I have created a Library in Bridge CC 2019 with Jpegs containing metadata - Keywords; Description; IPTC Subject Code; etc. Bridge search can find files looking into the file info. My issue is when they are synced up to the Cloud the search from that interface is based on filename alone nor do I see alot of options in the File Info box.    My question is: How can I preserve the rich metadata so that files can be searched by specific XMP fields once the images are up on the cloud? Or to put it more precisely... can the Creative Cloud environment be used as a DAM?   Thanks   PS I can use Dynamic Media (Scene7) to search this way, but I'm hoping to find a cleaner web interface for other parties.

I had to reinstall Photoshop CS6 from scratch and am now getting the following Bridge error message and have no idea how to fix it:   "The file "xxxxx" cannot store xmp metadata. No changes will occur." where xxxxx is the folder name where the jpg files are located. The error appears whenever I select a keyword that I want to search for.   Is there anyone out there that can tell me what I need to do to fix problem - I would very much appreciate it.   {Thread renamed by moderator}

What I would like to see with the Photo Downloader within Bridge is that you can right click on a folder and then select from the context menu "Download Photo's here...." followed by the Photo Downloader GUI with the selected folder (pre-) filled in.   Or is this possible to do already?   Will save me a number of clicks and browsing through folders within Photo Downloader.    Using Bridge 9.1.0.338   {Thread renamed by moderator}

After upgrading Mac to Catalina (Version 10.15) Bridge CC 2019 "export to PDF "in Output is not saving files with extension so it does not automatically open in Acrobat. If I physically add the extension then it behaves as expected. Is this a bug in Mac or Bridge?

I updated my version of bridge last week to 2019 9.0.2.219 when deleting files it often crashes, this can be when I delete a lot of files or just a few. This forces me to Force quit and open bridge again.  I get this when right clicking and moving to trash and also when using Command + DeleteAny help would be greatly appreciated Iain

I never had a problem like this before. Does anyone know the solution about this? I re-installed the Bridge apps and it does not recognize any files except Macintosh HD contents aince I upgreaded my Mac from Mojavi to Catalina.

Hello,I know that you can export/import the entire keyword list you have in Bridge, and it goes to a text fileBut what I would like to do is to assign certain keywords to an image file, then be able to export those assigned keywords to a text file. So, I need to export ONLY the relevant keywords that are assigned a certain image,  thus creating a unique text file that has the kewords for that image. Is there a way to do this? I assume that the assigned keywords become a part of metadata with the file somehow. Any other way to get this information in text format? Thanks!Gabi

Thanks Chuck and Gary for your advice may be even more specific is that I still have my Bridge application in my applications but I can not place the Bridge icon on my Dock. Before I clicked on my Bridge icon in my Dock and he was opening it now he disappeared ...I can not find my Bridge icon anymore? I wonder if I should throw Adobe Photoshop and redonlode the program in my applications ???

I cleaned up my Mac and lost the icon of Adobe Bridge cs6 ... and I still have Adobe Bridge CS6 in my apps, I probably throw it in the trash, how to recover my Icone. I did not lose my document they are in pictures ... but I lost my file and the Icon. How to recover it. When I try to open my RAW files from Bridge to PS CC2015 as of this afternoon they will not open..."error code:11". Any ideas?  

When will the Bridge Photo Downloader support Sony A7R IV files?   Thumbnails are not displayed, and while you can use it to copy files from your camera or memory card, it will not convert them to .dng format.   Clearly, Adobe knows how to do the .dng conversion because you can open the .arw file in ACR and save it as a .dng.  But when importing hundreds of files, this is a major time sink.   {Thread title edited by moderator}

While using Adobe Bridge 9.1, even with 8.1, i am getting CPU usages, causing my fans to blast out at max speed on my high specced 2015 MBP, about 120% usage each time I open bridge. Is this normal? Are there known fixes? I have already tried increasing my camera raw caches?  

