Captivate

Both of these apply to the new adobe Captivate, not classic. 1. Is it possible to disable the 'Review Quiz' button/feature if the user has failed the quiz? 2. Additionally is it possible to allow users who pass/fail to review the quiz, but only see questions they answered incorrectly?

In the all-new Adobe Captivate a block containing 3 buttons insists on lining up vertically in mobile phone view on top of each other even when the buttons are changed to small circular icons. There is plenty of space in the mobile view for the buttons to be spread out horizontally. Am I doing something wrong or is this behavior intended?

I want to have a quiz of 10 questions that is selected randomly from a pool of 30 questions. How do I do this in the all new adobe captivate (NOT classic)? I can only find answers related to this about classic. 

Maybe I am being too clever by half. Enterprise requirement is to have all training accessible for visually impaired. In my case, this includes adding a VO to the Quiz slides in Captivate 2019 "Classic". The VO is not proving to be a problem. But when I add Audio to the "Correct" and "Incorrect" response blocks - and these blocks are several words long giving the reason for the correct or incorrect response - "click anywhere or press 'y' to continue" involves a significant amount of time, not an immediate move to the next question. It acts like the slide is playing audio after all the audio has been played, but there is no sound. Just no action until several seconds go by before the next quiz question appears. Is there as "correct" way to add audio the "correct" and "incorrect" prompt boxes so the move to the next quiz question is immediate? Many thanks!

Self-Taught Captivate 2019 (v11.5) instructor here... with what I feel is a basic question but I can't seem to land on the full answer. We currently do not test or quiz; and I have not used any of the quiz features beyond simple multiple choice, etc.  We are looking to expand our testing capabilities, and I am looking specifically for a type of solution that will test user's ability to repeat steps on-screen (.e.g, click the right menu) and then move to the next phase, selecting the right options, etc. I know I can create a multi-choice, yes/no, mix/match quiz.  But I was hoping something else was possible.   Because I lack the correct terminology, I feel like either this isn't possible, or I'm unable to find the correct answer.   Could someone assist?  Is there an ability to create a test that asks someone to select the menu item they would use to start a task, and then report correct/incorrect based on where they clicked on a scr

hello i am a new captivate user.....what are the problems you usually face when using captivateI would like to get prepared before going further

Set up quiz preference as 80% 3 attempts. If I fail first and review quiz, I don't have any more attempts. How do I get review quiz on pass only?

I just lost hours of work creating a project in the new captivate, for no apparent reason. I had been saving the project on a regular basis, and then closed the program. (A preview was left in a browser window, not that it should matter.)  Later, upon starting the program with the new project it generated an error message (first attached image): "An unexpected error has occurred, which may cause Captivate to behave unexpectedly. You can restart Captivate with backed-up project." It also gave this message: "Adobe has found a solution or workaround for the recent error in Adobe Captivate. Please click the below link for more details."  (However, the link provided does nothing). So I tried to open the back-up copy of the project, after renaming it so that it would be a .CPT file, but the exact same error messages came up. Can anyone help me? Otherwise, the whole project is completely lost.

After i published the Project to our LMS365 i have this issue: If i check the quiz in the end the next button isn't working. so i can't go to the next site and can't go back. But when i don't check the Quiz the next button works nicely. are there others with the same problem ? 

I recently made a change to an old animation file from the 2017 version of adobe animate in the 2022 version of animate and when I published it to a HTML/JS file, it won't run in captivate classic. It doesn't even preview the file or load it up when added to the assets tab in classic. Is there something that I need to do when publishing the file from animate or is there something that I need to do in captivate classic to make it work? I have tried remaking the animation file in a new project then publishing it but it still does not run in captivate classic.

Hey veryone, I am trying to use the accessibility option in the new captivate version but when I try to preview it or publish it I don't have any audio comming from the quiz.

