Every thime i try tio open a new project the scene 3d fail to load. and when i am tryin to save because i am trying to open the project again it fail to save. I do have space on my hard drive... it is my first time i am trying to use Substance 3d. Not a good start.
As per the title, Subsatnce is Destroying meshes. Was fine in previous builds.I have several models that previously shoed fine, but now Substance is destroying them.Included a couple pics to show the issue. Same models work are fine in both Toolbag 5, and 3DCoat.Any idea when this bug will be fixed? Thanks for anu input
Lates Update creating artifacts.Same model was fine in previois builds, and also fine in Toolbag 5, and 3DCoatAny eta on a fix for this bug?
In Substance Painter, when I generate ambient occlusion maps, they don't work correctly. Instead of being created based on the model, they appear as white lines, completely ignoring the model's UVs.What I have tried so far:Reinstalling the programUsing older versionsDeleting the cacheClearing my computer's cacheTesting with a different software (even with Substance Painter’s default models, the issue persists)Using a fill layer and manually generating ambient occlusion, but it still doesn’t workAny help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hello,The 2d viewport ( and sometimes the 3d too) keeps freezing up to where I have to keep restarting substance painter and reloading all the resources. Is there a fix for this? It's driving me nutz. Thanks.windows 1064 bit32gb vramNvidia geforce gtx 1060 6gb graphics card.driver version 566.36
I am having a problem when I try to create any type of gloss variation. gloss details appear flat, white and non reflective. Using a simple base fill layer with 0.6 gloss and dark grey diffuse and specular.Then I have a another fill layer with a black mask using a fill with a grunge map.I am only using the gloss channel at a value of 0.8.This is what its suppossed to look like. Same layer stack and grunge map and it looks completely different. The gloss details are actually reflective as intended and it is not turning white when being viewed at a lower angle. Using PBR Spec Gloss workflow on Version 10.1.2
Today when I was looking to do some outfit variants, I was met with 3D Painter refusing to launch, at first I suspected it being due to this project being a couple months old, though I was met with the same issue on empty projects. Though I'll get straight to the point and state everything I tried and did: Reinstalled Substance 3D Painter though Adobe Creative Cloud. (Still same issue)Tried downgrading my version through Adobe Creative Cloud. (Still same issue)Tried ripping out the starter-assets to see if the problem can be prevented by not having said problematic files. Getting bluescreen many times i try to close Substance Painter. And when windows boots up the file is currupted. I cant revert back to an older Painter version since i then can't open the submited files that are using the new version. And next time trying to open painter it also gives me an error:Substance 3D Painter encountered an unexpected error and is now exiting, please restart Substance 3D Painter and send a crash report. Reason: Failed to open "projectsettings.ini" Not sure what is going on here. Just though to make a post and see if someone has a solution.
Hi All! Using Houdini on MacOS. All apps up-to-date: If I create materials for and object an attempt to create a new project in Painter using the FBX output, Painter crashes immediately. I have UDIMs. If I don't include the materials then Painter loads the FBX fine and I can work with the UDIM tiles, which is ok but I would like to employ different texture sets. Any ideas why the crash?
Hi guys I'm having a problem with the Substance bake. Until yesterday everything was working correctly and today I'm having this type of problem. the UVs and Normals and the other import export settings are the usual ones that I have always used without problems, but today I don't know why the program gives me this error. the problem concerns the Bake of the AO. I tried to make a bake on more or less complex objects and even to make a new bake on existing projects that I had already worked on. the problem is always the same. I had Bake tested on a colleague of mine's PC and everything works correctly for him, so it makes me think that the problem could be with my computer or video card or video card driver, I don't know. Please help me.
Textures are not baking well, especially for ambient occlusion, they are either striped, dotted or completely shifted relative to other textures and overlap! The solution is to turn off GPU Raytracing, but this results in huge CPU usage!
Issue:A strange circle appears when rendering in Iray as soon as Caustic Sampler is enabled. The issue persists after restarting the software and accross projects. What Makes It Worse:Increasing the field of view makes it progressively more visible.What Makes It Better or Removes It:Lowering the field of view reduces it, and at the lowest possible FOV, it almost disappears.Switching to orthographic view removes it entirely.Enabling clear color makes it go away.Disabling the caustic sampler completely removes the issue.
I'm trying to install the software on win10 for the first time, with 2560*1440 screen, 100% scale. Yet no matter how I change language, resolution, scale or DPI settings in compatibility, the install button still dont show up.Has anyone encountered the problem or my pc has irregular settings?

I am once again getting this error when launching Painter or ANY other Adobe app."Sorry, Adobe Substance 3D Painter has encountered an error and needs to close."I am not going to format my PC as has been suggested. I have uninstalled and reinstalled creative cloud and the apps in question.This has been going on for months and Adobe is happy to take my money and make it virtually impossible to contact anyone or cancel a service THAT IS NOT WORKING.Please solve this today or I will take action to cancel all of my subscriptions and demand refunds, even if I have to stay on the phone for a week.Bug report information:1. When Baking textures, this happens with the Ambient Occlusion
Hi!So as stated above I've got a promotional code for SP from FAB, redeem it, and everything works smooth until i was denied acess to software and later I received a letter from adobe whith accusations of "suspitions of fraudulent activity on my account". Adobe employee @Cyril Dellenbach was actively monitoring this, but there were no communication with them since Feb 3.It's been 15 days and issue is still not resolved.That is not what I expect from a customer service for years of creative cloud subscription. I really hope @Cyril Dellenbach or another tech support will contact me and restore my acess to Substance Painter license.
Hi Folks,I installed Substance Painter on my computer new, and moved the window to my second screen, which is a Huion Drawing screen. After I closed the application and reopened it, it gets a white screen and freezes. I'm not able to open Sub. Painter anymore.Can someone help me or give me a tip how to fix this?!ThnxBenc
I have recently been trying to bake from hipoly to lowpoly. However, I have begun to run into the error: "[BakingProcess] Can't create a resource from the baker result: Failed to write temporary image at /private/var/folders/52/s31hz9h10bs195v_pl9ytnxr0000gn/T/SubstancePainter-Tmp-GyNrde: Unknown error".This only occurs when trying to bake curvature or AO maps - when I press bake, the normal map and World space normal maps work fine, but when baking AO or curvature the baking visualisation window freezes and the progress bar does not move. when I press cancel the error pops up. other maps work fine. Previously restarting seemed to help, but now even that does not fix the issue.I am using a M1 Macbook Pro 2020, using Sequoia 15.3.1 (I recently updated as I thought this might fix the issue, and was using Sonoma before). I made some simple geometry in blender and exported it to substance painter to be textured but I keep having issues with baking no matter how I UV unwrap. (I've seen people saying it has to do with UV overlapping but i cant find any faces that overlap). With further testing I found that even simple geometry such as cubes have these issues so I dont think its related to overlapping UVs.

Hi I'm importing some 3d objects from Maya to Substance Painter but whenever I bake the textures, Ambient Oclussion bakes some weird artifacts. I though it was because some issue with my models, but I've just tried with a simple box with an automatic mapping and the issue remains. Maya: Substance Painter: I even uninstall and install again the program but the issue remains. Any help here? Thanks in advance
