Captivate

Hi I can't seem to install the eLearning assets on the Mac, I get this error. Any thoughts? 

Our new LMS is needing a mastery score in order to import the score.  I do see on the Manifest page that the score is set to 80%.  However if i open the imsmanifest.xml, there is nothing about a mastery score.  In previous versions i have read that this was included in the xml file.  What needs to happen in order to have this included in the package. Note: our previous LMS was able to pull in the scores.  We just switched to Oracle/One Touch this week. Please Help

Good evening all, I am working on a project in Adobe Captivate 2019. The project is about 100 slides long consisting of images and text only. Every time I try a preview or publish the project, Captivate crashes with an error message stating " A fatal error has occured and the app is being terminated.........Please restart Adobe captivate". Devestating to say the least after working on an +100 slide project!  I have tried placing files in different locations and restarting the computer all together but no luck. My computer is an HP EliteBook 840 G5 with 16.0 of GB. Has anyone else had this issue? 

I an using Captivate and can't insert equation. (Still using the trial version) But still I need to see how mathtype works.

Hello community,we have installed Adobe Captivate (Version 9) on a local device to record software simulations.The programs are recorded in a citrix session.Here we have found that the mouse pointer is always not visible in input fields, if the recording is played in hindsight.We were able to produce the same thing without errors on a terminal server (Windows 2008, Windows 2016) and on the local device (Windows 10) with the same settings.Have somebody a idea?Thanks a lot.Marcel

I just finished a project containing 11 slides, nothing fancy, all Captivate supported formatting and audio. For some reason now I can't preview at all. I can play a single slide in the timeline, but I can't do anything else. I tried outright publishing this project (it needs to be HTML5 to be supported by my LMS) to my computer and get the following:"Could not copy folder: .../.../.../.../assets"But when I go to the directory it allegedly is "copying" to I SEE THE ASSETS file. I opened the HTML5 tracker and nothing is listed. I've closed and re-opened captivate, I've restarted my computer. This issue is with ALL of my projects not just this one as I have just checked. I'm honestly at a loss. Is there anything from the Captivate side that I could do that I haven't? I suspect that it is due to a local hardware change, but captivate was being screwing while I was recording audio with the internal tool (freezing, not letting me seek in the edit tab, etc, etc)

Hi everyone,I cannot sucessfully download character images from the Adobe Captivate Asset Library. As you can see below, there is a window that opens which is labelled "Download Status" but it never completes the download. Hello,I'm dealing with a project where I have narrative text that a user can make appear or disappear by clicking a button. That functionality is working fine, but for some of the slides I can't bring the object forward. The slides affected have fluid box layers that can't be locked and are greyed out and within bold lines on the Timeline.This isn't occuring on other slides and on those I am able to get the blue text box object to be the foremost object, but only if those slide somehow have objects on them that are already above these grouped objects. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it so I can move the object above that group?Thanks 🙂

I have a project to publish for devices.  I cannot because the Publish in Captivate 2019 requires a Phonegap signon and Phonegap is not being supported by Adobe.I have updated Captivate, but that did not change the Phonegap requirement.

I am using Captivate and cannot delete 2 Advanced actions, it says it's being used by events but when I check usage it shows no events there. Did anyone have this issue?

I've added shadows to several of my smart shapes, both inner and outer shadows. They appear correct in captivate,  but when I view or export they're not showing up Anyone else having this issue, or know of a way to fix it?   Seen this in both captivate 2017 and 2019

Hi, I'm using Captivate 2017 and have published to SCORM 2004. I've made sure that "Never Send Resume Data" is un-checked (turned off) because my client wants users to be able to resume where they left off. However, the course starts at the beginning upon closing it out and re-launching. I also have "Set exit to normal after completion" checked (there's no particular reason I have this checked other than wanting users to be able to start from the beginning if they were to relaunch the course after completion; but it's not a client requirement). My client's LMS is not moving the course from the "Current Learning" page to the "Completed Learning" page (for most users, but not all users) nor is it bookmarking. I've tested the course in SCORM cloud and it shows that I Completed and Passed correctly. Last year when I took the course on my client's LMS, it moved the course to the "Completed" page. This year, it kept it on the "Current" page. I've made no changes to the course! I'm assum

Please help with resolve this issue.I compiled an old Captivate 2018 project to responsive project in Captivate 2019.I requested SP Admin to allow json files, which they did.I uploaded all HTML5 files and folder on SP site.When I launch index.html, the course doesn't load. The loading icon keeps running forever.When I launch index.html on local machine in IE 11.0, it works fine except at the beginning it asks me to enable ActivX controls.I tried to launch from the SP site to both Chrome and IE 11.0. Both doesn't load the course.Am I missing something? I would really appreciate a quick solution. Thanks in advance.

