I am unable to open Sony RX100 v RAW files in Photoshop CS6. The CS6 Camera Raw plug-in is updated to version 9.1.1, and according to Adobe's chart of compatible cameras the Sony RX100 v is supported. What am I doing wrong?
Hi, I've just found a really bad issue occurring in Lr 5 (but also in all other Lightroom versions) under Mac OSX 10.9 with a calibrated monitor: dark shadows (from a value of 20 to 0) are all clipped (pure black with no detail and no textures) while the histogram remains ok, indicating NO clipped shadows at all. This issue afflics also ACR. Photoshop for now is the only software under MAC that reproduces dark shadows correctly: Library Module shows a bit darker and shifted shadows than Ps but acceptable, Develop Module is really bad showing brutally clipped shadows (but you work in the Develop Module right?!). The same problem occurred also in OSX 10.8 but it was related only to LUT profiles, creating a Matrix based profile problems were solved. Now the issue occurs with both Matrix and LUT profiles, v2 and v4. There's no apparent way to make Lr working right. Under Windows no problems at all: Bridge, Photoshop, ACR, Lr (Library Module and Develop Module) show the same correct NOT cli
Loaded SD Card into iMac and resulting DNGs from Nikon D750 show uniformly tilted (at the same angle). When I looked at folders with earlier DNGs, all are now tilted - showing empty pixels. Spent two hours on phone with Adobe with no resolution and only a conclusion that it is an Adobe issue and not a camera or SD issue. When I load the SD card into my husband's iMac, the images are normal - no tilt. I can correct with the offset tool by using Command R and selecting photos with same orientation and correcting those. REAL PAIN. Any suggestions as Adobe said it escalated and no call back. Any suggestions on how to correct. Rep said not to uninstall because he loaded the earlier version and same thing happened. Thanks
I have a new camera that makes RAW files but my computer's only platform is XP series pack 2.I downloaded DNG converter 8.3 which is supposed to be able to run on XP series pack 3.Will it work? Or is there another DNG converter that run on WIN XP series pack2?Thanks in advance for your ideas.
I'm working on a project where we are using Nikon lenses on Canon (5D mark III) bodies. We managed to come up with a way to put the Lens Model in the EXIF metadata of our DNG files and it works great with Zeiss ZF.2 and other manual lenses but have come up with a problem trying to get Adobe Camera Raw to locate a matching lens profile automatically for a Nikon AF NIKKOR 35mm f/2D. We noticed that Nikon cameras use a Lens ID code number but the code for this lens (66) doesn't work when the shot originated on a Canon body.Is there a way to get ACR to recognize Nikon AF lenses automatically when attached to Canon bodies? Obviously we aren't using the autofocus features or any communications between lens and body. The lens information is being saved via Magic Lantern to an MLV file (Magic Lantern Raw Video) which is then converted into DNG frames that contains the EXIF tags for the lens information.Any hints, tips, or even known bugs to pass along?BTW -- we discovered that the list of supp
Does anyone know why when loaded straight into Photoshop Elements 14 I get chromatic fringes, but when viewed with Microsoft Windows Photo Viewer the same NEF file no fringes? Here's a screen shot of the same NEF zoomed in to hopefully show what I mean, with PSE14 to the right. I'm using a Nikon 7200, latest ACR and PSE updated, thanks in advance 🙂

Good morning people. I'm having a problem with my acr. I wonder if anyone can help me. The ADJUSTMENT BRUSH tool is not working but has not been created. Anyone have a solution for me? Information: I installed a trial version of Photoshop CC 2017 The acr and 9.8 that already comes with CC 2017 Another important note, even though I uninstalling it and installing again. Thanks.
Very odd issue i cannot figure out why it is happening.I click to open my RW2 files and they auto open up ACR....i edit the photo in there and save it as a preset and close ACR.I can click that same RW2 file it will open up ACR again and i can select that preset and it looks perfect and i can save it and the resulting image is perfect..But....If i open that same RW2 file, then click on open object, it will open in photoshop itself, i then turn the layer into a smart object, select Camera Raw Filter, i select that same filter i created but the image will look different, and i mean a lot different. I tested to see and save that file and sure enough it is different than using that same filter directly in ACR.I checked and everywhere, both in ACR and in photoshop settings i am viewing and editing as SRGB. I have tried multitude of tests and the results are the same even with other raw files like DNG files but with very little difference but still there is a difference.final pho
Hello! I've been at this for over an hour and cannot figure out where I am going wrong.I got a new laptop so have had to re-download the camera raw reader; however, no matter what I do, my raw files won't open. I read somewhere that Camera Raw 8.6 is the version I should be downloading, however I can't for the life of me find a download link. Some specifics:I have a Nikon D810I am using CS6.I also read that there is a DNG converter? But I don't want to go with this option. Like I said, I was able to edit photos on my old laptop just fine using CS6 without using the DNG converter.Thank you for your help!
