Audition 24.6.3.2, 2023 MBP M2 Pro, Sonoma 14.4.1, Samsung 4TB SSDI've imported a WAV file into a new project, placed it into a multitrack session to trim the head and tail (church sermon), and exported a 192Kbps MP3, just under 23 minutes long. The MP3 is needed elsewhere as-is, but I do import the cleaned-up file back into my project and place it in the multitrack. The file shows up grayed out, doing some sort of conform process, with a time estimate that grows from just over an hour to nearly nine hours. I let the process run and, after about 45 seconds, the clip shows up normal and we're ready to work with it. The first couple of times this happened, I force-quit Audition and exported a WAV file instead, but I'm trying to keep my year-long project folder to a reasonable size, hence the MP3. Today I let the process finish and all seems well, except for this apparent bug. Thoughts?
I have tracks that are MP3 files - mono, 192 - they came from mono 44100 32 bit. I can look at them and play them as single tracks, but if I drag them to a multi-track session the file turns into static.
Hello, I created an audiobook with 16 markers. Then I exported all files to separate mp3 files. 2 of the files where destroyed: they had at the end a strange loop of words or even a part of a text from a completely different chapter (marker). It seems that it appears only at the end of some files.Because I didn't recognize, I uploaded the files to audible - GREAT! Can somebody explain this?Did someone have the same problem?I am using Adobe Audition latest version 11/2024 Regards,Mario
Rack effects completely broken in new Audition... all black. How is this okay?
Hello, I have a very powerful computer with a powerful processor. I used to work with the old Adobe until now and I didn't encounter this problem and I would appreciate help. Every time I start playing the track with the spacebar, it takes almost half a second for the track to start. It's very annoying and inconvenient to work with. In the old auditions, it always goes online when I press the key. It's important to note that I work with a wireless keyboard (but I also worked in previous versions). Is there a setting or something that can be done to improve the editing process and so that the key works without delay to start the track?
I edit podcasts for a living and have an issue with Audition that's been bugging me for literally years. As shown in the video, while editing out hesitations and stutters, sometimes Audition won't let me delete a selected clip during playback in the multitrack editor. I have to stop playback, delete the clip, and resume playback. It happens maybe one in every 5-10 edits, which is enough to be hugely annoying, to break my flow when editing, and add up to a lot of wasted time. I'm on a top-end Macbook Pro and have had this issue with every version of Audition I've ever used. Any suggestions? This has been driving me nuts for YEARS.
I'm using the latest version of Audition on a Razer Blade 16' laptop with Windows 11 and this issue happens everytime and I get an error message. This also happens for shortcuts to open a file such as clicking on a blank area of the 'files' dock or by opening up computer location manually to save a file. Just to be clear though you can still save files but you have to copy and paste in the address without going into computer location within Audition. I have 32 GB memory, more than enough storage and have checked for any dodgy files in my C drive that may be creating this crash. I have used CCleaner to uninistall and then reinstall fresh but this hasn't worked. Attempting to install Audition on a separate hard drive hasn't worked either. I have looked for fixes online and tried everything and nothing works. Would appreciate any help as this is becoming a nightmare. I have attached some relevent log info and system info. P
While working in a 5.1 multitrack session, if one chooses the "edit audio to video" workspace, the track panners have the expected "LFE only" option. However, switch to "default" (which includes a video window and is still a nice workspace for a film mix) and the "LFE only" option is nowhere to be found.
An Audition session, which is a duplicate of a template that we use for a daily podcast, has performed much worse than normal. It contains the same music files and track effects as it normally does, with about 1gb of additional dialogue tracks. When opened, the application runs incredibly slowly and jumpy. We're unsure as to how to diagnose or troubleshoot this. Any guidance or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Noah
Recently when I have exported from Audition I have found that my audio has the first half duplicated, this is hard to describe but it copies part of the audio then duplicates it so its still the correct length of the original but halfway through it will restart. My process is dragging the video file into audition, applying match loudness, then exporting and for some reason the issue appears during this.
