When I use character animator with my laptop, the eyes of characters don't work as the way I watched from Okay Samurai's lecture for Eye Gaze. I have all the same layers as he taught but still having the problem. First, the eye pupil move outside of eyeball as the pictures belowSecond, the right and left eye pupils don't move together. So everytime my character rolls eyes, it looks like she's having eye squints I've been struggling with this problem for a week. Please help me😭😭
Hey there!Im new to Character Animator and I created a simple face to practice with the chamera tracker. I dont know how to set the face to follow my face moves on the camera and there is a weird rectangle on the puppet everytime I click on scene. Ive been looking for tutorials but none of them explain how to do this or I dont know if the face is supposed to start moving as soon as I import it. The camera and microphone seem to be working fine. Attached there are pictures of the view of the scene and the puppet. Any help will be appreciated, Thank you
Hello to everyone,I have a problem with Character Animation. I had a project but i haven't "Save as" and when i want export the file i find only "export scene", "only scene" , "only audio" and i can'f fined export in adobe media encoder. 😞Ps I have the 2015 cc version. Thank you to everyone for the help!
I'm setting up a larger moving shot and I plan to have a count down timer in the corner. Was wondering if there a way to keep it static without having to manaully match it move for move. Thank you.
I've always been an absolute raving fan of Adobe's documentation ... except for this product. The "complaint" I have, for lack of a better word -- and I know this is a personal quirk of mine -- is I prefer reading on paper. When I started learning CharAni, I printed the Reference PDF so I can read it wherever and whenever but so much of what I needed was only represented by a summary and "For more information, see [insert topic link here]."Question/Request: Is there a complete, all-in-one PDF or print-friendly collection of Character Animator documentation?
Can anybody point me to where I find the documentation on what the required layers and their names are for each of the elements? Also I have been looking at some example files and noticed some differences. For instance in a psd puppet file a mouth layer is named Aa but in a different Illustrator file there is a moth layer named Ah instead of Aa. Does illustrator and photoshop have different requirements for CA? I'm looking to make an Illustrator character that has head turns. Is this possible in Illustrator as well as Photoshop? Any documentation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I am having problems working with multiple characters on the same screen. Characters and backgrounds jump around when selections are made. Are their any tutorials for working with multiple characters in one screen.
Is there a way to dynamic link one track from an audition multitrack into Ch, and send the rest of the tracks into AE?
I just started using Ch, I've got a character rigged, one of his eyebrows moves ridiculously far, the other doesn't move at all. No issues in the rigging issues pannel, both eyebrows are independent, have the move eyebrows together box checked. Does anyone have a guess as to what could be wrong?
Hello, I was working on a few Character Animator files on my mac. The files were apparently being synced to iCloud. Something happened during one of the syncs and now I cannot open any Character Animator Files. They all give me this error message: Error (3.2x64)libgit2 error - 3(9/Objet not found - no match for id (b664d04a00cf5c50eaeacf5bda448959c018dca6)) returned from git_revparse_single(&headP,repoP,specZ) Also, there is no odb.sqlite3 file in my character animator project file. I have looked all over my hard drive files and in iCloud. Any thoughts on where it could be? Would it possible to rebuild it? Everything else is there. Any help you can provide is greatly apprecaited!!Thomas
Hello there, Im new to Character Animator and my laptop is very slow.. to tackle that can i set scene in 720p and export video to adobe video encoderand from there choose 4k present and then export final output videodoes that effect quality of video??please note all assets design in illustrator
I've been searching online and in the forums and there is almost zero information on dealing on the placement of characters and backgrounds in the scene other than "do it in After Effects." Shouldn't editing the scene in After Effects be just as important as the plethora of videos concerning editing the puppets in Photoshop and Illustrator? What am I missing?
I need to redo all of my past projects, but when opening the files, no characters, scenes, puppets, or other media loads. Examining the files, they are all 0kb (not sure if that is normal and simply a reference file for project). Has anyone experienced this issue and been able to retrieve their project assets/media?
Have people played with Characterizer much? I was trying to turn my own face into a puppet, but had the following problems.I *had* to pick a style - I could not just use the images of me directly. Is my face too ugly? 😞All the characters had dark hair (or no hair) - so none looked like me - is there a way to change hair color? I may try without using characterizer at all - just take screenshots myself. Just wondering if I am missing something obvious. I wanted to turn *my* face into a puppet, but it does not seem to help with that.
Trying to use a body from Illustrator with a photoshop body. Can both file types work for the same puppet?Thanks!-B
I come from a game animation background; I taught myself Live2d over a weekend (back when the documentation was literally just the japanese text run through Google translate.), and I was a very early adopter of Spine2D; I've used both to make hundreds of puppets. Live 2D has you build custom behaviors into toggles and keyframes, and Spine2D adopts the more traditional bone system, where I basically associate image layers with a system of lines that have their own behaviors and run through the puppet. I've never had a problem rigging something up with either, and it wasn't hard to do something unusual or specific. I bought Ch because the idea of creating "live" animations, where I could just move a puppet in real time with a mouse or keyboard prompt seemed much easier than manually setting keyframes; especially since I'm planning on creating puppets that are synced to voice recordings for some videos I want to make. I also expected it to be more robust than the product I assume it'
Hey, i've downloaded Character Animator to animate my Character using voice and Face Detection. But, unfortunately, CA v3.1 (build 49) says i need to give permissions to use the Camera in my Settings. I'm Running the Studio on the following OS That's what Character Animator is telling me This are my Settings. There's no option to add access. Character Animator doesn't even ask for permissions to access Camera... I Hope someone can help me fixing it. Thanks.

Hi there, We have been using Ch with students in a computer art class and they have been using the example Chloe puppet because she already has her triggers, they edit in photoshop and it is fine in character, but if saved differently or closed and opened again, the triggers disappear. Is there a way to keep these saved on the character? Thanks!
Hello, where can I change the frames per second (fps) from 24 to the in Germany needed 25 fps?Thank you
Hi thanks for replying me at your channel (Mr.Okay Samurai) I have attached the screenshot please check. Before i was also having Adobe ps installed but i removed it as on clicking my puppet it was opening with that.
I am now moving to backgrounds on my characters and wonder if I should use backgrounds in CH or After Effects. Do you know of any tutorials on the subject for either program?
I have attached a link to the problem puppet. This is the second time this has happened to me. Im not sure why or how to fix the problem. Ive tried removing and reinstalling the program. https://drive.google.com/file/d/13Dzwgrg0w0nqUBKPbeIVr4-kE7iSPeUR/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/13Dzwgrg0w0nqUBKPbeIVr4-kE7iSPeUR/view?usp=sharing
Hello, I am stumped in CH right now.. I have a character with triggers and swap sets. I was wondering why CH had only one trigger layer so if I wanted to record a different trigger to combine with a trigger on the timeline it would record over it.. So I added Triggers 2 behavior to the puppet in rig panel which seems to work for recording a new layer of triggers without erasing other triggers you have on the timeline. BUT, I just rigged a new swap set and triggers and to my complete confusion it requires BOTH Triggers and Triggers 2 to be armed for recording. With just one of the Triggers behaviors armed the trigger does not work. What the heck is going on??
Hello, I'm pretty new to Ch. I've made a handful of puppets in Photoshop thus far, and haven't had any issues with pupils. I just made a very simple head in illustrator though, and can't figure out for the life of me why I can't ge the pupils to work. Anyone feeling bored and helpful that might be able to take a look? Thanks
