Dear all,I do have a license of Adobe Captivate, and as it does not work tried to re-install.Now I donwloaded the software again, but I always get the message that my browser or system is not supported any longer. I do have Windows 10, have made all updates, wonder if the problem is that now Edge is the standard browser... but anyway, I want to work on my licensed program!What can I do?Br, Elke

Getting a pop up error message saying ' Failed to add file to zip 2 compressed_data/data-667626037034.cpd Unknown exception The save zip file might get corrupted you should try creating the zip again" but it won't let me click either cancel or retry. The course also has a pop up showing the file saving at 50 % but seems to be frozen. I could send a screen shot, but I can't find this option either on this page. Could it be related to not saving (or recording) an audio file properly? It seems to happen to my courses containing audio files.Please help! This problem keeps happening and is affecting my deliverables Thank you...

Hey Everyone! I'm new to Captivate but not new, if that makes sense. So I've been scratching my head on something that I've been trying to figure out for days now.  I'm building a curriculum for a client and I created a custom mute/unmute button to be used on slide videos. I have multiple slide videos that play one after another and I THOUGHT that when I created my custom mute/unmute button and created a variable for mute and assigned it, put 0 and 1 or true and false in their respective places in the AA and all that jazz, that once the mute button was clicked and is "on", it did not matter when the slide video with audio ended and the next one started, it would still stay muted.  So why is it that when the next slide video starts, the sound is back on when I only clicked mute on the prev video slide? I thought the mute command would carry over. I've tried several work arounds and dozens of AA and JS (mind you, I'm not basic but I'm not a pro coder or programmer either,

I created the course in captivate, then published it in html5, unfortunately I have a problem with placing it on the website using iframe - it does not appear.

How do I adjust/add a completion setting for a video in Captivate?Our videos have to be in a SCORM package in order to upload to the LMS. Ordinarily, I would use Camtasia for this type of project, but this particular video needs the fast forward function disabled and Camtasia doesn't have this feature. So, my alternative was to embed the mp4 as a slide video in a Captivate project. Now I can't figure out where the completion setting is hiding. There is no quiz, just a single slide with a video. I don't want them to be marked complete just by viewing the slide.  I need learners to watch at least 90% of the video before the LMS marks them complete. How do I achieve this in Captivate?

I have a responsive project that includes the mute button on the playbar.  The mute button appears when the project is viewed on Windows 10, but the mute button is mission on iPhone and iPad running iOS 15.  Has anyone figured out how to make the mute button appear, or should I just tell users to use the volume control on their device to reduce the volume to zero?

Hello,I have a special question, I have an experiment with Adobe Captivate and I would like to know if you can create commands with buttons so that a text example in Excel can be inserted in a specific cell.I know that was a little stupid explained but here is an example:You create an interactive button and when you click on this button then a text (which you have previously defined) should be added in Excel or Word.What is the goal?Well, we have created a ticket system at work with Excel macros and enter there always processes that repeat themselves over and over again. In order to speed up this process, I thought we could create a ticket system in which the buttons are simply clicked in a sequence and everything is automatically filled out in Excel with just a few clicks. Hello there, how can I make the built in TOC show only on the 2nd slide and beyond.  In other words,  I don't want the built in TOC to show on the intro screen.  Can I hide the TOC, then after the users click Start Course, the TOC appears on the next slide? When I hide the TOC using on enter, it hides in the beginning, but doesn't show when I use the showTOCadvanced action on the 2nd slide.

Hi!I'm working on translating a few courses created by the global team and shared with each country for translation but my Captivate simply closes and shows the message "Captivate closed unexpectedly" when trying to import the .doc file I exported earlier.I'm working with macOS Catalina (10.15.7), Captivate 2019 (11.5.5.676), and MS Word for mac and already tried:1 - Changing nothing in the .cptx file after exporting the .doc file (the exporting process works perfectly).2 - Preserving the original .doc file, only pasted the translated text.3 - Preserving the original .doc file, only typing the translated text. And even doing other tips given here at the community couldn't get to the point of importing anything, every time I get to 96% Captivate closes "unexpectedly" and reopens with no changes.Heeeelp!  

I am trying to figure out a way that a user will be able to reset a mutli state button. Currently I have multiple boxes on a slide where a user can click on them and change their appearence from Normal to Visited to indicate which options they selected:  However, I cannot seem to figure out how to set them up with the ability to allow the user to de-select a box which would reset the state view of that box go from Visited to Normal again. I know I can create a "Reset" button on the slide with the advance action to reset all of the buttons on the slide from Visited to Normal, but I don't want a mass reset. 

I have no idea what I'm doing to get this error message? Any body else experienced this? It says Could Not Delete FolderC:\  - Yet I'm publishing as I have always done. 

Hi, When we publish our Captivate Simulation on our LMS, when the user exits the simulation it comes up with an additional slide saying: "Thank you for exiting the content. You may now navigate away from this content." I understand this comes from the Goodbye.html file - which we can change the text if desired. However why is this here at all? Why have an additional slide after the user clicks exit to say "thank you for exiting"? How do we remove this page from coming up as we would like it just to exit back to the LMS and not an additional slide saying thank you for exiting.

I want to deactivate my Adobe Captivate subscription. What's the correct way of doing this?Thanks

Hello, I am using Adobe Captivate Software simulation and had a question about the instructions that come up for the training. The instructions (Click here, etc...) only come up when the user hovers over the click box. Is there a way to make the instruction appear on the slide regardless of where the user's mouse is?

Hi, I am creating my first E-learning.There are no quiz inside but a menu and mp4 animations in different slides.My clients wants it published in SCORM 1.2 format. Do I nevertheless need then to activate the communication in Quiz Preferences ?Or is it possible to publish in HTML5/SCORM 1.2 without activating the quiz ? Thank you.

The published version in my LMS, there are some slides that have the stretch effect on images and/or text. I has only happened with the stretch effect is used. There have been cases where the image and text are blurry.  This happens for some people and not others. We have checked with our LMS and it is not on their side so it has to be captivate. The captivate file is saved as SCORM 2004 and here are the size and quality settings. I also have the scalable HTML content checked.  Has anyone encounted this or have a solution?         

Hi there, The assets panel is empty in my Captivate. I have the 2019 release, 11.5.5.553. I have tried deleting my eLearning Assets folder in Public Documents and nothing happened.'This is running on a work computer, so I do not have administrative access. I am also currently on the trial version, if this matters.  Please let me know what steps I can take to try and fix this, it's crucial I have access to these assets.  Thanks,Vince
