We have several archived meetings using Adobe Connect that we'd like to belatedly add closed captions to for when people view these at home.  Is there an easy way to do this via Adobe Connect, or will we need to download the file and add the CC ourselves and then host that file somewhere else?  The CC Pod appears to only be for adding CC during the broadcast itself.Thank you

I am a teacher who has a lot of online students. I have recently started using Adobe Connect and everything is perfect except the fact that I can’t play any videos or music there. I’d really appreciate it if you could help me with that. Thank you in advance.

I am using Connect 9 and trying to add a PDF to a share pod. These PDF's are sized at 11x17 and were converted from dwg  files. They are 2-4 megs in size. When I add them to a share pod I get the following error:"adobe connect could not process this document for viewing. Please try uploading the file again."Things I have already tried:Optimizing the PDFPrinting the dwg file to a pdfAdding the pdf to my content library and then adding it to the share podReducing the page sizeAdding other PDF's to the meeting or pods work fine including larger sized files. My meeting is in 2 days and I can go with a screen share if I have too, but am working witha coulpe of novice presenters and want to make the process as easy for them as posible.Any help is appreciated.David

Is there a way to control what fields are displayed to the student in an Adobe Connect Curriculum? For example, "Curriculum Starts On" or "Curriculum Closes On" are not always needed for the student's view. Is the only way to resolve this to create a custom curriculum outside of Connect and pull the necessary info from Connect via Web Services?

I need to clean the chat pod for some meetings using API for that.I could only find reference for one api, named as fid-meeting-chat-clear.As far as I understand, it only changes some configuration on all Connect environment that cleans the chat for all meetings.Anyone knows if there's a way to do that only for some meetings?

Will upgrading to Adobe Connect 9.1 add-in and Flash 11.2.381.0 now, conflict with use of Adobe Connect before Sept. 6th?Should we wait until the first week of Sept. before upgrading?  Thanking you in advance for a clear answer.  Tomawan.

I could really use some help with this one.  We have recently seen a rash of IE and FF browser crashes when the PC attempts to load a connect session.Here's what's happening:1. PC has all installed components (Flash, Add-in, etc)2. PC Connects to Adobe Connect Session/Room3. PC does not load Add-in, instead keeps the session in FF or IE4. Browser crashes (Both IE and FF)PCs have most recent version of Add-in and most recent version of Flash.Is there a way to force the add-in to load to connect directly to the room/session by bypassing the browser?Any help would be greatly appreciated.J

I can't start audio within a meeting I've already created with my audio bridge.  I'm holding a webinar tomorrow am with 12 customers and am in panic mode!  It keeps saying audio is unavailable at this time, and to retry.  Have already run and recorded dozens of webinars w/Adobe Connect.  This is the first time I've ever had an issue starting audio within a meeting.   Have updated the Connect Add-in and Flash version just in case, but am still experiencing audio issues.  Thx.

I have published a quiz in a seperate layout after a Presenter slideshow. The quiz has a splash screen with a "start quiz" button inserted and only about half the people in the meeting room can interact with that button. Whats worse is that it is not consistent, people that couldn't use it one day can enter the same meeting (different session) and take the quiz. Just like every error I've encountered with adobe products, its rarely consistent and any number of possibilities could create the error. Anyone else have something similar?

HiI have tried to look throught the Connect page but it is taking too long for me to figure it out - so I'll rather ask on here:)We want to launch an e-college so that students can obtain their matric certificate through us. Our Education Department(s) have strict assessment guidelines, submissions etc. - can we indicate the benchmarks for each course and view which students have completed which tasks etc?Can students open their own student account to view courses that are specific to them?Can they submit their work online?Can Adobe Connect be integraded with an e-commerce function (or does it have one)? - students need to be able to register and pay online for a suitable learning band for themselves.Thank you!

