Captivate

I searched online and in the Exchange and I couldn't find anything prebuilt for free.  I have some time to dedicate to this project so I think I can do it myself, I just need a nudge in the right direction.I think it will be easy enough to create the board image and use the Click feature to turn the answers over.My question is with the scoring.  This game would be used in a group setting.  Only the game host would have a computer to click on the right answers.  Everyone else would just look at the projected image of the screen.Family Feud has two teams.  I need to do something so that the team in control of the board gets the appropriate points when they answer a question correctly.  What would be the best way to do this?  I am using Captivate 5.Thank you!

Hi All – on Captivate 12.4 I do change the voice in a caption and initiate the audio update – that crashes / shuts down Captivate. Is the size of the project an issue? It tried within a single page in a different project the same – just 2 words as caption with voice – that worked…any ideas? on Mac...

Can Captivate 2106 just report a quiz score not determine if the score is a pass or fail?

I am using Adobe Captivate Latest Version (12.4.0.20). I have working with the font "Brown" with two variants. But Captivate only shows me the regular version and never the Brown Light version. While in other software like Figma on my computer, I can easily see both two versions "regular and light". Can anyone help me to figure it out?  I have tried it on Windows, but the same fonts work there perfectly with the name like " Brown and Brown Light" but it never works on my Macbook Air, or MacBook pro. 

I am currently using Adobe Captivate Version 12.4. One issue that I am having is that I cannot amend the state of the image that I am using for the background of the Hotspot Widget. Basically what I am trying to do is that when the user clicks on a hotspot, the image at the back of the widget, greys out.  I am trying to accomplish this by adding 2 states to the image. One which is crisp and will display when no Hotspot is selected and one which is greyed out (or has the brightness turned all the way down).  Can anyone advise if this is possible please?

I find working with images in Captivate a lot less intuitive than it should be. This is a hotspot slide. I want all of the content below to fit above the dotted line. To do that, I am going to have to resize my image, and that is fine, but I can't find any good way to do that inside of Captivate. I can resize outside of Captivate, but I would just be guessing at the right size and would have to do it several times to get the correct proportions. I wish I could just select the image, drag a corner to resize it, and take the rest of the block size with it, but apparently, that is not how it was designed. What are my options here?  

I know I am missing something, but what is the correct way to reposition this logo from the right side of the screen to the left and keep the original size. When I use the Content Width slider or padding, it resizes the logo. I don't see any justification options. 

Background: I'm working with Captivate modern. I am creating multiple short simulation projects and then copy/pasting the slides into a single merged project. First issue: I cannot reliably copy and paste slides between projects. I seem to have the best luck pasting into newly opened projects that have not yet been saved. Once a propect has been saved it is nearly impossible to paste slides into it from a different project, though I succeeded in this once. I don't know why this works sometimes and not other times, as I have followed the same actions each time: Ctrl+C and then Ctrl+V. If I right click on the targeted slides instead I can see that I am able to copy them to the clipboard, but that the Paste option is greyed out in the target project. Second issue: If I paste the slides into a regular project file, rather than one that was originally created as a simulation file, they are cropped and I can't seem to resize them. I've started noticing Captivate courses causing 406 errors because they are attempting to set cmi.score.scaled to 'NaN' which is not allowed. According to SCORM specifications:cmi.score.scaled: The scaled data model element is a number that reflects the performance of the learner. The value of the data model element is scaled to fit the range –1.0 to 1.0 inclusive. Data Type: real (10,7) range (-1..1). Value Space: A real number with values that is accurate to sevensignificant decimal figures. The value shall be in the range of –1.0 to 1.0,inclusive. If the SCO tries to set the cmi.score.scaled to a value that is not a real number, then the LMS shall set the error code to 406 - Data Model Element Type Mismatch. The LMS shall not alter the state of the data model element based on the request. Was there a recent change that caused this or is there a setting that can be changed in Captivate to prevent them?     

I am trying to determine the best way to take learner input responses from text boxes and capture on the next slide in smart shapes using adv. actions or another way if it is possible at all. Please help if this is possible.

I face problems with playing inserted video clips. They play fine when I preview in Captivate, but the problem starts when I publish as SCORM and upload to our LMS (Moodle).When inserted in Captivate as a Video grid block, "No video with supported format and MIME type found." appears in the course (tried in various browsers). When inserted as slide video, some play, some don't, and as a rule, when I insert more than one clip per course, they don't play.  Videoclips are my own  (created in PremierePro as MP4), ranging from cca 100 MB to 1GB (size isn't the problem - I tested that).Any idea what could be going on?Thanks, Petr

Hi All I have 2 elearning created in 2019. Our main elearning will show quiz scores on the final page, our review elearning will not. I have gone through all Quiz preferences and both modules match. Can anyone help why my quiz score will not show in preview or publish in LMS

