Under the Keyword List, when the count for a given keyword exceeds 99999, the count is displayed with the last 3 digits printed as "...". For example, for a count of 100373, the Keyword List displays it as "100...". No matter how wide I make the far right panel, keyword counts of 100000 and more will not display the final 3 digits. I often use the exact counts for inventory control and photo asset management. The loss of the last 3 digits of large counts is a significant burden to these functions. [LR 5.6]
If I add the keyword B&W once, the next time I start a keyword with B, I get offered the choice BW (uppercase B, uppercase and underlined W). This is a standard function in databases but I feel that the keyword input should be (further?) sanitised so that the returned string is the same as the input. Thanks.

Recently installed Adobe Lightroom 4.2 on a Windows 7 Professional 64 bit system. I have a Synology DS 213 NAS which has approximately 25,000 potographs. I am trying to import them into a Lightroom 4 catalog. However LR constantly crashes!!! Google Picasa never gave me any trouble! Any suggestions? Where can I get a refund for this buggy software?
Configuration: MacBook Pro i7 2.7 GHz, Lion 10.7.2, Lightroom 3.5 What I try to do: Publish a set of photos and videos to my harddisk with the option "limit file size" set to 1000 kB. When I try to publish I get an "assertion failed" error for all the videos. When I uncheck the limit file size option, everything works fine... Is it a bug? I thought that videos are not concerned by the settings concerning file size or picture quality...
Hi,I have last version of Adobe Lightroom CC.Steps to reproduce bug:1. Enable profile corrections.2. Make some changes in Distortion.3. Make some changes in Crop mode - correct angle.4. Select Brush and start selecting at the edge of photo.Actual result:Area marked as square during selection.
When I apply lens correction to images taken in sRAW format, they do not correct the image in the same way that they do on full size RAW files.I ran tests on Nikon D810 RAW 14 bit, 12 bit and sRAW files, all taken on a tripod with identical framing, equipment (Nikon 14-24mm), and settings. The lens correction was properly applied on the RAW 14 bit and 12 bit files but not on the sRAW file, although the lens used was shown as detected.Any help to have lightroom correct for lens distortion on Nikon D810 sRAW files?
Since updating to LR CC 2015.6 Lightroom frequently locks up when selecting to import photos from an iPhone or a DSLR SD card. The problem does NOT occur with every import. But when it does occur sometimes it is necessary to delete the com.adobe.Lightroom6.plist file in order to successfully import after the force quit. Other times it is NOT necessary to delete the prefs file in order to do the import following a force quit. iMac 27", 8GB RAM, OS X 10.11.5, about 1TB free disk space. Is this a LR bug in the latest version? Didn't happen with previous versions.
The only way to revert to Normal screen mode is to quit LR.
I'm having an issue with Lightroom CC being very slow at file handling. In Lightroom 5 I could move files from one folder to another on the same drive very quickly (almost instantly, never more than a few seconds), but in Lightroom CC I'm currently moving 400 CR2 files to a different folder and it's taken 10 minutes. This is on a Retina MacBook Pro with an SSD. Also, the way Lightroom CC converts to DNG seems to be different. Normally when I import files I choose to convert to DNG in the Import dialogue. Normally in Lightroom 5 I ended up with a folder full of DNG files. However, in Lightroom CC I seem to get a folder of CR2 files which are then converted to DNG. I tried moving these files (from within Lightroom) while this process was going on and Lightroom got very confused and around 25% of my files could no longer be found by Lightroom (they were still on the disk, but with "DNG" extensions as opposed to the "CR2" which Lightroom seemed to be expecting, even though it had just conv
So this is great... I'm having multiple sign in issues (https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/lightroom-always-signing-out-of-lightroom-mob...) and so do others (https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/mobile-syncing-stopped-after-update-to-lightr...) and nothing is done about this easy problem. It is very easy to keep sign in information for a local application, I don't know why it is so hard for LR...I'm currently traveling. Internet is bad. As in 3kb/s bad. As in WiFi connection dropping out randomly. You know what is really great when you want to work on pictures while on the road? This:The Sign In dialog appears when trying to start Lightroom. It doesn't help killing it (task manager). Whenever I start LR this shows up again because apparently I am using Trial software. Which I am not. I bought LR standalone as well as LR CC. So this is beautifully designed to throw out paying users... Sorry, I am frustrated. You see the little spinning icon? After 5
I run Photoshop and LR CC on a 27" 5k iMac with a second monitor (Dell UltraSharp UP2516D via display port). Both LR and Photoshop are assigned to 'Desktop on Display 2'.When launched, Photoshop opens on the secondary monitor.Lightroom always launches on the main screen. This has occurred on OS X 10.11.3 and now 10.11.4.Just tried a re-install of the OS due to an issue with my APC UPS supply not showing and it fixed that issue but not this one. Spoke to Apple support about the above and they could not find any info on their end as to why this behavior might be happening.Just updated LR (release 2015.5) but no change in the behavior.Any suggestions? I've got to believe it's an issue with LR since Photoshop behaves correctly.
I've tried importing photos from various devices - iPhone, hard drive, memory card... I've also restarted my computer, but I seem to keep running into the same problem with importing any new images into Lightroom (see image attached) I've also tried importing in smaller batches, no more than 15 images from the one day, and I still have the same problem. I did update my Lightroom to the latest version the other day. Could this be the issue? I'm at a loss as to what may have caused this. Any insights or suggestions? Thanks!
