Camera Raw

I've noticed that every time I use the dehaze slider the white balance seems to be thrown off. 237, 237, 237 becomes 236,237,238 or 235, 237, 239. And no matter what neutral color I click I can never get matching numbers. It is only by setting the dehaze slider to zero that I can get a "true" neutral again. Curious what's going on with this? Robert  

Is there any way to run two versions of ACR on a MacBook Pro (Mid 2015)/MacOS 10.14? I currently am using Photoshop CC 2018 but would not mind installing the latest version in parallel (in my earlier experience using two PS versions is possible). Creating a second user does not seem to help. The reason I’m asking is that I prefer the workflow of ACR 12.2 but it does not fully support my new camera. Thanks for any suggestions!

The changes made to the histogram in the newest version of Adobe Camera Raw make it hard to see because the colors are pale and the lines, especially on the edges, are so narrow. The gray colored background in the histogram is not the best color for trying to see the new format. Are there any plans to revert back to the previous histogram or is there something I as a user can change to make it easier to see?

Hi, After trying to figure out how to rename a camera matching profile in Lightroom, I attempted to do so in Camera Raw instead. I am using the latest version of Photoshop and Mac OS and have 2 issues now: First, I am unable to rename the profiles. If I open a raw file in Camera Raw, and click on the profile, I can see a section for "Camera Matching" profiles. If I right-click on the images, even when pushing on "option" there is no option to rename an individual profile. But, if I right-click on the "camera matching" header, I see an option for "Rename profile group." I don't know if this option would help me rename a profile, because clicking on "rename profile group" does nothing. No popup window opens at all. Nothing happens. Also, this seems to create a bug, which is that after I click on the option button, NONE of the other options (manage profiles, import profiles and presets, etc.) work. I must completely close Photoshop and reopen it for thos

Hello !There is my problem, i worked on a picture in lightroom and exported it in DNG.When i open it in camera raw, all is ok, the same as in lightroom: and when i open it in photoshop there is a big difference of sharpness and textures: I use LRC and PS since a long time and i never had the problem before.Can someone help me please? Thank you !

when I press the shift key it changes into auto mode automatically andit only makes it hard..

The brush tool in ACR is not working. It seems stuck on the magnify tool and I can not select the brush or eraser. Is there some sort of setting I accidentaly changed? Also the healing brush acts the same. I click on it a a zoom box appears. The brush or the healing icon is always grayed out.What gives?

Hello everyone, I downloaded the test version of Photoshop Elements 2021 to use my camera's .dng profile on a bunch of raw images (.raf). Camera Raw 13.0 comes pre-installed with that version and I managed to open the images with it and chose the .dng file (didn't notice any differences but the histogram changed a bit). The save options only list ".dng" and ".DNG", the other file extensions (like jpg, tiff,... - as shown in this video) are missing. How do I now export the images as .tiff files, using my camera's profile?

After updating to acr 13.3 a message saying "Analyzing" keeps popping up specially when I use tools like geometry guides or select thumbs. So I have to wait the message to disappear and select the tool or thumbs again. It is a matter of miliseconds but the whole job takes longer because of these delays. And I still don't know what is being analyzed, it never happened in previous versions. Is it analyzing my credit card?  

I get an error message every time I try to open a RAW CR2 file and Camera Raw does not start. I had to install the old version 12.4 to get it to work.

Hello, when I launched the Camera Raw filter through Photoshop a splash screen appeared on my laptop to notify me of all the upgrades. I had Photoshop on a second monitor and because the splash screen couldn't be moved or scrolled I could not access the button to close it causing me to have to restart my system just to move forward on my project. 

The default setting for my cursor in reviewing images in Camera Raw was to zoom in on every click, centered on where my cursor is in the image.  Now I get a Zoom in on the first click, but then it zooms back out, so I have to use key commands to get my desired zoom.  I do a lot of macro photography where I need to blow up one area in a burst-modes series of images to quickly determine which one has the desired element in sharpest focus.  I do not want to set a single zoom setting for toggling back and forth because different images differ in what zoom is needed.  How can I recreate this desired behavior?

