Problem While installing Adobe Captivate (2017 release) or Adobe Captivate (2019 release), the installation may get interrupted and the following error message displays:   Sorry, Installation failed We are unable to install Adobe Captivate this time. (Error code: 103) Workaround Follow the steps below:   Re-run the Captivate installer Download the installer package. For Captivate 2019 or Captivate 2017.0.1, download the installer from Captivate downloads. For CP 2017 and ealier versions, you'd have already downloaded the installer or you can contact Captivate support if you're unable to locate the installer. If you have the installer already downloaded, extract the 7z file, and run setup.exe.   Creative Cloud cleaner tool If the issue still persists, download and run the cleaner tool. For more information on running the tool, see Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation issues.   The steps above should resolve the issue. If not, please get

Bonjour à toutes et tous. Je post ici car j'ai vraiment besoin d'aide, ca fait quelques semaines que je buche.Je travaille sur Captivate pour créer un contenu sur LMS.En l'occurence je dois exporter mon quizz sur TalentLMS en format scorm1.2. Oui moodle pour l'instant je ne peux pas me le permettreEn exportant sous format scorm a priori tout va bien.JE peux interagir pas de soucis.Mais les reglages sont trop hasardeux. A un moment l'interaction avec Talentlms se passe très bien en cas de succès et hop il m'affiche le message de felicitations du LMSEn cas d'echec, soit il me ferme e navigateur, sous un autre reglage il ne fait rien. Bref j'ai bien compris que c'est dans les paramétrages du quizz mais quel paramètres choisir a la fin d'un quizz en cas d'echec pour obtenir un comportement correct, a savoir qu'il envoi les info de score mais permette a l'etudiant soit de poursuivre le cours soit en tout cas de déclencher le message d'echec du lms. En vous remerciant. &n

Hi, I am using the new Adobe Captivate. Did anyone experience here the cutting out of audio in simulation slides? How did you fix it? It sounds ok when I test it but when in preview or review mode, I keep having the same issue. Hope someone can help me here.Thank you

I have simple requirement, while playing video, i want to pause the video , need user to attend quiz before proceed further video. I want to add a button over specific position in video to click by user to show the Quiz .How to achive this. I cannot able to drag button over the video

 I’m in the process of making a widget for captivate. I have been having issues with images not being accessible with my javascript, sometimes. The issue that I have been able to track down that a line of code seems to only retrieve 4 of the img json files that captivate generators. I am getting the json files with the images with: ‘window.parent.cp.imagesJSONCache’The result I get when I console.log is  Looking through this object, the image that I need does not exist in these json files that were retrieved.  I can use ‘window.parent.cp.imageToJSONPathMap’  to pull information of which json file the image lives in. In my screenshots I need the img2.json which isn’t loaded with the JSONCache.    I don’t know if there is a way to get in ALL the json files or grab the one I need with javascript  if it doesn't load. Or if there should be another route I should be taking to get these images? 

I can't get this back button to work, no matter what I try. There's a button that runs an advanced action that shows another button and a square. The button that appears has an action that shows a checkmark and a continue button. All that works. However, I have a back button showing at the start of the slide, which doesn't work. Pushing it doesn't do anything. Pushing it several times continues to the next slide. I've tried "return to previous," "jump to <the previous slide's number>," and making an advanced action that goes to the previous slide. I've also tried deleting and recreating the back button. It seems like such a simple thing, but it will not work no matter what I do.  Mark -

I'm moderately well-versed in Adobe Captivate Classic, but I went through the New Adobe Captivate certification course and want to create a new project. I'm trying to use some of the Asset deck slides as a template for slides. It doesn't seem to matter which asset deck I use. On the thumbnail, fonts and colors of buttons are correct. However, when I download the asset slide(s) to my deck, the fonts are replaced, colors of fonts and buttons are changed. It's a mess, and looks awful. If I just put one slide from assets in a brand new project, save, close, and re-open, a popup asking about missing fonts appears when I re-open. Is it something I'm doing? Should I change a setting of some sort?  What am I missing here? How do I get the pre-made slides to appear as they seem in the Assets panel without having to recreate them myself?Currently using version 12.3.0.12. 

