Captivate

Some of my text boxes (those without states) are not in the tab order list, and the T icon and name (EI: text_861) are gray in the reading order list.  How do I make these text boxes accessbile?  Why are they gray? Hide from screen reader is not enabled.  

Is Adobe Captivate Classic compatible with macOs 5 Sequoia?

Hi,I've been trying to get a video file into captivate but none of the resolutions available fit perfectly into the screen, resulting in a black border around the whole video. Does anyone know how to get rid of it or make it white so it fits with the rest of the presentation?Thanks

Hey everyone. Designing scenario based eLearning would be much easier if Captivate included a branching view (must like Storyline's "story" view). Paul Wilson added this suggestion to the Captivate User Voice. If this is important to you, please upvote so it can gain some attention/traction! 

Is there a way to set the display of the Captivate 12 on my computer to a dark mode? The light color of the program is hurting my eyes compared to the darker screen of Classic.

Hi,Hope everyone is well!I created a course and throughout it has some slides that are included in the quiz. However, these slides are not one after the other. Each slide that is part of the quiz has the limit of attempts set to one. Although on the assessment result slide I have ticked the option of 'Allow unlimited attempts' and 'show retake button'. On the assesment result slide I have also set it so that on pass it goes to next slide and on fail it 'returns to quiz'. My issue is that on return to quiz it takes them to the first quiz slide but then continues through the course instead of after having reanswered the first quiz slide taking them to the second quiz slide that they failed. Is there anyway to amend this without me changing the order of the quiz slides to be consecutive and without me allowing the learners to reattempt the question straight after they have answered it? To sum it up, I want them to only be able to retake the quiz after they have completed th

In Captivate 2019 I have recorded a software simulation and change the mouse cursor to double size and a custom blue click. I have published the file to html and loaded it on our LMS. The mouse does not show in the course. It also does not show in Preview mode. I have preferences set to Show Mouse Location and Movement. I use a Windows machine and have built many courses and not had this issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

In Captivate Classic it was possible to record a small video image of the person speaking when demonstrating something in the video. Has that function been removed from the new Captivate?  

The slide video has a slight pause (about 2 seconds); Sometimes it is a black screen, or a frozen still of the video before it begins. The client does not want the pause at all to avoid inconveniencing users with slow internet speeds. I believe Captivate creates its own thumbnail. The video already placed at the beginning of the timeline. How can i remove the pause/black  screen?Here is the timeline and video setup: 

I have a project that is a "choose your own adventure" story, so to speak. On one slide, the user has two options to choose. I want both options to play a different audio when clicked, then one choice will send the user to the next slide, the other choice will jump to a different slide. However, when I created an advanced action to trigger the audio and then jump to a slide, it only jumps to the slide. The audio does not play. How can I reconfigure this advanced action to work? Thank you in advance!

Hi, I'm new to Captivate. The course I'm creating has learners moving through at their own pace vs. the course playing through. Can I remove the duration column from the TOC? I haven't been able to find a way.

Hello All, Is it possible to add background music in the new Captivate, to an entire project? I have followed some instructions, provided by Adobe and unfortunately, these do not work. Any ideas?thanks

Icons in the tiles are displayed with a delay in the export. In preview mode and in Captivate, the timing is wonderful and works perfectly, but in the published file, the graphics and text are displayed with a delay for all symbols and tiles. In one screenshot you can see where the text and icons should be, like in the screenshot from within the captivate tool.

I am trying to create an interactive video that uses question slides as the overlay slides.  I am following the steps in the Captivate user guide, but when I get to the step to select the action to 'Add Overlay', that one specific action is grayed out.  I'm currently running version 12.4.0.2 if that could be creating thie issue. Has anyone else experienced this?   

When trying to start a new project I'm getting the eternal spinning blue circle. I can open existing projects but not start a new one. Has anyone seen this before?   

I have a problem publishing my project. When I publish my project, the embedded sound files are not played. In the preview, however, it works?!? I have the same problem with the "Click to show" widget. My icons are displayed in the preview, but when I publish it and start it normally, they are not. Can anyone help me? Is it possible to create multi-SCORM packages on the new Adobe Captivate, like Classic?

I wanted to know if it is possible to apply my slide count to all of my slides without having to individually copy and paste to each slide. I created a paragraph text block and entered '$$Project.CurrentSlideNumber$$ / $$Project.SlideCount$$' and it displayed the correct information for me in preview mode, but I'm not able to figure out if I can apply this to all slides without having to go through each and copying and pasting.

I am having a project in captivate classic where a textbox has few states with different text information. I need to copy the text displyed in the textbox to clipboard so that same can be copied to the lab environment. Can anyone help?

I have only been developing courses from a 'blank project' due to our end user and security access, but I've inherited a couple of courses done by another who designed them as 'responsive projects.' I need to finish the courses and make edits but as I've been doing this, I get my monitor changing resolution for about 10 seconds, then returning to normal. This is odd and unfamiliar but I'm guessing it has something to do with the responsive nature of the project. I'm thinking it has perhaps something to do with the positioning tab (I do understand the principles of responsive design having worked in web design prior, and I've familiarized myself with a bit of how the objects can relate to others with anchor points, and using percentages for scaling objects to different display breakpoints, etc., but rather than poking around and changing things to figure out the issue I'm hoping for a speedier solution as to what might be causing this that as I've got a full plate of editing to do! Is there any way to "solo" a layer?  I think this can be done in photoshop and after effects and is common in multitrack audio applications.  Basically, I would like to easily hide all layers except the one I am working on without having to manually click the eyeball button for each individual layer.Can this be done in Captivate 9?Thanks

I see in the review there is a comments panel on by defualt in adobe captivate. I want to completely disable this and I see info about looking in the comments panel. However, where is this? The comments panel apears nthe previre but not in the ,ai unterface. Where is the control to turn this feaure off for good? Thanks.

Hi Community,  I got a HTML 5 simulation that I created with the latest Captivate Classic (11.8.3). Everything works as expected.  I have several TEBs throughout the simulation and I noticed that the various browsers used have a spell check enabled and when typing in the TEB, it puts those red lines under words and blue lines as the end because it thinks the words are misspelled (red lines) or that it is missing a period at the end (blue lines).  The text that is being inputted into the TEBs are technical commands, which I don't expect browser spellcheckers to recognize. Instead of having learners disable spell checks across the many browsers they potentially will be using, is there a Captivate post-publish file or files I could modify to disable browser spell check from the project itself? Thanks in advance.
