Bridge

Bridge no longer works, but Photoshop is fine. I have uninstalled Bridge, and reinstalled, even tried previous versions. Any thoughts?

I've just updated the MacOS to Ventura and updated all the CC apps (illustrator, indesign, photoshop and bridge) up to 2023 versions, but am now experiencing problems. When double-clicking a local indd file in Bridge, it opens the file. When double clicking a network volume file it gives the above error. Also, when trying to drag and drop from Bridge to the Mac desktop the same problem occurs. I can D&D local files, but get a no entry sign when trying to D&D network files. I assume this is a permissions issue but have followed whatever advice I can find including giving full disk access to Bridge in System Settings. Thoughts?

(Reposted using a more accurate heading after more testing) I've just updated the MacOS to Ventura on my 2019 iMac 27" and updated all the CC apps (illustrator, indesign, photoshop and bridge) up to 2023 versions, but am now experiencing problems. Bridge will not open any CC file from a network volume. Photoshop and Illustrator give no indication that they are trying to open files. Indesign says "missing required parameter 'from' for method 'open'" Network files dragged from Bridge to the desktop are also not allowed with the cursor changing to a no-entry symbol. Local files can be dragged and dropped with no issues. Local files can be dragged and dropped into Bridge but not vice versa. All CC files can be opened from the network volume from within their respective apps, and can be copied to the desktop via Finder. I assume this is a permissions issue but have followed whatever advice I can find including giving full disk access to Bridge in System Settings.&nb

Hello everyoneI am looking for a simple script that will do:1. read a list of keywords from a text document.2. read file names of media files in a folder.3. find the files whose names contain any of the keywords.4. open these files (only) in a search window in adobe bridge 2023.5. write file names of these files into a text document and save it to desktop.I have managed to do 1, 2, and 3 with a simple Python script, but failed miserably with the Adobe Bridge 2023 UI.Help would be greatly appreciated. Benjamin MorAmarillo, Tx

Hi,Bridge does show all the ISO Coated v2 300% color profiles of my photoshop documents but when it comes to my illustrator file, it says that it is not coded/unencrypted (English is not my first language so I am translating centrain words. I'm sorry for any spelling issues)!. It also keeps saying this when I export this file to a esp. document. I tried about everything I could possibly think of to solve this issue but I can't seem to find anything about this online.  I have changed every color setting in illustrator to ISO Coated v2 300% and have changed this in bridge as well... Nothing works 😞 Here are screenshots of my bridge document and also my illustrator color profile settings. I hope it's a easy fix!             

I'm trying to export jpegs from Bridge.  However no matter the settings I use under metadata, my images get issued wtih FULL exif data. Serial numbers, lens serial numbers, settings used. All for potential public and clients to see.  Am I the only one in the world that has noticed this? It's been about 10 years and the bug has never been fixed or much mention of it it online so I must be the only one in the world that doesnt want jpegs issued with serial numbers in the metada....

When I try to compact the cache in the latest version of Bridge it starts at 25% and does nothing, any ideas on why this is happening 

I have a very large archive of EMF and WMF files and searching through them is a real pain because Bridge doesn't show any preview/thumbnail of this kind of file. Only a generic icon is shown.Illustrator handles these files very well, opening and saving them without any trouble. Is there a way to obtain a Bridge update that will show these images?

When in "View content as thumbnails," image preview of video is not showing- just: a "film strip with Q." Also, "Preview Video on Mouse Hover" is not working. Caches are emptied in Preferences and at start up. I need to see a sample of video as a thumbnail otherwise I have to open each video in Quicktime.Adobe Bridge : 12.0.1.246. ; Mac 10.15.7

I just  noticed no reset workspace in Bridge. Was it not there before as in PS? thanks.

