Captivate

I have the trial version with hopes of replacing my Articulate Presenter software with Captivate, but I am not able to input over 8 or 9 entries in the glossary interaction. It will allow me to create several entries with images and names but will not allow or save any changes to the label tab which controls the description of each entry. Is there a data limit for the trial version?

Hello all,Hope you can assist with an issue I have with Captivate. I've created a count down timer which I intend to use in each of my quiz slides. Each slide will have a separate object timers with a specific timing. I've created these objects and have them available as mp4 as well as GIFs. I am aware there are widgets for this in Captivate but they really aren't aesthetically appealing to me so I thought of using the timer setting in quiz along with a graphic of my own..Anyway, I could potentially use both options, however I have issues with both of them.OPTION 1: Using mp4 videosThe video timer will start as soon the user enters the slide, but will pause if the user launches the course and leaves the screen to visit another tab on their browser. The point of the timer is to ensure this will continue. Is there a way to disable this and ensure the video timer plays on the background even if they minimise the slide?OPTION 2: Using GIFsWith this option, it appears that as soon as I ente

I am trying to figure out a way to display what everyone answered on a quiz to the class in a connect session.In the case of a true false question here was my plan:Have a true variable, a false variable, and a total variable all start at 0.When someone answers true, it increments the true and total 1, when someone answers false it increments the false and total 1.On the final feedback page I could have it show True/Total and False/Total or create more variables that have the value in percentage of these.I have this all working fine. My problem comes in that when you unsync in a connect session, when you bring the session back together synced, it basicaly only shows what the individual user did, instead of all users incrementing appropriately.Is there any way to accomplish this across the unsynced sessions?I have begun playing with assigning a userid value and recording their answer in that, but the problem becomes without knowing how many users in a session, I can't calculate this out

Hi,I'm using a multiple choice slide as a knowledge check. I want to run some advanced actions when there's either a correct or incorrect answer. It involves showing a hidden SmartShape that has response text, an image, and some custom buttons. The issue is that no matter what, when the SmartShape appears, the Submit button is still visible (it should be under the SmartShape). Here's a prototype of what I mean:The SmartShape is the frontmost element on the slide. Is there a way around this? I can't find any way to hide the Submit button.(as a side question, is there any way to avoid having the checkboxes so tiny?)Thanks,Mike

Hello,I accidently saved a project as responsive.  When I go to the Publish drop-down there is only publish to devices, I need to publish to computer. Does anybody know of a quick and easy fix for this?

I published a SCORM lesson and tested it on SCORMCloud.com and the result was that there isn't any content in the file. What settings should I check?

Hey there everyone,I am using Captivate2019.i started a new 360° Project for 1024x768. But when i set a new background picture its always very low quality.I took anything from 1920x1080 to 1024x768, every picture just got scaled downwards and looks extremly pixelated. So know for my question: which size is required for the 360° background picture, for my project size? Because i sadly didnt find any information in the internet about that topic. Thanks in advance for your help.

I created a  VR program with 2 8-min 360 degree videos, and a question, which when published is over 3GB.  Is that a normal file size to expect for a small project?

Could someone please point me in the direction of the Captivate 9 system requirements? Currently all the links point to system requirements for Captivate 2017. I specifically need to know what browsers are supported for my end users but would like to have the complete list of system requirements at this point for future reference.Thanks!!!!

I am having difficulty changing the closed captioning in the responsive project I have made. I set the project cc background to black and to white text, but when I switch to the iPad, iPhone, or Android view, the project cc is not there. Instead, the background is white and the text is black. The cc for the PC view changed to the project mode and looks fine, I am only having an issue with the other viewing modes.Thanks in advance for your help!

When previewing hyperlinks in the PPT they open but when we go to preview in HTML5 for some reason said links are being changed and Pages/PageNotFoundError is added to the link.  Not sure why Presenter is changing the hyperlinks in the presentation slides? 

Hello,I'm a fairly new user to Captivate, and I've recently encountered problems with Chromes gradual phase out of the Flash player. I am building an e-learning module for the College I work at with Captivate, but the majority of content comes from After Effects animations (mp4) that are set up as multi-synchronized slides. From this, the published project is then taken into Moodle via SCORM and then should be viewed. Obviously with Chromes phase out of Flash I can't view anything until verifying unauthorised scripts, which is not useful when it is released to staff needing training. Is there any sort of workaround for this? I've trawled the internet for solutions and I'm coming up blank, any help would be appreciated.Thanks,Paul

I have captivate installed ( and creative cloud) on both my laptop and desktop. Unfortunately my desktop is broken and will be replaced under warranty. I need to reinstall captivate but i have lost my codes. How do i retrieve codes?Thanks

Hi,I have a drag and drop with 6 elements but i have a problem i can drag only one element and the slide go to te next slide.I dont found the parameter to wait all the drag before going to the next slide.thank's for your solution or idea

Hello. Is it possible to create a project that reports to LMS the total time an user took to finish the project or quiz questions?Where I work, they are trying to make some kind of contest where the winners are who finish the course/quiz first.Is it possible? I have a custom png file I'd like to use for the the failure caption. I don't see anywhere in the properties manager. If that is not possible, I'd like to upload the png as a media item, but I'm not sure how to trigger it to pop up when the user clicks in the incorrect areas on the screen.

Is there any limit to the number of items I could add to the glossary widget?

Hi, One of my colleague have published the training content using Adobe Captivate. But I am not sure where exactly the result xml gets stored?Is it possible to check how its been configured to retrieve the result xml?Any help will appreciate:)

hi! i'm using adobe captivate 5 and i'm wondering if i can implement language selection for the narration in my presentation and at the same time have closed caption with it.like, i could choose english for the audio and caption then later choose i.e. german.thanks!

We have an LMS that logs all attempts made in in a course whether it be successful or a failure.The SCORM course we have will move to completion after a successful attempt but will not move to completion when the user achieves a failing mark.We have set the number of attempts in the SCORM file to 1 since our LMS offers the option to set that limit itself.I have gone through several configurations in the Quiz Preferences and I cannot seem to get the result I am looking for.It seems that it would be very simple to get this set up the way I need it to be.Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone,I've seen a couple posts about how to 'trick' the program into opening in full screen, but my client is having the opposite problem. When I open the Mac-safe .exe (.app), the project opens to a little over half of the screen and I can expand or contract it however I wish. However, when my client opens the .exe version on her PC, she says it opens full-screen every time and she loses access to anything else on her computer until she exits the program. Any ideas on what this could be or how I could fix it?

In my file, SVGs are constantly being swapped or misrepresented. Again and again, instead of the right SVG graphics the wrong ones are displayed. I can watch it, how they change on the screen, right in front of me. They are replaced on stage as if by magic and jump back and forth.Where is the cause? How can I change or fix that?

Hello,I need to hide the expand and collapse TOC icons (<< and >> icons) as I already have the TOC button appearing as part of the play bar control. Is there a way to do it? TOC settings > Runtime options > Selecting or de-selecting Collapse All doesn't seem to help. Any ideas? I'm using - CP 2017.Thank you!
