Screenshot below. I am looking for the puppet creator but I can't find it. I am paying a monthly subscription for Adobe Cloud..... How can I get access to the puppet maker??
I think it would be helpful if when you search in the search box above the timeline, that instead of filtering out all the other items, the cursor just jumps to the files that contain the search query. When it filters out everything else, I can't make any edits.
Hi, I have animated the face of a compass and want to make the compass needle/hand move and spin. Can anyone advise on how to rig it? Everything else in puppet is ok.

I am wondering what the easiest is to convert my Cartoon Animator 5 G3 character to be able to import into Adobe Character Animator.

Help. I keep getting an error and it wont even open the file so I could relink it. I've tried duplicating the project. Nothing. There is no way to even go into the file structure to try and fix this. It's a great app that needs a lot of work to be usable at a studio level. But any ideas how to fix this? Where is /ProjectItems/
hello !I use Adobe Character Animator's lip-syncing feature for my projects, and it has truly improved and reduced my workload , but I've noticed a little hiccup: the auto lip syncing feature doesn't quite get Arabic phonetics right.Arabic has its own unique sounds, and Character Animator's auto lip syncing isn't quite catching the Arabic vibe. It generates visemes that don't sound or look as they should. As a YouTuber, I'm really struggling with correcting the visemes. Don't get me wrong; I have no problem with correcting visemes, but the amount of correction I have to make is overwhelming! So, I'm kindly asking Adobe to think about enhancing this feature so that it works wth arabic too , This would be super helpful !! btw much love to the Adobe Character Animator team ❤️
in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mTSNfMSFck&t=164s at 13:30 Dave shows that the chord hand is just and arm and a hand with the guitar sandwiched in between. While I can draw that in Illustrator, I can't seem to get the hand and arm to work together in Character Animator. The hand and the arm are on different (sub)layers then. How can I make them work like in the video?
Hello everyone!I've been using Character Animator for a few weeks now, and I'm still figuring out how to rig my puppet. I've watched a bunch of tutorials, but I can't seem to find a way to animate the type of eyes my character has.Basically, I need a regular eye with three parts (lid, white, pupil) that can follow a camera's movements, and I also want to create a blinking animation in 5 frames that I can trigger with both keyboard and camera eye tracking.Any thoughts on the settings and layers I should use to make this happen? Thanks!
Hi All, In the Eye Rigging tutorial, Dave of OkaySamurai @oksamurai @ok was talking about Blinking of Large-Pupil Character. But I can't get it why he needs to put the Blink inside the Lid Group. Can it just be directly under Left Eye?https://youtu.be/5SxNChhm0jo?list=PLq4LynfF_r14w2SwicfetcReq8Y0f_lg_&t=445 Thank you so much,Tho.
I am using a puppet with my drawing on all the layers including the mouth set which has the 11 + neutral mouth shapes. It already all automatically tagged each shape correctly, the group is tagged mouth and has the lip sync behaviour and the mouth group is inside the head group, but for some reason it refuses to actually work and just stays in neutral. Is something set up wrong? Do I need to add lip sync to each layer individually?
Hello,I have been trying to get my puppet to do full body tracking for the longest time!I feel like we've tried everything. The upper body and face tracks just fine, but the lower body will not track at all. Can someone please help with this?
I set up the eyes, the eyeball layers are tagged as eye and the pupils are tagged as pupil with crown icon, added eye gaze to the eye group but the eye gaze still doesn't work. Here are some screenshots to show how I set it up
In this example image, how can i move the tennis racket? I have a graphic in mind, did a few test CC and the racket when i move it, and looks very funny...(and change the angle of the tennis racket when it gets lower to the legs....)sample graphic
Hello, I've been using character animator for a few years now and just came accross a new issue. I'm currently using version 24 on Windows 10 and as of today, while I have CH open, I can not use ANY of my cameras in other apps while the program is open. I have several cameras setup and have never had an issue using the other cameras while running CH. I'm thinking about going back down to version 23.6 to see if that fixes it but wanted to report this as it's very frustrating.
