Captivate

I'm having an issue with videos I've uploaded to Captivate where, when attempting to edit through Timeline, they are jumping by between 1.5 and 3+ seconds making it impossible to insert content. I've spent weeks working with Adobe Support attempting to get this resolved and was finally told it was "because the video file was too high quality."  I asked for video specifications that would allow it work properly and was told those didn't exist.  On our own, we attempted to take all videos to their lowest specs and am still having the same issue.  Adobe is now telling me the only way to do what needs to be done is to launch the video in previewer, determine the placement of the content, return to Timeline and insert.  I tried this and it absolutely doesn't work.  Is anyone else experiencing this?  If so, have you been able to resolve it?I'm looking at alternatives to Captivate but am finding there's nothing out there.

In the Captivate Specialist course, Dr. Pooja told us about a website that she uses to create a color palette that she exports and keeps in each course she creates, so the colors are handy.   Does anyone have the website?Thanks

Hi there,I'm trying to add a checkbox to a presentation that is purely optional and not linked to any other actions. Basically, it's a "terms or service"-type checkbox, but I still want it to be the button at the bottom of the screen that moves them to the next slide, not the box.I've tried adding a click box and it's showing up as 1. when I preview the project.Any suggestions?Thank you!

I am working with a team on providing feedback on Adobe forms. We can easily add comments, but can we "track changes" like you do in word? Specifically, on what has been entered into the form, not what we have on the form.

How long does Captivate support video length or size ? I have 40 minutes video ,this is too long for publish?

Hello,I'm using Captivate 2017. I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to use a click and hold action. The action I have in mind is to have the user click and hold on a button which tells an object to rotate as long as they hold the mouse down on the button. Additionally, it would also display numbers that increment while the mouse is held down. Any advice/suggestions are appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Dear Captivate Users,We created several trainings for a client who needs these trainings in Flash Scormed form. We'd like to embed a downloadable PDF file into the Cp Project, it works if we export it in HTML5 (we simply put the pdf into the folder of the project) but does not when exported in Flash.Is there a way to make it work in Flash?Thank you in advance for your kind help!

I have been using Articulate Storyline 2 to make some course,the output is not responsive but they fits the screen as in computer.Now, is there any way I can make my contents fit my mobile screen without jumping to responsive design? Also is there any way I can force my contents to open in landscape?

I am using Adobe Captivate 2019.I want the True/False Quiz to give the reason its true or false. What steps do I take to do that? I looked in the quiz properties but did not see options.In addition, I find editing the quizzes using the Object Style Manager to be most challenging.  Is there any steps you have taken to master this section?Thanks

My project 40 minutes ,but after publish html or mp4, publish file size is very small, my file size is 1 kb and open it 2 slides and waiting loading screen forever.Thanks

I am a new Captivate user and I'm trying to create a new responsive project; however, I'm not seeing an option to create fluid boxes. Here is my toolbar:Is there something I need to do to enable this option? I have Captivate V9, if that helps.Thank you!

I have a project that is comprised of three linked projects.First is an Intro where the student chooses one of two paths.  Continue Lesson or PreTest. Second is Pre test where the student take a quiz and if they pass the quiz they get credit for the training if they fail the quiz they are navigated to the third project Lesson.Third project is the Lesson.  If they select Continue lesson in the Intro they are navigated to this project and if they fail the Pre Test they are navigated to this project.This will be hosted on a web server not using SCORM.The issue is when the student is sent back after failing the pretest it goes to the last slide of the Lesson instead of the beginning.

When I preview inserted video it plays correctly, ie in correct alignment when I preview the Project from within Captivate.However when I publish the project into SCORM 1.2 file the video plays back incorrectly, ie sideways.I note when I insert the video file initially it is in a side on position (not sure if it relates to how the video was actually captured originally) but I have changed the alignment to 90 degrees within options.

We enjoyed the webinar today but we need to know if our LMS will work with Captivate. Our standard is align to IMS Global’s QTI, and common cartridge standards. Any thoughts or help.

Hey Team,               We have created a lot of internal learning over the years and we are having to go through and edit all references to our intranet. To analyse the text references, I want to access one of the scorm files through notepad++ (such as an xml file) so I can search for terms rather than having to open every module in captivate. I can't seem to find which file within the SCORM package that all text I have created within captivate is held within.Would anyone happen to know which file it may be contained within please?Thanks heaps!

OS = Windows 7 64 bit I have searched for any sort of publishing discussions specifically for Cp 2019 Interactive Video and can’t find any, but feel free to link me to one if this has been answered before! I need help convincing my Manager that Cp 2019 Interactive Video does not mean what they think it means. I just downloaded Captivate 2019 and experimenting with the Interactive Video functionality. I have an interactive video with the base video, 2 overlay slides that are on-screen content with Continue buttons and 2 Knowledge Check slides. Nothing fancy. When I publish to an MP4 I get an error that states "This project contains slides that are not supported when published" This is because an MP4 cannot have any interactivity beyond what is in the Playbar, right? Manager seems to think we will be able to upload interactive MP4s for our users and they will be able to interact with the content – circumventing the LMS. But that is not true, right? For the life of me I can't figure out how to make a transparent button to lay over text or how to create a button that is a diferent color than my "Theme colors" which I can't change either. The only options available to me are changing the reflection and shadows, and the text color. Why is this so difficult to achieve?

Is there a way to delete image buttons from the properties wondow? I see the trash can icon but it is grayed out after I select the buttons I want to delete.

We have developed a compliance course using Captivate 2019. The course has been loaded to a Captivate verified LMS for playback on our Samsung Tab E tablets (OS Android 5.1.1) running Chrome browser (v.72.0.3626.121.) Our issue is that while running, the course just quits at different points in the playback and never in exactly the same place. The course is 17 minutes in length and may quit as many as five time. From a coding standpoint the course is very simple, so no exotic action scripting as I've check to be sure nothing has been built in that is creating this issue. I've run the course, from the LMS, on both a wired in desktop and wifi laptop without any problems, so it's only on the tablet when the course quits and returns to the LMS page where you can click back into it. I've looked and other threads and even tried some suggested workarounds that apparently ongoing issues for Chrome 36; this included changing the noteOn and noteOff to start and stop. I am using the trial version of Captivate 2019 and have inserted an interactive video (youtube). Every time I try to do a slide overlay the video doesn't load in iOS. I see a black screen with a white play button that doesn't work and behind that I can see a loading circle spinning. I read somewhere that you can't have an overlay at 0 seconds for iOS so I made the overlay appear at 4 seconds. Still doesn't work. I even tried just inserting the interactive video without a slide overlay and that didn't work either. Is this a bug other people have found or is it more likely that I'm doing something incorrectly?

Hi there,I am trying to change the colour of the background in my project. I am exporting as HTML 5 only. I need white background. In the preferences, I set the colour to white. However, when I export, the background colour while the preloader is visible is grey. I found where in which file I can change the colour AFTER export. This is where I find the file \assets\css\CPLibraryAll.cssThis is the line where I can change the colour, but it is a hassle.I need to reinsert the css file in the SCORM package and it is not the best solution. anyone with similar experience and possibly a solution?Thank you in advanceBobby

I cannot get adobe captivate 9 to print handouts or storyboards.  I have tried having word open and having it closed.  I've logged in as the Administrator.  I've copied all the slides to blank project and tried this way but no success.  I'm all out of ideas.  I have Word 2013.  Can anyone assist please?
