Camera Raw

I am also having problems with Camera Raw freezing, but I think under different circumstances. It loads a raw file just fine, it runs at speeds I consider normal, it will open and run Photoshop just fine. I have the latest updates for Photoshop CC, and the latest updates for Win 10. However,  at some point in the edit the entire computer will suddenly freeze without warning. It doesn't happen right away, doesn't always happen before I am done and have moved the edit to Photoshop, but I get the feeling it will always freeze if I continue the edit in Camera Raw long enough. Intricate and numerous brush strokes or movements of sliders may increase the likelihood of the problem occurring. It does not happen if I let the computer sit idling with a Camera Raw edit session open. It never happens in Photoshop itself. I ran this same Win 10 / Photoshop setup on the same hardware for a couple of years without any problems. The Camera Raw Freezes started two or three months ago. With so many

Beim Versuch eine CR2-Datei zu öffnen (auch aus Bridge heraus) folgt die Fehlermeldung "Der Vorgang konnte nicht ausgeführt werden, weil Photoshop diesen Dateityp nicht erkennt." Das "tolle" ist, vor 1-2 Tagen ging es noch.   Was kann ich jetzt tun? Mal wieder zurück zur alten Photoshop-Version? Ich muss dringend Bilder bearbeiten. So was ist einfach nur "nervig"!

Hello,there are quite some sudden crashes occuring, when working with rather large RAW files in Adobe Camera Raw, especially when making to much use of the retouch tool (ACR v. 14.0.1.1952, Mac OS 10.15.7, MacBook Pro 16" [2019], 32GB Ram).So I really have to save back changes to XMP/DNG frequently. However, that option is burried in the extended menu and I'm wondering, if there is a shortcut for it (it's not noted in the menu though). That would be very, very, very helpful.

Hi!Recently discovered I lost a bunch of photo's from a specific shooting day. I tried to recover them using Disk Drill and ended up with these files: (see photo)I can't seem to open them 😕😕 My laptop tells me they're unreadable...they're around 45MB each and have the .cr3 at the end so there should be a bunch of information in them, can someone help me with this?

In the ACR color range mask, I can't expand the range by using Shift + click to add samples as suggested in the text under the Refine slider. Likewise, once the color range is selected, I can't click in a different spot to cancel the original selection and make a different selection. The cursor changes from an eyedropper to an arrow once the original selection is made. I've tested this using ACR 14.0. I've tested this on a 2020 Mac Mini M1 Running the lastest MacOS and on an iMac 2012 running Catalina 10.15.7. 

Here's what I do: Open a photo in Camera Raw (version 14.0.1.952 on Windows 10 in my case)Highlight the numeric value of one of the adjustments' input boxes (e.g. Exposure) with the mouseIf my mouse cursor happens to be anywhere near that adjustment's slider, an animated popup shows up to tell me what the adjustment means, and it takes the focus away from the input box before I can enter anything. The tooltip should be suppressed if the input box has focus, or give the user a way to disable the tooltips altogether in the preferences. This makes editing very frustrating, as I have to keep clicking (or tab over) to the input box until I can enter a value.

I have been using Photoshop for 19 years, since version 5.5 in 2001, and I have never suffered so much with any update as with the new masks mode in the Camera Raw 14. A month has passed since I tried to use the new Camera Raw plugin, and I already understand that it is simply impossible to work. Yes, of course, with the new update, the plugin has more capabilities, the work process does not speed up. I really ask developers to give the ability to use legacy mode for the color and luminosity masks. Otherwise, I see no point in subscribing and such innovations.Maybe there is an option to install the old plug-in Camera Raw 13 on Photoshop 23?Because using the new mask mode once is not a problem, but working with a lot of masks in the new mode is just a nightmare. Thanks

Hi, I'm having a color managment issue with my Canon R5 & RF 24-70 lens. My editor/post processer of 7 years sends me jpegs that look washed out, missing reds, flat, etc. Everything looks good on her end and on my graphic designers end, so I figured it was my screeen (althougth all of us are on calibrated imacs, using the same color profiles, etc and same version of photoshop and bridge).For the first time in 20 years, I've gotten some complaints and comments from clients regarding the color. I recently started printing orders for clients and the prints match what I'm seeing on my screen (washed out colors, little to no reds, flat, etc) . Adobe escalated my case and said a senior tech would call me muliple times and never called. I finally spoke to Canon yesterday and they told me about an issue they are seeing some R5 or RF lens users involving adobe. I'm not techinical, so here's what I heard them say:"Lens correction data is shifting color profile" and they recommend remoing the

When I download JPEGs and do some basic edits in Camera RAW, the first time I try to open them in Photoshop, it says it doesn't recognize the file. If I open them in Camera Raw again and then open in Photoshop for the second time, it will work. Anyone else having this problem? Not super serious, just really annoying. I have the most current version of Photoshop. Updated a couple days ago.

