Starting from version 22.5.2 Photoshop stopped opening some tif files. The issue is related to a previously discovered vulnerability, the escalation of which, under certain conditions, may lead to arbitrary code execution - Adobe Security Bulletin. Important: The problem is not with Photoshop, but with third-party software developers who do not keep track of current TIF specifications A temporary solution to the problem is to convert files in third-party editors that completely update the structure of TIF files (for example, xnView, ImageMagik, etc.); such files can also be converted using the Camera Raw plug-in (via Bridge). We all hope that Adobe can solve this problem and find a way to bring third-party files to modern standard. But I recommend that you independently contact the developers of programs whose files Photoshop cannot open. Notify them of the problem, recommend to contact @J453 using this community. System: Mac OS Monterey 12.2.1 Photoshop Version: 23.2.2 Issue: - I create a rectangle using the Rectangle Tool - I change the size of the rectangle - I duplicate and move the rectangle using Option, Shift, Drag - The duplicate rectangle reverts back to the original size I've attached a short screen recording that demonstrates this issue.

Problem started 2 days ago. Only when attempting to use the Clone Stamp tool. Other tools seem OK. I re-installed Photoshop and reset the tool. No benefit. No changes to hardware or software on PC. Error text "Could not complete your request because of a program error". Also cannot dismiss error message. Have to press Ctrl+Alt+Del to access Task Manager to close Photoshop. Andrew
I have identified a bug Actions utilizing the Select and Mask space in the June 2022 release of Photoshop (23.4.1). Mac OS 11.6.7 (Big Sur) Macbook Pro 2019. i9 Background. My company creates and markets Photoshop actions and brushes, mostly for creating texture-based effects. A number of our Distressing actions contained in multiple product packs have ceased working in the latest release of Photoshop. I have run a side-by-side comparison in the attached screenshot. (Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go back to the 23.3 release so I'm comparing it to CC2021.) You can see that in the latest version, the edge contrast has not been cleaned up by the Select and Mask steps in the action set. When the action runs, these steps trigger a warning popup "Warning: no pixels were selected" then proceeds to skip the step. It should be noted, that the bug only affects the Select and Mask steps when embedded in an action. Performing the same task
从Photoshop2020开始,画板有时会随鼠标移动,请看视频。 Google translate:Starting from Photoshop 2020, the artboard sometimes moves with the mouse, please watch the video. 第一种情况的重现方法:新建一个画板,用移动工具点击画板名称。在画板外点击并移动鼠标(不是点击并拖动,是点击松开鼠标后移动鼠标),此时画板会随鼠标移动一段距离。How to reproduce the first case:Create a new artboard, click on the name of the artboard with the Move tool. Then click and move the mouse outside the artboard (not click and drag, but click and release the mouse and then move the mouse), and the artboard will move with the mouse for a certain distance. 第二种情况的重现方法:新建多个画板,用移动工具选中其中几个画板。然后点击被选中的画板名称并移动鼠标(不是点击并拖动,是点击松开鼠标后移动鼠标),此时画板也会随鼠标移动。How to reproduce the second case:Create multiple artboards and select several of them with the move tool. Then click the name of the selected artboard and move the mouse (not click and drag, but click and release the mouse and then move the mouse). At this time, the artboard will also move with the mouse. 这两个问题在处理画板过程中很容易碰到,并且在Windows和Mac系统下都出现。非常烦人!请快点修
So. I update today. I have simple action which I have been using for many years to supress highlights - in 32-bit image create ajustment layer "exposure" Apply image to mask of this layer Apply exposure to the mask (gamma correction) to separate dark and light in the mask Feather mask modify in exposure layer option "exposure" to -0.3 And now in 23.3 all highlights turn to BLACK SPOTS. Again - i have simple exposure layer with mask, in this layer i change only "exposure" to -0.3 and this turn white color to the black! what [removed]? It breaks all logic. А back to 23.2 and here all works fine. Windows 10 with latest updates.