At home I have Photoshop CS6 and corresponding Bridge. I have always used Bridge to open images and do initial edits in Camera Raw. Recently I took a position outside my photography company and they have Photoshop and Bridge CC versions. I am having issues with Camera Raw. I am being asked to edit photos that were taken by others and when I try to open in Camera Raw, the image is black and the outline of the subjects in the photo are pixels, similar to a clipping mask or inverse of an image. Is there a setting incorrect? What is wrong? Please help.
Är loppet kört för min del eller hur går jag tillväga?/En desperat Mimmi-ENGLISH:Have som problems with my Creative Suite 4 (yes, some of you may think it's an oldie) and when I reinstalled the program earlier this day, cause I hade som problems with my Bridge, the PS would'nt start as it did before the reintallation........ it says that my RAW is an 5.0.0.178 and as I belive it's quite old? Could someone help me with this issue of mine? How do I do?Best regards,And desperate Mimmi in Sweden
I have already installed PS cc 2014 ,after I installed PS cc 2017 , camera raw is 9.7, but camera raw.8bi in programm files\common files\adobe\plug-ins\CC\file formats is not changed, I wonder where the ACR 9.7 is installed. Even if I delete the camera raw.8bi, ACR 9.7 still can work,
I converted a raw photo to DNG.When I want to open it in Photoshop or the Bridge V2015, I get the error that I have to update my Camera Raw.So when I convert a raw photo to dng, there are still some (old) camera setting in the dng?How can I ride off these (camera) settings?
helloon a calibrated pro screen how come i get color differences between PhotoShop and Camera Raw ?see photo attached(i already tried to re-install evereything)thanks
Ive recently installed camera raw 6.7 and its missing a major part of functionality I use everyday, namely CA correction. The auto CA correction in CR 6.7 is worse than useless and I need to revert to a CR version that allows me to correct CA manually - therefore how do I revert to camera raw ver 6.6 by installing it over ver 6.7 pls?I know this old hat to most PS users but im still on CS5.
Ok, so the way I do my workflow (which I realize now needs fixed), is to import from my camera into DNG's. Then I edit the folder to my liking (all in color) and export into a brand new folder as .jpg's. From there I make the entire folder of edited color photos into Black and White and export as a copy with a new name, so I've got a color and a Black and White version of the photos in the same folder. In my finder window I see the color and the Black and White versions, in their perspective Color and BW, but after I synchronize the folder in LR, it shows all the photos (2 of each photo) in Black and White Only? What is happening? (and no nothing is checked in my import options)
I know it is unorthodox, but I want to get rid of all the dng files I created and replace them with xmp files to go with my original raw (nef) files. Please don't tell me to stick with the dng files, I know what is recommended but I really can't do that...

Hi. I have a new computer with windows 10, I put the DNG codec (the last version is still for Windows 7). Now I can the my DNG pictures on explorateur, Photos or Bridge, but they are not Ok (fuzzy). I think it's a trouble with the Codec because my Nikon RAW files (NEC) are fine. Do you know how I can make my pictures look nicer on Widows 10? Merci
Sorry if this is a really dumb question, but I cannot find anywhere on the web the difference between ACR and Bridge. Is it the same thing? I'm switching over to ACR/Bridge from LR and would really like to know the difference between the two. Thanks
I know this has been posted already: I am opening a JPG file in ACR (9.7) and when I am Done, I get"Unable to save the raw conversion settings. There was an error parsing the file."The most credible explanation is here:Re: error parsing the file--Camera Raw It mentions some potentially non-standard EXIF content which gives trouble to ACR (even though every other program I tried has no issues reading the EXIF content, as far as I can tell). In another post someone suggested that "Adobe is pretty strict about adhering to standards and not known for bending over backwards to try to recover if something's out of place.":Re: Parsing problem in Camera Raw The curious fact is that the JPG file has been produced by... Photoshop CS6 on a Mac (I am on a Windows box). Would that be the source of the problem? In any case it seems that if it is a problem of someone not following the standards, it is an internal Adobe problem....I can send an example of a problematic JPG to someone at Adobe, i
I have a 5D Mark II, MacBook Pro, all updated versions of LR, PS, Bridge, and as of last night I now have DNG Converter 9.7, as well. I imported my raw images using a card reader like I always do. My CR2 raw images cannot be opened anywhere!Trying to troubleshoot I put the card back into my camera to check out the images and it gave me a question mark icon and a message reading "Cannot play back image."What's going on? I appreciate any help you guys may have for me!
I am unable to reopen a .PSD or .TIFF file in the Camera Raw plugin after I have made changes to it. I can open the file in the Camera Raw Filter, but it doesn't show the changes I made. At one time, we were able to reopen files again after they have been worked on and go back into Camera Raw and make more changes, but that seems to have disappeared. Or has it and I just can't find it?This is what I'm doing, when I open a .CR2 file in ACR, I make changes to it, such as noise reduction and color. I then hit Open Image and it opens in Photoshop. I work on the image and occasionally find maybe a highlight is too bright and want to go back into ACR where I adjusted it before. But when I open the Camera Raw Filter, the changes I made to the original .CR2 are not there. I used to be able to open the file again in Camera Raw where it shows me the changes I made and can modify them more, but I can't find it now.Any help would be appreciated. I tried the Adobe Chat, but they weren't able to hel
