Bridge

Hi guys, I just recently updated my bridge for 2023 and noticed it is performing a little differently. When I moved files into a server it will just "copy" files. So I will end up with two sets of files, one in my internal and another in the server. With this 2023 update, all of my files move to whatever destination I give them and get deleted from their original location. I don't right-click, I normally drag the files over and it provided a copy. So it's a habit I created and it always worked out. Now, I have been having to do an extra step to maintain two copies.  Now, this is a perk, but I have been trying to restore it since I am working with servers. I have a forever fear of it losing connections in the middle of a big file move and potentially getting corrupted. 

Upgraded to latest Bridge 13.0xxxx. Since the update, when I go to sort a collection folder by dragging photos to a new location within the folder, it does not stick. The tab changes from file name (default) to sort manually but no change in the folder location. This is only a problem with collections (regular folders allow the manual sorting). Operating in Windows 10. 

Every. Damn. Launch. Can we please nuke this if Software rendering is checked?

It appears that editing the filename of an image searched for by a partial match - even if the edit does not affect the partial search criterion - causes the image to disappear from the window.This is disconcerting at first, but the image is not lost and pressing [Enter] on the search criterion causes it to reappear.

Hey,  I am Struggeling with the connection of adobe Bridge with adobe stock ....My account is registrated to upload images which I do from time to time.Now i wanted to connect adobe bridge with stock but it say in german : Der Adobe Stock Contributer- Dienst ist nicht für Unternehmens-IDs verfügbar. Which means that the Contributer Service is not availeble for company Ids.What does this mean. that i cannot use this why? Why is this so complicated while its all adobe products? Do you not use the service yourself?  Why is this not a click?  And where is the AI that gives me keywords for my images?

New Bridge 13 Side Panels don't hide in response to the Tab keyboard shortcut. I'm about to revert to a previous version. There are some new options and features in side panels but I haven't figured out how to get full screen for previewing the whole folder

Hello there,i know there is the feature in Bridge to see the links in a single selected "indd".So Bridge can get those informations and also copy those to the clipboard.But is there a way to that with multiple selected files at once?I have many different files to check, so it would be nice. P.S.: Also, would be a nice feature to have integrated in bridge. Thanks for read this, have a good day 🙂

These are changes that would put the polish on what I think will ultimately be a very good version of Bridge. 1. With a complex Workflow, it is useful to reset it quite often, once it has strayed from it's default state. It would be great to have a shortcut key to do the reset. 2. The Tabs are not as visible (GUI style) as they could be and do not need the word 'Content' taking up space and obscuring the folder names. 3. The navigating areas of the top of the window (tabs, columns, works spaces, etc.) don't natively look like something to click on. The Application Bar, Folder Navigation Bar, Workspaces Bar, and Tabs, Look like the Columns and File Content.What happened to designers using column header clors, and 3D effects etc.? Does everything have to be FLAT? 4. If all the photo files have identical filter properties (nothing to differentiate) the Filter panel is empty, as it has been for a few versions now. I prefer the older versions that would at least show you

Since down loading Bridge 2023 today, it does not open with one click from the dock on my Mac, previous versions always did. Ps always does even now with 2023.Its anoying, so can a quick tweak sort it please.

The new content tabs may seem a good idea, but not at the expense of opening a new window (or instance of Bridge). In my workflow, it is critical that I can run between 3 and 6 instances of Bridge across two monitors. This is to quickly and efficiently compare different folder (Illustrator, PNG & PSD) sets across different cloud services (OneDrive & Dropbox) for version control in a massive multi-volume publishing environment. I've tried undocking tabs and carefully arranging them across two monitors and then saving the workspace, but it's horrible with just three - to get six arranged and usable, I probably need another two monitors. Before Bridge 13, it just worked perfectly; now it's a horrible mess 😞

Issue in Bridge CC when doing a batch rename renames the files but they have no file extension after.Ex. 12345.jpg  becomes 12345  (unknown file type)Another rename step must be done to add the appropriate extension afterwards. Otherwise they don't know which program to open with.Has anyone encountered this? Solution?I don't want to enter a "new extension" field each time because I rename different file types each time, and it should just work like it used to changing the prefix.

