Hello! On Windiws 10 platform Photoshop 24.1 starts normally, but when I try to open any raw file, it freezes. Presumably this is due to Camera Raw 15.1.1.After reinstalling PS the problem is the same.Someone faced a similar problem? Is it possible to down grade the Camera Raw?
If I convert RAW images of my newly purchased Olympus OM-1 to DNGs, the distortions of the lenses (last used: M.Zuiko 12-100 and 9-18) are not compensated in Lightroom. However, the same lenses are corrected in LR if I shot with the E-M 1 II, regardless of whether I edit the original ~.ORF files or shots converted to ~.DNG.used version: 15.1.1.1329 I attached an original .jpg out of the camera and an image converted as described
Hi, I have a complicated action workflow I am trying to fine-tune. In one step, a smart object layer is opened in ACR (in Photoshop). When it opens I click on the three dots (...) on the right-hand side panel and select "Reset to Default". Then I click ok and the action continues to run. Here's my question. Since I will be doing this one simple step repeatedly for many different images, is there any way to automate it?
Starting with Camera Raw 11.2, the cursor doesn't always change to reflect the tool in use properly. Here is the sequence to create the problem: Select the adjustment brush (keyboard shortcut K) Move an adjustment slider (example, Exposure); value box is highlighted in blue. Use adjustment brush on image. The brush cursor turns into the default arrow, and the size of the brush disappears. Subsequent uses of the brush act normally. This ONLY happens when an adjustment slider is moved. This same cursor behavior is true for all tools (straighten, crop, etc), if an adjustment slider is moved prior to moving the tool. This is irritating, especially when trying to use the adjustment brush. I'm on a Mac, OS Mojave 10.14.4
I was having a bug when using the latest camera Raw 15.11.1329, modifications where not rendered and once i returned to photoshop the software was unusable (couldn't zoom the image, just save).- I re-installed the old camera raw but it did not solve the issue- I had just updated my Nvidia studio driver so I tried reverting back - After reverting the driver, I tried to do exactly the same modifications in camera raw and it everything works Adobe, you should check compatibility with the latest studio drivers
How do I hide the little blue and white brush icon that's in the way of my adjustments of the bird's eye? I Googled and searched the Adobe manual but no luck. I get the appeal of having a brush in the way to remind you that you're using a brush, but I also need to see what I'm doing. Thanks!
I started a thread on this a few years ago I think but I can’t locate it so I’ll start again. I’m also not certain if this is even the right forum. If it is not, please tell me where this should go. I’ve been struggling with this for several years now and I’ve concluded that maybe the best option for archiving for me is to save all my images as JPG. Let me explain. Initially I was happy about archiving Nikon Raw files (NEF) as DNG (Camera RAW). Anything I shot as JPG will remain in that format. I made my corrections, crop, and other adjustments so that the images look very close to what I would hope if someone other than myself were to open the file. I did all this in Bridge>Open in Camera RAW… then saved file(s) as DNG. I then deleted the NEF files. All fine so far. I then found that if I open one of these saved DNG images in something other than Photoshop/Bridge i.e. Affinity, Apple Preview, Apple Photos etc., none of my changes are reflected in any of those p
Are there any free alternatives to Camera Raw?I'm using Adobe Bridge and for some reason, Camera Raw used to work, but now it's not. Is there any free software that does exactly what Camera Raw does, including updating the adobe bridge file directly and indicating that the file has been edited?
I'm totally new to all of this and I'm having an issue trying to find Camera Raw as well and it seems like it would be part of the Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud Suite as well. It doesn't seem to exist in my App Store.
This is the first in a series of articles to help you get the most impact and quickest response to your post. Consider this typical (but made up) Adobe Community Forum post’s Subject Line: Getting your post viewed by as many people as possible to give you a swift resolution to your issue is helped with a quality Subject Line. A Community Expert scanning a long list of other posts may not consider opening this one. Give your post a chance by tuning your Subject line. Eliminating redundancies: The words ‘bug’ and ‘Lightroom’ should be left out. They consume limited space and are already contained in the header at the top of the forum. You are in the Lightroom Classic space and have chosen to post in Bugs instead of Discussions or Ideas, so it isn’t necessary to restate that. Non-standard Punctuation: “ALL CAPS” and non-standard punctuation hinder readability and/or searchability. Most people find posts by searching and scann
Hi,I have just returned home after three weeks away. Camera RAW had an update available and I downloaded it as I normally do when Creative Cloud suggests an update to an app. Now, I am having a lot of errors when saving my CR2 files to high res JPG through Camera RAW. I have shut the computer down and restarted, but am still having the same issue. Thanks.
