Camera Raw

Adobe Photoshop CS4, Camera Raw 5 will not open a .CR2 file from recently purchased Canon EOS1300D.I downloaded DNG converter v9 but this will not install on Mac OS 10.9.5 (currently running), needs OS 10.10 or later.If I upgrade to OS 10.10 or later I risk Photoshop CS4 not running.I downloaded and installed DNG converter v8.DNG converter v8 will not open the .CR2 file (greyed out)Is it possible that DNG converter v8 does not recognise the .CR2 file from a newer Canon EOS1300D or am I missing something in the DNG converter v8 preferences?Does anyone have any suggestions before I give up and buy a Kodac instamatic and a roll of film?Many thanks,Mark

I downloaded Elements 14 and tried uploading my NEF raw files from my D3400 but it says they aren't supported. I updated elements 14 and restarted my computer and keep getting the same message. It says I need Camera raw 9.7 for my D3400 and the camera raw I have is 9.5 but when I try to update it it says I have the leatest version and there aren't any updates. What do I do now?Thank you in advance.

I have still camera raw files that I need to load in color grading softwareI convert the raw files to DNGSome are readable in the color grading software (baselight), while others aren'tI tried davinci resolve & its the same.Of course all work in adobe products.Its appears the certain cameras are the culprit.Nikon nefs from d800 aren't readable but from D300 are readable.Could I be missing something?Any suggestions?thanks,TomT

Hi Adobe, Will you be adding support for the a99ii (Sony camera) soon?I can send you some raw files if you need them.  (Well later today - I'm expecting delivery of my camera this morning)cheers

Problems with Adobe Camera Raw ccWhile using the sliders, I get annoying alternating effects on my image. I first thought the error came from my Wacom tablet but the mouse is exactly the same. Does anyone know a solution for that?

Hi guys!New to the forums and to CC. Just switched over from cs6 due to performance issues.When using CS6 on the latest version of macOS Sierra, I could open like up to 90 files (never really needed/tried more) at a time, make my changes in camera raw, and then open them all into PS...all while listening to Pandora on the same computer!Now, if I try to open more than 40 or so files at a time, camera raw freezes, and freezes anything else on my computer, too. I spent hours on the phone and chat with support last week, they made changes to my settings, but nothing seems to really be different (and I didn't feel like they were really all that knowledgeable).Anyone else have a problem like this, or know a settings tweak I could make? Or is it just a difference between cs6 and cc? I have Elements 11, but the RAW converter cannot read the RAW files from my Fujifilm x30 camera. It's OK with RAW files from my Nikon d90, but not the Fuji!!I am running Windows 10.  Any suggestions please?

Hallo, ich habe Photoshop Elements in der Version 12 und möchte die RAW-Dateien von meiner neuen alpha 7 II bearbeiten. Camera Raw in der damaligen Version kennt diese Camera nicht. Also habe ich mir die neuste Version von Camera Raw bei Adobe runter geladen. Windows hat die Zip-Datei ausgepackt und ich habe dann auf die Exe-Datei geklickt und die Installation der neusten Version wurde durchgeführt, kein Fehler - alles ok. Nun habe ich Photoshop Elements 12 wieder gestartet und wollte eine Raw-Datei der alpha 7 II öffnen: Fehlermeldung - die Camera wird nicht erkannt. So, diesen download-install-Part habe ich 3 mal wiederholt. Habe auch die Creativ Cloud installiert, weil ich erhofft hatte, dass damit der Update automatisch geschieht. Alles kein Erfolg.Bei Adobe hab ich versucht rauszukriegen, ob die 12er-Version nicht mehr unterstützt wird. Konnte dort aber nur lesen, dass sie sehr wohl auch in älteren Versionen garantieren, dass man eine neue Camera hinzufügen kann. Nun bin ich ratlo

If worked with HDR in CC for about a year.  The procedure I use is to select the photos in Bridge (Br), the select "merge to HDR pro."  The window opens that gives opens to remove ghosts and to complete toning in camera raw.  I select the tone in camera raw option.  The "merge to HDR" progress window opens.  Up until recently camera raw then opened and I could make adjustments before the 32bit image opened in the general photoshop window.  Now when I select "open in camera raw" the image then opens after processing in photoshop rather than camera raw, and I get a notice of "camera raw filter is not currently available".  As a note, "camera raw" will function for regular images from my camera (raw CR2 images from a canon EOS 1D Mark IV).  

I always drag and drop several  raw files at once in PS and camera raw opened all the files. still it s like this if I open the directly from Ps , but if I Drag and drop files from other app, like acdsee where all my files have labels or rating , camera raw show me just a file at a time, so I can't multiple corrections on several files at the same time.both camera raw and ps are just freshly updated to the last versionthanksA.

I'm getting this error message (pictured) and just 1 hour ago it was working fine. I have not gotten a new camera. I went and downloaded the "update" for camera raw and when I opened the installer it said I didn't need it. I am simply trying to just open my raw files in photoshop to work. Don't understand what happened!

Is there a limit on the number of presets one can have in Adobe Camera Raw? We sell ACR presets and we have had several customers who have presets already installed, but when they install ours, only some of the presets are visible.

Hallo,ich arbeite mit PSE 15 und habe folgende Feststellung gemacht:Wenn ich mit der Kamera gleichzeitig RAW und JPEG aufnehme, so sehe ich auf dem Monitor so gut wie keinen Unterschied.Wenn ich das RAW-Bild im RAW Converter öffne und anschließend als JPEG abspeichere, ohne irgendeine Veränderung vorgenommen zu haben,also "Wie Aufnahme", dann stelle ich fest, dass zwischen Kamera-JPEG und PSE-JPEG ein sichtbarer Farb- und ggf. Je PSE 14 et je ne peux plus ouvrir un fichier JPEG dans Camera Raw 9.5. Quand je fais "ouvrir avec camera raw", je sélectionne le fichier, ouvrir avec raw et PSE 14 m'indique que le "fichier est introuvable" et pourtant il est ouvert dans l'editor. Purchased Sony A9. Shooting in RAW format. Was trying to open images in Photoshop CS6. Got error message to update camera raw (9.10.1).Followed all instructions multiple times. CS6 still showing my current version (9..1.1.461)any help would be appreciatedMac OS Xversion 10.11.6

I just purchased Canon 1DX Mark II and Photoshop will not open and Camera Raw 9.5 will not install into Adobe Creative Suite Master CS6.I also have Lightroom 5.7 It will not open Camera Raw from this camera. How do I install Camera Raw 6.5Does Adobe CC Photography Photoshop/Lightroom have the appropriate Camera Raw Plugins 9.5 & 6.5 built in?This is super frustrating!

I can't convert raw files from my new Nikon D3400. I am using DNG Converter v9.10 and when I convert the folder, the program says for each file "The file could not be created. How can I convert these files? Thank you!

When I open files from Bridge into ACR the images open with the Adobe RGB color space. My camera is set to use the sRGB space and I would like to use this space when I process them. How can I get get the files to open automatically in sRBG?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.David

I got a new Canon 7D Mkii at the weekend and as my Photoshop CS5 couldn't handle the RAW files I bought Photoshop CS6, but still it would not recognise the RAW files; I downloaded the latest Adobe RAW update and still no joy, CS6 cannot open my RAW files.  I can download the files from the card to my laptop and It sees the jpeg files, but not the RAW ones - any suggestions?