Hey fellow creators, I have a puppet that responds to body tracking for my upper body but, for some reason, will not react to my lower body at all. Not even waist and hip movement is fluid enough. I am able to drag the legs, and I have successfully added a walking animation via arrow key triggers. However, when I calibrate and attempt to lift my legs, the puppet does not respond. I have deleted and re-added so many bones and handles. I ensured hip, heel, toe, and ankle tags were indeed tagged. I have changed gravity settings, pin settings, and introduced limb IK and nothing seems to solve the issue. Attached are screenshots of the puppet rig and the Photoshop layers. I am so close to closing out this project, if anyone has any ideas other than restarting with a different puppet template, I would greatly appreciate it.Thank you all for taking the time to read and help. Have a wonderful day,Autumnatic Media
I have used an existing puppet as a basis for my character. When I resave in Adobe Illustrator, Character Animator updates, but with issues with the puppet (e.g., all of the mouths show at once). To be sure that I haven't accidentally changed something I oughtn't, I have recreated the issue:1. Start a new project, and use the free example puppet 'footy starter'.2. In Pro mode, select Edit>Edit Original3. In Illustrator, make a minor change like adding a shape, then save (CTRL-S). At this point, this message appears:Saving to a legacy format may cause some changes to your text layout and disable some editing features when the document is read back in. Do you want to continue?4. Alt-Tab to Character Animator, wait, and the puppet updates with the added shape, but also with rigging issues.I am running Windows 11. Adobe Illustrator 28.0Adobe Character Animator 24.0 (Build 46)I have tried exporting a freshly downloaded version of the puppet, using File>Export>Puppet befor
Hello,When I tag the ankle my characters ankle bends, example below, the legs are labeled correctly in Illustrator, I am not sure what I am doing wrong? Can anyone please help? Thanks
Hello everyone. My goal is to make a puppet that looks from the front and looks as if it is walking towards the camera. but it doesn't work. I couldn't do this.Since my puppet is viewed from the front, I cannot insert a handle tool for both the "heel" and the "toe". Of course, problems arise when I put it only for "toe" or only for "heel". But my puppet neither stands upright nor does the movement I show correctly. As behavior, I turned on "limb ik" as well as "body tracking". I turned off the "dragger". I think I rigged correctly. Can someone available take a look? I don't know where I went wrong and how to fix it:/
I have my audio and visenes in a timeline. Is there a way of adding space in a timeline that will give me a few more seconds between audio clips. (I know I can add space in the original audio clip and bring it back in, then I have to somehow lineup all of my visenes in the timeline. - I would just like to add space in the timeline.)
I'm at a loss here. I want to install Character Animator, but it says it does not work on my device and is not compatible. When I click on the install button, it says "Update required. If you would like to install Character Animator, you must update your system.I am using an M1 Mac Studio running Mac OS 13.5.2 (Ventura) with 64GB of Memory and 1TB of storage. As far as I can tell from the system requirements page, this computer should be compatible.
I have made a puppet and it registers very well, but it is too large for the given scene size. I feel like this is an easy fix but I do not know how. Is there a way to scale down my puppet to fit or to maximize the size of the given scene so that I can record more than just my character's lips moving?
Weird bug I’ve encountered recently. Previously when I added Leader/Follower to a puppet with a walk view (for things like dresses and coats) it worked beautifully.Recently, when I add it, there is a jump (on occasion) and the walk cycle didn’t seem to work as well. Doing a little digging I found that this happens when I add Leader/Follower. The puppet (in the Left or Right Quarter view) seems to be rotating around the head. Also, the walk cycle seems to be constantly cycling, rather than starting when the walk cycle is activated. This also adds to the jump. I’ve gotten around this by check boxing ‘Pin Feet When Standing’ in the walk behavior. However there is still that weird jump that isn’t working as well as before.
I start up Character Animator, select "Start", then "Blank Face (Illustrator)". This correctly loads up Illustrator with the "blank face" file in it. I select the "+Character" top level layer, then try the layer menu - "create sublayer" is available (and works). I click on "Head" (nested under "+Character") and try again, but the sublayer menu item is now disabled (greyed out). Everything I try to select inside "Head" will not allow me to create a new sublayer.I also tried creating a new layer at the top level and dragging a layer under head - it will not let me. I can drag under +Character, but not under Head. It comes up with a "not allowed" icon (circle with diagonal line through it).I tried locking and unlocking various layers - no effect.I tried copying the layers to a new file - no effect - the copy is still not able to have a new sublayer created.I tried reinstalling illustrator (keeping App preferences) - no help. Same problem. I reinstalled Adobe Character Animator (keeping Ap