I have a PS CC droplet that converts a TIF file to a JPEG that I keep on my Desktop. When I drop a TIF on it to convert to a JPEG, now it seems like it does make the JPEG, but it isn't visable on my desktop or in the Bridge file "Desktop". But, if I manually convert the file to a JPEG and do a Save As it wants me to overwrite an existing JPEG?? But you can't see that JPEG in the folder and it still doesn't show up if I overrite the 'invisable' JPEG file. Hope I was able to articulate my problem.  I just installed on my Retina 5K 27" Imac the new Catalina OS

I'm running Adobe Bridge version 9.1.0.338 on Windows 10 and I can't seem to do something that I figured would be extremely easy. I'd like to adjust the star rating of some JPG files in Bridge, and have those ratings reflected in the Windows File Rating metadata. However, I do not seem to be able to make a change in Bridge that is reflected in Windows. Can anyone offer a suggestion as to what I may be doing wrong? Thanks!

If I want to add keywords to a PSD file it does't work. Same with IPTC. Then I got an error message and after the acces to the file is denied. I need to modifie the acces via information!! I use a mac OS Sierra and CC2019. Any idea. 

Using advanced Find (Ctrl-F) in Bridge, is there a way to find all images with a particular meta field that's empty? For instance, a query something like "Headline / Title does not contain *" (where * might be a wildcard meaning "anything". For that matter, I don't see that wildcards exist either.  Is that true? Hope this is just my ignorance and not a lack of program capability.

I am using SOX 10.15 Catilina and Bridge 2019 CC. I have had no issues until the weekend. When I plugged in my external drive Bridge asked if I wanted to allow it to access the external drive. I accidently pressed no and now I canot access any external drives. I am a teacher and the numerous drives I have contain all my schools yearbook images... any help would be much appreciated... When i am editing in adobe bridge, the black colours in my photo turn blue.how do i turn this off?this wasnt like this before.but my kitten walked on my keyboard and probably pressed some buttons and activated this.i dont know how to turn this off.. searched everywhere.i hope someone can help me!

I've been trying to use Bridge (MacOS v.9.1.0.338) over a network with little success. I've been plagued with latency issues: spinning wait cursor for many system calls, infinite write-times to metadata edits: just general frustration. I also had these problems when testing the network version of Neofinder. I had to buy an upgrade license to test it, and it just didn't work. The Neofinder developer tried to help, but soon ceased responding to my requests. However,  his last email to me included a link to this article on the Apple Support website: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208209. In it is a Terminal command to "...prevent macOS from reading .DS_Store files on SMB shares. This makes the Finder use only basic information to immediately display each folder's contents in alphanumeric order." The artilce  quoted the code and I it copied and pasted it into the Command Line. Suddenly Bridge performed as expected with files located on my server. Honestly, I don't underst

Hello,i have downloaded some gigabyte of photos from my camera via bridge CC photo downloader till it breaks up suddenly and with no reason.After I start the import process again I saw that all files that already have been copyed are now double but with an additional Number at the end of the file name.Is there a way to avoid this? thank you

This isn't new, it's been going on for a while, but it's getting old version after version.  Still there in 9.1.0.338 I create a workspace configured the way I want it.  I give it a UNIQUE name.  I SAVE it.  I have the boxes checked to "Save Window Location as Part of Workspace" and "Save Sort Ordere as Part of Workspace".  Yes, I can exit Bridge, come back in, and the Workspace is still there.  I can switch to a different workspace and exit, and come back and switch back to my workspace.  All fine.  UNTIL something happens and the system crashes or gets rebooted or something I'm not aware of, but once THAT happens, the workspace I create is still THERE, the name is there, but the workspace is back to the useless Bridge default.  And I have to create it all over again. Is there something I'm not doing in the create or save that I need to do so the workspace DOESN'T at some random point go back to the default?  Or is this

I see a side panel in Bridge telling me to login to use my creative cloud files. i would like to access my Lightroom cloud and my adobe cloud files. i do not want to store images locally on my PC. How can i get this done? thank you,
