Captivate

Good afternoon,I'm creating training modules and ran into a skin issue today. When I publish in HTML scaling my Closed Caption button in the skin vanished with the skin. I have branch awareness on which takes away most of my buttons but CC always stayed until I did the HTML scaling. It's a non responsive project with a pretest before a optional or mandatory video. You take the test and if you pass you get credit but if you fail you have to watch the video. I also built in an option to skip the quiz and watch the video for credit as well. Before figuring out the scaling issue I had no problem with my remaining buttons in the skin but since I've begun scaling them I don't see that option and closed captions are mandatory for these modules. Has anyone ran in to this before and been able to recover the skin or do I need to make a new button? Thank youI'm using Captivate 19 on a MacBook with about 6 months of experience. 

Hello.I have seen that several people have had the same thing happen to them. When I load a Vimeo video on my slide it stays in the middle and when I cancel it says there is an internal video error. It has happened to me before. I use the latest version and I don't know how to fix it anymore.Thanks

I just installed Captive 2019 and I taking an Adobe Captive Fundamentals course in Udemy. When I got to the chapter to create a software simulation, I got the following error: "Capture is disallowed since High-density display was setected. Please set 'DpiAwareness = 1' in AdobeCaptivate.ini and restart the application." As I mentioned, I am a new Captivate user. I'd appreciate your assistance.

Hi everyone, First-time poster here. I hope you can help us. We have a user that has issues when recording video from their desktop. We have sent a bug report but there's no answer yet. Here are the steps to reproduce the issue according to the user: Steps to Reproduce Bug:Go to File > Record a New > Video DemoChoose ‘Screen Area’ or ‘Application’. For webcam, select ‘No Webcam’ and tick ‘System Audio’.This is the audio setting used Click ‘Record’. (Record any videos that are playing on the computer)End recordingThe recorded video preview pops up and video starts to play. It is fine at the start, after a few seconds the audio starts to glitch (sample is attached). We have updated the user's laptop system drivers (including video and audio) but this did not make a difference. The only version we can update Captivate is until 11.5.5. The user has an external mic but he has confirmed that he has removed it during testing and it still made the audio issu

I have exhausted every possible way to solve this problem and I am truly frustrated. I have several video clips that I need to include in a course that has to be published to MP4. I have tried:Importing the native .MOV files directly onto the stage and letting CP convert themUsing Premiere to convert themUsing AME to convert them.Using VLC player to convert them. Recording the native .MOV file in Camtasia directly to MP4Creating a Captivate Video Demo video, publishing THAT to MP4 (which plays correctly) and then embedding the captured video - at which point it stops working on publish. In other words, Captivate cannot even use video created by Captivate!  I need a solution to this as the project is due and I have been fighting this for weeks now. The videos work perfectly on all varieties of preview, and on all varieties of publish EXCEPT published to video. 

In the user variables list the standard variable $$cpQuizInfoStudentName$$ is missing. Why??

Is anyone experiencing this issue on a Macbook with Captivate? I upload my PowerPoint to captivate and cannot advance past this screen and it also never shows a preview of my slides. I have tried everything including renaming the PowerPoint to not include any special characters, tried copying my slides and making a brand new PowerPoint, etc. Adobe support even had me download a "different version" of captivate that is more compatible with my MacBook. Adobe support has said they would evaluate my PowerPoint and see if they can figure out the issue but they have not gotten back to me or provided any sort of feedback. Each time I email an agent, they don't respond and when I chat with them they just say an agent will be in touch shortly. This has been extremley frusterating. I am on a strict deadline and need this situation addressed ASAP. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Please help!! 

When I double click on an SGV icon the image goes white and I cannot edit the color. I have tried changing the mouse speed for double click and it is still not working. Any thoughts?

Hi, I encounter issues after publishing a 360 project. Even I load the folder onto the server it is still the same. When I previewed it, everything works fine. Can anyone able to assist or advise for this, it is urgent, thanks

I am getting "Update required" error whenever I am trying to install audio pack (Neo) from Captivate 2019. Can anyone please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi there I'm having trouble with quiz answers in Captivate 2019.  I have set the correct answer by clicking the corresponding choice when designing the quiz.  However, I do the quiz it tells me that the answer selected is incorrect - even though I have selected the correct answer.   Any ideas on what is wrong?  I have tried creating a new quiz but the same issue. thanks!

