Bridge

I'm forced to use Bridge CS6 since Adobe removed to function from CC. It's been working as expected until this morning. In the panel view, all my presets have disappeared and I can't make new ones as all the panel options are shaded out. If I right-click on an image and try to export, my presets are there but nothing happens when I choose one. Its happened on 2 separate installations so isn't isolated problem. I've restarted the software and PC and tried resetting the to factory default with ctl- alt on restart.If anyone can suggest a fix would be great, but please dont waste your time suggesting Image processor or raw save as an alternative. Nether help work flow and stop me using Photoshop while they are processing and arntfit for purpose. Lightroom is also unusable because of the way we work. I know its an old version but the feature is gold dust to me and saves hours per day.

tried to use Bridge for sorting my picture files from the shoot and got the problem deleting files. every time get the message "the error occurred during the delete operation. Some files may not have been processed." it doesn't matter if i use delet or move to trash options, one file or multiple files. checked all the permitions, everything 777, in privacy options on mac bridge has full access to everything. and it doesn't matter if i try to do it on external hard drive or on mac os drive. would appreciate any suggestions.

I'm working with a client that it's trying to copy SVG files from Adobe Bridge then trying to paste them into AdobeDesign to make changes but when doing this it's showing up as a code, not the image. Has anyone seen that before?

I've been using Bridge on my 32" 4K monitor for over a year now and kept hoping the scaling issue would get fixed with an update. When I go full-screen, the UI just feels like it was enlarged without any increase in resolution. It's less sharp than on my 27" iMac, which is a lower resolution.

For my work, I heavily use Bridge to organize and batch edit JPG photos. I use the Canon EOS70D but recently have been playing around with my sony mirrorless cameras. My coworker helped me set up a series of PS batch shortcuts and they've been killer with photos shot with the Canon (it's automatically re-centered). Issue I'm running into with my Sony mirrorless cameras (I've tried it with my a6000 and the ZV-E10) is when I try using the crop shortcut, the photo will crop to the top left. Is there a way to get this adjusted? Now I'm having to batch open 5-10 images and individually manually crop and save in PS and then it automatically saves in Bridge.

Today, I opened up Creative Cloud and found a raft full of updates and bug fixes to Adobe apps!  Yay, but no update to Bridge!  Either Adobe is going to support this product or they are not going to support this product!  What is it going to be? I hope the development team is reading these forum posts!  If they are paying attention, then they would realize that the current version of Bridge is not ready for Prime Time!   I rely on Bridge as a major part of my workflow! Please fix this mess of an app!   Thank you 

I am looking for a tool to organize about 10k short video clips (up to 2min long), from various travel trips, taken with a mix of dslr/mirrorless cameras.  I tried using bridge, but find it too slow (10min to load) and the keywording UI is not very smooth (too many clicks).  I m not too familiar with bridge so maybe it can be customized to for a better experience?  Is there a better tool in the adobe suite?  I tried using LR from long time ago, but ran into random errors when previewing clips before, not sure if its still an issue. 

Processing raw files (not DNG) in Camera Raw will automatically create .xmp files alongside the processed raw files, with lower-case file name extensions. When these extensions get changed to .XMP or .Xmp, all of sudden these sidecar files will appear in the Content pane of Brigde 12.0.0.234 with empty (black) thumbnails. Renaming them back to .xmp will make Bridge's behaviour switch back to normal (i. e. hiding the sidecar files in the Content pane). However, XMP sidecar files should always be hidden in Bridge's Content pane, no matter if their file name extentions are lower-case, upper-case, or mixed-case. Anyone else noticed this issue?

Previously, when I was on CS6, Bridge started up in my system tray at login, and stayed there until I needed it - and on X-ing out, it closed to my system tray. Now, Bridge is not in the system tray at all, whether it's open or minimized. It is only in the main taskbar when it's open, therefore, I can't check "Start Bridge at Login" from the system tray context menu. I have it checked in Preferences, but no matter what, it is not available in the system tray. When my system starts in the morning, it does NOT open in the background. It starts open on a monitor. This behavior started after I upgraded to the Creative Cloud from CS6 when I was still on Windows 10 late last year. I performed a clean install of Windows 11 the other day, so it's not a conflict with the older version. Is this just the way it works now, or is there a or a tweak perhaps in the registry that could fix this or is this a BUG? Thanks for any suggestions!

Hey everyone, Im looking for software that can connect to a USB camera and take videos or photos and then catagorize or add metadata to them. I wasnt sure if Bridge had this fuctionality or not. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Jared

When I open Bride and try to open a folder I get an error message saying:  The operation could notbe completed.An unknown operating system errorhas occurred.   If I click ok the error just keeps popping up and I have to force quit the application.  It is only happening in one folder on my external hard drive but it is the folder I have to access most frequently!   Please help!  