Hi all,In Captivate project, calibri font is not appearing properly in TOC menu, and TimesNewRoman font is appearing in place of calibri fonts only in TOC menu.Its appearing fine in windows machine, and my client is using mac machine, where they face the problem. Kindly advice how to resolve this issue.

Hello, Video Demo and Software Simulation not working completely. If I record other applications or anything on the web both work fine, but when I try to capture Captivate using either method using the (Application) radio button option -- Captivate does not show up in the (Select the window to record) drop down menu. Every other open application is in the list, but not Captivate. Can anyone help? I'm using Captivate 2019 version 11.5.5.553 and I'm on a Windows 11 machine? Thanks

Hi, I am using Captivate 2019 and have published out to SCORM 2004. Our LMS is Cornerstone. I selected the checkbox to set exit to normal after completion; however, that's not working. It is still bookmarking at the last slide.  Any ideas on why this isn't working?  Thanks, Kristen

Hi all,My captivate was getting hanged today morning. Hence, I closed the captivate project and restart computer.After that the captivate file is not getting opened. I see a backup file created with extension .cpbackup. I changed the extension of the backup file to .cptx and tried opening in captivate. The backup file is not getting opened. Please help. Its urgent.

Hi, Background info: I have recently started at a new company, who do not currently have a more robust tool to use to create e-learning courses. I want to download a trial, so I can test the functionality, and show a sample to "the powers that be", so that they can determine which tool, Captivate or Storyline will work best for them.  Issue: I cannot download the free trial. I have to use my personal login, because apparently free trials cannot be aquired if you have an enterprise account? However, it still asks for my organization, the industry and organization size. I can put in my organization, no problem (image 1), but nothing displays for the industry in the click down (image 2), nor the organization size. I cannot proceed without it, as it is required, yet there is nothing to select. I like the description for the new functionalities that Captivate has since the last time I used it, but I will not be able to recommend it without visually showing a sample

See attached. I have created a custom accordion interaction that forces the learner to click on each tab before the Next button appears. Everything is working properly except the + signs from the lower Normal state objects show on top of the upper Selected state objects even though they are lower in the Timeline. Any suggestions for how to correct this? I have tried inserting the + as both a text caption and .svg with same result. Thanks!

I'm new to Captivate and trying to create fairly simple training material. The goal is to require learners to watch a video, and answer quiz questions once the video completes. Then they move to the next section, and again watch a video and answer questions. They must complete all videos and all quiz questions to complete the training course. We also want the learner to have basic video playback controls to be able to play/pause and rewind videos as needed. What is the best way to execute this in Captivate? Event videos give the desired playback controls, but there are issues with the video timing being separate from the slide timing. If the learner pauses the video for an extended period of time, Captivate will automatically advance to the next slide once slide time has elapsed regardless of whether the user has completed the video. And, if the learner tries to skip the video by scrubbing ahead, they will be stuck on the video slide until the slide time has completed, e

Hallo,nach der Neuinstallation meines Windows Systems lässt sich Captivate nicht mehr installieren. Nach der Auswahl der Komponenten und des Installationspfades bekomme ich den Fehler 21. Windows ist auf dem aktuellen Stand, die aktuellste Version von MS Edge und Firefox sind ebenfalls installiert.Die Setup Routine (Captivate_2019_x64_LS21.zip) habe ich mehrfach neu heruntergeladen und auch mehrfach entpackt, jedoch alles ohne Erfolg.  Gibt es dafür eine Lösung?  

I've got a user who is running an advanced action at the start of each slide called "heart_check," which checks the user's score and changes the state of a score bar and a character sprite on the screen. He built one and is trying to duplicate it, but now when he attempts to duplicate it, "change state of" is grayed out. He's got plenty of custom states, so it's not an InBuilt state issue. We've tried creating a new one, deleting the line and re-adding it, copying and pasting the slide to another project, and nothing seems ot help. Is there something we're missing?

How can I edit a captivate 2019 file in Windows machine. The base file is created in Mac machine.
