Captivate

Hello,I'm using the Simple Remediation option in the Multi-SCO packager and I keep getting the MultiSCO Error message "Total weightage of the modules must add up to 100%."  I have 36 modules; 28 of them have a weightage of 3% and 8 of them have a weightage of 2% for a total of 100%.  In these 36 modules I have 75 individual zip files.  The first module has 4 zip files for the Content, and 1 for the Post-test.  The rest of the modules have 1 zip file for the Content and 1 zip file for the Post-test. Any suggestions to what I'm doing wrong, or any known issues with the MultiSCO packager?  Thank you so much for your time!

Source computer is Windows with VPN. Want to record using Captivate on my Mac. Used AnyDesk as my VNC. Captivate appears to be recording simulation with all appropriate "shutter" sounds but output is my desktop background with the mouse paths visible. Have experimented with various screen area/ application; application window/ screen/ custom to no avail. Saw an older post about installing trial Captivate but that is not an option. Suggestions?

Hi - assistance or advice greatfully accepted!I am currently trying to build a project using an MP4 background (moving image) and have created my opening slide - video plays nicely in the background, text box(es) fade nicely into view.. all good. Ideally id like for the a button to be pressed, the initial text box fades out and is replaced by a second box with the image smoothly running its course in the background before looping over.I cant seem to find a way to create a (start) button that 'dissolves' the intial text box and fades in another (note:id like a button to be pressed when peple have read the content) As the video is running (ive set it to 'rest of project'), i thought maybe creating the 2nd slide and adding the content to that would be the fix... however, while the intial text box disappears, the textboxes on slide 2 will not show.  im a beginner so i might be biting off a little more than i should but, id have thought this would be relatively easy howe

Hi everyone!  I created an interaction with 3 buttons and 3 variables.  After all the buttons have been clicked at least once, then the Done button should show.  But, the done button doesn't show until after 1 additional button is clicked.  So, one of the buttons needs to be clicked a 2nd time in order to display the Done button. What am I doing wrong? I have attached the code.

Does anyone have or know where to find a checklist for publishing your project to desktop?  After I publish it, I plan to upload the zip file to our LMS, but I want to ensure everything is taken care of, such as can the learner go back if a break is needed, if they hit the back button, etc. 

I've had a working version of Captivate 2019 on my computer, but I have not used it for 6 months. Today when I try to get into it, it ask for a serial number, which I don't remember having. Is this the Adobe plan, it works for about 2 years and then you have nothing?

I have a video on one of my slides and was wondering if anyone knows how to make the background music fade out on that slide and back on after the video slide?  Thanks.

I would like to insert a variable into a quiz result message. Not the text in the Review Area but the text that can be edited in Prefereces - Quiz Settings. I tried using $$Day$$ for example but it just displayed $$Day$$, not the number of the day. Thanks for any ideas. 

Hello from Chicago!When I attempt to "Preview Project", Captivate creates dozens of " Audio_xxxx.stp" files in the project cache.Trouble is, Captivate inserts a blank space before the word "Audio" and thus renders the file name invalid.Because my company uses OneDrive to store these projects, the invalid file format causes syncing to stop until I, manually, delete each of the .stp files. Has anyone else experienced this?Any ideas?Thank you all for your help!Wishing health and safety to you and all your families.Serko 

Has anyone a clue where to find a tutorial on using variables and javascript to draw a spider diagram in captivate? Hi I have a text entry box on slide 3, I am using the adobe captivate guide to add advanced actions to force the user to enter a response into the box. However, it is saying my script is incomplete. Anyone see my error? Is it the "1"? 

Hi,This one may be super easy but I may be missing the clue here...I have two groups of objects (1. English_convo / 2. Japanese_convo).I want to use a button to hide one while showing the other and vice versa.Upon entry to the slide I set variable ConvoJpVis to 0 (meaning "Japanese_convo" is invisible) using an AA.Then I create another AA for the toggle button.(Einblenden = Show / Ausblenden = hide / Zuweisen = set)I can switch the groups once (Group 1 is hidden and group 2 appears) but then I am stuck...I am pretty sure I messing up with changing the variable so the AA can be used indefinitely.What am I missing?Thanks in advance!

I have developed a customized progress bar as shown below.  The blue line shows its progress along with the content.Now the requirement is to enable the navigation feature where the user can click and drag / navigate the content. Can I get some help on enabling the click and drag / navigate future?  

