Hello! I've been using Adobe Bridge for years, it's been a valuable tool and asset and absolutely necessary for an ideal workflow when editing a lot of images with tags and stars etc. And it's been great until Bridge 2023 was introduced. Now I'm constantly facing issues that are not being resolved. Every other day the application runs out of system memory because it uses up +250GB of RAM even though it's just running in idle in the background. Mabye it can't handle the system going to sleep? I don't know but I don't turn off my Mac every day and I certainly won't do that just for Bridge 2023.And speaking of "idle" - it's alway using some CPU power in idle (even though it's not a lot) - and while doing so it's the only application I've ever seen to cause coil whine on a Apple Silicon CPU.It's almost like it's trying to bild an index in the background even though I can't see any option to turn that off - and it does a horrible job while doing so.I've tried uninstalling/rei
Folder list refreshed when I move/drag photos. So I have to scroll down all the time.In the older versions the list didn't refresh.
I've updated to 11.0 from 10.1.1, everytime I try to delete a picture in Bridge the program freezes and I have to use task manager to stop Bridge. I have done a clean fresh insall of 11 no help (all defaults reset). I am now back to 10.1.1 with a clean install and deleting files works fine. Running Win 10 on an ASUS N501JW Laptop, i7 16gb ram, plenty of space on the SSD.
I processed Raw images in Adobe Bridge on a local drive during a trip and gave the star rating and edited in Camera Raw. At home, I imported the images in Lightroom Classic from the same folder to a NAS. The raw edits were all applied correctly. However, the ratings are not displayed. The XMP rating is not visible. I looked at the XMP files in the Lightroom directory with Text Edit, there is clearly the rating as xmp:Rating="1" with e.g. 1 star listed. I then copied the xmp files from the local directory again into the Lightroom directory, without success. So is there any idea how to solve this problem? Thanks for your help!
Hi there. I keep noticing that when I make adjustments in bridge with camera raw, I don;t see the adjustments in the thumbnail in the film strip. any suggestions? thank you
When I change my label color in Bridge, the same color doesn't shox off in Lr.Similarly, if I change it in Lr, it doesn't appear the same way in Bridge. Instead of the correct color, a white generic label appears. Does anyone know how to have a painless synchronization of the labels between these two apps ?
Apparently this is an old issue as well, but Bridge was working perfectly fine before my system security updates to my mac yesterday. I'm running Monterey 12.6.5. Now today I can't open Bridge without it crashing and the only thing it says is ERROR. Any ideas what may be happening?
I used to have options like "Add" at the bottom of the Keywords panel but they seem to be missing now. Any ideas?
If I want to move a photo to another folder within bridge, that happens, but the pop-up 'move' remains stuck and keeps indicating 0%, only disappears after clicking away. The moved photo also remains visible in the folder from which it was moved. Usually it succeeds in removing it, but it still appears after opening another folder. Only after bouncing bridge has it usually (not always) disappeared from the map. Furthermore, duplicating within a folder does not work, it can only be duplicated after moving it to another folder. Sometimes the entire folder also hangs / rotates and nothing can be done with the photos. The information how many photos are in the folder and the file size are then not visible. After closing bridge, the folder works again. [Mod: Move to the appropriate forum]

Hello. I purchased a MacBookPro 16.2" M1 Max (late 2021 model). I am running Ventura 13.1 OS. I've updated all my Creative Cloud Apps and cannot open Bridge 2023; instead I get the message "Adobe Bridge 13.0.2 won't open. The operation could not be completed. A write permission error has occurred." I cannot find anything current on adobe's forum. Can you help, please? Mark

Just got a new Mac mini M2 Pro, running on Ventura 13.3.1Photoshop opened up without any issues, but trying the 2023 version of bridge got me this error message;Found the solution here:But when I do open Terminal and write the above line I get this:I am the only user on this computer, totally new and should be the admin, but it says there is no such user?Probably a mac support question but maybe some of you know what I could do here?Cheers in advanceCalle

