does anyone have a raw editor profile for the canon 14-35mm RF lens?
While using Camera Raw Filter or ACR you can use brush or gradient tool and zoom with holding CTRL and mooving mouse left or right. But for zooming in PH you have to use CTRL+Space to use zoom with mouse movements so you get used to hold space with CTRL most of the time. The problem is when you are in ACR or Camera Raw Filter and using Brush or any other tool and trying to zoom and fogot that you should NOT press Space and you hit it and as soon as you release the brush tool or something it switches to a hand tool! And to deactivate hand tool you need to press on a hand tool and then the zoom tool activates automatically when you move cursor on an image window! You need to hit zoom tool to deactivate it! And only then you can return to brush tool and continue working! And all this you need to do many times because you can hit space a number of times while working with different tools in Camera Raw Filter! Please fix this as soon as possible. It's really destructing. I wrote about this pr
Hey everyone! I recently faced the problem that my camera raw is running extremely slow. It takes the program roughly 2-5 seconds to react each time I change something. One month ago everything was perfectly fine and running smoothly. I have an iMac from 2017 and am running the latest OS 11.6. Also, all my Adobe programms are up to date. I have no idea what has changed about one month ago as the problems came in an instant. I didn't change any settings or similar. Thanks beforehand for any Help! c:
Hello everyone,I´ve been having this issue for some time now, I´m not sure whether it has to do with an update or if I´m just too blind too fix it.In the past, when I imported photos in ACR using the "Import Photos from. . ." window, once I had entered the settings, for example destination folder, copyright info etc., the software remembered these settings for the next import. Now for some time, I always get the regular default window where I then have to re-enter all my values again. I can´t seem to find a way to save my settings, can´t see a checkbox anywhere -- am I really that blind? I´m using Adobe CC2021 (latest version, automatically updated) on a windows 10 Pro desktop, my current Bridge Version is 11.1.1.185 any help appreciated,Heiko
How do I increase the font size of the menu items, can hardly read them, even with my glasses on.Thanks
Hi there! I have a question about saving PS edits. Is it possible to open an image into photoshop from ACR and edit it then save it and be able to view the image in bridge / ACR with said edits? Basically I want to be able to edit ACR, open a few files in PS that need tweaks, e.g skin and then be able to batch export all the RAWS with edits from Bridge, so I don't have to save the images that needs PS edits seperately. Can it be done? Thanks.
I went to Library > Application Settings > Adobe > CameraRaw > Settings and put a folder full of .xmp files there. Those presets are not showing up in my Profiles section of Camera Raw. Does anyone know why this is?
It is rather strange to put this into this forum as a request or a subject to discuss, but it seems the ADOBE way.Until some time ago, I could change the image size in Camera Raw in the specs with a short- just below the image. You still can. What is no longer working today is a preview in Camera Raw based on this image size change. It was removed with a new version, or as I see it, somebody killed it by mistake. This little feature entirely made sense. I either preview images I would adjust for web in a small pixel size or interpolate pictures for print and adjust the noise level in Camera Raw. All this mainly on many images. Now we have to open each image to see how the adjustments translate to the needed size.PLEASE ADOBE....BRING IT BACK!! THX
Hello everyone. I'm not the most tech savy guy, so struggling to figure out why my custom brush tool doesn't seem to be working properly in the camera raw filter mode.Normally, I can select the brush, adjust the sliders, and then pan the brush wherever I want it to work. However, now I get this small square box and when I release the mouse button it zooms in. I can't access the brush.I'm sure it's a simple fix, but I'm just not seeing it. Appreciate any help!
Both Photoshop and Lightroom Classic seem to have difficulties handling the RAW image (.CR3) files from my Canon EOS R5 with RS 24-240 f4-6.3 IS USM lens, primarily when I am using that lens at 24mm focal length. Both the Adobe apps show significant distortion in the images and still have quite noticeable distortion even after using optical correction using Adobe's lens profiles. I have my camera set up to produce both the RAW (.CR3) files as well as .jpg versions. The Canon .jpg files do not show any of the distortion that I see in both Lightroom and Photoshop. When viewing the RAW (.CR3) files in Canon's Digital Photo Professional they also do not have the distortion seen in Lightroom and Photoshop. I could provide copies of a sample RAW file along with .jpg files from the camera and generated from Photoshop both with and without the optical lens correction if you would like to see what I am talking about. Thanks
Prior to updating PS/Bridge/Camera Raw about 6 months ago or so (could easily be longer), when using the crop tool in CR, and after cropping an image (still in CR), the image would automatically adjust to fill the preview screen. It no longer does that. I must press Command Zero (Mac) to fill the preview screen. How can I get CR to automatically fill the preview screen?
When I used to use the ALT key when using the sharpening slider in ACR I used to get a mast which showed which edges where being sharpened. Now when I press the ALT key and the sharpening slider all I get is a B&W converted image. Can someone help me. I want to revert to the way it used to be. I am using all the latest versions of the software on a PC. Thanks
One of the more recent updates was the ability to select rated images for download in Adobe Raw. For years I would have to sort by rated and then shift+click the ones I wanted .. but that update to "select rated" made it so easy. Today I noticed that ability to right click and 'select rated' was gone. Did I lose it in a recent update? iMac Movjave 10.14.6 with Photoshop 2021. thank you
Before the recent update, I used Camera Raw to save files and limit their file size. This whole option seems to be gone. Help?
