There's an issue when selecting text.

In the latest version of Illustrator Beta, creating an Area Type object creates the following problems:You cannot use the mouse to position the insertion point within the text. You can only select the beginning of a line, not within the line.You cannot double-click a word to select, nor triple-click a sentence to select. It always starts selection at character 0.When inserting characters from the Character Panel, no matter where your insertion point is positioned, it inserts the characters at the beginning of the Area Type object, not at your insertion point. Cutting or copying text, then trying to paste, does not work. Cutting works, but not pasting.When multiple elements are selected, including an Area Type object, resizing the Area Type object should only affect the Area Type's defined boundary, unless grouped. When grouped, all grouped elements should be resized. When selected as one of multiple items, it should retain its resize/reflow without affecting the rest of the select

Ich habe es gestern aktualisiert, heute habe ich es für die Arbeit an Visitenkarten geöffnet, ich kann nicht einmal einen Text schreiben, das Programm hängt sich ständig auf, ich bin wirklich genervt, ich kann keine Schriftart auswählen, es will ständig KI aktivieren, ich habe nur 8 cm der Visitenkartenarbeit in 2 Stunden fertigstellen können, ich musste es ständig schließen und neu öffnen, in Photoshop habe ich schneller gearbeitet. Was auch immer Sie gemacht haben, das Programm hängt sich auf.

Type cursor defaults to bottom of area text. cant select particular part of text by clicking on it.

When I want to change the size adjustment of rotated text boxes (90° counter clockwise) from manual to automatic, the right adjustment handle changes the hight and the bottom one the width - They are flipped. I added a video, as requested.Step by step:creating a text boxrotating the text boxchanging it to "area text"resizing the boxdouble click the bottom indicator BUT instead of adjusting the hight, it adjusts the width.

I paste text into a premade textbox in a template, and then cannot place my cursor in the desired spot in the text. The cursor stayed at the end of the box and began highlighting all the text instead of moving to the desired place I clicked. I wanted to delete the spaces at the beginning of the rows but could nto due to this bug. The issue does not occur in Illustrator 2026 30.0, only in Beta 30.2 45.

(Beta Illustrator 30.2 45 (64 bit) on (Windows 11 Pro). The text box, copied from InDesign (and also from new text), is difficult to select in its entirety, especially with a mouse selection. In practice, it is only partially selected, as if the style and formatting attributes were partially bugged. I tried the same file on Illustrator Release (30.1), but it works perfectly there.

After update to 30.2 45 version of the Illustrator Beta, I have not been able to select the desired text properly using trackpad or mouse. The selection doesn't start from where I point the mouse, it starts selecting from elsewhere. This happens in both Area Type and Point Type text. I operate on Tahoe 26.1 Mac OS. 

cannot click on text anywhere I want and edit from there; I must find the end of the line, then move the cursor over to where I want to edit text. 

Issue: I cannot see the option to install previous versions of Illustrator Beta in the Creative Cloud desktop app. This feature works fine for Photoshop Beta, but is missing for Illustrator.Why this is critical: I am currently experiencing the known "Text selection offset" bug (cursor jumps away from click location) in v30.2. Because of the missing rollback option, I am stuck on this version and cannot downgrade to a usable state.Windows 11 v 25H2

Hi in the latest beta, if I try to select text og mark a place I want to select og have the text cursor it will jump and select a totaly different place in the text box. If I create a new box it will work as expected, if I move the box it jumping around again. 

Cursor is not responsive to clicked location. Cursor placement jumps to a different location away from click location. This has been happening through the 2 most recent updates. I just updated to 30.2.0 . 

When trying to select a specific spot in a block of text the blinking caret is randomly offset to the area clicked or it will select lines of text. To get to the spot that needs editing I need to manually navigate there using the keyboards arrow keys.

When attempting to select a letter or word in a text box, the cursor automatically and incorrectly selects a large number of words, making manual adjustment impossible. To temporarily work around this problem and be able to select a specific letter or word, it is necessary to click with the text tool and use the keyboard arrow keys to move the cursor to the desired letter/word, so that you can then delete or modify it.This bug appeared after the most recent update for Illustrator Beta. The Illustrator version is: 30.2.0 #45

For quire some time this approach was working perfectly in our plugin: sAIFont->GetPostScriptFontName(fontKey, postScriptName, 1024); But recently in 29-30 version of Illustrastor it does not return anything when the fonts are missing. The font names are still returned correctly when the fonts are installed in the system. But if they are not, this returns an empty string and the result is an error. Other similar methods from AIFont are also not working correctly. I have also tested it in the recent Illustrator Beta, with the same result. Can someone explain what is happening and why this was somehow changed and how should it work now?

When I share my file the background shows up white even if I've set a color for the artboard. (Instead of using a colored rectangle for the background I will just assign a color to the artboard, but it shows up as a white backgorund when sharing with my colleagues) 

Cuanto trato de seleccionar una parte de un párrafo de texto, me subraya todo y me es imposible agarrar solo las palabras que quiero poner por ejemplo en negrita.

Ao abrir arquivos PDF no Illustrator Beta 30.2 45 no Mac Os Tahoe 26.1 (arquivos originalmente criados no Illustrator), a seleção de texto fica desalinhada. Ação: Ao usar a ferramenta Texto (T) e dar um clique duplo para selecionar uma palavra, a seleção "salta" e seleciona uma palavra vizinha ou caracteres incorretos.Problema: O cursor visual e o ponto de seleção real (hitbox) não coincidem.Contexto: O bug é mais evidente em textos reabertos de arquivos PDF. Se eu crio uma caixa de texto nova no Beta e colo o mesmo conteúdo, a seleção funciona corretamente. Aparentemente o problema acontece depois de um tempo com o arquivo aberto. Logo que crio o novo, funciona certo.Comparação: O problema não ocorre na versão estável do Illustrator (Ex: 2026).Sugestão: Por favor, verifiquem o motor de renderização e seleção de texto ao importar atributos de posicionamento de arquivos PDF.

Newest Beta 30.2 slows down to crawl even on the simplest files. Starts normally, but within 5 mins whole interface slows down. Dragging and selecting start lagging to a point where a restart is needed.

Al revisar el motivo, compruebo que el propio Illustrator modifica el nombre de los archivos, truncando la extensión.Por ejemplo:Archivo original: imagen.jpgAl reabrir el documento, Illustrator intenta vincular: imagen.jpEs decir, elimina automáticamente la última letra de la extensión y, como consecuencia, se rompe el enlace.Este comportamiento ocurre cada vez que guardo y vuelvo a abrir el archivo, independientemente de la ubicación o del nombre original del recurso. He probado ya varias acciones:Restablecer preferencias.Verificar nombres de archivo sin caracteres especiales.Activar la opción “Guardar enlaces de archivo con documentos”.Trabajar en carpetas locales (no sincronizadas).Revisar permisos de macOS.Aun así, el problema persiste.Ag

This is the Illustrator Beta App window... it's pretty badly hosed I think!

No abren los archivos (.ai) desde el explorador de Windows, tengo que abrir el programa y ARRASTRAR el archivo desde el explorador hasta el programa abierto, cabe mencionar que por un tema de espacio desinstalé la versión normal de Illustrator y solo tengo la versión Beta de Illustrator

every time i switch tabs in Illustrator, the "start using partner models" popup pops up regardless of X-ing out or canceling the window. No i will not click OK.

Some of the layers are missing whenever I import an Illustrator file into an InDesign file.