Is there a preference or way to turn off "Show Overlay (auto)" for masking? I find the visible mask only helpful when touching up a mask, so manually toggling off the visiblity is an extra step for every single RAW file I edit. The only thing close to that I see is clikcing the three dots to the right of it and turning the brightness all the way down, but I'm not sure if that is leaving a visible mask area preview with darkness that will mess with my editing. Thanks.
I am trying to firgure out why 15.1 camera raw editor has become basically unusable. When I load a large number (200-400) of images to edit all I see are grey boxes with yellow triangles. I honeslty cant belive I pay for this garbage. Things I have tried -> Purged caches, loading smaller amount of images, reseting camera raw settings and so on. I have tried all the "solved" silutinons suggested in these forums. The reason why this is so annoying is because I am on a brand new computer too. There are no more reason for this program to perfomr so poorly. Also if anyone has other non adobe photos editing programs please suggest them as I would love to not have to pay for this junk.
An update to Camera Raw is now available via the Creative Cloud Desktop App. Version: 15.1.1 contains new camera support and bug fixes Notably: https://community.adobe.com/t5/camera-raw-bugs/p-output-appearance-of-hdr-images-varies-on-different-gpu-settings/idi-p/13417871 If you do not see the update listed use the KBSC [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ] to refresh your CCD App.
There is a huge amount of wasted space in the current ACR interface-- rating, zoom etc. buttons should be merged with the bottom bar (see pic, red circled areas moved to green circles). The bottom bar is also about 3x too tall and should be shrunk. This would give more space to actially look at the photo being edited, instead of having all the wasted blank space that is currently in the interface.
Enhance Details function is great but it seems unneccisary to have to always create the DNG file (which is 5x larger than my raw files and I will just end up deleting to save space) when it seems that the processing could be done at the same time as I'm saving images. It would be good to have a checkbox in the Save Image dialog to acheve this, but also keep the current functionality in the filmstrip view to output a DNG.
I have moved mulitple folders that contain XMP files to the preset folder on Bridge, to the settings folder on Camera Raw, even using multiple years verisons of bridge without any luck of getting Camera raw to let me import them, see them or use them. I typically do not use lightroom but I did try to see if the folders would upload there- they did- instantly so i know the files work, I just can not get ACR to show them, import them or use them. Help please. Thank you,Crystal
Photoshop v20.0.07 & v 21.0.1macOS 10.14.6 I'm editing using the Camera Raw filter on a smart object, and after switching to another application and then coming back to Photoshop, I can no longer use Photoshop and must force quit without saving. It looks like a problem with misplaced focus, whereas normally the Camera Raw filter dialog would be in focus/in front and usable, instead the progress bar dialog for the Camera Raw filter is in front. Clicking the cancel button on this progress bar dialog does nothing (makes the OS error sound), most actions in the Camera Raw dialog dont work as everything is greyed out and this window does not have focus — I can only click and drag to zoom, or click and drag the histogram. I cannot click anything in the Photoshop application window either. This priginally happened in v21 so I switched to v20 but now it has happened there too.

Sony ILCE-7C профили камеры не правильно отображают цвет в Camera Raw в сравнение с родным конверторм или в сравнение сторонними коныертарами
Hello, I want to improve a jpg image. The picture is to be a 5 m poster. I've heard that goes with Camera raw. There is probably the function "improve" or "super resolution" in camera raw. However, I do not find this anywhere.I hope you can help me. I have now updated Photoshop to the latest version:Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.1.0 20221206.r.166 be4691b x64Inside i choose camera raw filter In Camera raw 15.1. i can't find the function: What is wrong or where can i find it!? Thank you very much Kristina
Seen a number of old posts on this issue (2020 and previous) with broken links to "solutions."Everytime I open a new RAW file some default settings are applied in the options I did not choose.I change the settings to what I want or zero everything outClick the three dots on the right side for "More Settings"Click "Set Raw Defaults" and Save but when opening a new image it still applies the old, mystery defaults I don't want. Super frustrating and time consuming. Thanks for the answer.
