Hi all Since I down laoded the latest update of Bridge it crashes a lot when opening. It jsut freezes and you have to Force Quit to exit..... I am running Mac Os Big Sur beta 11.3 is anyone else having this issue ? Ian
The version of Bridge that I'm using has a bug that reverses the order of the images when I import them. I'm trying to write a extendscript to reverse the order of the images by renaming them. For example if I import five images, image one needs to be renamed image five and image two needs to be renamed image four etc. The problen seems to be my standard filenaming format: ©_Stan_Tess_20220516_0005.ARW. If I remove the © symbol I can rename the file but not with the symbol. If I use Batch Rename... within Bridge I can add the © symbol but I would like to do it in the script. Thanks! #target bridgeif(BridgeTalk.appName == 'bridge'){try{//create menuvar cpPath = MenuElement.create('command', 'Image Order Fix', 'at the end of Tools');var ftcpPath = MenuElement.create('command', 'Image Order Fix', 'after Thumbnail/Open', this.menuID); //add to Contextual menucpPath.onSelect = function(){ImageOrderFix();}ftcpPath.onSelect = function()
Using Mac OS Monterey 12.3.1, Bridge 12.0.2.52. I move new pictures into a folder named "pics" with various subfolders named according to subject matter for further sorting/storage later. The sort is set to Date Modified but that's not how the files and folders are behaving. When I last used Bridge on Thursday, I'd move some files into the corresponding subfolder and Bridge would move the subfolders up and into the order that I'd added files. Now, the folders aren't moving in the sort; I've confirmed the files do exist in the correct subfolders but the folders remain in the spots they were located on Thursday. All of the new files I've added to the "pics" folder appear at the top of the Essentials thumbnail view. I've checked my preferences and cleared the cache but the subfolders won't budge.
When I click 'enter' or double click a file, Bridge has no response and no longer opens file in Photoshop. Even right click > open with > Photoshop has no response. The only way I've found to open a file from Bridge in PS is to click and drag onto PS icon, and when I do that, it now places them as a smart object, which it never used to do. Fixes I've attempted: I uninstalled / reinstalled Bridge and Photoshop, double-checked the 'file type associate', reset the preferences, and did the Cmd+Opt+Shift reset. Nothing is working. I'm using all the latest updates and version of CC 22. Thanks in advance.
Please, Adobe - solve this...it is really a pain!
Obviously, I'm not the only one. Widespread issues on both Mac and Windows. Looks like this has been going on for well over a month now.
When I simply place the cursor anywhere on a thumbnail in Bridge, either on the image or on the frame around the image, Bridge launches Photoshop automatically, moves the image into Camera Raw and then opens the image in Photoshop. All of that has to be closed so I can return to Bridge where the same unwanted behavior of Bridge starts all over. If anyone knows a solution, please share. I am considering using Revo Unistaller to remove everything Adobe, including Creative Cloud, Flash, Air, Acrobat, etc and the totally clean reinstall. Question - is there a way to backup/save on external drive my Photoshop Brush presets? I looked in Presets\Brushes folder but it's empty. System - Windows 10. PS v21.0.2, Camera Raw v12.1, Bridge v10.0.1.126 Thank you to anyone who might be able to be of he
Hi there! I'm really hoping someone has had the same problem as me, and can provide a solution. Recently purchased a new Canon 5D Mark IV DSLR. Shot full RAW on a single card. When I uploaded my images to Bridge, as I always do, all the shots were triplicated! The root folder I created to upload my files to contains all the images, as expected. However, there are four other folders that are created:1) MISC - contains no files2) 100EOS5D - contains a copy of all the images3) EOSMISC - contains my camera sidecar file (.ctg)4) DCIM - contains another folder called 100EOS5D that contains a second copy of all the images, and another folder called EOSMISC, which contains a second copy of my camera sidecar file Honestly, I don't know if this is a Bridge problem or something to do with my camera settings, so I'm attacking it from both sides. I've checked the settings on my DSLR a few times now and nothing seems amiss, so I'm leaning towards Bridge. Could Bridge be creating these extra fil
Hi! I just downloaded the latest version of bridge, and exports don't work anymore. I'm on windows 10, when I click on custom export, select my settings and click on "start export", nothing happens. If I right click on the picture and go to export progress, I can see my exports stacking up there, showing "x pending jobs" and below the list of pictures, showing "0 of 1 files". I tried on jpegs and raws. Anybody knows where this could come from please? Thanks!
Hi, when I add a new line to 'Criteria', the drop down boxes (defaults set at 'filename' and 'contains') don't respond - I can't select anything other than those criteria, so if I want to search on file type etc, I can't. Anybody else encountered this?
The running speed of Adobe Bridge is too slow. It is frustrating to have to wait for a long time every time you run the bridge and open a folder with images. There is a big problem that the work efficiency is not good. Of course, there is a reason why the file size is large, but now is the time to improve the speed of the bridge to work with a large design file.