Spinning Beach Ball with every function on all recent updates since 23.1. I work on large files (over 6G) with multiple layers and have been plagued by this incessant spinning beach ball for the last couple years with updates. The most stable version I have been able to find as of late is 23.1 and that has it's crash issues but at least I am not stuck watching the beach ball throughout the day. With each update remove all prefs, which is a pain in itself to have to reset workspace each time, do a clean install the new version and within seconds the beach ball starts again. Revert back to 23.1 and no issues, except for the annoying crash with brush size 00. PS 23.3.1 iMac 2019 OS 11.6.5 3.6 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 64 GB Same issue with all recent updates since PS 23.1
Experiencing a very strange bug/issue when rotating text in Photoshop. If you're using large text (very large, for typographic posters etc) and use the free transform to rotate the text layer, it does so to a certain point then begins to scale the text down. I tried reverse engineering the problem; rotating smaller text then use the free transform to scale it up, it goes to a certain point then the rotation gets removed. Strangely you can rotate further using the corner handles of a text frame (with the type tool selected). However scaling up still cancels this out. Also tried converting the text to point text, but made no difference. Using the latest build 23.3.1 (previous build had the same issue). Windows 10. 12 core and 64GB RAM. Any ideas what the heck is going on here? Attached a couple og gifs that I hope explain things.
I think this might be a bug, but when shapes from Illustrator are copy and pasted as layers into Photoshop, the resulting group created in Photoshop behaves irregularly. Depending on the position of the group in the layer stack, it gets renamed almost incrementally. If the group is duplicated, it gets renamed to " copy" (if the option is enabled), suggesting the name is not really what it appears to be. Committing a rename on it will break this unusual behavior and it will act like a normal layer group. Steps to reproduce: Create a shape in Adobe Illustrator and copy it. Paste it in Photoshop and choose the "Layers" option. Create layers above or below the pasted group in the layer stack and watch as the group gets renamed autmoatically. Here are some of my system specs reported by Photoshop. Runnng Adobe Photoshop 23.3.0 release on macOS Monterey 12.3.1. "Save as" dialog, "Embed Color Profile" check button cannot be checked on from off.
Check out my screen recording here. I show how Copy SVG is not working consistently.
When trying to open MOV and MP4 files in Photoshop 20.0.1 on my Macbook running Mojave, I get the error message "Could not complete your request because the video file could not be opened". Video file will open in PS19 [Version number added after "latest" in title by moderator.]
Hi, Photoshop has functioned without any technical issues until this afternoon. The first problem arrised when I was unable to save any changes to the files I was editing. Save, Save As or Save a Copy ceased to funchion. This forced me to force quit the program loosing all my edits and start the program up again. It functions returned to normal but only temporary to which the saving glitches reappeared again. When I shut the program down and started it up again I can no longer do any type of editing to my photos. Even opening up my NEF file which automatically opens up in Photoshop v 23.2, this no longer functions. However if I open my NEF file with the previous version it does so without any complications and I'm able to do my editing. I have already done two edits with the previous version without problems, more than I'm currently been able to do with the current version of photoshop. One other observation and I'm not sure if there is any connection, but when photoshop v 23.2 wa
Since Photoshop 23.4 and 23.4.1 "Margin guides" don't use the configured guide color. to reproduce: - open "New Guide Layout..." dialog - make sure that "Preview" is enabled and "Columns" is not cecked - configure "Color" to "Cyan" - check "Margin" Observe: the guides show up in some reddish brown but not in Cyan (this is the bug) - now check "Columns" Observe: all guides show up in Cyan (correct)
Photoshop (23.4.1) Windows 10 Pro Hi. Today I updated to the latest version 23.4.1 and was unpleasantly surprised that the guides in my artboards were the same color as the canvas guides. Naturally, in the previous version of the editor (23.3.2) in the Preferences > Guides, Grids & Slices... I had different colors set for the canvas and artboard guides. The Preferences are preserved in the new version and work correctly when I create new guides in the document. However, everything that was created earlier just rolled back to a single color. I don't know if it makes sense to tell HOW inconvenient and destructive it is. Hundreds of documents with thousands of artboards. Yes, there is a new feature with customizing the color of the guides (which, I think, is the cause of my bug) - this is, of course, great ... But in Photoshop there is no way to quickly select all the guides of a selected artboard in order to somehow (albeit extremely painfully) roll back to the desir
