Hi All, I am facing a very annoying problem, since the last update cant seem to be able to tag while in full screen review. Any workaround or patch coming? ThanksRegards.
It seemed best when it was CS6 and videos had thumbnails and playable among many other things. but it seems with this subscription service, there are people whose jobs depend on continually making changes as a reason for being employed, as well as an excuse to pay for a subscription that need no update. Each update it seems I lose something and add to my workflow time. One of the most useful things was to have a Bridge Window open and press control N and get a new window. I could have multiple Bridges open and compare file folder contents. Now that isn't working, and I want to compare files in one drive and directory with another which may have an older version with camera numbers - NOT renumbered according to my sysem. It would be easy to compare thumbnails or RAW files, which Windows File Explorer does not show. (While it does show video thumbnails - which Bridge doesn't). Such an unbelievable mess.
From Bridge, I open a raw file in ACR. I make adjustments (all normal workflow). When I press "Open Object" it does not open in Photoshop. Instead it just goes back to Bridge as if you pressed "Done". Is there a setting unchecked from the last update? Thanks in advance.
Bridge 2023 loads and immediately becomes unresponsive. I have tried restarting and also rebooting my computer without success. I also have uninstalled Bridge and downloaded a new copy from the Adobe web site. My operating system is Windows 10, which is up-to-date. Any suggestions?
Hi,Since the last update of Bridge ( October 2022 ) I've notices somethink strange. When you select and rank your photos, sometimes Bridge almost immediately removes the rank from the photos. If anybody has an idea how to solve this problem, or what is happening , I would be grateful to share it .
I have a large set of photos taken over the course of a day, resulting in variable light conditions over the course of the shoot. When using the copy/paste settings to batch process, I am still left with a "gradient" over the course of the day, requiring me to adjust white balance individually for each to achieve a normalized and regular appearance for the whole set. Is it possible to batch process photos based on the histogram data rather than the actual slider settings? It seems to me that this would help standardize exposure/white balance/colors better than the sliders which have differeing visual results based on original light conditions, aperture, ISO, etc. Thanks,Colin
<Venting>Going back to when I upgraded from CS6 to CC, every time I update Bridge, I lose all my settings. Workspaces, Batch Renames, Thumbnail Metadata, Scripts, etc. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME!Despite enabling the option to retain existing settings, it still wipes/ignores everything. Very frustrating that every time I update, I have to set aside time to restore all my settings.</Venting>
It's Bridge 12.0.2.252 (How unthoughtful for the About Bridge pupup design - one can't copy the version from it but has to remember to the long string!) M1 macOS 12.4 (21F79) It crashes about 9 out of 10 times before it can actually download the photos from a SD card. Using the photoshop/bridge suite in Mac/M1 make me felt like running Windows programs in the 90s. How do I set the parameters so that changes in camera raw in adobe bridge are automatically saved on the disc?
Hi,The attaced screen shot shows part of my Bridge. The main image is a shot I took and saved in its own folder yesterday (which has not been edited and is still a RAW file) and the visible thumbnail is an edited jpg I took on the 28th October.Can anyone explain why these files have got mixed up?And more importantly can anyone help me to recover my jpgs?Thanks for your considerationPhil
I quite often use "Reveal in Finder" on folders to find their location. I use right-click with my mouse on a mac. Bridge 2022 and prior, this would reveal the folder. Bridge 2023 opens the folder in the finder to the contents of the folder. I want the folder, not the contents.. Due to this change, in finder I have to right-click the folder title and move back to the drive holding the folder. This means that I now have to find the folder on my own.I use right-click Reveal in Finder in the Favorites window, the Folders window and the Content folder. All of these now reveal the contents and not the folder. View > Show items from Subfolder is not the answer.This change has significantly slowed down my workflow.
Hey, is there someone that figured out a way to make a panorama workflow in Bridge? It would be so great if we could select the images and directly start the stitching process. Any advice appreciated thanxs Peter (and I would like to go from bridge>stitch>gradeCamera RAW>PS in one go) Camera Raw could have an action like : select sky > S Curve > reverse S curve > hole picture contrast and open in PS)
HELP!! Everytime I use Bridge 2023 and make my image adjustments and try and open the images into photoshop it just closes the images instead of opening in photoshop. It works if I do ONE image at a time but its busy season and thats simply not possible. Seems like the only fix is to uninstall PS 2023 but has anyone found a work around? I am really hoping a big update is already in the works!!! I am using a mac and all of creative cloud is updated to latest versions.