Hi GuysI have installed the newest Bridge on my Mac Studio. I have my Adobe Stock library on an external NVME drive (read speed 1500 MB). First, Bridge takes 30 sec. to start up and it cuts the connection to my card reader with the "disk did not eject properly" error,I have 1500 media files, but it takes around 5 min. to generate preview and thumbnail files, and it does not seem to save them on exit. Not sure, what I can do to speed it up. On my old iMac 2017 with mechanical disks, it was much quicker.Thanks in advance.

so what is going on? still broken. it also did not work in bridge version 12. MAC OS 12.6.5 Montereyintel imac 2020 5K

Hi,I made a post about many problems I have been having with Bridge/Camera raw on a Mac. I had a reply from a volunteer,  who did their best but was clearly not an expert.... and hence did not solve any of the problems! I dont blame him, as Adobe should not rely on volunteers when they are taking large annual fees from us. But to add insult to injury Adobe then sent me several emails asking me if my question had been answered. The only option would be to say yes!!!! ie there was no way to say no and that I needed a proper answer. A shameful and pathetic way to treat customers. And as far as i can tell, my query is now lost in a backwater, never to be solved! Guy

I just installed win 11 and now bridge cc  100% previews open on my second monitor.Before installing win 11 it opened on same screen (monitor)I can't find a setting to correct this, anyone got any ideas?Thanks Marc P 

Newest Bridge 13.0.1 does not allow scrolling in Content Window using Page Up, Page Down.Mac Os Big Sur. Also, in File Info, Info window scrolls way past any data. This is new behavior.

My work and home computers both access a folder in my main Dropbox folder called "camera-import."- At work, I can use keyword search within this folder with no problems.- At home, the same keyword search finds nothing.If I go up one level into the main Dropbox folder, the keyword search works if I check 'include all subfolders.' This doesn't help me, because I only want to find the files within that one folder, not all of Dropbox. I'm running Bridge 13.0.3.693 on both computers.I have rebuilt the folder cache.Other suggestions?

I open a photo from Bridge to use in Camera Raw and then Photoshop.  When finished I save/close the photo and return to Bridge.  The image I just opened is highlighted as is the next photo in the sequence.  So now I have two photos highlighted.  This just started happening.  Previously Bridge would highlight only the next photo in the sequence.  How do I stop it from highlighting two photos?

Double-clicking to open an After Effect file in Bridge will open After Effect but then a window prompt will indicate the file "does not exist". I can open the same After Effect files straight from After Effect though. 

Many of the issues in this latest version of Bridge on Mac Ventura can be solved by going to System Preferences on Mac.It's now called System Settings. Go to Privacy and Security. You will have to add Adobe Bridge 2023 to 4 of the items listed there:Files and Folders, Full Disk Access, Accessibility and Input Monitoring. Select each of these one at a time, and if you don't see Adobe Bridge 2023 in the list, click on the TINY little + sign at bottom.  This opens your Application folder. Click on Adobe Bridge 2023.app inside the Adobe Bridge folder. Click Open. Now it will show up in the list. Do this for all 4 items in Pricacy and Security.  Restart the computer. When I did this, and opened Bridge, all my issues were solved. Hope this helps.

Hallo! Bei mir in der Bridge Ansicht wird nur der Ordner Dokumente mit einem kleinen Pfeil im Kreis angezeigt (Screenshot). Die Inhalte aus diesem Ordner werden nicht angezeigt. Bis jetzt habe ich das Programm neu installiert und die Rechte für den Ordner unterschiedlich geändert, obwohl sie bei allen Ordnern gleich sind. Auch neugestartet. Kann mir jemand helfen?

PSD files not showing in Bridge 2023, message: "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file." Files can be opened directly into Photoshop. MacBook Pro 2022  OS 13.3.1  Any ideas?

Ich habe ausversehen ein paar Bilder in Adobe Bridge 2023 gelöscht. Kann ich diese irgendwo wiederherstellen?

The new update of Adobe Bridge 13.0.3.693; still has bugs for when I exit out from RAW editing from within Bridge in Photoshop CC or Bridge only, it crashes every time and leaves a dump file. So, when are the Adobe Engineers team are going to fix this issue, please? 

I've been having trouble with keywords saving in Bridge. When I select a keyword and click away, the keyword does not save. It does seem to work if I manually type the keyword into the file data. The files are from Google Drive but other people working on the same files don't seem to have this issue. I have tried accessing the files both offline with no luck. Any way I can fix this?