I am using the Rode NT1 5th gen trying to use the 32 bit float to get unclippable recordings but it's not working. I have installed the ASIO driver and switched to the ASIO in audition. I have set the bit depth to 32 bit float for recording. I am able to record but when I test to get peaks the audio is still clipped when I adjust the gain. I'm on Windows 10. Should I be able to go into the sound settings on Windows and change the bit depth to 32 bit? I am only seeing the option for 24 bit.
Basically, what happens is when I put Audition in windowed from maximized, it goes to an extremely small window size, and I maximize it again, my Files/Favorites panel and Levels panel extend really far to the right side of my screen, I have a feeling this is a bug. Video is edited to remove anything that could personally identify me using Premiere.Expected result: Panels resize back to what they were prior to going to windowed mode instead of keeping the windowed mode panel size/extending it real far.Actual result: Panels (most of the time) extend far to the right.-- TECHNICAL DETAILSAdobe Audition version 24.6.0.69Platform: Windows 11 Education 23H2Basic Steps: Make a new window (This happens in multitrack, I don't know if it does in Waveform), maximize the Audition window, Restore it to a draggable window, then maximize again, repeat until the panels get stretched.
Since updating to Audition 2025 the RX 10 Connect window won't open at all. All other Izotope plugins are working fine and Connect continues to work in Audition 2024. Any thoughts on potential solutions? Thanks in advance.
I am the author of a number of Audio Unit effect plugins, which I intend to release this year; I've also been an Audition user for decades, back to being a beta tester for CoolEdit in the 90s. The plugins I have written work fine in Logic Pro and Garage Band. In Audition, they appear in the plugins menu, but when the menu item is selected, Audition never attempts to open or run them. In Console, nothing is logged mentioning the plugin, nor does any logging the plugin would emit appear - it appears the plugin is simply not loaded at all. Audio Unit v2 plugins work as expected, but v3 do not. My best guess is that Audition sees them in the system's registry of audio plugins, but does not actually know how to load them. The behavior is reproducible 100% of the time with this open-source Audio Unit v3 plugin on Github:https://github.com/GeorgeMcMullen/AudioUnitV3Example Are these just not supported? If so, will they be? Or is there so
Hi, I as a radio producer, often working with tight turnaround times, and it's extremenly important that I can rely on the tools I use each day to create content for broadcast. For many, many years, Adobe Audition has been that tool. Yet recently, I have encountered a series of unexpected and unexplained crashes in Adobe Audition 2024 that have caused me to lose already saved work, resulting in hours of wasted time. These crashed have occured both in Waveform view and-- more troubling-- in Multitrack view, where entire sessions were wiped out and could not be recovered. Of course, I have sent error reports after the crashes, but I'm wondering how it is possible that the version of Audition from 2007 running on our outdated station PCs can be more reliable, and thus more useful, than this year's version of the program. It makes me question Adobe's quality control, and to seriously reconsider whether I should still be using Adobe's products at all. Please let me
I bought a new laptop with Windows 11. I updated everything, installed everything. Does not work connecting external microphones (usb and loop). At the same time in the programme Adobe Audition (and similar) slider on the timeline moves jerkily, but the record does not go. That is, as I understand, the programme does not see audio devices (they appear in the Device Manager, but do not work). If I replace the original installed Realtek HD audio driver with Realtek High Definition Audio Driver, the usb-microphone is connected and Adobe Audition works. But the looping microphone still won't connect. Besides, Sound Mode in MyASUS settings stops working - it has a very beautiful surround sound, as for a laptop. This section with sound settings simply disappears from the programme! So I understand that the problem is in the drivers? But they're official. I've tried default drivers from Windows, from Asus site and even with the help of special driver search programmes on the net.... It d
