New user, so maybe I am missing something.I would really like to be able to filter on a range of GPS coordinates, eg from Latitude max,min and Longitude max, min. So I can find photos taken in a specific area, but from many different trips. Cant seem to find any way of doing this.
I am trying to understand the RegEx syntax to accomplish a limited scope of rename/reorder operations for migration to a new MAM/storage system. I have thousands of files with file names resembling the following:HS - 3_1_18_1pm_Jerry Garciaand need to identify and reorder the date/time string from the existing M_DD_YY_Ttt format seen above to the new format of:YYYY_MM_DDand then possibly rearrange the different elements of the filename. I have used Bridge extensively in the past for basic find/replace and sequencing jobs, but I have been unable to find a good primer on the RegEx syntax for advanced string substitution. Please advise.
When Using Adobe Bridge CC 2018 and the Apple Magic Mouse 2 with Sierra 10.12.6 and a MacBook Pro Mid 2014, the Scrolling Speed is too sensitive. I am referring to the vertical scrolling sensitivity when scrolling up and down through the Bridge Picture display using a finger on the mouse to move up and down. This cannot be adjusted with the Mouse Options or Accessibility Mouse & Trackpad options using Mac System Preferences. This is an Apple/Adobe compatibility problem. Has Apple and Adobe developed an option to correct this problem? As you probably are aware by now the Apple Platform has again become Adobe's professional user communities platform of choice as it was in the beginning.
Hello,I need to select some images in Adobe Bridge and then open them in previously saved photoshop document. Usually bridge opens them in default photoshop window but let say I create template.psd file and put it on my desktop. Now when I select particular images in Bridge I need them to open in template.psd and not in photoshop.exe. But not always, sometimes I need images to open in default PS.
I'm using version 9.0.3.279 I'm lmay be looking for a good cataloging program. Right now I use Bridge, but I wish I could find a way to tag and filter my images that would carry into subfolders. I have my images broken up into years and months with each year, but if I tag an image, it seems that tagging is only good for filtering within that folder and not in all my folders. If Bridge can do this, I need to learn how, and I'd appreciate any tips. But if not, does anyone know a good program that can handle this?
Despite followinmg instruction from a very helpful Gary and checking and checking that everything was done correctly and according to his instruction I still cannot view my desktop in Bridge 2020- I can however view everything else.Gary mentioned this ia an Apple issue but seriously Adobe you need to get this sorted - I just want this to work- I've been using Bridge since it started. It's inexcusable that subscribers must do workarounds because Apple and Adobe work things outThank You
A Member on my team is having issues with transferring images from his Mac (10.14.6) to a Server when using Bridge (10.1.1.166). He can easily transfer images to the server within Finder and the images are fine on the server, but when using Brdge his File Permissions are modifiying during the transfer. We have Reinstalled BridgeReset the Prefs (Command+Option+Shift key)Tested formats (all bad)Verified the same issue does not exist on two alternate computers Are there any known bugs or solutions for Permissions modifying during file transfer through Bridge? Thanks!
I am a photographer and I have thousands of folders named as follows: Kim Kardashian 9.11.20 (Name of model)(Date of shoot).I have a frequent need to sort among a large number of folders so that I can see what recent work is outstanding. For the last several years I've been using a separate third party database systems to create sorting fields by date. It's ridiculously laborious and expensive. Isn't there some way to better manage my workflow with Bridge? This seems a simple enough and obviously needed kind of function. In an ideal world I'd be able to see folders arrayed by name of model OR by date of shoot. It'd be very useful to be able to store things like models' proper name vs nickname, social media account info, email, phone number. I'd love to be able to flag folders so that I can see which shoots I've completed all the work for and which have outstanding work. These all seem incredibly basic needs for photographers. COuld anyone
Does Bridge automatically upload my photos from my HD to the cloud, or are My photos left on my HD? Thanks. {Thread title edited by moderator and moved to Bridge from Photoshop}

Hello, when I work on an image file like a jpeg in Camera RAW via Bridge the presets are not saved with the image anymore – the small bullet-list icon in the top righthand corner is missing. Instead I get an error window saying «RAW conversion settings cannot be savec – parsing error», see screenshot. https://ibb.co/g65w9nj Why is that or better: how can I get rid of that disturbing message. Thanks for any hint!
New bug just noticed today, version 10.1.1.116. When I open a folder of DNG files in Bridge, it starts converting almost all of the color thumnails to grayscale. I try to open those files, and they appear in RAW and in PS as 8-bit grayscale images. If I use Preview to view the supposedly grayscale images, they're in full color. The odd thing is, it isn't all DNG images, just the majority of them. With no rhyme or reason that I can see as to why some of them continue to be correctly read as color images. Doesn't seem to be happening to PSD or JPG files that I've observed so far.
