I noticed that with the arrival of the new update for 2024, the pen pressure has stopped working and even in general the program is quite laggy, when you make a stroke or use the lasso tool for a short period of time it freezes and does not let you continue, hindering the workflow, I am using a Huion Kamvas 13 and the pen pressure works with any other program like Clip Studio, Krita even works in Illustrator. But I can't get it to work again in Photoshop.Searching for solutions in forums and videos I HAVE TRIED THE FOLLOWING METHODS: -Have the pen pressure checkbox active in the brush settings.-Verify that the Window Ink checkbox is active from the Huion driver.-Even try with the famous text file "# Use WinTab UseSystemStylus 0". None of this has solved my problem, I honestly can't say in which update specifically I noticed this error, but I know it was from this year's update. I am a bit frustrated as I have not been able to work properly and I need to resolve it. Thanks
When launching Photoshop the following error appears on screen:“could not apply the saved panel configuration, resetting to default”After the application starts up, workspace can be restored back to the saved preferred layout and everything function correctly. This started with 27.1 and has continued in to 27.3There was also already a thread on here where Adobe said it was being looked in to and myself and others had submitted error logs to show where it appeared to flagging the error. After the community change here, that previous bug report has disappeared from the link resolving there or finding it via search so adding a new till it gets addressed.
Is it OK, that all custom Proof setups remain checked, even when I select Working CMYK back?It is really confusing.PS 27.6, Win 11
I usually start with a RAW file. Then save it as TIF16 and finally convert it to 8 bit and save it as JPG. If, by mistake, I save it as GIF, then all EXIF data is gone “forever”. If I UNDO the operation and go back to the 16 bit version, the elimination of the data is NOT undone. At this point I have to close everything, re-open the TIF16, convert it to 8 bit and save it again as JPG.I don’t know if this is really a BUG but it wold be great if EXIF data could be part of the UNDO process as well!By the way: (suggestion): It would be great too if there was a key combination to SAVE AS TIF or SAVE AS JPG directly, without going through the dialog box, choose the file type, click OK, etc. This place is where the above mistake usually happens!
I upgraded to Photoshop 27.7 yesterday afternoon and see that the Export>Save for Web interface has been changed. Is it possible to use the legacy interface? In my previous workflow, exporting to a specific width went like this:1. Export>Save for Web (Cmd-Shift-Opt-S)2. Tab 3 times3. Set width4. Save fileIn the new interface:1. Export>Save for Web (Cmd-Shift-Opt-S)2. Tab 16—SIXTEEN—times3. Set width4. Save fileNot a deal-breaker, but I do this hundreds of times a week and have for decades. It’s muscle memory, and whatever has been changed doesn’t matter to me in the slightest.
Before update: Select, click on gen fill, type prompt and Enter to generate. After: It's like it loses focus and I have to click on the text bar bunch of times before I'm able to type. I can't even start generating by pressing enter.
This update broke the "default app" on Mac OS again... After the Update to 26.7 the default app is set to Adobe Acrobat, double clicking JPG or TIF will open the Preview App. Photoshop can not be set as default app, it will always be set back to Acrobat. Deleting Photoshop and installing Version 26.6.1 lets you set Photoshop as default and keeps it, so it's a problem of 26.7. I'm using Mac OS Sequoia 15.5 Please fix this, it's extremely annoying. Thanks.
I am trying to update from Ps v.27.7 on a MacBook Air M4 with 24 GB RAM. At 47% it froze.I did a Cancel and it remains in Cancelling status. If I try to launch v.27.7, I get a popup saying it is corrupted.
The "import video to layers" features is unusable after the latest update. Since I use this feature all the time this is critical for me! - i am using a .mov file that has worked before (prores 4444, 10mb, 3seconds) - clicking ok makes the dialog hang 30 seconds with spinning beach ball - "Making layers" process takes 7 minutes! It took 7 seconds before! - the opened layers are all empty Macbook Pro M3 Pro, macOS 15.1.1 Photoshop 26.1.0 20241113.r.121
Opening a JPG-file in PS 27.6. Then try to apply the remove tool. Immediately receive an error (with the request to send a report). Done so. Re-installed PS but no cure. Thanks for solving the issue.
Steps to reproduce:1. Open Photoshop v27.x on Windows 11.2. Open any image (8-bit PNG/JPG).3. Go to Image > Adjustments > Exposure...4. Move the Exposure slider (for example, +0.5).5. Observe the Gamma Correction slider: it instantly jumps to 0.01 and the preview becomes heavily distorted.Actual result:Gamma Correction resets to 0.01 automatically after moving the Exposure slider, producing a washed-out / broken preview.Expected result:Gamma should remain stable or adjust smoothly; it should not reset to an extreme value.System info:- Photoshop version: 27- OS: Windows 11- GPU: RTX 5070 (12GB)- GPU acceleration: Enabled- Bit depth: 8 bits/channel
Keyboard shortcuts reset almost every time Photoshop starts. On top of that, almost every time I get a message saying it can’t load the custom workspace so it resets to default. I use a lot of custom shortcuts and panels so it’s maddening to have to redo this Sisyphean task several times a week.Anyone else constantly running into this?Release 27.6.0.
