Camera Raw

After the update to Adobe Camera Raw 12.3 (under MacOS Mojave 10.14.6), the metadata are saved again as xmp-Sidecar. However, I would like to embed them in the NEF files as before. (my Camera is a Nikon D7200 ... before the Update this worked perfectly)However, I do not find the attitude!

Hi, i'd like to have ACR and PS on the desktop to use them when i want.LR is already on the desktop like Cloud and the mobile version but ACR and PS no.Can you help me?Thanks

Since Adobe changed the layout of Camera Raw I cannot find the eyedropper I used for white balance correction. When color is critical my practice is to shoot a gray card and use that in combination with the eye dropper to correct the colors. There used to be 2 eyedroppers along the top, but no more. Since the format of camera raw has changed, I only get one and it isn't the correct one.  When I click on the one on the bottom right it brings up the one on the upper left, and it's the wrong one.  Where are the other two?  

In my Swedish version of Camera Raw 12.3 there is a false and bad translation in the sharpen tool. Amount in English is called Sharpen  as well as Detail slider is called Sharpen. But since Adobe support isn´t interested I have to live with it?

Hello, I am currently using ACR 12.3.I just lost 3 hours of work on hundreds of ARW files, Camera Raw simply closed itself after a misclick on that little arrow on the side of  the"open" button.No dialog box asked me if I'm ok to cancel 3 hours of work.No .XMP was created, no file was altered. I lost every single change on my pictures.Please do something, like adding a simple dialog box saying "are you sure you want to close without saving files" any time you work more than 5 minutes on your files. If I remember correctly it was the case in the previous versions of ACR.If there is a way to re enable that functionb I'd like to know how. Thanks. 

Hi guys I am using Mac Catalina 10.15 and PS 2020 21.2, and I am unable to pull Raw (CR2) files into photoshop. I receive an error message saying "Photoshop does not recognise this type of file" I was wondering if anyone else has this issue and was able to fix it? (I have uninstalled/reinstalled PS and Camera Raw) I am also shooting on an Canon 80D that is up to date. I have included a screenshot of the SD card which you can view a small preview on and the error message  Thank you in advance! 🙂

We have the Panasonic G9 with the Vlogl firmware upgrade.  Normally use vLog with video, but in high contrast situations, we use vlog on stills to reduce the contrast and keep the shadow detail.On the back of the camera, footage shows no blown highlights and can see shadow detail.  However, when open in ACR, the image highlights are blown and the shadows are under-exposed.  The histogram on back of camera shows plenty of latitude for both.When do we need to do in ACR, to open file correctly?  We would like to make our own adjustments.

Sur les versions anciennes de CAMERA RAW, il était possible de paramétrer le nommage de fichier entièrement en incrémentant une numérotation à partir d'une construction donnée. Si je nommais un fichier A-101, eh bien le système me nommait le fichiers suivants : A-102, A-103, A-104 etc...Dans la nouvelle version, la zone "début de la numérotation" est grisée / non active et il m'est impossible de définir la numérotation à partir de laquelle l'outil doit nommer les fichiers.Est-ce un bug ou bien un paramétrage de l'outil, mais je n'ai pas trouvé d'information dans ce sens dans l'aide ?Merci pour votre aide.

Has anyone had a problem with raw files being hijacked and changed format to on one or topaze plug ins on import if so can you help me please.

For the most part when I hit "auto" in ACR, the suggested adjustment is in the ball park of what I'm hoping for - this other than the white and black end points which are always no where near to clipping and then I have to adjust each of these every time for harder blacks and brighter highlights. With "curves" and "levels" in Photoshop, you can adjust the white and black end points for the auto adjustment. How do I do this in ACR?Thanks in advance! 🙂

What is the path to move presets from an old computer to new computer (PC)?  I previously used:  AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw   and it was under settings

Camera raw has been a disaster since 11.4.  Never works, I can wait more than a minute to open a file. Forget opeong multiple files. It is unusable.  I have played with the graphics card on/off and that has no effect (Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super).  PC has 32 GB or ram, and no spinning drives.  All SSD drives, including NVMe M2 boot drive,  I do not have nor ever have had Acronis installed, which I see could have had an impact.   I turned off my Avast secrutiy siftware, and that has zero impact. I keep trying updates and each time I have to go back to 11.4.   Dissapoitning and frustrating is an understatement.

Is this matter being addressed by Adobe?

For the last... eh... 10-15 years CameraRAW, Bridge and Photoshop although not ideal but never ever during these years was I frustrated this much. My whole workflow is broken completely, all the controls are in unusual places (I wish all those programmers and managers got pedals in their cars swapped overnight! Then they would probably realize what exactly they are attempting to do to Adobe users)Besides inconvenient placement of controls LR-like, the features of zooming and cropping are COMPLETELY broken and slow like snail on one machine with a weak graphics card, and highly inconvenient and still slow on another one (with a great graphics card). Previous version was working great without accelerators, and was convenient like for the last 15 years. Why break what works well???The ONLY solution so far for me is Bridge 10.0.4 in combination with CameraRAW 12.2.1A viable alternative is to use some Capture One that would not help with controls and workflow but give better colors and pres

How to install the previous, classic version of Camera Raw? I don't like the new design! Not convenient!

The Crop tool always resets the aspect ratio to 2: 3 like the original image, while I need to crop into 5: 7 with a large number of images. Leading to each file I have to adjust to 5: 7 every time. Too time-consuming. After the crop is finished, the image does not zoom in full screen, it must be zoomed up again. The parameters of the tools are: Graduated, Radial, Brush, they also reset after I exit them. In short, I made a lot of photos and ACR 12.3 took a lot of my time.

I am shooting on a Panasonic GH5 in RAW. I have been for a couple years and developed and streamlined a workflow with it. I edit from the flat profile, but now Camera Raw appears to be applying some sort of auto-edit that boosts the contrast. I went back and opened some images I'd worked on a couple months ago, and they're still opening fine without any aparent edit. I have gotten a firmware update for my camera since then... could this be a change to the .RW2 format that is now being read differently in Camera Raw? I have checked the profile and it was different than my shots from a couple months ago. I changed that to the same one from before but it's still not what it should be. Here's an example of how Camera Raw is changing my image from the flat base I prefer to edit from.

Please provide me a way to download Camera Raw Version 8.8.

So unfortunately i have updated to the new camera raw and all of my presets are no longer available. i have no clue as to how to add them into the new 12.3 can anyone help? I need to do some serious editing and I cant afford to start from scratch, i had so many presets that i used on a regular basis and im hoping they arent all good for nothing now. Please help.

What happened to it?  I can't make a pano!!!  Is it now elsewhere?  Help!

When I'm working in Camera Raw, in the "basic" panel, it's layed out first with "temperature" and then "tint" followed by the six essentials - "exposure", "contrast", "highlights", "shadows", "whites", and "blacks". When I'm adjusting these I tend to bounce around starting from what needs the most adjustment and then back and forth as necessary until I get the image looking the way I want it too look without clipping or in some cases, with as little clipping as possible. I've often wondered, when the software designers put this together, was there some wisdom in the order of these six adjustments perhaps with the intention that they be adjusted initially in order?...or was the order simply based on what was most often most important.Thanks!
