Camera Raw

Exploring the possibilities of the new Super-Resolution option, I created a few DNG files, and I imported them into Helicon Focus to create a focus stack, as I often do. But the DNG exported from Helicon Focus has the resolution of the original Canon CR2 RAW files that I started with.I contacted their support, and they suggest that the enhanced DNG files in fact contain two images: one with the original resolution, and one with the enhanced (double) resolution. Helicon Focus uses the smaller one, and this is not easily changed. They suggest trying to export or resave the enhanced DNG as DNG, hoping that only the large image will remain.Does anyone know what is going on and how this can be fixed? I've tried exporting as DNG in Bridge and Adobe Camera Raw, with no succes.Helicon Focus' literal answer: "The problem is that the enhanced dng actually contains two dngs - the smaller and the larger one, and the smaller dng is the first one to be saved and the one to be uploaded to HF.At this

Salve, ieri sia Lightroom CC che Photoshop CC (ultime versioni) funzionavano regolarmente, oggi Camera Raw si blocca sia se voglio aprire un file raw, sia se cerco di aprire un jpeg da filtri-camera raw, si blocca comletamente e l'unica maniera è chiudere photoshop con Ctrl Alt Canc, ho letto in post precedenti di risolvere istallando una versione precedente, ma non risolvo nulla, ho disistallato tutta la swite Adobe, compreso Creative Cloud,, cancellate le cartelle in C rimaste Adobe, pulito il registro, reistalato  da 0 ma il problema persiste, possibili soluzioni? Ho anche contattato la chat dato il permesso do condivisione PC, ma dopo 3 ore il tecnico non ha rispolto nulla. Quindi chiedo qui. bonjour,je viens d'essayer la fonction super résolution de CAMERA RAW , ficher CR3(CANON EOS R) de 16,5 Megas , cela dure 5 minutes sur DELL T5810 , et le fichier DNG généré fait 350 megas..... est-ce normal ???un possesseur de CANON a-t-il déja essayé cette nouvelle fonction ? merci

HiI have just got a second screen assuming that I can have it in portrait so that I can see a bigger on screen image for editing portrait photos(Adobe Camera Raw). The problem I have run into is that the tool panels  dont seem to be moveable or float. Also I dont seem to be able to get the panel any slimmer. This is  limiting the size I can get an image on screen and is extremely frustrating. Is there any way to move these items to free up the width of the screen.

I have searched and found nothing that helps. Been using Raw converter for years on my imac.  Works well.Take the same files on the same SD card and copy to a folder on my macbook, using the SAME version of camera raw and ps, all updated, same settings, DOING EXACTLY WHAT I DO ON IMAC that works ok, but for some infuriating reason, Caera Raw tells me that same file does not exist in that same folder.   Someone PLEASE help! I've experienced the latest update of camera raw 13.1 issue where the screen freeze or crash after i did several adjustments on the raw file. Same issue happened when i restart the computer.. pls advice. Tks.

My problem: I have recently changed cameras to mirrorless system.  Now use Canon R5 & R6.  I like to open RAW images via Bridge then into Adobe Camera Raw.  I cannot even load images from my SD card on to iMac hard drive, card does not show any content.  I get the following message "The file ...........CR3 could not be opened. Preview currently does not support this raw file format" If I open up Finder the images are definitely there and I can open one-by-one in ACR. Photoshop is latest version 22.3.  Bridge is 11.0.1.  Camera Raw is 13.2.  Cameras both have latest firmware. I am still using Catalina as operating system (v.10.15.7) as there were usual teething problems when Big Sur launched. Are there still problems of compatibility?  Does anyone have a solution? Robert   

Hi There, I am really sad to see "Select rated' has been removed from the latest Camera Raw update!It was bad enough that we couldnt select a star rating across ll the images open in Camera RAW but now we cannot automatically select ANY rated images. My workflow invloves opening all the RAW images into Camera RAW and then sstarring images for saving or further processing, adter which I want to select the images I have starred to be saved; these would be the images with a 5 star rating, now I have to fo through and Command click on every image to save them as a batch, crazy! what if I had 200 images open and neede to save 135 of them!!!!! now maybe it's been moved somewhere but as far as I can tell this basic select function has been removed.

Hello, I am taking a Photoshop course and the textbook that we have is already outdated (not really a suprise, given how quickly Adobe updates things, though the textbook is the 2020 edition). The problem therein is that the steps it's outlining for a particular assignment aren't aligned properly with the Camera Raw function anymore. In particular, the text is requiring me to select a specific Camera Raw profile that doesn't appear to exist anymore. The text is asking for me to select the "Adobe Landscape" profile. However, when I click the dropdown for the profiles, I see this:I select "Browse..." assuming additional profiles would be available, and this is what I see:For further context, the raw format for this particular file is a Canon .crw raw format. I looked around for the possibility to download the profiles, but as with the last post I made to the community, I'm guessing it's something to do with an update? And yes, my Photoshop and Camera Raw plug-in are both f

I used Windows Creative Cloud to update but it installed v13.1 and but says that v13.2 is installed and there is no way to uninstall - it is not shown in Windows Apps, and delelting its program files folder made no difference.So I went to the actual download page linked in the announcement, and both Win and MacOS versions are still v13.1 - here https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/adobe-dng-converter.html#DownloadtheDNGConverter 

Hi Everyone.Good Day..!I'm pretty much newbie to the photography and ACR.I was trying to install Camera Raw on my Mac. (Tried both 13 and 12 versions) But after the installation cannot find the application but the files in 'Application Support' folder. Cannot start the SW. Please note that I don't have PS or any other photo editing software on my machine. Is ACR stand-alone SW which can run by itself? Or it's only a plugin to the PS. If I can run ACR without PS, how can I do that. DMG file extracting properly and installer is running and SW getting installed properly. But after the installation app cannot be seen in the finder or launcher. Only the files and also cannot see the application file inside the SW folder.Please Help.Thanks Heaps.Kasun.

