Bridge as of 2023, I then opened that jpeg on my Mac desktop but I didn't see the HDR edits, I also uploaded the image to Google Drive and don't see the HDR edits. I open that same HDR file in Bridge Camera Raw and I see the edited HDR settings. My conclusion is that it's Adobe Bridge Camera Raw can view the HDR settings but those settings can't be viewed otherwise. Dear all,I selected a group of photos under Bridge 2024 and tried to assign a common keyword to all of them.  However, the keyword was only assigned to the first photo but not the rest, and when I closed the Bridge and reopened it, the assigned keyword just disappeared.  I tried purging the cache but it didn't help.  What can I do?  Thank you.

The latest version of Bridge is has become very slow.What settings should I have or use to make it as fast as possible.Example of what is going slow:I have a folder with 1000 images. 200 are labeled.I want to select all images with a label.After checking the red label left in the filterbox I have to wait sometimes more than 10 to 15 seconds before something happens.... It wasn't like that before....using windows 11 (before the last adobe updates everything was working fine) Help me, this has to change! Thanks!

Today keyword searching accidentally stopped working, I just tried update Adobe Bridge to latest version but still not working. What happened? It doesn't even try index files/folders...