The latest version (13.0) of Adobe Bridge is still too buggy: Once opened it works briefly, but after browsing some images it uses all my PC's resources; its processor and RAM are abnormally over-used. My laptop gets very noisy. And when I then close Bridge, it remains running in the background. If I then try to launch it again, it actually won't open at all, even though it still shows up in the Task Manager, where I have to force close it. Other than that, I don't like the new interface, the previous version (12) is way more crisp clear. When double-clicking a folder on the left Folders panel it opens up the folder there in v12, where as in v13 you have to twice single-click to open, just a bit silly deviation from how to navigate folders. For now I'm just fine with v12.
I originally bugged this back in pre-release, several versions ago. Sound familiar? You did a total rewrite and didn't fix this.
I have a script which sets the folder to be displayed at startup, by changing the Bridge folder when closing the app. Bridge sets the target preference and that is opened at next launch. Works in previous versions, of course its one more thing broken in 2023. I can watch the target being correctly set (on Windows, in the registry) but that is ignored upon relaunch. #target bridge if(BridgeTalk.appName == 'bridge'){ var LaunchFolder = new Object; //pref panel identifier #include "prefsReader.jsxinc" //shared prefs read code try{ function appQuit(event){ if(event.location == 'app' && event.type == 'close' && app.preferences.UtilPack_launchfolder_auto == true && vers[0] < 13){ if(Folder(app.preferences.UtilPack_launchfolder_folder).exists){ var thumb = new Thumbnail(Folder(app.preferences.UtilPack_launchfolder_folder)); app.documents[0].thumbnail = thumb;
Because undocked panels are not standard windows, they cannot be properly resized if moved to a second display, nor can they be snapped to the display edges or made full-screen like, you know, every other app running on Windows 10. Please go back to using standard window controls including scroll bars and window widgets, and allow standard behaviors.
Hello,Is it possible to duplicate the Preview Window that i have one Preview Window on 1st Monitor and also a 2nd Preview Window on my 2nd Monitor.
I have a script demo to add the dc:title field to the thumbnail tooltip. It works in Bridge 2022, broken in 2023. #target bridge if(BridgeTalk.appName == 'bridge'){ var showTitleCmd = MenuElement.create('command', 'Show Title on Hover', 'at the end of Tools'); showTitleCmd.onSelect = function(){ showTitle = function(event){ try{ if((event.type == 'hover') && (event.object instanceof Thumbnail)){ var Thumb = new Thumbnail(event.object.spec); md = Thumb.synchronousMetadata; md.namespace = 'http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/'; var ti = md.title[0] ? md.title[0] : ''; if(ti != '') Thumb.core.itemContent.tooltip ='Title: ' + ti; return{handled:false}; } } catch(e){ } } app.eventHandlers.push({handler: showTitle});
Recently there was an update to my Bridge software. Currently at version 13.0.0.562. Since the update import on the IPTC Cultural Heritage Metadata and the Metadata Deluxe add-ons have not worked. Any suggestions on a fix? Is this just me or are others having this problem? Thanks
Greetings, I'm using Bridge CC 2022 on an M1 Macbook Pro running OS Monterey 12.4. Bridge doesn't appear to generate Thumbnails for large (~2GB) psd/ psb files. I have Bridge settings at Recommended. The directory has 26 such large files and I left Bridge running for several hours (in a separate screen). I also find that Bridge doesn't show me File Info Metadata for these files. Is Bridge just slow or is there another issue? Thanks in advance for your reply.Regards,Rajnesh
When I zoom in on a photo (using spacebar), then go do soemthing else like go on the Chrome browser, when I go back and hover over the zoomed photo on Bridge, pressing spacebar doesn't zoom back out. I used to be able to do that.
I am running the latest 2023 version of bridge under Win 10 (64 bit). (1) In the past I was able to view my ratings of each photo in the thumbnail display on the left side. Now, with the latest version, I cannot figure out how to show this. The display of ratings in thumbnails is essential to the way I post-process raw files. What can I do to rectify this problem.(2) Also, when I select an image to be shown in the Preview mode, I cannot see the camera settings (e.g., shutter speed, iso, and lens aperture) under the file name in Preview. How can I rectify this problem? Mike