I posted earlier about Camera Raw and the problem in the new update not working. As Adobe seems impossible to contact now and the Chat link is not working I wonder if someone from Adobe can simply post a link to a download for Camera Raw 13.2 as a solution? I have tried using the update facility and the link in CC  desktop but no success. Simple request-can I have it?

Hey,  I installed the new PS and Camera Raw version but somehow I cannot find the "enhance" button (I use the german version). I tried it now on my PC Version and my MAC Version but on both no Enhance button if i click right on the picture in Camera Raw Filter. What do I wrong? THX Sven

I have a problem within Lightroom Classic (not the first time for this issue) When I ask to edit a .dng in Photoshop I get a message that says that I need to install Camera Raw 13.2 However, under updates it says I have it updated. When I open it from Bridge it states 13.1 at the top How can this be resolved?

Today I was editing photos in the morning. I took a short break for a phone call. When I returned, having done no updates or restart the computer or anything, Camera Raw stopped working. Not a single .CR2 file on my computer will open. When I try to open the .CR2 file in Bridge, my pointer 'loads' for second, then absolutely nothing happens. No error window or crash. Everything else in Bridge appears normal. When I try to open the .CR2 file in Photoshop, it gives me the attached error. Everything else in Photoshop appears normal, and photoshop files can run fine.  I've searched through the community, and none of the previous solutions are working for me. Here's what I've tried so far:* Updated every single app through Creative Cloud. * Completely uninstalled Photoshop 22.2 and re-installed Photoshop 22.3* Completely uninstalled Bridge 11.0 and re-installed 11.0.1* Updated Camera Raw to 13.2 through CC as suggested here* When the previous didn't work, I download

Why can't I erase in bridge? When I click on the red icon where I want to erase, my cursor just shows up as a "zoom" items and I can't erase anything.

Hi there,since upgrading to Camera Raw 13.2 and Photoshop 22.3.0 I'm facing massive lags in both programs. Adobe Camera Raw, usually always fast and reliable, is suddenly showing annoying problems. For example: Using the upright tool to straight out an image (Architecture) with 2 vertical and 2 horizontal lines is completely out of control. The magnifying glass and the lines are not moving synchronal with the movement of my mouse. There are massives lags! The same goes for the zoom tool. When working in Photoshop and making changes, for example in curves, typing in new numbers/values is super slow and lagged. You can even watch the values (and the result to the image) changing with delay. All my software is up to date. Working on macOs Catalina 10.15.7.I'm so disappointed!

I am super excited about the new Super Resolution in Camera Raw. I've been using it for some time on my Nikon D850 DNG files and the quality is really 'super'! I'm using the last version of Camera Raw on a Mac.When I tried to make it work on my old 12Mp DNG files instead of enlarging the image to ratio it is skewing the photos. See attached.Am I doing something wrong or Super Resolution does not work with DNG files derived from my Fujifilm FinePix S3Pro files?

When we work out RAW files in Camera Raw, we automatically get XMP files next to the RAW files, in the same folder where the RAW files are located. So far, so good. However, when I work out a JPEG in Camera Raw, and when I want to save the settings to an XMP file, the default location for the XMP file is "C:\Users\Nicolas Mertens\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings." I would prefer to have the XMP file saved next to the JPEG, in the same folder where the JPEG is located. I know that I can navigate from "C:\Users\..." to wherever I want, but that requires a lot of "travel" to the JPEG location. Is there a way of having the same automation for JPEGs as for RAW files? Thank you in advance.

When I create an "Enhanced" DNG in ACR with double the resolution, the file opens fine in Photoshop, showing the larger resolution (now 7296x5472px). However, the same DNG file, when opened in the macOS (11.2.3) Preview app, or opened in another RAW editor like Capture One 21, only shows the file in its original, unenhanced resolution (still 3648x2736px), even though the file size is now 160MB instead of the original 11MB. Why could that be? I tried this with several RAW formats, always with the same result.

Hello! I'm trying to use camera raw to edit my photos but whenever I try to open the who menu is blacked out. My Adobe cloud says the Camera raw is up to date to 13.2 but when the program opens up (either through Bridge or Photoshop), it does say 11.4.1 at the top. I think this might be the issue so I tried manually installing, which only allowed me to do 13.1 so I did that, but still opens up as 11.4.1 with blacked out screen. How can I solve this issue? 

I like some of the features in the new ACR but am having some major performance issues. When I crop, or use gradient tool ACR on my 2018 Mac Mini slows to a crawl. Using OS 11.2.3 and a Sonnet Puck RX 570 eGPU.      {Thread title edited by moderator}