I want to embed a Connect recording from our locally hosted Connect site on our webpages. We use Plone and I've manually added the code:<p><iframe src="https://connect.le.ac.uk/p51ud1gxajs/" name="Demonstrating your impact with the h-index" width="800" height="600" align="left" scrolling="auto" frameborder="0"></iframe></p>This appears to work in testing but the video starts playing when you load the webpage - which I do not want it to do.How do I have the video embed but not play unless the user selects play?

Hi   how we can list out  Attendees order by Session through xml api?.   The existing xml api used to list out all Attendess but doen't order by session(https://meetxxxxxxx.adobeconnect.com/admin/meeting/sco/reports/sco/attendance?account-id=yyyyyy&sco-id=zzzzz). I am really starting to get annoyed at Adobe.  I am trying to get Adobe connect to work on Google Chrome on Ubuntu LinuxI am trying to connect to a web seminar on thursday.  I am testing my setup, and the test fails at step 4, testing Adobe connect.  I have flash, my connection speed is good, but I don't have connect.So I contacted the UW technical support people, and they suggested that I install hal, the hardware abstraction layer.  So I did, and that did not resolve the issue.I went through Adobe's web site, and I found adobe_connect_addin_lin64_r81.deb  which I installed.  No joy.The adobe documentation says that the latest version of flash that is supported on linux is 11.2.  The documentation says that I have to enable flash.  I went to the browser settings, and it says that I have version 11.8 installed, and that it is already enabled.  So that's confusing.Do you have a suggestion on how to proceed?

Hi!We have created and used our 30-day trial of hosted Adobe Connect Pro. The trial period expires next week.On this period we did a few internal trainings which were broadcasted to a couple of remote participants. More importantly, these trainings were recorded. These recordings have been organized withing Adobe Connect as a "Curriculum" along with a few other documents such as PDFs and PowerPoint presentations.We expect to have 5 to 10 new employees per month who should log on and watch these trainings. Occasionally some of the instructors might log on and add new contents and recordings to this curriculum.Now we would like to extend this account to a paid plan (not losing the content that was already created).What I have seen on the Buying Guide page (http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect/buying-guide.html) is a little bit confusing. Hi,we have seminars that we record. The process that I do now is to move the recorded session into Content folder.Then I create an Event so I can keep on tracking the data of web users that want to access to the recorded seminarThen I publish the URL of the registration of the Event, so users have to log in or register to access the recorded seminarIs this process correct?And then, when I go to the Event Management folder to see the Reports, I don't get the same data as what I get when the seminar was run. I know that parameters such as Q/A, or Chat will not be stored, obviously. But I can't get the data like Duration, and when did the users left the seminar.Furthermore, when I go to the Content folder, I can't get any report data either.Is this correct?Or else, how can I get some data of the visitors who are viewing my recorded seminars?Thanks!

Hi there,every time we run a seminar we hear a "bip" sound when a participant joins it. These "bip" are recorded on the seminar as well.Is there a way to avoid them?We normally use Arkadin as the audio provider.Thanks.

I'd like to migrate my adobe connect 8 database to a different server but when I check the custom.ini in the servers install directory the database password is hashed in someway.How would I go about pointing my Connect 8 server to its new database server where it can find all its existing tables?

Today I noticed something odd about the Connect logo.Is it just me, or does it look like a skull? Reminds me of a Mayan stylized skull. Perhaps the designer subconsciously decided to imbue the logo with some voodoo magic. 😉

How can I password protect a meeting. It was possible in version 8, but I have not yet found out how to do that in version 9. Thanks for helping, Jo

         For some reason my automatic emails no longer send after my webinars.  I have set the time to go 24 after the scheduled time.  I can't seem to find the protocol for making sure these are sent, any ideas?  Thank you.

Hi,I have rebranded our account connection page with logo and dark blue background. To make the Login font more readable on dark blue, I set it up to white. This is working properly.However, when people connect for the first time, and have to change their password, then the page that instruct to enter a new password has the correct branding, but has black font, which is difficult to read. How can I change the colour of font on that page? I could not find any settings for it.Thanks in advance for your help.
