I am purchasing an intel based iMac that will not accept Pagemaker. Can I purchase InDesign, install on my iMac G5, transfer the Pagemaker genealogy charts to it, then install on the new iMac. I presently run other Adobe software. I am real concerned about these pagemaker charts. Appreciate any help, Thanks Bill

We have a lot of users using Adobe Connect from multiplae sites around the country. One particular site (and one site only) is having difficulty staying connected to a meeting. They are able to successfully log into the meeting and can see the meeting room. After ~30 seconds each time they are booted from the room. Is this a common problem that anyone has seen? The only other problem we have come accross is users getting stuck at the loading screen and the meeting never launching but thet had to do with not allowing the FMS ip address through firewalls.Had anyone else experienced users being disconnected after ~30 seconds. It happens every time they try to connect. Apparently it goes to a "Connection lost, waiting to connect" screen. I know they are not physically losing connection as other services stay online. Some idea we had were packet inspection or time to live settings. Any ideas?

I am deploying Adobe Connect 8.2.0 and it works great internally on my domain running SSL on both the App and Meeting Server. I was wondering what is the best way to grant access to outside users to connect to meetings hosted from my "on-premise" Adobe Connect Server? By best way, I mean the most secure not only for Adobe Connect but as well as my domain.I thought about standing up an Edge server in the DMZ but I was told not many companies do this for what I am looking for, and that mostly they simply use a proxy and poke some holes in the firewall to let in the traffic. So how does everyone else do it?

Just got new computer w/Windows 7.  Loaded 7.0.  Looks like it is coming up and the error message reads "Scratch Disks Full".  No very computer savey and like my old 7.0.  Anyone know how to make it work?

Hi,Are there a limitation of 16 active webcameras in Adobe Connect 8? Our university uses Adobe Connect for online seminars and also for exams, where the students have to identify themselves by using their webcameras. We just moved to SumTotal 8.x. I was wondering how you get recordings created with Adobe Connect to become SumTotal Learning Activities that can be made available to learners? Is this a manual process or should it happen automatically now that our Adobe Connect server is linked to SumTotal?

I have set up a meeting room but every time I click on share my computer screen it seems to think about it for 10 seconds and then returns to the same screen with the button in the middle.I have also tried to go from the Share my Screen option in Indesign, where I enter my Adobe ID and then it comes up with the message Failed to Connect. Try Again.I have installed the Connect Now Addin, and tested the connection using the troubleshooot which says that everything is working fine.Does anyone have any ideas as to how to get this working?

In the Adobe Connect manual it says "A meeting room can be used over and over for the same weekly meeting. The host can leave the meeting room open or closed between scheduled meetings. If a meeting room is open between meetings, attendees are free to enter the room at any time to view content."  However, when I create a meeting Connect wants a particular date and time.  Consequently, with a 10 week class that meets once a week I have had to set up 10 separate meetings. Is there a way I can set up a single meeting and give my students a single link to the meeting room that we can use over and over throughout the quarter?Thanks,Jerry

I have registered a trail account for adobeconnect and using this to review all aspects of AdobeConnect.  I am not able to find any option to access the Webservice APIs with the trail account.  Can any body please let me whether the API is available with hosted instance and if so what are the access details.Thanks in advance.Madhava

I download flash player 11 .It says I have 11.1.102.55 version  and  plug-in version not instilled.I am running window xp service pack 3 with internet explorer 8.in my manage ad-on I see shockwave flash object 10.0.42.3. it is marked enable.I have asked for help 5 times now still have not got it fixed. could someone give me some answers....

When I open connectnow as a guest, the screen stays black. It happened suddenly as it was working well before. Can you help.

We have a guest presentor in a webinar on adobe connect today, that would like to have his personal phone number NOT be displayed.He noticed that as he speaks, his phone icons flashes, which would give particpants his personal number - should they choose to write it downCould he block this feature when he calls in?  We want him to use a landline, not the computer, for clarity of audio.If he dialed *67 before dialing our 1-800 adobe connect conference number, would that work?Thanks

I am looking for 7.0 or 7.5 Stage Light or Count Down custom pods.The exchange, http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?from=1&o=desc&event=productHome&s=5&exc=14, has pods for 8.0. I am still working off 7.0 and 7.5.

I'm planning to demonstrate a software application and I'd like to do so in a Connect Pro session but am not sure how to do it. The Connect Pro session appears as a window on my desktop and the software application will appear as another window. Is it possible for me to share the software window with session participants?

Who offers adobe connect enabled service? I'm thinking a "gotomeeting.com" or "livemeeting.com" model where I don't do anything but sign up, pay $20 a month, and that's that.

I'm getting people unable to access scheduled meetings as guests - they get the following message:"You cannot access this meeting because your meeting login has expired. Please log into the meeting in a new window."It seems that they're running Firefox 6.0.2, however, if they open up the link using IE or Google Chrome this error doesn't appear.Any reason why this might be happening? Is this a known error with Firefox?

I have a pdf document that was shared (in a share pod) during a collaborative meeting and is still in the virtual meeting room. I need to download it and edit. When I "save as", the document opens on my computer in the original state; with no markups and no comments. There MUST be a way to save or download the document in order to make the changes. Any ideas?Thanks...

We have a couple of classes that want to allow students to go into the meeting rooms and have group sessions. However; these are for a grade and need to be recorded. We already have a template set up to allow guests to come into the meeting rooms as a presenter so they have the ability to speak and share documents without the faculty being there. We do not give students accounts in Connect. Is there a way to allow the presenters to start and stop a recording in Connect 8?

Our system was set up with the login policy set to 'Use email address as the login'.If I change this to No what will happen to all the existing accounts? Will I be asked to add a login name field before the change will be complete? Also I am only a administrator-limited and currently do not have permissions to Modify user profile fields....I have access to 'change the login and password policy' and 'edit acct information' but and guessing I'll need 'Modify user profile fields' as well? Please answer both parts to my Q thanks

I want to use adobe connect in my e tuition set up. I need to allow both teachers and the students to be connected from th admin centre.I may have 5 or more teachers of differant subjects who teach through voip and awhite borad and a number of students. Can I use adobe connect? Can change the host from one person to another? How can I buy adobe connect for this use? Is there any special price for educational use?

We are using Adobe Connect Host Service.According to the Adobe Connect Web Link provided, we think we are using the datacenter in Singapore.In Oct, we can have Web Meeting with our customer in England from Hong Kong. The Video and Voice quality is excellent.However, in Nov, we found the both Video and Voice quality becomes very poor.We had set the bandwidth to Modem but the voice quality still has a great delay.What can we do to improve the situation?Can I find the technical support for this issue?Best Regards,Ivan