I've attached a photo of a Nikon Raw file in Bridge. For some reason, Bridge isn't allowing me to label, star, rotate and of the photos in this folder. Any thoughts?
I have a file that indicates it is formated as a Bridgesort file. I can't open the file. I have the latest versions of Lr, Ps, and Br. Any suggestions? Is Bridgesort an Adobe product? Thank you.
Something happened with my files and I wanted to see if anyone can help. I put my SD card in and opened my images in Bridge. The images opened fine and I was able to color correct and go on to the next ones, but now when I go to open those images I see one .NEF file and there are 20 images missing. It's almost as if they are compressed into this single file that I can't open and says is 1.95 GB but I can't open because it says it is empty. And when I pull up the Card in Finder I can see the .xmp written files but the .NEF photos are gone. I also tried an recovery software that didn't pull them either. I know I didn't delete them, but even if I did they should still be pulled from the recovery software. Is there anyway to open these files? Or are they gone. Screenshot from Bridge and Finder on what I see.
Version 10.1.1.166 – Why has this changed so much? Is there a way to have this (Show Items from subfolders) permanently on rather than having to click on every folder. Why are some files and folder just not showing anymore???
Is there a way to specify that Bridge only show a specific folder on my desktop in the Folders Pane? Bridge is having a hard time keeping up with all of the files & folders on my computer, it is very slow in responding to commands. To boost performance I want to specify that it should only keep track of one folder where my image files are & to not keep track of everywhere else. - Note that specifying this folder as a favorite is different behavior than what I am looking for, yes Favorites is helpful to narrow down the focus but Bridge is still looking after all of the files on my computer & resultingly is very slow.
I've raised this issue before and didn't find a solution; hope maybe somene has an answer now. In Bridge 10.1.1.166, using Windows 10 64 bit, I can start keywording multiple files, but soon, some files won't accept keywords. They almost always do accept them on a second try. The problem is not related to file size or type. I previously purged the cache, reset preferences, and the problem continued. It's a big time waster. The problem is not limited to one computer; it happens on two different computers, one that is new with a fresh installation of Bridge.
Hi,Adobe Bridge's Preview Window doesn't show all pages of a .indd file in its preview? While I have and open a .indd file with at least twenty pages, the Preview Window just shows two first pages and the below counter in the thumbnail image just show 1/1 and 1/2 ?! why it happened and how to fix this? In this way, I can't browse all pages in the preview view to see other pages. Both InDesign and Bridge are up to date to the last versions. This issue isn't just with a specific a .indd and I see this problem with many .indd files. So to see the all page in a file of InDesign, I have to open it in InDesign, not in Bridge. Thank you in advanceMasoud
Hey everyone, Today I was rating some of my pictures again and now, as I wanted to keep working with them, the rating, which was there was still that of before I changed it this morning. Does anyone have a tip on how I can restore the ratings? I worked on that for several hours and it is really disappointing if I have to double-work for this. Thank you for your help 🙂
Mac 10.15.6 CatalinaIn Bridge 2020 Batch Rename shows my New filename correctly. But in all the windows in Bridge the filename that results from Batch Rename is wrong. --from 33153 Fl-V-00031.CR2 changed to 33153 Fl-V-^SEQN^.CR2. This also happened in High Sierra.I called Adobe about this almost a year ago and was told that it was an Adobe bug and would be fixed. So fortunately I kept Bridge 2019 and have had to use it since last winter. Why is this not yet fixed?
I’ve been running Bridge/Photoshop on my pc for years with no problems, but with the last 2020 version is becoming almost unusable. It takes SOOO long to generate thumbnails on a folder. I tried to uninstall and reinstall, purged all cache files, but it didn’t get any better... DesktopWindows 10 pro – 2004RAM 16 GBProcessor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHzSSD drive – 245 GB free429 GB and 981 GB left on each of the two hardrives where I keep all images Can any one help? Thanks.
I'm having an issue trying to use Bridge to preview stock VFX elements. These are often supplied as RGBA Quicktime movie files. Bridge is able to see the files, and play them in the preview window. The problem is that the image is displayed "straight" or unpremultiplied. I do not believe this to be an issue with the files, or with video codecs on the computer as VLC and Quicktime can both play them back fine. Is there an option in bridge that would let me correct this, or to manually set the premultiplication of RGBA video files.
