No, I'm not looking to merge 20 photos at .1 EV stop differentials into one beige image hahah.I shoot real estate, and spend countless hours of my life merging my shots (3 shots, 3EV differences) over and over again for listings.Shift click, Option M, enter, enter. Repeat until crying. Is there anyone out there with a way I could set ACR to automate the creation of those deliciously tweak-able .DNG files? It would be tricky- I couldn't have any extra shots in the folder or else the automation would get thrown out of whack. Something that starts with the first file, and clumps everything into the 3 shot HDR merges, and gives me the .DNGs and the .XMP files?
I've updated the camera software and bridge and photoshop will still not open the images.
When I select a folder with 80 RW2 files, the DNG converter only processes 5 images.Any idea how to solve this?
Hi.I've tried to install CR 9.1.1 on a Windows 7 Prof. x64 machine with CS6 and get the error "Windows 7 and above is needed". Why and what to do to fix it?RegardsTom
The full path is C:/Users/Don/AppData/Local/Adobe/Camera Raw/Cache2NOT Cache, Cache2!The file takes up 8G on my C drive and I really need to either get rid of it or purge it. But going to Photoshop Preferences>Camera Raw >Camera Raw Cache and changing Maximum Size does not affect this file. Neither does Purge Cache. What is this file? Who created it? Who uses it? Can I just delete it? Does ANYONE know anything about this file? Having a LOT of trouble finding any information about it. Thanks.
I recently upgraded to Photoshop CC from CS 6. I have all my ACR presets save to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settings/This is not connected to CS 6, its in the adobe folder. But my presets only show up in ACR CS 6, it will not show up in CC ACR? So how do I move these presets to work in both CC and CS 6?{Thread renamed by moderator}
I have just started having this problem. I am using Windows 7x64. Cannot upgrade to W10 because of conflicts with Adobe and Ps programs.I have 4 Canon bodies, 50D,1DsMKII, 1DX, 5DSr. When I plug the USB cable into the 50D only I get this error:But 50D will download fine to any other camera software. CF card is fine. LCD shows images are there.Any suggestions? Thanks!Dan
With last Camera Raw version and last Windows 10 version (version 1903) I am unable to develop batches of more then 40-50 RAW files without crashes of Camera Raw and Bridge (I am saving as TIFF files).Something better (batches of 80-90 RAW's developed without crashes) if I purge cache and wait ending of thumbnails and preview generation in Bridge before to open RAW's in ACR, but impossible to process more RAW's in a single batch.I am almost sure the issue depends on last Verion of Windows because Camera Raw works perfectly on a smaller PC with the same Camera Raw version BUT with previous version of Window, I have developed batch of 940 RAW's without any problem.Any idea how to fix this major issue? Thanks Marco
Hello,I tried out the lossy DNG format with a lot of pictures. For most pictures I can't find any visible differences. But I found also some pictures with very noticible visible differences between lossless and lossy DNG.It seems that the lossy DNG format has problems with dark pictures with small light sources for examplethe stars in the dark sky or the red lights of an aeroplane in the dark sky.I have an example where you can see red security lights of a great antenna on top of a mountain.Surprisingly with this extreme example the JPG versions looks much better as the lossy DNG version of my source lossless DNG.Here is the cropped JPG from the lossless DNG (file size 10877KB):Between this JPG and the lossless DNG file is no visible difference. And here a JPG from the lossy DNG (file size 13261KB):Between this JPG and the source lossy DNG file is no visible difference. The source of both DNG files was a NEF File from a Nikon D7100.Also interessting is, that for this excample the file size
Hi,I use LR for a while now and I figure out that smartphone photography is mostly forgotten by the LR developers. Only few smartphones get a correction profile in Camera Raw or LR and it's very annoying when it comes to edit raw phone pics.I recently bought the Mate 20 Pro and while it has been in the market for a while now, not any profile exist to correct vignette and distorsion effects. This smartphone is a flagship model among others, but almost none of them got a profile. I've heard about the embargo about this company in the US (I'm from France), but for me it's not a sufficient reason to do it as their clients aren't exclusively American.I don't have the gear and the time to create my own profil and I think it's their job to do it for us as we pay them to use LR.So I would wonder if I can hope more smartphones profiles from Adobe for their products, or are they almost blind about that subject of smartphone photography ?I've published their because I can't figure out how to send
Hi folks, today I recognized a bad performance issue in CR. When I open a RAW file with CR as a smart object and then click on the smart object layer to re-edit the raw file in CR, the performance is really really bad. I've done this for the last years and never got a problem. And until version 11.3 everything was great. But with the new update 11.3.1 this is a nightmare. And yes, I've tested out my graphic processor. Everything fine with that. The problem still exist, even if I switch off the use of the gpu.Anybody else got this problem? Any ideas? Thanks for your helpAchimSystem:MacOS 10.14.5iMac Retina 5K late 2015intel Core i732GB RAMGPU AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4GB
I have been using Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw Version 11.3.0.197, and when applying a present to the DNG files, the thumbnails down the side glitches, and turns either super high contrast black/green in colour, or has this hazy pink look to it.Is there any way to stop this from happening? Or is it supposed to happen?
