Bridge

Every time I start Bridge (the latest) I first need to go to finder to open a network volume (a driver attached to another Mac) where my files are. Of course I would like to open it directly in Bridge. It is not just that. Thereafter, I need to search for the particular folder, as they do not stay as Bridge's favorites! So, there is unnecessary trouble just to get in to work. Is there any solution - that is, just to pen Bridge and then find the network volume I want, instantly?

For a long time now, when plugging either of my cameras in, which automatically opens Downloader, it ALWAYS highlights the 2nd card in the camera... all cards are the same make and size, and I have also swapped them round... as well as having lots more drives plugged in, which means that the drive letters of the camera change...What am I doing wrong...?TIA for any suggestions.Windows 11 and Bridge 14 fully up to date all the time...

We always use the “prefer embedded” thumbnails preview – as any other option is far too slow for our use-case. Unfortunately, Bridge cannot even serve this simplest option properly – all thumbnails are needlessly blurry (lower quality than one should expect from the default thumbnail).Switching any search result to a higher quality preview mode and then going back to the lowest mode retains the good quality – even after reload (F5) or switching to some other context and re-establishing the selection. To me, it seems that embedded thumbs aren't properly read, initially.[Personal content removed by moderator. Bridge is unable to read files present on the desktop.Older version 2022 did work fine and I kept it for some time but then it got cancelled. Future versons never worked as fine as the older version did: I used it as viewer and now it's usless.To be honest, I started using bridge some time ago when it worked as a sort of easy lightroom. When things changed all my modifications on the files got lost. So I had to start using Lightroom, but lightroom isn't that good for slideshows, Bridge instead was BEFORE...Is there a way to correct the current issue or retrive older version of Bridge?Thanks for any help that con be goven

Hi guys, hoping you can help me!Up until today this has not been a problem, and things have always written fine.I have multiple folders of TIFF images that I am trying to update Metadata. Files are all ~150-200Mb.When I enter the metadata and hit return, I do not get the usual 'flicker' at the status bar, but metadata looks like it has saved. Clicking off the file and back on again, and everything entered has not saved. There are no seperate XMP files created or anything like tht, it simply does not stick to the file!This is happening with multiple files, scanned and saved on different days, but is sporadic, in that, some files DO save the metadata, so it is not a blanket rule. Files are not locked (I checked) or otherwise inaccessible, as I have batch unlocked everything... Things I have already tried:Resetting Bridge to factory settings / erasing cache etcTrying a different version of Bridge (I use 2020, I also tried 2022 - I cannot upgrade further, as I am on a MacBook Pro 2012

Hello, for full-screen image viewing, Adobe Bridge has- full screen view (started with space bar)- presentation view (started with Ctrl-L) In any of these views, can I show image data as an overlay? Like Exif data? I'm aware it's possible in Lightroom (by pressing "I"), and I believe it WAS possible in Bridge long time ago. In Bridge's presentation view, I can press "H" to show available commands. There is no command about displaying image properties (only about rotating and rating). In full-screen view, "H" for a command list doesn't work. While I could do this kind of full screen view with image data overlayed in LR (or in freewares XnView MP or FastStone Image Viewer, for that matter), I'd love it in Bridge. Not possible? Thanks!

If I create a new folder in Bridge 2024 (Windows 11), in about 50% of the cases the focus is directly on the label and I can start typing.But I can not rely on - since in the other 50%, the new folder is created with name "New Folder" and I have to click the label and wait (or press F2) to start the (re)naming of the folder. It's totally unpredictable, when what happens.If you rely on directly focus on the folder's label and start typing, it all ends in a big mess - since then, the typed characters are interpreted as shortcuts. Please fix this bug.

With my Nikon Z8, the Adobe Photo Downlaoder shows two folders. There is only one set of images on the card. Makes no sense. Attached is a video of the issue.

Salve a tutti , ho da poco cambiato pc , e da allora non riesco piu' a lavorare con bridge e camera raw. Dopo pochi minuti che lavoro il pc si disconnette ; il router invece e connesso , e devo riavviare il tutto perchè sparisce anche la freccia del mouse . Mi sono fatto cambiare ram , scheda video e scheda madre ho provato anche a collegarmi tramite hotspot del cellulare ma il problema perise. Qualcuno miha avuto lo stesso problema oppure sapra' dirmi come fare per risolverlo . Grazie Paolo

Al intentar abrir Brige versión 13.0.2 me aparece la pantalla totalmente en negro y un recuadro en rojo con una X en el centro, y me indica CERRAR.Puede ser problema con la tarjeta gráfica ?????Gracias a quien pueda darme una respuesta y solución.