Hi Everyone I just wondered if anyone has tested Adobe Captivate on a silicon M1 mac using Rosetta? According to Apple, the Rosetta emulator should make any intel application work on the M1 Mac, however after previously upgrading to Big Sur and not being able to use Captivate for a period of time, I am waiting on an answer before I upgrade my Mac. I have searched online and cannot find any info, and I chatted with Captivate support online and asked them two questions, to which I didnt really get any useful info. My questions to the Captivate team were: Is a native version planned for the M1 macs? (I know the answer is most likely no)Has Captivate been tested on a M1 mac using Rosetta? At first, the Captivate team simply pointed me to the minimum system requirements - which didn't really answer the specific questions I had. Hi all,I'm needing to get a new Mac desk computer (a late 2013 Mac Pro, Monterey OS that is no longer able to update further). I also need to update Captivate Classic (I currently have 11.5.5.678) as well as start learning the "new" Captivate (12+). I read that the new Captivate is supported on these new M2/M3 Apple Silicon Processors, but is Captivate Classic? Or does the Classic only work with Intel processors? I need an Apple Silicon processor to keep up with other evolving software updates like Photoshop and Illustrator. But I'm in the middle of big projects with Classic and really need to be able to continue using it, with the intention of transitioning to the new 12+ version down the road. Any advice?

Hello,I need help saving.  I have created a project and published it as a HTML5 zipped file.  This is what is needed for the LMS.  However, as the developer, I would like another version that I can open and edit.  This is usually represented as a blank paper icon and as a .cptx file (see image below).  The person that created these is no longer with the company and I can not figure out how to save my project in order to have that second option. Thank you for your help!

Hi.I'm embeding Vimeo videos to a Web Object. I have made States with different Vimeo embed codes, and made buttons to change between the states. But I have a problem:When changing state (changing video), the prior video(es) can still be heard, since they are still running in the background. So I need the button to also stop a started Vimeo embeded video, before changing state.Anyone have the solution for this? I've tried some ChatGPT-suggestions, but none worked. I recently created a course using Adobe Captivate 12.3 and successfully uploaded it to my LMS. However, after testing, I discovered that if a learner exits the course, they cannot resume from where they left off in the video. I suspect this is because the entire video is contained on a single slide. To address this, I updated the course in Captivate and divided the video across multiple slides. Now, I'm facing a new issue: the course zip file won't upload to the LMS at all. What am I doing wrong?

I have a project that works perfectly when I preview it. But after it is published, none of the buttons will work. The shortcut keys work, but nothing happens when the buttons are clicked.

Well, I can't deny I find this very annoying, so I am hoping someone can help. I created several .cpt files with no problem during the Adobe trial run. Now that I have committed to the year, I can still publish the file with no problem, but if I upload it to Canvas, it goes unrecognized. Then I tested it on SCORM Cloud- I got a message that says, "zip file contained no courses". I have now spent the last 5 hours thinking I was overlooking something. I am not. I even double-checked to see that my payment went through. It did.I published the files the same way, I uploaded them the same way, and two different media do not recognize anything being published now. I have tried multiple times, and an earlier version worked perfectly fine.  For some reason, I cannot get the files to work now. The index.html file and any other folders I have seen previously are there. Can someone please advise? I don't know why this is happening

I need to align a text field over a screenshot of a textfield so it looks to the user like they are actually typing in the text box on the image. This is easy in a blank project, but I need to be able to do this and it fit on different monitors. I have tried multiple approaches, including: Fluid Boxes, positioning techniques...I dont understand why this is so incredibly difficult on software like captivate. This is simple CSS. Can anyone help me figure out what I am doing wrong?

I have created a simulation project. I added an audio file to the background of each slide. Some of the slides play the audio file I added then the project stops like it is supposed to waiting on the learner to click the right part of the screen. But, some of the slides will have a pause and then start playing audio files from other slides.  I checked the Audio section and there is only 1 audio file. I checked the file itself to confirm it is just the portion I want for the slide.  If I duplicate the slide and move it to the end of the project and hide it, then the duplicate audio doesn't happen but I don't want to do that for every slide. Does anyone know if this is a known issue and how to correct it?

I'm trying to record a software simulation (Demo) with narration with Captivate 12.3 on my Windows 11 laptop. Unfortunately, no matter which microphone I select and calibrate, the audio captured is so faint that I can barely hear about every 10th word. In all the times I've attempted to calibrate, only once did I see green flash on the Input Level indicator bar, and it never came close to "Good". I get the same result regardless of which microphone I select. I've used a desktop mic, a headset mic, my laptop mic, my webcam mic, and the mic built into my video conferencing monitor.  Thoughts on this?

I am trying to embed an MP4 video into my Captivate project.  When published or even in the preview the videos won't play.  There is just the spinning wheel. Before using Captivate Classic I was using Captivate 2017 and never had an issue with this.  Is this an issue with Captivate Classic or is there a fix?