I posted this first in Photoshop as it was related to appdata, but continuing, is more relevant here:I keep getting spinning circles and things take so long.  I wanted to open 2 files in Bridge, while Photoshop was already open and it took 6 minutes, and to just to shadow/highlight and levels, the total time was 14 minutes.  In Bridge, most of the RAW files don't preview the crops and adjustments made in camera raw.  I went to preferences, as saw that the Camera Raw cache is listed as in C://users/myname/appdata.  but when I try to look in file manager directory tree, it shows no appdata folder.  I wanted to delete it and put it on the 😧  drive.  I purged what it showed in preferences and took about 10 or more minutes.  I am trying to make more room on my C: drive and wonder about folders such as AA5677B8DE244720A76DD5D0758E8372gs and BD7B9A37BB7E408FB57BF97CA8DB371Cgs .  Are these important.  When I try to s

I'm still getting freezes in Bridge during Batch Renames.  I'd like to include a link to a dump file, but it is over 11Gb in size and therefore too large for my free Dropbox Account to handle.  Happy to load it to your Dropbox Account though....    My machine is a PC running Windows 11, but I had this problem before upgrading from Windows 10.  I've often found that crashing Bridge using the Windows Task Manager, and then re-opening Bridge shows that the Batch Rename HAS actually completed even though the dialog box was still up and stalled part way through.

Hi folks,It appears that I have regroup images that were previously grouped when I update Bridge. True? Have I missed something that would allow the groups to be carried forward? If not, can't Adobe build this into updates?Thanks!

I am shooting product photos and they are being uploaded in real time to my dropbox folder. I'd like to have Bridge automatically select the newest photo as they are uploaded so I can preivew them on my monitor without having to walk to my computer each shot. Is there an easy way to do this besides putting a weight on my right arrow key?

Hi, I have my asset folders organised according to date, so:2021_12_01-seascape2021_12_02-mountainhike... and so on. These all sit in a root folder and cover a number of years. I want to create a Smart Collection of all .dng and .orf files from the year 2021. Short of adding these indidually, is there a way of creating this Smart Collection and filtering the root folder by both date range and two different file types? Is there a way of finding files by a date range? I have tried to find files using Date Created but cannot work out the boolean for a date range. Selecting 'is greater than or equal to' on the date 01/01/2021 doesn't work. I tried 'is greater than 01/01/2021' and it's still pulling in results from 2020, 2019 ete. The screenshot below shows the criteria 'is .dng and is from 1st Jan 2021 onwards', but underneath is indexing a folder from 2018:  Furthermore, even if I work out a date range I cannot use a combination of 'if any criteria is met' and 'if

I hate waiting for thumbnails to generate when I go into bridge. I move from folder to folder often and revisit the same folders after more than a few months, when bridge purges, I have to wait for the thumbnails to generate again. If I get an SSD that is large enough to hold 100% sized JPEGs of all my photos, can I set bridge to save all the preview jpegs indefinitely, or will it cause a problem? If I can do that, how would IO set it up? Thanks in advance!

Bridge 2022 for MacOS 12.0.1 keeps crashing on me and sending error reports to Adobe. It's very frustrating. I've put a lot of time into going through and rating photos and videos I want to use for a project and now it seems I may need to find another way of organizing things entirely. Any suggestions? Does anyone know is Adobe working on this problem? 

Hi All,   Lateest versions of Photoshop and Bridge. MBook Pro Big Sur.   I am unable to remove Dr Brown's Services from Bridge. I have removed its files from Photoshop Scripts and Bridge presets in the Finder menus. But when I open Bridge and go Tools, in the drop down meny Dr Brown's Services is still there.    I have uninstalled&reinstalled Bridge but thats not helping the issue. Does someoine knows what is going on here and how to have it removed from the Tools meny in the Bridge?    

Hello, I wanted to open Bridge today but was wondering why it was black (see attached screenshot)After making an update I still have the same problem. I cannot see anything. I have macOS BigSur and there are still about 49GB space left (from 121GB) Do you have any suggestions for me, what's wrong and how I can fix the problem? Thanks

I downloaded v12 of Bridge and now I am finding that all of the thumbnails are not showing as well as the metadata.  Has anyone else had this problem?  The previous of Bridge worked fine so can someone tell me how to delete v12 and re-install the prior version?

When the XMP file for one picture is copied from a MAC to a Windows PC (and reassociated with its corresponding CR2 file) and opened in Bridge the Sky mask layer is present but it has no affect on the image: a small yellow warning triangle says 'Sky 1 could not be loaded'. Other brush masks have loaded on the same image without problem. Can anyone suggest a reason for this please.

What happened with the latest update to Bridge? It has always been slow and less than perfect coming to file handling speed. But now it thinks for 15-20 seconds when selecting a photo, then again when pressing space bar to preview. Same thing if double clicking on name to rename files, then again if copy pasting a new name etc. Really ridiculous. Never had these problems before, and been using more or less every version since the initial release. Hard to see it as a hardware problem. Running Win10, 128Gb RAM, dual 10 core Xeon processors and Nvidia Quadro RTX4000, separate SDD drives for OS, programs and scratch.Working files on externals or server.Any idea what's up? All was fine before update to version 12. 

Can somebody please help me to fix this problem? I am on Mac Os Big Sur and my desktop computer shows the MP4 video files but without the picture. I am a video editor so I must be able to see them. I have a laptop and there the images are showing. The problem happened after the new Bridge update. I removed and reinstalled Bridge but nothing has changed. Thank you for your help!