Hello,I have been uploading my images to Adobe Creative Cloud library and I want to manage my image assets via Bridge. I can see my Library (uploaded) images in Bridge but when I am trying to add keywords or labels to these images, I could not because the menu items are inactive and checkboxes are not functioning. For the local files, they are working fine but for library files they are not. Anything I am missing out? Thanks,Guray

Bonjour, Depuis la dernière mise à jour 2023, impossible de lire des diques durs externes dans bridge ex ( time machine). Merci à vous si vous pouvez m'aider à resoudre ce problème. Bien cordialement Christophe {Title edited by Moderator}
Bridge no longer works, but Photoshop is fine. I have uninstalled Bridge, and reinstalled, even tried previous versions. Any thoughts?
I've just updated the MacOS to Ventura and updated all the CC apps (illustrator, indesign, photoshop and bridge) up to 2023 versions, but am now experiencing problems. When double-clicking a local indd file in Bridge, it opens the file. When double clicking a network volume file it gives the above error. Also, when trying to drag and drop from Bridge to the Mac desktop the same problem occurs. I can D&D local files, but get a no entry sign when trying to D&D network files. I assume this is a permissions issue but have followed whatever advice I can find including giving full disk access to Bridge in System Settings. Thoughts?
(Reposted using a more accurate heading after more testing) I've just updated the MacOS to Ventura on my 2019 iMac 27" and updated all the CC apps (illustrator, indesign, photoshop and bridge) up to 2023 versions, but am now experiencing problems. Bridge will not open any CC file from a network volume. Photoshop and Illustrator give no indication that they are trying to open files. Indesign says "missing required parameter 'from' for method 'open'" Network files dragged from Bridge to the desktop are also not allowed with the cursor changing to a no-entry symbol. Local files can be dragged and dropped with no issues. Local files can be dragged and dropped into Bridge but not vice versa. All CC files can be opened from the network volume from within their respective apps, and can be copied to the desktop via Finder. I assume this is a permissions issue but have followed whatever advice I can find including giving full disk access to Bridge in System Settings.&nb
Hello everyoneI am looking for a simple script that will do:1. read a list of keywords from a text document.2. read file names of media files in a folder.3. find the files whose names contain any of the keywords.4. open these files (only) in a search window in adobe bridge 2023.5. write file names of these files into a text document and save it to desktop.I have managed to do 1, 2, and 3 with a simple Python script, but failed miserably with the Adobe Bridge 2023 UI.Help would be greatly appreciated. Benjamin MorAmarillo, Tx
Hi,Bridge does show all the ISO Coated v2 300% color profiles of my photoshop documents but when it comes to my illustrator file, it says that it is not coded/unencrypted (English is not my first language so I am translating centrain words. I'm sorry for any spelling issues)!. It also keeps saying this when I export this file to a esp. document. I tried about everything I could possibly think of to solve this issue but I can't seem to find anything about this online. I have changed every color setting in illustrator to ISO Coated v2 300% and have changed this in bridge as well... Nothing works 😞 Here are screenshots of my bridge document and also my illustrator color profile settings. I hope it's a easy fix!
I'm trying to export jpegs from Bridge. However no matter the settings I use under metadata, my images get issued wtih FULL exif data. Serial numbers, lens serial numbers, settings used. All for potential public and clients to see. Am I the only one in the world that has noticed this? It's been about 10 years and the bug has never been fixed or much mention of it it online so I must be the only one in the world that doesnt want jpegs issued with serial numbers in the metada....
When I try to compact the cache in the latest version of Bridge it starts at 25% and does nothing, any ideas on why this is happening
I have a very large archive of EMF and WMF files and searching through them is a real pain because Bridge doesn't show any preview/thumbnail of this kind of file. Only a generic icon is shown.Illustrator handles these files very well, opening and saving them without any trouble. Is there a way to obtain a Bridge update that will show these images?