Hello people,when double-click on a photo on Bridge, it automatically opens lightroom,before the image was already selected on Lightoom, so I clicked on import button and that'it.Now it just launch the import window on Lightroom but the image is not selected anymore, so i have to find it out.Do you have the same problem?I have updated both software alreadyThank you for your help 

The solution posted of Launch Photoshop, Quit Bridge, then Relaunch Bridge does not work.  I am trying to copy developement settings in Bridge.  

Should be renamed Bugg hell 2013.So angry with all buggs and fails to this upgrade. 

When Bridge 2023 is exited, with (x) or via the menu, it can't be run again.It is still running in the background and cannot be restarted until that process is terminated via Task Manager.Also it seems that the workflow (screen layout) last used is not reopened as it normally would be - the settings are not saved.This behavior occured after I removed Bridge and Photoshop from my pc to make a fresh installation - (due to an error in Photoshop). I have not experienced this behavior with Bridge before.Running under Win 11 on a Lenovo Laptop-6TFDNSO9, installed 8 GB RAM, total virtual memory 22.8 GB.

Hi all, I just updated to the latest version of Bridge (13.0.0.562) it is very slow and laggy. Is there a known issue and if so is there a solution?My system spec and a screen shot of Task Manager whilest Bridge is running and displaying 11000 thumbnails is attached, this was never a problem with the previous version. The CPU usage spans fro 25% to 75% without any input from me.Also, why do I see multiples of apps such as helper running simultaneously?Thanks, Dave.An update, I just reinstalled V 12.0.3.270 and it's off like a racehorse, clearly the issue is with the new version.Regards.

Hello everybody,with Win 11 I would like to add to the context menu the item "Open with Adobe Bridge" for all supported files, without having to go to the "open with" menu, but from the first window that appears, is it possible?Also I would like to add the item "send to mail recipient" always from the first menu, with win 11 I have to click on "show other options", then on "send to" and then select "mail recipient", it is quite inconvenient. Both are 2 options that I use very often.Can anyone help me?

Bridge will recognize my 5 tb drive hooked to my pc with a cable but will not read any files or folders. I can import them into Photoshop with other programs, so the drive and cable seem good. Help!

When scrolling through large sections of folders, it feels and looks like you are scrolling the opposite direction.  When scrolling down, it moves the lower folder one space higher than the previous which creates a weird animation effect that makes it look like it's scrolling the wrong way!  In previous versions, this was alleviated by switching from Grid to Thumbnail view.  But for some reason this new release makes it happen on both.  Am I the only one seeing this? It's driving me crazy. 

I noticed a few weeks ago my Drop down arrows disappeared inside bridge. I did some digging on this site, you tube and so on and have no found the answer. I did a factory reset on my bridge.  This didn't solve the problem. I find it hard to work within my folders without the drop down arrow. What is the answer to reseting this. I see some have them some don't. Usually a folder inside a folder would create an arrow. I could click on the arrow and see what was in the folder. Another arrow would tell me there was a folder and there is items inside the folder. No arrows usually tells me there is no items in the folder. I have no idea what happen.    

Yesterday I reported the flawed preview system in Bridge - today I find another preculiarity.  When backing up a folder to my portable hard drive by dropping and dragging, Bridge deletes the folder from my PC.  Ok it's on the hard drive but to keep it in both places I have to use the "copy to" command.  But this isn't consistent - sometimes Bridge deletes the source folder and sometimes it doesn't.  I really think Bridge 2023 needs to revert to 2022 while all these silly little issues are sorted.

I'm new to Bridge and I have no clue about it, since this is the first time I use it.Therefore I'd appreciate a detailed instruction - thank you! 😄  I have a big folder with many sub-folders which contain photos. The folders containing the photos are named after the date when the photos were taken, in this format: YYMMDD (e.g. 221026) Now I want to replace the (wrong) date metadata of the photos with the date from the folder name, using some automation/script.  How would I do that?Thanks a lot in advance!