Can someone assist me in creating a dashed box that scrolls in a loop.  I want to use it to highlight a flow-chart process box.  So to be clear, I need a rectangular box with dashed lines.  I would like the dashes to move continuously in a looped motion.

 The word START is showing up in the lower right corner of our project.  We only see it during development when ALL layers are hidden on Slide 1.  I have looked through the Master Slides and can't find it anywhere.  It also shows up when Published.  Has anyone seen this behavior before?

I am creating a slide that has an area that has an image that is used for the change of state. I have created an Advanced action that will allow text to apprear in the same space as the image.What I want to know is if there is a way, once the text is read (there is an audio file) I can return back to the original state. And is there a way to hide all the buttons that are shown on the screen when the state is revealed. I am including screen shots of what I have done with the slide as well as what is shown when the program is ready to be used. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I do not program much and am thinking that this was way above me.

Hello everyone -I'm going to try and explain my problem, see referenced images for clarification.I have my desktop viewport so that I have 3 horizontal fluid boxes; a smaller box on top for title, a much larger box in the middle for content, and then another smaller box on the bottom for navigation buttons. My middle fluid box is then split vertically into two boxes, the left side taking up roughly two-thirds and the right take up the remaining one third.My problem is that when it collapses into a smaller viewport, the 2 middle fluid boxes become the same size; they do not retain the 2/3 to 1/3 ratio and I can't figure out how to resize them after the collapse.Any help would be appreciated!Thanks!

We have noted that the knowledge check questions (especially the multiple choices) do not work well with screen readers.  Are there any tricks in setting up Knowledge Check questions and getting ADA to work correctly?

Ao usar o Adobe Captivate e criar um conteúdo de simulado com várias perguntas, a pergunta com acentos em português e as respostas marcadas não são enviadas corretamente para o LMS (Learning Management System). Testei o conteúdo no site SCORM Cloud e dá o mesmo problema, cheguei a achar que era o LRS (Learning Record System) que está usando, mas não é.O problema está no package criado pelo Adobe Captivate.Novamente, o problema não está no LRS ou no LMS utilizados. Testei o mesmo ZIP (package) gerado e carregado nessas plataformas pelo Adobe Captivate no Scorm Cloud e o erro persiste, mostrando que é o arquivo gerado que contém algum erro. Agradeço antecipadamente. Hi evryone,I'm creating a training curse for our web software and I have to let users to scroll down to see the bottom of the web page. Once the user scroll down, he'll be able to click more options in order to continue the course.How do I  create a scrollable image on Captivate?

I tried "return to quiz", and it always sends me back to the missed question.  Is there a way using Return to Quiz that will bring the learner to the next question?  In other words, I want the missed score to stay, just want the learner to understand why they missed, then return to the next question.

Hi Adobe Community, I created a module using Adobe Captivate and this module has a pass/fail test. The students cannot earn their certificate if they do not pass the test, but they are able to retake the test as many times.One student is having an issue where she retook the quiz, it said pass then all of a sudden it said retake and when she wanted to retake it, the question screen would freeze and wouldn't allow her to choose an answer or click submit. The multiple choice buttons don't work or the submit button. Any idea of how to fix this?

I have a 22 slide Adobe Captivate 2019 presentation, with audio on every slide. When my users go to view the presentation they can hear the audio, however the slide turns blank white after just a few seconds. I've tried adding a pause to the "On Exit" but that hasn't helped. How do I keep my slides from disappearing? This happens on static slides and slides with interactions.

In captivate can we change the color of disable state of default "Submit" button on click Currently it get disabled but still it remain in look and feel of "normal" Regards,Sanket

Hi, I converted a 2015 Captivate course into Captivate 2019.  I have 2 survey questions that do not work.  I have researched and researched but cannot fix them. When I click Submit, nothing happens.  I have duplicated them, and rebuilt them with no success. They are labeled Unit 3: Review Questions 1 and 2.   The other odd thing is that they are listed as Survey Questions (Report Answers not checked) yet they each have a value of 10 points. I've used Captivate before but have never encountered just problems. For some reason, I cannot attach the zip file. Would someone be so kind as to review and provide a solution? I would greatly appreciate it!  Thank you! Maribeth