Hello everyone! In some of our learner modules we have a button that takes the student to the next slide. This button is on a (Self) Time-based animation, whereby the next button will appear after a certain amount of time (based on when the audio will finish for that slide). However, if a student who has moved past the slide wishes to return to the slide, they'd have to again wait until the next button appears (even though they've already viewed the slide previously). This makes it very hard to navigate for students who are returning slides/modules to check content for the exam I was wondering if there was a way to make it that once the next button has appeared, it will retain that state when a student returns to that slide, so students don't have to wait however long after each visit.  Thanks in advance for the help 😄

I've been working on my first Captivate 12 project and when I accessed it this morning the review had disappeared.  It was actively being reviewed and I went in to address comments that I received on Friday.  When I click on the links to the comments (in notifications and via email) I get a Error 404: Asset not found error.Obviously this is a big problem for getting this project finalized. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Hi folks,I have some severe problem with my Captivate content displaying in Successfactors LMS.SF opens the content in a new 800x600 window and I need a script to force this window to an bigger size. I know that this must work somehow, because we have other content (not made with Captivate), which actually DOES resize the window.  I´ve tried to locate the responsible script snippet, but it does not work with my Captivate content.I am using Captivate Classic, publishing in scalable HTML5. Don't want to ressurect an old thread, but want to use it for reference with input from Rod and Lilybiri:Solved: cpCmndGotoFrameAndResume and HTML5 - Adobe Community - 5778209 I have a timeline with 7 different nodes on it going to 7 separate slides covering the info based on year. I created a Master slide with a button and "Return to Timeline" at the bottom for these 7 slides to take the use back to the timeline. I want them to bypass the intro text and voiceover obviously as they heard it the first time. From reviewing Micronav blog post by Lilybiri (although the SWF object won't show so I can't see example she references), I now understand it is one massive timeline not new for each slide. I get how this then would work with her method of 1. creating a user variable v_startframe2. Assigning v_startframe with rdinfoCurrentFrame (set at the beginning of each slide per Lilybiri's instructions) / Continue3. Then assigning rdcmndGotoFrameAndResume with v_startfra

I'm wondering if anyone else experiences this issue: When I go to drag layers within the timeline to better organize them, the object labels often don't follow the timeline of that object, and sometimes the stretch of timeline disappears itself not appearing where I've tried to drop it, and the label still sitting where it was, but the 'colored bar' gone. It often reappears properly after I save or sometimes only when I close out the program then reopen, but that's a little nerve-wracking to have to 'hope' that it does. So I often leave the timeline alone and hunt for what I need rather than having it organized the way I want. Is there some setting I perhaps have on that is causing this? I also don't really understand why the layers can only be dragged within the timeline itself (which means the placement easily shifts and I have to redo if I don't remember the exact spot it was (and I even tried holding down 'shift' to see if it would hold the object layer in its horizontal spot on th

Hi,My Captivate 2019 keeps crashing--either on Open or shortly thereafter. The Crash report often refers to the adobe_licutil process and then it states the Captivate version number asVersion:  11.0.0.34 (11.0.0.34) Other crash reports refer only to  Adobe Captivate as the process and state the Captivate version number as "11.5.5.678" ( 11,5,5,678 ). I have another CC account (through work for other Adobe products) but I ensured I was logged out of it and logged into my CC desktop with the account that manages Captivate. I tried "CleanPreferencesMac" and other suggestions I found online. The only thing I have not tried is uninstalling and reinstalling Captivate. Any suggestions?

Die Prozessabläufe, die ich aufgezeichnet habe, aber nicht!Dementsprechen würde es ausreichen, wenn ich in das alte E-Learning "einfach" die neuen Screens bekommen würde.Ich habe die Bilder bereits aufgezeichnet (in dem gleichen E-Learning). Jetzt möchte ich eigentlich nur die Bilder tauschen. Z. B. Hintergrund1 mit Hintergrund45 ersetzten.Aber das geht offensichtlich nicht so einfach, oder doch?Ich weiß nicht weiter. Wo liegen denn die Bilder? Muss ich jedes Bild über Gimt tauschen? Oder via Zwischenablage.Ich hoffe auf Hilfe oder Tips von Euch. Vorab besten Dank und viele Grüße Jürgen

Hi, We are trying to make an accessible module, but the playbar requires horizontal scrolling at 320. Is there an easy way to modify ( in new captivate, not classic)? This is obviously an oversight from an accessibility perspective. Please fix Adobe!! Thanks! katy

I am having an issue with Drag and Drop that I am unable to pinpoint- I have 2 drag and drop slides in Captivate 2019. Each one has 7 drag sources, and 3 drop. The intended action is for automatic submission upon all 7 drag sources being dropped to the correct locations. Currently, after dragging one source, after 3 seconds the presentation changes to the next slide.I confirmed that I have "Continue playing the project"  unchecked, and cleared cache. This was working successfully, but now it's not so I must have done something, but I can't figure out what.
