Bridge

Cannot preview video files since updating Bridge recently; running Mac OS10.15.7, with all updated Adobe CC apps on company computer. Huge inconvenience. Not sure if it is related to this error message or not. Applies to .mp4, .mxf, .mov, which were all viewable previously.

Greetings.  On opening Bridge, I get a notice that says:  "The operation could not be completed. The parameter is incorrect." followed by an OK button.The program tried to open then disappears with just this notice.  I've restarted the computer several times, ran Norton's newest version and even uninstalled / reinstalled Bridge when all else failed.  Restarted and same thing.  HELP!

___HELP!!!_I thought I was deleting files from my Desktop....turns out it was the server.... Is there anything I can do??? Please help if you can! Thanks (worst case scenario - could I get a list of what was deleted?)

bridge insall finish but camera Raw no open problem what about ? 

do any body know why my harddrive wont show up? 

I want to use a set of labels for my work and a different set of labels for my personal files. Anybody have a idea how to solve that kind of a problem? I know that Lightroom can handle more than one set of labels. Mainly I'm dealing with photos. Best,Martin

Hi community   Mac Pro end 2013, OS Catalina, Adobe Bridge 11.1 Bridge worked well until a few days ago. App shows up, but pop up window says: "The process could not be finalized. Unknown system errror" (translated from German)." Bridge has to be force closed. Restarting Bridge or Mac does not help any.   Other Adobe cc apps work well.   Thank you in advance for help.     {Thread title edited by moderator}

Hi I often have 1000s of photos in a folder, some with white borders and some without. I'd like to be able to run a script that would check and move the bordered photos to another directory. I've searched the community (and the interweb) but the results get clouded with methods for creating white borders so I've not had any luck finding a discussion that might help me. Has anyone seen a post or script that could help me. Thanks in advance for any help/advice that can be given, Leo

every time i try to move the files i pick for the contact sheet it opens photoshop but the thing where you reveiw the files says there are no files 

I just installed Bridge 2020 on Nov 17 and it crashes every few minutes just while browsing images.  I do change some directory names, though I'm not sure that is causing it because it's usually while Bridge is static and not being used when it crashes.  I have 10,000 images to edit from a shoot and had to uninstall 2020 and reinstall an older version.   I am seeing a LOT of reports of crashing so I hope Adobe gets this fixed.   Joe

I've seen quite a few questions on this, but none of them have remedied my situation, and there are many of the similar question sitting out there without answers.. I've reset my preferences. Cleared all caches. Uninstalled & re-installed bridge (both 2020/21 and 2019). Like many others, I want to customize my Bridge workspace - here are the steps I take. Open Bridge Click "Metadata" workspace Turn off each of these columns by right-clicking on column name and clicking "Close Column" Arange the widths of remaining columns Click "Window" --> "Workspace" --> "New Workspace" --> and give it a name. It shows up on the top with the rest of the workspaces like it should... BUT, all the columns I closed show back up on the right side....   The reason I want them gone is I do a lot of my culling on my MacBookPro and use the touch-pad for scrolling - when ALL of the collumns are there, the screen also scrolls left and right as it wants to since its near impossible to scroll

I updated Bridge 11.1 yesterday, and I lost the camera raw option to open files. I had to go back to the old version. How do I fix this?

hi from the new version it's difficult to drag and drop from bridge to place into an image block in indesign... I need to retry 2 or 3 times to place it  the problem came from indesign or bridge but before it was fluent  thanks user group !!

Hi, Does anybody know how to run Photoshop actions from Bridge 11.1.0.175. It seems to have disappeared on this version unless I am missing something?Tools > Photoshop > Batch?

I cannot get Bridge to display all the metadata categories I have chosen in Preferences. If Bridge is to be useful, I need to see certain types of BASIC file info about the resources I'm browsing/viewing - like file dimensions and frame rate etc., but I cannot get Bridge to display this most basic and essential of info.  Why is it so hard to configure the app to display the desired info about a file?  Am I missing some basice step? Please help!

Short snippet that will remove duplicate terms in a list. I futzed around with this for a while trying to figure out the proper regex and methods to accomplish this. I start with a list of terms, copy the first to a new array, globally delete, copy the next, and keep going until I'm through all of them. I tried selecting them all and checking the keyword in the keyword paneldu. The clock spins and it seems as if the keyword is checked but then when I check an individual file, the keyword is not checked. Even if I try to assign a keyword to each file one at a time (VERY TEDIOUS), the clock spins and it seems to assign the keyword but then when I go back and check it is no longer assigned. What is going on???Thank you

Or in other words, what causes it to 'lose' the existing cache? Usually it keeps the existing cache from session to session but then sometimes it seems to have 'forgotten' this folder for seemingly no good reason. What is the decision tree here?

I am creating a genealogy book in Photoshop, using Bridge. I am on MacOS Mojave 10.14.6, using Photoshop 22.4.1 and Bridge 11.0.2.123. Batch renaming files in Bridge has converted files from psd to jpg, thus flattening all layers and downsizing from 8.5" x 11" 300mp to  .5" x .4" 300mp, and deleting original psd. I don't know where to start and may not have savvy to solve.

Hi, I am quite new in Bridge. I am using Bridge 2021 in MacOS. I batch renamed several photos keeping them in their folders. I also preserved the original filename. Now I am traying to find them using advanced search. Neither using filename nor preserved filename, I could find those images. But the images are still in the folders when I manually browse them. How can I solve this problem.Thanks

Bloated files that contain “excess” Photoshop DocumentAncestors metadata have been causing a few users some grief (65mb down to 110kb)!   Photoshop saving issue (FILES TOO LARGE)   There is a script for Photoshop to remove this metadata, however as this requires an open/save it is not great for files that contain lossy compression. Bridge is the obvious place to remove this metadata. I have hacked a different script to remove this DocumentAncestor metadata.   I don’t understand why Bridge requires a 2 step process! All this time I thought that the code was bad, when it was “working fine”.   Step 1: Run the Bridge script to remove DocumentAncestors metadata (the file size does not change, when it “should”)   Step 2: Apply a secondary metadata change in Bridge, such as adding/removing a temporary keyword, or rotating clockwise and then rotating back counterclockwise again to “force the image to reset”   The second step for whatever reason will force the file