Found a bug in the new photoshop v 21.0.1Copying/pasting adjustment layer crashes the program. Specificaly, copying from RGB image to CMYK image. Before that, Photoshop 21.0.0 wouldn't let paste an adjustmet layer to a different image, so I guess it has something to do with that bug fix. Photoshop 20 does not have that issue ( installed and checked)Using windows 10Omer
Despite seeing this thread addressed many months ago in late 2021, the issue of Photoshop's app freezing on iPads continues. There have been several updates with bug fixes and yet this fairly significant issue continues. There is clearly a problem that requires someone to fix as nothing you try works. Resetting all settings in the app, deleting and reinstalling the app, updating the iPad, turning off WiFi, etc. I cannot use the spot healing tool on a number of imported photos. It seems more of an issue on colour rather than black and white images, but none of these are large files and my iPad has plenty of memory so there should be no issues. After a number of pencil strokes, it simply freezes and the only solution seems to be to close the app, thus losing all edits to date. Very frustrating that as the app evolves with more features, it becomes less usable. I'm sure lots of users prefer to retouch on iPad as the pencil makes it so much faster than working on a laptop. Shame the same i
I started having problem with liquify tool after updating Windows 10 Pro few days ago (small update required by system). Liquify sometimes is working (only on particular images or for layers), but rather is not... Most of the times it wants to sent an Error report and it turns out the whole Photoshop. I tryied to reinstal PS, tried older version, reset preserences and still nothing : ( dont know what esle i can do : (
I am using Photoshop with a Huion display tablet. When using the move tool (holding space bar) my canvas will start snapping out of view off to the right of the program. This doesn't happen every time upon startup of the program but after a while of working on something it will start doing this. After it starts there is seemingly no way to stop it from happening but you can still use the scroll bars without issue.I have also encountered a couple other small issues that are a bit less irritating. The "snap" menu will change sometimes so that 'Snap > None' gets selected and I have to go manually change it again. Also, Photoshop keeps saving CIDFont, CMap and Font Folder folders to my desktop occasionally when saving my work.
Pretty basic issue: Photoshop 23.4.1 Mac OS 10.15.7 Dragging a guide while holding shift causes the coordinates display box to freeze or not display. The coordinates display box returns to functionality after releasing shift. The coordincates box should be visible and functional while holding shift and moving guides.
I updated Ps this morning and since then I've been unable to use the Content Aware Fill. everytime I do I get a pop-up saying "Could not complete your request due to a program error" - I've clicked on the "Learn How To Fix" button and cgone throught he various steps there, but noting changes. I've updated the graphics drivers, restarted the computer, no change. I need to use the Content Aware Fill. Windows 10 64Gb RAM 6Gb Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
when I change shape with the Direct selection tool (A - white arrow) After the massage: This operation will turn a live shape into a regular path. Continue? If you choose: Don't show again the PS crashes.
Versions: All CC versions to current. OS: Confirmed on Windows 10/11, unsure of Mac. Reproduction: Open an sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profiled image Set proofing profile to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 Turn on soft proofing Admire the ugly colour shift For me the expected behaviour is... nothing should change, as the image is sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and therefore soft proofing under that profile shouldn't yeild a change.Workaround: Edit > Color settings > Desaturate Monitor Colors By : set to 0% Now when you enable soft proofing of a sRGB IEC61966-2.1 image with sRGB IEC61966-2.1 as your proof profile, no colour shift manifests. BIG CHUFFING HOWEVER If you do this, your performance at 100% zoom will tank to abysmal levels. Applying a curves adjustment layer, for example, will give you 1-2fps at most, even on a powerful system. Because of the colour shift where I don't believe there should be on