What happened to metadata info in Adobe Camera RAW version 14? It used to show just under the Histogram. Did it go elsewhere? Has it been removed?   Sad....

With update CR 2022 the cutter icon disappeared from the control panel. Can you tell me how to restore it?

hello, i have new drone MAVIC 3. and when i try to open DNG with photoshop and camera raw i have really bad result . never see that before. It's like camera raw was not ready for this new DNG   someone have this MAVIC 3 and camera raw and see the same thing ?

I recently purchased a new comuter using Windows 11.  I installed Photoshop 2022 with Camera Raw.  The crop tool in camera raw does not work.  When I click on the tool icon, and then click on any part of the photo, a small rectangular portion on the photo is selected and displayed.  I cannot "grab" and move the sides or the corners of the photo to crop the image.

I have adobe cs6, which version of the camera raw plugin should I download?

I am working with ACR 14.0, and the mask pins don't show.  I need to move around the mask to get it in just the right place, only the pin isn't there, and I have no way to move the mask around.  Can anyone help?

I find that if I click on the icon for the adjustment tool in the Masking panel the tool pin (& color overlay) reappears to be able to move the 'Pin'. And for a Brush adjustment- the pin is now a 'Brush'! Hover the mouse cursor on the 'Brush' pin to activate a 'move'.  

hey something seems up with the adjustment brush in camera raw - no longer functions as it used to - have just upgraded to PS22.4.2

I have custom brushes for portraits like brightening eyes, skin, teeth, etc. It was quick and easy to use the same brush from image to image. However, with the update, I'm finding I have to repeat several masking steps for each image. I need to keep the same settings as I work through my images. Is there a trick to this? It's very time consuming the way I'm understanding it currently.

CR 14.0.1 Maskier-Pinsel-GeschwindigkeitLiebe Community,seit CR 14 bei mir installiert ist, spielen zwei Werkzeuge "verrückt": der "Makel entfernen" Reparaturpinsel arbeitet mit unterschiedlichen Geschwindigkeiten, mal schnell, wie immer, mal extrem langsam (der Cursor verzögert z.B. extrem, wenn ich ein einzelnes Haar damit nachmale ...)Das zweite Werkzeug ist im Maskieren-Tool der Pinsel, der Anpassungen im "automatisch maskieren-Modus" oft mit 20 - 30 sec Delay ausführt und auch im "normalen" Modus (nicht automatisch maskieren) selbst bei kleineren Anpassungen oft 10 - 20 sec Delay hat! Je größer die Bereiche, desto langsamer das Werkzeug.Nach dem Update auf CR 14.0.1 ist es auch nicht besser geworden.Ich arbeite mit 2 unterschiedlichen MacBook Pro - am 2015-Modell funktionieren diese Tool manchmal besser und schneller, als am 2018-Modell!Das sind die Spezifikationen meiner Macs:     

After updating CR to 14.0.1 I can´t checkbox lens profiles, the profile is "missing" CR says. I tried Canon 16-35 mm and Canon 24-70 mm standard lenses that always worked fine before the update. I use WIN 10 Pro.

I got a new computer and updated to the new camera raw and photoshop. When I open a photo in camera raw the window is too big for my screen. I have toggled the full screen (f), I have tried manually resizing, and I have tried changing the resolution to 125 instead of the recommended 150. ( which that works but the text is sooo tiny. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks! 

Just updated PS, CR and Lr to latest version and looking forward to the new masking select subject option in all versions. None of the 3 programs work with the Object finder, I get an error message in PS "could not complete your request because of a program error". Its seems stragne that is wont work in any of the 3 programs, I have checked the system requirements and although not a new desktop it meets the requirements for PS. Any suggestions ??