There is a glitch with alpha channel videos, photoshop is not responding and freezing. It was working on version 25.6, problem started with the version 25.7. (Alpha channel videos were created using photoshop)
Adobe Photoshop 2026Technical Bug Report for Adobe Photoshop 2026Subject: Issue with Canvas Size Unit Synchronization with Ruler PreferencesDescription: After the latest Photoshop 2026 update, there is a persistent issue where the Canvas Size dialog box does not automatically synchronize with the active Ruler Units. Previously, changing the Ruler units (e.g., from Pixels to Inches) would reflect as the default unit when opening the Canvas Size window. Currently, it requires manual adjustment every time, which disrupts the workflow.Steps to Reproduce: Set the Ruler units to 'Pixels' or 'Inches' by right-clicking the Ruler or via Preferences. Navigate to Image > Canvas Size. Observe that the unit in the Canvas Size dialog does not match the active Ruler unit (it often defaults to a previously used unit or a fixed standard). Expected Behavior: The Canvas Size dialog should automatically detect and match the primary Ruler unit set by the user to ensure consistency in measurement and
Generative upscaler in Photoshop automatically creates file names for upscaled images. The file names not only include accented characters* but it also include colon (:) or slash (/), which are characters banned for use in filenames since the 1970s and 1980s, respectively! Please fix this nonsense. On the attached screenshot, you can see, Photoshop internally uses colon in file name (“Měřítko :”) which means Scale. And when saving, the colon is converted into another forbidden character, slash. * Although files with accented filenames should work without any issues, some Adobe applications actually have problems with standard Unicode characters. In InDesign, for example, accented characters cause all sorts of problems and trigger nonsensical error messages claiming that folders or files do not exist. In 2026, several decades after the Unicode standard…
Subject: Feedback on Photoshop Chinese Translation of "Parent/Child Layers" Body: Dear Adobe Localization Team, In the Chinese version of Photoshop, Parent Layer / Child Layer has been translated as “父子关系” (father-son relationship). This translation is problematic for several reasons: - Incorrect meaning: The original term refers to a technical hierarchy (parent/child layers), not family relationships. - Gender bias: Using “father-son” reinforces a male-centered narrative, excluding mother-child or sibling relationships. - Negative impact in teaching: Some instructors extend this translation into “dad layer” or “son layer,” which creates unnecessary gendered associations and distracts from the actual functionality. I strongly recommend revising the translation to more accurate and neutral terms, such as: - “主层/子层” (main layer / sub-layer) - or “主次关系” (hierarchical relationship) This would better reflect the technical meaning, avoid gender bias, and improve the learning exper
Hi everyone, I would like to report this explicitly as a bug report, and I kindly ask that it not be converted into a question. The behavior is reproducible in my setup and, from my point of view, affects WinTab support in Photoshop 27.6. After updating to Photoshop 27.6, WinTab still no longer works reliably. I need WinTab because pen input is much smoother and more precise with it, especially when working with sliders, numeric input fields, and Photoshop UI controls in general. Reproducible behavior With WinTab enabled, Photoshop 27.6 freezes as soon as I move the brush size slider. Important detail:The freeze happens even when I move the slider with the mouse, not with the Wacom pen.To me, this strongly suggests that this is not simply a Wacom pen issue, but a problem in Photoshop’s WinTab handling itself. Test results in Photoshop 27.6 WinTab enabledopened a new test document selected the Brush tool moved the brush size slider using only the mouse Photoshop freezes immediately afte
This is what I get when trying to install an existing plugin update.
I am experiencing another issue with Photoshop 2025 on macOS.A DNG file generated through Lightroom Super Resolution cannot be opened in Photoshop.Error message:“The file-format module cannot parse the file.”The same file still opens normally in Lightroom, so the DNG itself does not appear to be completely corrupted.Workflow:Canon R5 CR3 → Lightroom Super Resolution → DNG → Photoshop 2025 fails to openThis looks like a Camera Raw / file parsing issue between Lightroom and Photoshop.Has anyone else experienced this?
Even though it is checked and has to be seen on the PSD screen and even though I uninstall the photoshop and resinstall it, even though I use the beat too, contexual task bar seems to be some else that I can not reach now :) Is there a solution for that?
This is occurring for me today for the first time. Firefly generative upscale will usually work, but I can’t get Topaz Gigapixel to work at all. The generative upscale menu item also occasionally will be grayed out completely, and restarting Photoshop will make it selectable again. Photoshop version: 27.6.0OS: Windows 11 25H2 26200.8457 P.S. Sorry, just realized I’m posting my reply in the beta version of Photoshop, and my issue is with the public release. Still getting used to navigating the new forums!
In Photoshop’s Canvas Size window, I can no longer reliably use negative numbers to relatively change the canvas size. Yes, “Relative to Current Dimension” is checked. The only way around this that I’ve found so far is to change the units to inches and then back to pixels. Here is a video: I’m using version 27.6.0 in macOS 26.5.
I’m getting Content Credentials message when I am trying to clean my own photos in photoshop with AI through firefly. This will be a major problem and I’ll have to find another platform if it continues. Is there a work around or bug fix for this?