Recently, when I try to edit one of my watermarks in Lightroom CC, I find that the watermark dropdown box is blank. I can click on the dropdown box to see all my watermarks and can select any of them and it works, but not after editing one of them.
Lightroom 6.5.1: Nikon D750 with Tamron 150-600/5-6.3, nef file converted to dng upon import, library module recognises and displays correct camera and lens information but developer module is unable to identify lens automatically for correction despite having a respective profile from Adobe, Tamron 70-200/2.8 would work flawlessly, fix would be very much appreciated - Thanks, Stephan
On OS X 10.11.2, when LR is running in full screen by clicking the green button in the upper-left corner of the main window, a resizable modal dialog box will automatically expand to full screen. This is clearly undesirable and doesn't happen on Windows. Here's a sample script that shows the problem: local LrDialogs = import 'LrDialogs' local LrView = import 'LrView'local f = LrView.osFactory()LrDialogs.presentModalDialog { title = "Full-Screen Bug", resizable = true, contents = f:static_text {title = "Hello!"}} [This also occurs with built-in dialogs such as File > Export... See below.]
I have noticed a change of behavior in Lightroom 6.2.1. When I use the "Photo Merge - HDR" functionality, Lightroom modifies original image files (in case those are JPEGs or TIFFs) or writes/modifies original files' XMP sidecar files (if original files are "proprietary" RAW files, have not tested any DNGs). This happens in spite of having the "Automatically write changes into XMP" unchecked in the Metadata section of Catalog Settings. Judging from comparison of "before" and "after" XMP files, it seems that only the history record is overwritten.Additionally, I checked the "Photo Merge - Panorama" tool and it behaves in the same way.LR version 6.2.1 was the first version where I noticed the problem. I checked the new LR 6.3 this morning and it behaves identically.
When I publish photos to SmugMug with the plugin, any photos with a recognized face are not marked as 'Published'. They instead remain eternally 'Modified need to re-publish' This is very annoying, since I have faces in a couple thousand photos. Any time I sync my Smugmug gallery, I tries to re-upload all these photos again, even though they're up to date.
I have created a slideshow with a white text overlay that shows the image Title. I reduced the text overlay box to its minimum size, and the resulting text in the slideshow is fuzzy and pixelated, not clean and sharp. Even when the text is larger the outside border of the text (black) is not aliased, and shows ugly jaggies. MacbookPro Retina 15, OSX 10.8.4 using Best for Retina display. However, the text renders smoothly on Win 7.
When trying to select a page layout in the book module of Lightroom, the pop-up menu to select the new layout is visible but the scroll bar is not. All of my Adobe apps are up to date. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium with SP1 installed; I have also installed all recent updates for the OS.
The Pano Module is really strange it it's behavior. Or call it buggy since that's matching too.I have 2 sets of pictures that can't be rendered als panorama because of some "unknown error" in the middle of the rendering process. Images itself look fine.I have at least one set of 10 images that will only be rendered correctly when the last setting used in the module was the perspective one. If I set it to something other or change the setting and go back to perspective the panorama gets messed up quite heavily. (example at http://imgur.com/a/fF2Mo)Sometimes, as in the upper example too, there is a big chunk of the panorama missing - every time on its left side. In the upper example half of the left plane.
The command Map > Tracklog > Set Time Zone Offset is not documented: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/help/maps-module.html#work_with_photos_and_gps_data. I tediously watched the LR 4 tutorial on that page (10 minutes!), and while the tutorial mentions correcting local times in the Library module, it doesn't mention the Set Time Zone Offset command.
Lightroom: Handling RAW+JPGContext:- Shot RAW+JPG- Import Raw+JPG- Lightroom Settings: DO NOT "Treat JPEG files next to raw files as separate photos"!--> In this configuration, JPEGs are treated as invisible/unaccessible ‘sidecar’ files. The default Lightroom rendering off RAW files may be quite different from the JPEG files coming from the camera.Currently, with this configuration, if you want to have a look at the camera's JPEGs, you can not do this within Lightroom, you need to use a different program!Feature request:Showing the JPG in Lightroom should be possible. Library module: Loupe view, Compare view, (ev Grid view), ... andDevelop module: "Before and After" view --> Possibility to show JPEG in the "Before" part of this view.(Where "Showing" means rendering, not displaying 2 thumbnails.)Mixed mode: I suggest to show (render) JPEGs if no developper settings are present, and Lightroom RAW rendering for photos with developper settings. Thanks a lot,Robert GLOD
Every time I open lightroom 5.6 64 bit, I get an error message that states, "Lightroom encountered an eror when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit. Lightroom will attempt to fix this problem the next time it launches." I cannot work on anything! Any suggestions????
LR6 (CC), edit TIF file (imported from PS or NIK). Image "reloads" after almost every Develop module edit. In some cases, all previous Develop module settings are lost, and the image reverts to it's original appearance. Even though the previous Develop module edits are still shown on the History panel - they no longer have any effect. Result - total loss of all user edits. Workaround: disable "Automatically write changes to XMP" in catalog settings. This is what appears to trigger the constant "reloads". Note this does not appear to be related to GPU - the problem occurs exactly the same whether GPU is enabled or disabled. Also note, the problem does NOT occur when editing RAW files. So far, it appears to occur only with TIF files. Lightroom CC, 2015 Release Windows 7, 64-bit, all latest updates AMD Radeon HD 7700, latest AMD drivers