I haven't found anything in this discussion forum about this issue...but the nature of it seem unlikely to only be affecting my installation, so I figured I would ask if anyone else has encountered this issue.  I'm preparing to upload the first Captivate 12-produced module to our LMS and was making sure all of the required Scorm settings were as they should be. In Captivate classic, the Scorm Idenfier field is editable and we've always put a variation of our Course code in that field. In this version, however, that field is NOT editable at all. There is placeholder text that reads "SCO ID_1" and clicking in that field and pressing delete, highlighting text, typing text has zero effect. You just cannot overwrite that placeholder text at all.  So, my questions to you are as follows:Has anyone else encounted this uneditable field? If so, has the inability to enter a unique SCO ID here impacted your ability to successfully launch your course on your LMS? If th

Hi there, I'm trying to create a full screen video demo on a macBook with retina display. The screen has a resolution 3072 x 1920, but the video size I get from Captivate when selecting 'full screen capture'  is 1792 x 1120. Does anyone know of a way to record at full resolution?With thanks,  Julian

Hello!I am fairly new using Adobe Captivate 12 and I am self-tought since I am the first to create any kind of e-learnings in my company. I am working on a project, where useres should only be able to use specific buttons to go back and forth. But I also want to include the TOC. Hence my question as to how I can disable the interaction with the TOC. So that it is only visible but cannot be used for navigation.Greatful for any kind of help!

Hello. I recently received a new laptop and I've had to reinstall Adobe Captivate. I just realized I don't have Quiz Results Analyzer on the new laptop. I had it on the old one. I've reached out to Adobe to get this download file and it's proving to be a difficult task for them for some reason. Could someone please point me in the right direction for this download file? 

Hi! I'm using 2019/Classic. I've been having to make some changes to the position of closed captions - both project-wide and for individual slides. I'm finding that sometimes when I change the x or y percentage and save the changes, the position is then completely different when I run a preview. When I go back and look at the settings again, the setting I changed is now completely different.For example, I may change the X field from 30 to 10 on a slide or on the project and then do the save and close routine, but when I go back into the settings, the x now says 55. Or 30. Or 50. It seems pretty random. I find that if I keep trying, eventually what I type sticks, but it's a lot of extra time and I can't figure out the pattern to when this happens or doesn't.  I've tried a variety of things like making sure I tab out of the X field before I save in case the focus needs to change to another field in order for the field to retain my entry. Sometimes that works, sometimes not.I haven't

Hi everyone,I am relatively new to Adobe Captivate Charm, I have just uploaded my first course to our Moodle LMS and  I am having issues with how it has transferred across. Things are looking different in the SCORM package to how they did when previewing the course within Captivate - It looks like it is opening in Tablet format, even though we are viewing it on a computer monitor?Has anybody else encountered this/does anybody know how to prevent it?Many thanks in advance!

Hello all:I recently completed a software simulation in CpC and we are deploying it via a departmental SharePoint site. (We do have a LMS but for the moment we are fighting the "Cannot load LMS API..." battle...that's another story.)The output plays fine locally, and I was - after some tweaking of quiz settings - able to load it to SCORMCloud.According to our IT folks, they *do* allow .json files in SharePoint, so that rules out the usual hiccup.When I try to launch the index.html (or index_scorm.html) I am presented with a blank screen. (shown here) and the course doesn't launch. This issue happens regardless of browser used.Any and all guidance will be gratefully received at this end.-MarkScreenshot: 

How come my highlight boxes are not showing?When I test it from the timeline with the audio they come in at the right time but when I do preview in HTML browser it doesn't show?  Can anyone help? It worked previously when I had a yellow box there that I removed and replace with these ones as per the feedback from the SME.Thanks, 

Created a drag and drop using svg in 2019 Captivate. When the images are dropped in the correct drop targets, they shrink to about 1/3 the original size. I have experimented with snap behavior, drop target size and shape, state views, changing svg formatting in Illustrator -  you name it - but can't seem to fix this. The mp4 published file has mouse movement run fast for the first 2-3 slides. The rest of the project plays just fine. Looks like a rendering issue. But not able to fix it. Has anyone seen this? any recommendation?I have tried clearing the Cache and creating the new file. But nothing seems to fix it.

Hi,I cannot upload PowerPoint presentations into the latest version of Captivate. Will it work if I download the 11.8 version along with this one? This is the only import option I have found, and it doesn't recognize any of my pptx files.File > Import > Project Content and Closed Captions Any suggestions?

Hi, usually an Articulate user and I'm having some real issues with Captivate 12.2 in combination with poor documentation from Adobe. Question - do 12.2 users have any control over slide layout, or are we beholden to Adobes design options? As in, do we have design freedom to place items such as text boxes, images etc, or are we bizarely restriced to the design option presets?
