I am hitting a brick wall. I need help to finish a project. So many questions! Things like I can't get rid of this icon in the presentation. Please contact me to help.
Captivate 2019 publishing to an in-house server as HTML5. Volume is about 200 completions per day. After a review slide, quiz questions stall out for a small set of users accessing via Safari. No advanced actions on entry to quiz slide, quiz slides tend to be stock questions (no audio, video, etc.) and no timings or actions other than submit. Questions are drawn from a question pool of approximately 2x the questions used. The background displays, but not text captions. Neither stem nor distractors show up. For multiple-choice, the radio buttons for selection are visible but not selectable, nor is the submit button. Quiz content displays properly on Edge, Firefox, Chrome, etc. and windows-based machines.Anyone have any thoughts?
Hi, I converted a PowerPoint into a Captivate project and after publishing I see a black line around the text box while I click on them to progress. Please see the screen shot below:- If anyone requires any additional information then feel free to let me know. Thanks, RPTunstall
I am using Adobe Captivate 2019. I am using the slide set "Business" - speciafically one of the drag and drop interaction that I added to my course (see picture 1). However when I preview it, and complete the correct drag and drop, there is a second part that appears that I cannot for the life of me find out how to edit (see picture 2). Please help!
My team has been working on a project in Captivate 2019 (11.5.1.499)We have been testing the project (HTML publish) locally on our machines and everything works fine, but when we try to upload to the web, we get a weird syntax error in the CPXHRLoader.js and a reference error in the index.html "cp is not defined", and the project won't load. I confirmed that the CPM.js is in the proper folder. It's just weird that it works locally but not online. (I also tried on multiple computers/browsers to make sure it wasn't a firewall/network/browser issue) Has anyone encountered this?
We have generated CSV files to import quiz questions in captivate, but somehow there are problems. What is the encoding used in captivate 2019?
So I have been working with Captivate for about 6 months now and I recently started using mulit-state object and advanced actions. I have created a project with a "next" and "previous" button that when clicked loads the next state of a video. The video object has 13 states that are all different source video files. I did this because I wanted the transition to be as smooth as possible, so I didn't want it to load a whole new object or even a new slide. The problem I am facing right now though is very weird and extremly frustrating. When i cycle through the states, certain videos just randomly disappear. Weirdly I found out that pausing the slide will have an effect on this, but whenever I set the button to pause the slide, other videos now disappear. Could this be a problem with the way I preview the project? (Usually within Captivate using preview options). Or is there something I am missing? Thanks in advance for the help
I'm working on a video course, in which the client is requesting for adding the Movie Duration to the Player (i.e. - Time Elapsed / Total Time Duration of the Course, like 3:06/10:15 mins). Now i'm not able to add time duration in any player along the seekbar, the movie duration is available only on the TOC. It would be a great help if anyone can help me resolving this issue. Can someone help me?
Hi, Does anyone know when is Adobe Captivate 2020 going to be released in Singapore? Thanks
Hello All, I hired someone to build some responsive projects for me, and he had the foresight to include Click Boxes on every slide that allow us to move to the next slide during review in case of a navigation snag. This saved me a bunch of time a few times, but now the first of the project files is ready finalized and ready for those Click Boxes to be deleted. They are the only Click Boxes in use in the projects. Is there a way to delete all of the Click Boxes in Captivate that I am missing? Or do I just need to bite the bullet and delete them one by one? Thanks in advance for any help!
We are having problems with the Captivate 2019 xAPI courses not completing in the LMS that we are moving to. We have to embed the xAPI in order for the completion button to work according to the LMS admin to match Scorm Cloud. However, when we do so we continue to have problems with the completion. 1-Can a learner close the window after they have viewed the required percentage for the course to show completion or do they need to click the x in the captivate interface? 2-After the Knowledge Check results page, we have an animated outro page. I found that when I added another extra static slide that is hidden after the outro page, that the test results improved in Firefox, Edge and Chrome in that they were more likely to mark completion after one attempt instead of two or more. Other than the hotfix for Chrome 80 and xAPI files needing a new scromdriver.js file, I can't find any guidance on this problem and wonder if it is an LMS issue or a Captivate issue.
Hi, Every time I try to upload Powerpoint slides from the MS 2020 version into Captivate all my slides get cut off. Any idea how I can resolve this? Thanks,Martine
Adobe captivate - please can I cancel my free trial - been trying for 30 mins. Chat cannot help?