Hello! I am new to the community, so I am sorry if this questions has already been asked. What are some work-arounds extract content from a course without the original Captivate file? We only have the SCORM file. I need to essentially remove irrelevant sections for the new training. My preliminary research tells me that I can't edit it, but that I could extract some of the content somehow or some other workaround. The original course has images, voiceover, animations, and screencast video. Thanks for any tips you can provide!

I'm fairly new to Captivate, although I have created a few courses in the past using Captivate and ported them over to third party LMS platforms such as Cornerstone.  That part of our business seems to be getting more interest and would like to start selling our courses for third party (corporate installed) LMS solutions.  The problem is that I do not know how to control the license and limit users.  I've search everywhere and cant seem to find the answer.  I know the LMS manages that aspect, but I do not have control to manage the LMS so I depend on clients being honest and telling me the correct number of users so I can price my solution properly.  Just wondering if there is something in Captivate, much like I can set an expiration date for the course, that can be used to manage how many users can access the course.  

I'm currently working with SCORM Cloud for a solution, but wanted to post in here to see if anyone has experienced something similar. We have a course that was created in Captivate 2019 and we're experiencing issues when users start the course and go back into it later. When they get to quiz questions, the training freezes and they cannot click the 'submit' button on the quiz.  Any ideas what might be causing this? 

Greetings, Captivate community. I’m working on enabling accessibility for learners who aren’t able to use a mouse, and I’ve hit a roadblock with quiz and knowledge check slides. I’ve already confirmed that accessibility is working for screen readers, as confirmed by our screen-reader users. I’ve also got the focus indicator displaying on all buttons; however, it doesn’t display on quiz/kc radio buttons or checkboxes. When I tab through a quiz or kc slide, the focus indicator disappears when it should be showing the first quiz answer radio button or checkbox. I can press the spacebar to select the quiz answer, and I can use the arrow keys to move up and down to select the other answers, but all the while I can’t actually see what I’ve selected until I’ve pressed the spacebar, which isn’t helpful. I’ve viewed other similar posts on this and here’s what I’ve done: In the Publish Settings, I’ve checked Enable accessibility and Restrict keyboard tabbing to slide items only, a

I have an interavtive slide with 5 tabs. I have an on enter audio that reads the title of the slide and "click each tab for more information." I have added a roll over state to each tab, in each roll over state I have added a transparent shape so that I could embed the audio for that tab title to the shape. The issue I am having is that I would like to somehow pause or delay the roll over audio on the tabs until the on enter audio has finished playing. The on enter audio is about 4 seconds long.  Is there a way to do that?

Hello Captivate Community! I need some assistance here. I have the built in TOC controlled by a custom button. When it's clicked on, it will pause the slide and the TOC will open up. The play/pause button will change to a pause state as well. This is perfect. When skipping to another section, the TOC will hide automatically with the Hide_TOC AA that I created, the play/pause button will switch to a play state, and the slide will automatically play. Also Perfect. However, When the TOC is opened and everything, including the play/pause button switches to a pause state, if the current slide is clicked on again in the TOC (let's say by accident), the slide will start over but the play/pause button will remain in the pause state.  Any thoughts on an AA where if the TOC is opened and the current slide is clicked on again in the TOC (let's say by accident), how to get the play/pause button to change state again since the slide will reset and play automatically?  

Looking for help from you wonderful people.  I have a project I am working on where I have a scale effect and a motion path effect on the same object.  This is actually 2 objects grouped together.  Toward the end of the slide I have that grouped object move to the center of the screen and increase in size a little for emphasis.  Even though the scale effect is set to start 21 seconds into the slide and run for 1 second, it is starting to grow at the beginning of the slide.  All other effects are working properly.  Any thoughts?

Okay.  Having a weird issue I'm not sure if it's universal or fixable or what.  Have you guys experienced this?On my quiz slides, there's a little bit of a hitch between selecting the correct answer and progressing to the next slide.  You get the success caption "good job, hit next to continue."  The hitch is that it actually takes two clicks to progress to the next quiz slide.  The first click clears the success caption, the second click actually progresses the slide.  Is there a reason I'm having to click twice?  Is this a universal oddity?  Can I fix it so that the success caption clears and the slide progresses with just one click? Good Morning everyone,I'm trying to create an action based on the status of an object: for example "IF the status of this object is A, then do this action". Do anyone know how (and if) is it possible to do this? I'm trying with conditional actions, but I don't know how to indicate the object status in the IF panel.Thank you for the help