Running Adobe LR Classic CC subscription and just downloaded Digital Negative Converter. For the first time ever, i'm not able to import my .NEF files (Nikon D300) into LR. Looking around, i find i need to use this DNC tool, so i download it and try to run it, importing my files from a folder created in Apple Photos (why Photos had no problem reading the files but Adobe can't is beyond me). i set the DNC to version 7.1, which is supposed to align with LR6, which i used successfully for years. No luck. i get a message saying "There was an error parsing the files". Earlier version results in same message. How can i get my raw files into Lightroom?
Is it even possible to make a RAW present work for jpgs? thanks
I have only recently started using Camera raw to edit my Jpeg Fine files shot on my Nikon D850. After editing a jpeg today I came to select the file in Finder to upload online. When I selected the image, none of the edits were visable. Only when opened in Bridge, Camera Raw or Photoshop can I see the edits.I presumed this may have something to do with needing to Export or save changes, made in Camera Raw, via Photoshop, but in doing this am I losing the quality of the the Jpeg I shot? File size decreased from 21MB to 14MB (approximations) I decided to try editing the way I usually do and opened the Nef file of the same image. After editing this file the changes were not visable in Finder as with the Jpeg.Edits of Nef files are usually visable in Finder. I browsed some images from the last few months and their Camera raw edits are visable in Finder. I did notice that there were no XMP files for my last Nef uploads (using Bridge) from my XQD card.Is this something to do wi
Been using PS CS6, with an "old" Canon camera with CR2. I have CS6 installed on a 2009 MAC (10.3 is the latest OS I can go to); CS6 (PS and Bridge) opens and handles CR2 files. Recently acquired a new Canon camera with CR3. CS6 doesn't open/handle CR3 files (at least, my CS6 doesn't). Downloaded and installed Camera Raw 12.4 (followed the on-screen instructions). CS6 still won't handle CR3 files. Anyone have a solution for this, or am I missing something blindingly obvious? Malcolm
This post applies to Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic, and the Lightroom Ecosystem Support: Generally, support for a camera is declared when Camera Raw, and by extension, Lightroom Classic and the Lightroom Ecosystem clients can process a camera’s raw file. Preliminary support is rarely declared in product release information when a camera has raw file support that is not yet fully tested. This can happen when a camera is released for sale very late in our release cycle. Cameras which are released too late in the release cycle are usually supported in the following release. Currently supported cameras can be found at this link: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html Camera Matching Profiles: Support for a particular flavor of a camera’s raw file does not necessarily mean that there will be Camera Matching profiles for that camera at the time of raw file support. It is normal for Camera Matching profil
Hi, I have acquired a Nikon Z6 II but cannot open RAW files from it. I just get the message 'Photoshop cannot open this file' and a link to a page that's 404 not found. I have an Intel iMac, Catalina 10.15.7, ACR 13.4, Bridge 11.1.1 and Photoshop 22.5 - all updated today. And restarted the system a few times. The Adobe 'Cameras supported by Camera RAW' page suggests it is supported, apart from there being no camera matching profile. I've tried opening via Bridge and via Photoshop. So can Photoshop open Z6 II files? And if so, what can I do to make it work? Thanks,-Michael
Hi, now that 3D camera's are everywhere and JPS is the standard, is there anyway we can get Photoshop Elements Organizer to allow JPS files?A JPS file is literally a renamed JPEG file but it has 2 images side by side (so it's twice the width of a 2D version) so there's no issues with Organizer reading the file as it's basically a jpeg but I take hundreds of photos and I don't want to rename them all to jpeg because the files then don't display properly on a 3D viewing device.
I am having an issue with not being able to open NEF files from a Nikon- s6ii. I upgraded to Camera Raw 12.4 yesterday which as far as I know is the latest version availble for Windows 7. I also have Photoshop CS6 v 13.0 x64 and Lightroom v4.4. Is there any hope of compatibility?
When working in camera raw window, if I saved a snapshot, then reset my recent adjustments, by clicking reset (Option + Cancel on a Mac), previously ACR would reset the settings to what they were when I opened the image this session, but it did not touch the snapshot. I found out the hard way that this version now throws away the snapshot, after I spent a while working on a raw image, and tried to see its before state. I know I can click and hold the “eye” button, but that resets all the changes I made to the image since it was shot, including my import preset, and not just this session. Previously if I reset things, the snapshots would be saved, so I could go back to any of them. This was handy if I forgot to save a snapshot before making any changes, and I wanted to see what I had done this session, I could save a snapshot, reset my changes, then create a snapshot of the “before state. I think this is how ACR should function, and hopefully in the next release you can change
I wanted to batch convert some RAW files to JPG using Image Processor, and to deal with the lens distortion in the RAW file I had to click the "open first image to apply settings" option, then enable the lens file correction in Camera RAW. The first RAW do convert correctly, however the second RAW file was not converted as I wished: The white balance, for example, was set the same as the first RAW file! What it should behave is to follow the default "as shot" white balance for each RAW file, not inherite the white balance values from the first file. Thank you.
I've searched the forum and elsewhere but can't find an answer. My usual workflow when cropping begins with keeping with keeping the aspect ratio to original. However, clicking on the crop tool it always begins with custom. I have to change it and also click constrain to image. Anyone know a way to change the default on that to "original" aspect? Thanks.
