Bridge

Hello  I am attempting to migrate my Bridge workspaces to a new computer. When I locate the workspaces in the path (my name)>Library>Applocation Support>Adobe>Bridge 2020>Workspaces...The workspaces I have created are all there but their file sizes are all in the range of 1-2 KB. Too tiny I suppose. I have dragged and dropped my workspaces from one version of Bridge to the next over the years with no issues but this one is a mystery.I have tried creating a 'new' version of an existing workspace but it is also 2 KB in size. Is 1-2 KB correct? The new computer is not in my office as yet. Custom built Windows 11 machine in Calgary. I'm in Ontario. So this is a Mac>>PC migration but these workspace files are displaying the 2 KB size on my Mac here. Hoping someone can assist in instructing me to export workspaces that have sufficient data in them to make them work. Hi Everyone, First time i am posting in these forums, so apologies if  I am posting at the wrong place.I am running Adobe Bridge CC ver 12.0 I am trying to use the Batch rename tool in Bridge to rename my files in the following format :TEXT_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS_Milliseconds.      I have done this previously and it was working fine.  However, recently , Bridge only returns 000 for the millisecond portion of the name.    I did check the metadata of my files in Lightroom and there is a value for the millisecond.  I also used a free exif viewer tool  and the millisecond were in front of a field called " SubSec" I tried  reseting all parameters and even went back to version 11.11 (only one available to me) to see if it makes a difference but no luck. I looked everywhere on the web, but didn t find any info on how to fix the issue :(. Would you be able to assist me on how to fix this issue ?  if no fix is availab

This seemed be resolved in the last release (finally).  Now it's back in Bridge 13.0.0.562.  Bridge is seemingly idle (no notification of generating thumbnails, previews, etc.), but still consumes over 99% CPU.  This goes on for hours. Windows 10 Pro 64, latest updateI9-11900K64 GB DDR4 memoryNVIDIA 3080TI, latest driver

I use rating (1-5 stars) to rate my photos in BR, and it can be read when I import all photos (including not rated photos) LR Classic.However, if I use Color (6-9) to separate different set of photos, it can not be read when I import those photos in LR Classic.I am using Mac 16 pro, I would like to ask why I can't read those Color in LR Classic? Anyone with same problem, how to solve it?

I had a previous employee who spent an insane amount of time in Adobe Bridge loading in keywords for an image database we have. Is there a way to retrieve these keywords? I don't want to start from scratch.

In the past I have really enjoyed using Bridge for my collection of photos. I would like to start using it again on my MacBook Air M1. However, I would rather not clog this machine with useless background processes reducing battery life. If I install Bridge, that should be free, will the installer also add the background procecsses listed here:https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/adobe-background-processes.html?

Bridge crashes immediately upon startup for some reason, this is the error message I get before it crashes 

Before the Update to Version Bridge 13.01.583 it was possible to do this:Bridge is already started, and I have the folder X open in bridgeIn another task through Windows Explorer, I make a right click to folder Y, then I choose "Browse in Bridge": the task change to bridge and bridge shows me the folder YPerfect! Now after update:Bridge is already started, and I have the folder X open in bridgeIn another task through Windows Explorer, I make a right click to folder Y, then I choose "Browse in Bridge": the task change to bridge and bridge shows me the folder XI wish that bridge shows me folder Y not X. Is this a bug or a setting that has changed with the update? (When Bridge is not started, then the “Browse in Bridge” function in the Windows Explorer context menu works well. Then it opens Bridge and show me the folder, that I selected in Windows Explorer.)I use Windows 11, last updates. 

Recently got a new M1 Max laptop, downloaded bridge and this has popped up since downloading it. Just wondered if there was anything I could do to fix this as bridge has been freezing and randomly shutting down ever since I got the new laptop. Thank you!

I understand there is a deluge of people reporting this problem, which is really part of a larger problem with the Ventura update.  Apple wants to further reduce support for NTFS-based architecture, and so virtually everyone using an external drive which comes with an NTFS-for-MAC program has had their workflow very brutally interrupted.  This will of course include virtually all photographers, whose massive archives will typically not fit on their Mac hard drive.My previous NTFS-for-mac softeware became completely nonfunctional upon upgrading the OS, and I was no longer able to write to external drives, leading to a collapse of my itunes, my ability to torrent, and a realy appalling slowness in even reading data on externals. I've since been forced to purchase a new NTFS-for-Mac program (I'm currently using Tuxera), which somewhat addresses the issue, but my computers ability to read the data on externals is radically slower.  Using Bridge to open a folder of image

Hello,When I try to drag Multiple photos from Adobe Bridge into Apple Photos, only one photo is added and I get the following messege:"Cannot Import Item This item cannot be added to your Photo library because it may be an unrecognizable file format or the file may not contain valid data."I than have to drag one by one.Any idea why?All the photos are JPG.Thank you,Shlomit

I added a snapshot in ACR to a CR2 file, and now cannot display the Raw Data in the File Info dialog. Note the file size difference for the sidecars, all other XMP files are 374KB. This is identical behavior in Bridge 12 and 13. The file has a mask and the mask data appears both as crs and crss namespace data.