Hi there,I am having the same issue. I've read several forums around.So far i tried to:- update displaydriver- uninstall a lot of crap (as it might interfere with the processing)-dis, and enabled GPU processing- tried RAW images, .tiff files, .jp(e)g files. all give "same" artifacts - tried switching bit depth and color spaces preferences in ACRIt cannot be related to storage (the preview also shows artifacts) so i doubt it is a .dng issue as nothing has been saved to file, during preview! (but ofcourse i can be mistaken)custom built win10 pro computer 32GB RAM, everything is processed in RAM as i use a RAMDISK.core-i7 CPU, intel HD530 cardcamera type is Canon5D4 (CR2 RAW files)

The latest few updates have absolutely throttled Camera Raw. Here are just a few gripes I have with it that have destroyed my workflow.In the most recent update there is an annoying "analyzing" message that pops up. It's only up for a brief moment, but when it's up you can't click on anything (such as trying to go to the next photo you want to edit.) Speaking of going to the next photo, I keep accidently clicking the little pop up download button on the thumbnails so I then have to exit out of the Save Options box. Why can't we have the old button back? The worst offense by far is the crop tool. There is a full second delay whenever I use it which results in jittery operation. The amount of time I spend cropping has probably tripled since the older versions. And then there's the ridiculous number of bugs in the program. Like when I go to the next photo and it's randomly zoomed in or pushed to one side of the other, or when I'm using spot removal and I have to go bac

Preciso liberar espaço na minha unidade C e descobri que ... / AppData / Local / CameraRaw / Cache2 está consumindo 15 GB. A maior pasta consumindo espaço no disco C:\.O que são estes arquivos?É possível deletá-los? Não sendo a melhor solução deletá-los, é possível trocar de diretório, para liberar espaço no drive C?Socorro!  

HiI have PS CS6 Extended. I cannot open any of the cr2 files. it shows that I have Version 7, but as I tried to update it - stays the same. The error message: "if you are attempting to open a raw file from a digital camera make sure you have the latest Camera Raw update installed via help > updatesThe error message redirecting me to https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.htmlI did go to an update and it installed some apps like Camera Raw and Bridge, but still no luck opening cr2 files  Please help

Nikon D5100 + D7500 beide Cameras sind hinterlegt, oder auch Handy Dng-Dateien öffnen, auch keine PSD- oder Tif-Dateien, und keine Smart-Objekte.Nicht aus Lightroom, nicht aus Bridge und nicht direkt aus Photoshop.Fehlermeldung: Der Befehl -Camera Raw-Filter- konnte nicht verwendet werden, weil ein Programmfehler aufgetreten ist.Alle Programme sind auf dem aktuellsten Stand.Hoffe immer auf die nächsten Updates, aber so langsam schwindet die Hoffnung.   

I just installed the new Camera Raw this morning, and I have to say it is very nearly unusable. I'm trying to make 14 raw files look a lot like each other. Switching from one to the other is almost impossible. Click on one file, look at it, click on the next file and it takes, I'm not kidding, at least 2-3 seconds for the file to appear in the working window. Is this a bug? How do I go back to what I was using yesterday? Thanks!

I rented a Canon 7d mii, show in raw and now I cannot view the images.  I get a pop up box that says, "Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw."   YIKES!  How can I fix this?    I've installed the lastest updates.   Andrea     {Thread title edited by moderator}

I have some trouble with old FujiFilm raf Raws from the S3 & S5.Only one site is doubleing its resolution, but not the other, like 2000x6000 and not 4000x6000.That ends in an very strange 1:2 format.Can some one help me out with that? Thanks and regards

Like the title says.  Opening image in Photoshop (RAW set to launch.)  When Lightroom is also open, there appears to be a graphics conflict, and lose the top Photoshop menu and must kill it in Task Manager.  Additional info: I occasionally see notices it's shutting down graphics acceleration.  But so far it all seems to be working properly when I close Lightroom first. Major workflow pain. But super resolution is great.

Hello, when i was recently using and correcting my picture with camera raw, there was an active button called: REPAIR. Thanks to this button i get avoid having some spots overburned. Pleas, tell me where is the botton now? I cant find it. I use ps 2020 and ps 2021.

Have a selection of 25 images open in ACR. Want to sync edits from one to the rest. It doesn't appear that Rotation is an edit that can be synced. Am I missing something? 

Is it better to use SR before editing a file? Or is it OK to edit first and enlarge second?