I'm on Bridge 14.0 -- installed a few days ago. I change the default setting for various photos to Photoshop, but somewhere in the using of Bridge -- the default changes to Illustrator. When I'm working on 29 photos for a story -- this is quite the time-waster. Sometimes, when I close Bridge and reopen, Then the defaults are correct. But not always. Any clues?Windows 11, All CC updates to date.

See screen shots.  Bridge 13.0.3.693 has been averaging over 20% of the CPU for several days.  But while it's slowing down my use of Photoshop, it has ZERO disk activity.  What could Bridge be doing for hours on end that does not require reading from or writing to disc?

Servus!Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, Stichworte und Bewertungen von JGP-Dateien auf RAW-Dateien zu übertragen?  Ich photographiere in JPG + RAW. Aussortieren, Bewertung und Stichwortvergabe mache ich mit den JPG-Dateien, da hier die Ladezeit geringer ist als bei den RAW-Dateien. Wie könnte ich jetzt bei 400 Photos die Stichworte und Bewertungen auf die gleichen RAWs übertragen? Lg Leander

Hey there,my Bridge does not generate any thumbnails/preview images for my 4K/h.256/10bit/v-log video files.I tried increasing the max. amount of mb, clearing cache, etc... it's simply not working.My 4K videos with 8bit are processed normally. This is pretty annoying in my workflow and makes Bridge absolutely useless to me.I currently run version 12.0.1.246 and it seems like there is no further update. I really need a fix for this asap.... Thanks in advance! (The attached screenshot shows the difference between 8bit and 10bit files)

I recently completed a full upgrade on my PC inc motherboard and processor with Windows 10 pro already installed. I installed Creative Cloud followed by Bridge 13.03.693, Photoshop 24.5.0 and Lightroom. At this point I was able to download images to Bridge as normal.After a week of testing etc I updated to Windows 11 Pro and now I am unable to download from my camera and receive the following Photodownloader.exe System Error. 'The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem'.I have installed Faststone ImageViewer and can download images  succesfully and edit from bridge.Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, I am new to Adobe Bridge, but I am struggling with deleting keywords. Whenever I delete 'Other Keywords' they immediately come back. I have attached a video to give you a better understanding of what I mean. Also, does anyone know of any good alternatives to Bridge that work in the same way but with a better way to narrow down keyword searches. Doing Control + F and then doing that 'all criteria met' thing is such a long way to narrow down searches, which the filter option was able to do this.

Jumping from cs6 to cc2023 on my newer macbook pro running ventura  13.6, I have found that many of my subfolders and many images are not visible in bridge. They are in the finder, but I can't see them in bridge. How do I fix this?

HiForever ive been hoping the keyword seperator could be changed to a comma instead of a semi colon, is this at all possible?So many time i cut and paste keywords from bridge to 'other locations' and these location only recognise comma seperators. Would just save me another step in the work flow.

Good morning, I'm writing because since I switched from Nikon D800 to Nikon Z6II (about 5 months ago), I've been experiencing an issue with creating HDR images in Lightroom Classic. Nothing too terrible, but it's still a bothersome problem that seems a lot like a bug. Here's how to replicate the issue:   Open the bracketed images in Adobe Bridge and select "Remove Chromatic Aberration" for all the images. The lens profile correction is already preselected, so just click "Save."   Import the images into Lightroom and proceed with the HDR merging and DNG creation.   Return to Bridge and open one of the created DNGs in Camera Raw. You'll notice that the lens profile section has lost its automatic selection.   To resolve this issue, manually set the lens profile back to "Automatic" to reapply the correct lens profile.   I hope this bug gets resolved. Thank you!

Hello everyone, I need some assistance, please! After renaming a batch of files, I noticed that the file extensions were missing and I am no longer able to preview them.  I am using Bridge version 14.0.0.012 on a Mac. I have attached some screenshots for reference. This is my first time using Bridge and I am worried that I have lost all the files that were renamed. Your help is greatly appreciated.