Hello allBridge always shows me the images from the memory cards from my reader without any problems.If I connect my mobile phone or my Fuji x100V directly to a USB port, I only get icons but no pictures.Also, the icons cannot be opened by double-clicking them in Photoshop.Does anyone have any advice? Thankswww.foto-hamacher.de

I do near-daily photoshoots, and for each shoot I create a folder titled according to the model's name, like this:John Anderson 4.28.18John Doe 8.4.21John Doe 11.21.22Joseph Jackson 1.31.15In bridge these are ordered alphabetically by name.  Very, very often however - many times daily in fact -  I need to know which are the most recent shoots in order to complete outstanding jobs.  There are thousands of shoots and it's not a simple thing to browse for recent dates.  I have never found a way to neatly resort this list of folders within Bridge by SHOOT DATE.  Anyone have a workaround?  I've been asking for this for many years and everyone always just tells me to switch to Lightroom. I DO NOT want to lock my images into place with Lightroom and I don't want a lot of responses telling me how much better other programs are. I am specifically looking for suggestions on how to use Bridge to do this.  Perhaps there is some way to add tags or keywords to the

I have seen this question but no suitable answers.  I am using a Mac OS Ventura 13.0.1, Bridge 2023 version 13.01.583, Photoshop 2023 version 24.0.1.  I have always used Bridge to select the files I want to edit.  When I double click on a photo Bridge opens it in camera raw.  When I have finished editing in camera raw and click open it takes the photo back to Bridge.  Then I have to right click on the photo, select open in Photoshop 2023 which takes me back to camera raw and then when I click open I am finally in Photoshop.  Never used to work this way.

In Windows Explorer, clicking on the down arrow while holding down the CTRL key will collapse that folder and all of its subfolders. This feature has also been implemented in Dreamweaver. It would be helpful to have this feature in Bridge also. Currently, the only way to collapse all folders is to quit and restart Bridge. On my site there are well over 1,000 folders and subfolders on three drives drives, including many A, B, C, ... X, Y, Z folders nested five levels deep. After several additions or edits, the folder list in the Folders pane gets very long, requiring several folders to be manually closed just to make navigating easier.

Hello, I'm used to using Bridge with local files on my HD, but I'm on a new team and we are trying to use Bridge in conjunction with Adobe Libraries. Currently, I'm not able to add Keywords to media items that are in a Library. When I select the image, and try to check the box on the Keyword, it doesn't fill in and it doesn't add the keyword to the image. It works perfectly when I select an item on my computer's hard drive. Does anyone know why I'm unable to add Keywords to items in the Library? I am running the latest version of Bridge on MacOS 12.5. I appreciate any help.

I am going to photograph a few works of art (quilts) so the artist can make a book of her works. I figure I will fill out the metadata like I usually do for photos I take, including the copyright since the photo and the copyright to the photo are mine. But I believe there are fields I should fill in that provide the artists name, title of work etc. What should I populate?

I'm using Adobe Bridge Version: 12.0.3.270 on a PC with Windows 10.  I'm using it to keep track of videos.  Yesterday I recorded two versions of a video and uploaded them both into my computer.  They are extremely similar including the size of the file at about 6.9 GB.  They are in the same folder and one of them allowed me to add a description and keywords to it but when I tried to add to the other one I get a pop-up that says "The file XT4B1722.MP4 cannot store xmp metadata.  No changes will occur."  It won't even accept any input into the description field.  The previous one that did accept xmp metadata  is XT4B1721.MP4 so the file name structure is identical.  When I uploaded the files from the SD card I simply selected the two files and drug them across and dropped them into the new folder.  I have had some other files do the same thing to me, but use this example because they are like twins and one of them allows it and the o

My working space in Photoshop CC is Prophoto RGB.My monitor can display most of Adobe RGB. When I look at the images in Bridge, the colors are wrong. When I open up Bridge color settings, all I see are some weird prepress color spaces, but no Adobe RGB, no Prophoto RGB.This color settings dialogue seems to be from 20 years ago. How can I get Bridge to display my images properly. Especially blues are terrible. I read that you have to create some color profile and import it into Bridge, but the instructions are incomplete (bypassing the step of creating that profile) Why is it, that in 2019 Bridge cannot display correct colors and syncs automatically with Photoshop?How can I achieve this?

Hi, having a strange problem that happens several times a day, that I will be retouching an image, and all of a sudden, I am not facing photoshop, even though I was working eg with clone too on something say in the middle of the image, not near the edges, and next thing am not looking at Photoshop, but whatever program I have behind is now to the front. and I have to either Command-Tab (M1 imac) to bring it back to the front, or mouse down to the menubar I have at the bottom of the screen. very disconcerting... and puzzling.. don't know why. only on the rare occasion that I have not yet saved the image I am working on, will it crash photoshop. I breaks my concentration... any clues...?? I mainly have Music playing in the background.  Regards, Sandy

Bridge (rev 13.0.1.583) and lightroom Classic (rev 12.0.1) will not read anything on one of my external drives. The other lightroom has no problem open the files in the one external drive. Where the other 2 programs see the external drive but states there are no files. This wasnt a problem a few months ago. I use a mac. Both programs see the apple time capsule but not the LaCie external drive.please help.