Hi there! Here my first post. I have a problem here who looks really weird. I need to rename some files on Bridge and for some unknown reason, the menu inside of the Batch rename doesn't open . It's highlighted in blue when you "mouse over" but the pop up doesn't open. I already tried both 11 and 12 versions and deleted the preferences already but nothing works. everything else works , it's just this tiny bug who make me loose a lot of time manually rename files. I have a AMD and RTX so maybe some incompatibility are running over the new updates . If someone had the same problem and did something different let me know Again I tried an old version and cleaned the preferences. Thank you!
In Photoshop Elements you can add Keywords to photos from many different folders on your PC. When you search for specific keywords it displays the results irrespective of which folder they are in.We need a photo organiser for our business and Bridge seemed to be the answer BUT. From what I can see to find images with the required Keyword you have to search folder by folder for images that have that particular keyword. If you try searching from the top folder down with a particular keyword, the result is nil.Surely I am doing something wrong. Surely I am not the only one that wants to search for images with a specific Keyword spread across multiple folders. Can someone point me in the right direct, please
I want to make proof sheets using Bridge and the Output workspace. However, only the filename can be displayed. Is there a way to display other metadata fields, such as description, copyright or keywords? Thanks.
I have installed Adobe Bridge CC (2017). The font size is too small everywhere, and difficult to read. How can I increase the font size?
Here's a screenshot to show you the size of bridge's menu vs. the size of chrome's tabs, which are representative of everything else on my computer. I keep finding questions and articles, but all of them are community solutions that ask me to meander into regedit or change my screen DPI. With respect to those folks, I'm not super into digging around in stuff I don't understand or changing my entire computer's ecosystem for nonsense that's exclusive to Adobe Bridge. Same-said articles and questions go all the way back to CS6, so I'm hoping there more modern solutions that, ideally, are solvable in the Bridge app. Just for the sake of record: This issue is not persistent in other programs, it's exclusive to Bridge. Adjusting interface size doesn't change anything, unfortunately. Working on a laptop, Thinkpad X1 Yoga, Windows 10, screen size set to 3840 x 2400. Working with Adobe CC, so everything's as updated as it can be.
uso un processore Intel i7 di 4 generazione. mi interessa usare solo Bridge e Camera Raw. potete dirmi che versioni devo usare e dove posso scaricarle? grazie {Title edited by Moderator}
I just experienced a situation where Bridge messed up some, but not all, file extensions during a batch rename. It's similar to some other threads I found, but different enough that I thought I'd start a new one. I have a folder with about 175 items. There are CR2 and JPEG files from two cameras, and HEIC files from an iPhone. When I did the batch rename, several, but nowhere near all, of the CR2 files, and a couple of JPEGs, got assigned the HEIC file extension. And some of the HEIC files were given the CR2 extension. There seems to be no rhyme or reason. As you can see from one of the screenshots, consecutive RAW files were given different extensions. My rename setup did not involve altering the extension at all. On top of all of that, about 8 files did not get renamed at all. Now, I can't undo the batch rename, and will have to take a great deal of time going through and fixing them. Anyone else have this problem, or know a remedy?
The Batch Rename drop-down menus in Bridge do not provide any options other than the ones displayed, and any changes to parameters that can be altered are then irreversible. This looks like a bug that needs to be fixed.I tried the Ctrl-Alt-Shift Reset option as well as re-installing Bridge, but this has not fixed the problem.I'm running on a robust Intel/NVIDIA desktop PC with Windows 10 Pro as the OS.Any advice regarding this problem is welcome.
Has anyone found a solution to the no-dropdown-menu problem that is not a re-install, turn off taskbar auto-hide or delete preferences? I did all of those things and the problem persists. Win10 latest updates. All Adobe apps with latest updates. This is really infuriating. I just got back from a week-long gig with a ton of images to organize/edit and I'm stuck trying to get basic UI elements to work. rgames
HiMy workflow depends on being able to use "batch rename" in bridge. I note it was updated this morning to 12.0.1 My presets for filenames in batch rename can't be editted because the drop down menus no longer work. Is anyone else experiencing this problem ? It was fine until the update this morning. Steve
I am unable to see the full list of file type using the carrot dropdown menu.I can arrow down to get to "Photoshop", and that's alot of tapping. This occurred after updating from 12.0 to 12.0.1
Re Bridge Export not showing dropdown menus'I posted a question on this topic about 10 days ago and was interested to see if there was now a permanent solution to the problem, but reference to this subject cannot be found. What is going on Adobe
The latest (January 2022) update Bridge which I downloaded and installed yesterday seems to have a new bug. When I select the search dialog box using Ctrl-F, I can no longer get the drop-down menu items to show. Clicking on the arrow beside the field does not show anything other than the value I used before installing the new update. I'm trying to search for PSD files and the option is not available.