I teach an audio production class at a college and have used Adobe Audition ever since it was Cool Edit Pro.We had two students lose their final audio projects on Audition with the 2023 version and 2024 version, so we switched back to 2022 and hadn't had any problems for a couple of years. But now it's started again and two students have lost projects in the last two weeks. Here is what happened two weeks ago:Student was working on a Mac Ventura 13.1 and Adobe Audition 2022. Student went to export entire multitrack session to a wav file, but all of the export options were grayed out. So I had the student save their session (including the files) to reboot the program. We went to reopen the session and it was gone. Entirely empty. However, the session listing on the left side showed the exact time of the files. It knew exactly how long it was, but everything else was missing. No empty boxes that needed to be relinked. Nothing. And the conformed files were all sitting in the conformed fil
Hi. I'm using Adobe Audition build 24.4.13 on Windows 10. The click/pop eliminator does not seem to be working. Also part of that effect, "fill single click now" is not working. Procedure is to highlight the affected area of the wavform display, go to effects/restoration/click/pop eliminator/select parameters/apply. In older versions of audition, the change would be visible on the waveform display and audible. in the current version, no change is visible or audible no matter the settings. "Fill single click now" was one of the most helpful effects in previous versions, and not having it is presenting major problems. Thanks in advance for your help. -Peter
Adobe Audition consistently freezes when accessing it through logmein. This does not happen with any other Adobe Creative Cloud product afaik. This occurs on both the standard and the beta versions.
After the last update, Audition has become completely impossible for me to work with. It has become incredibly heavy, it takes a very long time to be allowed to move sound clips on the tracks, as it has to think a lot. And when I have worked for about half an hour, it goes completely wrong. Suddenly I can't mark anything, and when I try, the message "Audition encountered an error" pops up. After that, all the menus are gone and I have to close it all down and start them up again. It happens every time I've worked for half an hour in Audition. Since my primary work is with Audition, this means that I am up to having to restart Auditon 12-16 times a day. On the whole, I find that Audition seems worse and worse with each update. Is there anything at all that can explain to me what is going on or say something about it? It's insanely frustrating.
I run ProTools Studio for recording / mixing as well as utilize Adobe Audition for mastering (Isotope Suite) on a PC running Windows 11. I also run Sonarworks on a systemwide setting as well as the ASIO Sonarworks setting in Audition. The problem is intermittent where when exiting Audition, Sonarworks crashes, and I end up having to reboot the computer to get Sonarworks to run properly (a reboot of the program Sonarworks after said crash then runs wrong - so a system boot is necessary to correct the issue). Not sure if the bug is on Audition's side or Sonarworks side. It is problematic and hinders my work flow to a certain degree. Anyone else running into this problem with a similar setup? Hallo Leute!
I set markers in the multitrack edit window. "Marker 01" appears above the timeline. Right-click on marker > Show in Markers Panel. The panel is blank, showing no markers. It doesn't matter how many cue markers are set; none appear in the panel (see screenshot).
Some 3rd party fx plugins result in an undesired fade-in after Applying via the Effects Rack in the Waveform Editor.I demonstrated the problem in an attached screenshot and audio file, in which I generated white noise and applied the effect. This issue is repeatable even when the mix within the plugin is set to zero. The fade length ranges from 100-1000ms depending on the plugin. I've experienced this with Valhalla VintageVerb/Delay/Ubermod (supermassive works fine), Arturia Spring, and SoundToys FilterFreak among other plugins. Most plugins work fine (no issues with FabFilter, Goodhertz, others). I experimented, applying the exact same processing to the same files using RX10, Logic and Ableton and this does not occur. I've experienced this bug for years now and have reported it many times. I've also reported this to Valhalla and Arturia. Please fix this!
Greetings, Just yesteday, and last night on a different machine (which hasn't been updated yet), the Denoise plugin was working in the multitrack session. Now, with the recent update, the DeNoise plugin only works for waveform, but sliding the 0% to 100% noise reduction back and forth, regardless of the targeted frequences, removes no noise at all when using in multitrack. This appears to be a bug, considering is was working on two entirely different machines (one in the network zone, one outside the network zone) very recently.