Howdy folks, We're working on posting some training modules in html5 / AICC format on our learn.com installation and we've run into a bit of a snag. We've been posting training in SWF format until recently. We're making the switch to HTML5 and the javascript we use for the last slide to register as complete is apparently not being read when we publish in HTML5 becuase our courses never get registered as complete in the LMS. We currently configure the last slide as such: Navigate to the “Now you know how to” slide.Go to Properties.Select the Actions button.Ensure Execute JavaScript is selected in the On Enter field.Click on the Script_Window button to display the JavaScript window.Ensure the following information appears in this window.//get LMS APIvar lmsAPI = parent;//set score; the first number is the scorelmsAPI.SetScore(100, 100, 0);//set status; possible values: "completed","incomplete", "failed", "passed"SetStatus("completed"); Does this
We'd recently wrote a post about LMS reporting issues on Chrome 80. We are pleased to announce that we have released a Hotfix that takes care of this issue. To download and apply the Hotfix, see this document. This Hotfix covers both the 2019 and 2017 releases of Captivate.
The installation options screen looks like only the top third is showing. I get to language and it shows English but there is nothing to click, select, or scroll and the screen is frozen. I have tried doing the download from the beginning but I can't get past this point.
I have courses that are SCORM 1.2. I noticed the Bookmarking Resume box does not appear when I resume a course. The bookmarking feature works though. When I resume the course it takes me to the last slide viewed. That is working but the box where it asks if you want to start over or resume where you left off does not appear. Has anyone experienced this issue?
Has anyone successfully created a mobile version of their desktop for courses? If so, can I see the example? I'm having difficulty getting both of them to work together for a quality look. Thanks!
Hello, I'm new to Captivate and trying to figure out the best workflow for my project. I'm creating a non-responsive course educating users on a software program. We have one of our trainers doing an introduction on camera in our studio, then they demonstrate the technique, and then the user will have the opportunity to try it out. The entire course must be closed captioned. I've recorded the intros and added them as mp4 files into my Captivate project as Slide Videos. However, when I try to do video demo, I've found that the editing tools within Captivate are quite limiting. The demo requires me to add a lot of zooms, pans, graphics, etc. Is it better for me to record the demos in a software like Camtasia where I have more control over how the presentation looks and then add them as slide videos? I also like that I have the option to caption in Camtasia and export the captions as an SRT file so I can at least copy and paste the text and
Hi everybody, I need to create a project showing a video with some buttons on certain frames. When a button is clicked, the video pauses and an overlay with some info is shown.Than, when the user click again, the overlay disappears and the video continues to play. What is the most efficent way to do this?I'm totaly new on Captivate... I have been using Captivate 2019 for a year now. Recently with the Adobe Cloud, my preferences path was changed so it wouldn't open. My IT guy installed the trial version as a workaround but of course any published courses will expire in 30 days. I've downloaded Captivate 2019 again but for some reason it still thinks it's the trial version. Any ideas on how to fix this issue? I don't know where to look for the trial version files to remove. I can't work until this is resolved and my IT Dept. doesn't know how to fix. Looking forward to any help. Thanks,SC

Greetings, all. I have created an MCQ slide that is having issues once it's published. Would anyone be able to show me what I am missing? Here is the Captivate file:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1C_XHzm8y0gr1CFYfX71qr3dLfl0Yq8GZ/view?usp=sharing In PREVIEW mode, everything works exactly as planned on this quiz slide:- I select my answer and click on Submit.- Forced audio feedback plays all the way through.- Continue button appears, and Submit button disappears.- I click on Continue, which takes me to the next page.- Perfect! In PUBLISH mode, things go wrong:- I select my answer and click on Submit. Check!- Forced audio feedback plays all the way through. Check!- Then: nothing. Continue button does not appear, and Submit button does not go away. By the way, I set up forced audio feedback and custom Continue button using the principles in these outstanding posts: Forced audio feedback Submit process with custom continue button.
Sorry for inconviences, I didn't report full issue: I created courses with a quiz in the end.I created 5 Random questions and Timer Widget was not available for random widgets. So I decided to create blank slide before quiz with a 0.1 transition where I inlcuded Timer Widget. If student fail, by clicking retake button, it goes to 1 question and timer widget is not available. please help to solve. thank you.
One of my course owners requested some minor updates to a course file that contains web objects that stream in video from an IBM streaming service (formerly UStream; if not currently). I made the changes (all text updates and added one slide at the end with just text on it). Now my web objects won't play the videos. I didn't make any adjustments at all to the web objects and the videos in the course that is currently posted to my LMS are running just fine. Both files were built with Captivate release 2019, but I don't know what version was used to build the course that's on the LMS now ...I'm using version 11.5.1.499 for the one I'm having the issues with. As always, any help is greatly appreciated.v/rJay P.S. Something I forgot to mention...maybe it's part of this. The web object starts out hidden and is shown only after the learner selects the right button.