Hallo, ich würde gerne wissen welche Einstellungen die Vorlage "Kreativ - Warmer Kontrast" bei Camera Raw von Adobe beinhaltet.Kann mir da jemand weiterhelfen?Danke!Mit freundlichen GrüßenPatrick Hauser
Hi. Re. Adobe DNG Converter. There is a problem with the "change preferences dialog box" the whole box does not display and the bottom section is missing - no ok or cancel buttons. See screendump below. Can anyone help?
Hi so i have this problem with my camera raw ‘ photo glitch like the image below . I’ve tried everything like reinstalling photoshop and windows.....https://ibb.co/gDBdBv3
This happens with and without hardware acceleration.I have an i7 7700k and a 1080ti
Nikon NEF files will not download into Lightroom...been working for years, however, I have a new D5600 camera (I read of problems with these two). A new Mac Pro. And new Adobe software...changed from CS5 to new CC... Problem: just spent two weeks in the Beauteus Pacific Northwest and now have 1,553 Raw files that I cannot open. I have been using Lightroom from v1.0 and have just shy of 100K images leading up to last month's trip. I am very good at this, but the things I have tried (downloading into Lightroom and Bridge were met with messages telling me that the new files are not to be read). So here I sit, looking at my new Mac, trying to figure out new software, and remembering the afternoon light on San Juan Island and how it brings up the lush greens and colors of the spring vegetation. Anyone have any knowledge on how to solve this? Thank youjoe holly
Is there a way to move tint and temperature in equal amounts without having to adjust them separately in equal amounts effectively creating a red / cyan slider? Any key I can hold down on my keyboard that will make these two sliders move together?
After the latest update I am not able to activate the lens profile corrector tool.Does anybody now how to solve this issue?Thank you for your kind assistance.
Like most professionals I shoot two cameras simultaneously. Once my selects are tagged in Bridge or anywhere, I load them all into ACR to make adjustments and process them out. Because ACR displays alphabetically, there is no way for me to edit chronologically and have to edit each scene twice, one from each camera because they are displayed at different places in the filmstrip.Let me break it down. Scene 1, outdoors, daylight, ocean scene, boats across the water. Camera B, same shot, different lens. Scene 2, boathouse, indoors, sailors celebrating award, on-camera flash, tungsten filter both camera A and B, as before. Move to scene 3, different environment, same settings both cameras. Now figure that's 1000 images shot over the course of a day between two cameras. Those images (selects) are loaded into ACR. ALL of Camera A displays, THEN ALL of Camera B in the filmstrip based on filename. I can't modify image settings in batches or scenes between with Camera A and B because they are in
Does anyone know if there is a way to view on screen modifier keys (shift, ctrl, alt) in ACR? I have them open on screen in Photoshop so that I only have to tap the button on the screen, but can not figure out how to open them in ACR. I edit with a surface pro, often with only the pen and no keyboard, so it would be super helpful to have these keys on screen without opening a full on screen keyboard.
Good afternoon from England. For a little while i have been processing my photos using Camera Raw in photoshop (opening canon raw files from photomechanic).I recently got Lightroom back up and running and have noticed that the histogram in Camera Raw looks different to the one in Lightroom. Not just the appearance which doesn't matter to me, but the actual histogram information from the photo i have opened is shown differently in the two programs. In my test photo ACR shows some shadow clipping whereas lightroom doesn't. This could make me process a photo differently, in this case brightening the photo when i don't need to.I have attached some reference images. The photo has been processed and the edits are saved to an XMP Sidecar file so everything should be the same in ACR and Lightroom. Any ideas why this is happening?ACR in photoshop:Lightroom:Thank you.
Hello Community. In another thread my question about the zoom functionality in Camera Raw has just been answered. The solution was to turn on graphics processor support in Camera Raw settings. After editing my first image again however, I remember why I turned it off a few months ago. When sliding ANY slider to the left or right while multiple images are selected, Camera Raw creates weird images in the images until I move the slider again (images are flashing). Can anyone help to resolve this issue?I run the latest Version of Photoshop and Camera Raw on Windows 10 x64. It happens with any kind of raw images.
Adobe please combine Lightroom and Photoshop to make an all-in-one photographers' tool. It is infuriating to work on a file in Lightroom and then to edit that file in Photoshop only to lose the previous Lightroom steps / history when the file is saved back into Lightroom.
I'm still using CS6 and ACR 5.0.2.4. Recently I bought a Phantom 4 drone with mini SD card and when I put the mini card into a regular size converter Photo Downloader can't see the card. I thought it was just an issue with the card converter and just copied and pasted the files into a folder on my laptop. Slightly inconvenient but not a huge deal. Then yesterday I purchased two new SC Cards, and my Photo Downloader won't recognise them either. I have no issue at all with my old SD Cards. Just these new one's.Any suggestions?
