When I went to start a recording today in Connect 8, I noticed that the "record audio  from speakerphone" option is missing on the pop-up where you enter your  recording name and description.  Where did this option go?  This is how  we record all of our meetings where we do not have integrated audio  (usually due to using an operator assisted line.)  I did double-check my flash settings and made sure the meeting had access to the microphone.

I'd really like to use IP cameras instead of Web Cams with this product. Anyone know ifit's possible?

          Hello I am Allen R Hamilton (Age: 52, student at Spokane Falls Community College-started to learn computers in the last three years), I have a Nikon D3000, HP desktop, and Adobe Web Premium CS4 and Adobe DNG Conventer. The college is using Apple computers and Networks, which is causing sever hardships for me being a pc user trying to learn Apple beside my major. I have two questions and I hope I am address the right forum.               1. Does Adobe provide and support cross platform non-linear editing? To have a suite that works with Microsoft and Apple would be fantastic!               2. I got the .DNG Conventer so I can work my .NEF images in Photoshop and my classes are taking me into creating digital multimedia presentations. I have one machine with Adobe Standard X running that is having a problem when combining documents (XLS/DOC) into a PDF.The error is gets is:  unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource filesThen it asks to repair install.The repair install button doesn't correct the problem.I have tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling.This error happens to all users (admin or not).I have this software installed on at least 5 other machines without any problems.Adobe Reader X is installed on the box (just like the other PCs).Any suggestions?Thanksjason

I am unable to install Adobe Connect in Ubuntu 10.After installation, I did not see anything happen.I found the Adobe Connect Addin executable at /usr/local-- "connectaddin" is the icon.When i double-click on the icon, I get a small window  with the title "Adobe Connect" and the text "Loading Adobe Connect..."  inside it.Nothing happens after that.Any thoughts? Suggestions?

I'm checking to see if anyone else is having increased issues in a couple of areas (it has gotten so bad, we're having to look at alternatives):1. We had multiple recorded classes last week. When we went back to listen to playbacks, only half had the audio track. (We do a lot of these, so we're sure it wasn't user error.)2. We scheduled a multi-day class. When we went in to start the calss, the whole room and all setup had disappeared.3. During a class, we suddenly lost some of our pods, and could not bring them back.

Hi,I'll introduce myself by saying I'm an IT guy for a local fire department in the Columbus Ohio area.   We have multiple buildings and it sometimes becomes difficult at times to do basic training.  If we bring the guys to one building for training, we risk the community by leaving the other fire stations unmanned.   As if this alone isn't an issue, they are constantly getting runs and leaving during training.   Shift changes and vacations also add headaches to the mix.Adobe Connect actually handles all of these headaches fairly easy.  Our training sessions usually consist of a speaker and a powerpoint presentation.  With the Adobe Connect system we can train and leave our guys at the stations.   With the recording option if one or more of our departments get a run, we can simply record the session and they can watch it when they get back.   If a guy is out sick, he can join from home or again watch a recorded session.&n

Hello, Last year we integrated Adobe Connect Pro into our installation of Moodle 2.0. On Friday our Adobe Connect Pro account was upgraded to 8 so we installed the new plugin and now it does not work in Moodle.Is there any news on why the plugin is broken and when it will be fixed? We use Adobe Connect Pro several times a week so we need it working ASAP.

My computer died and a former version saved on a Mac Time Capsule put back everything, EXCEPT, I cannot use my Adobe Creative Suite CS5.I have been told to uninstall and reinstall the CD. I cannot find anything in Utilities that mentions "uninstall" except for something called "Adobe Air."How to I uninstall my CS5 Suite? I do not care if it uninstalls prior versions of CS too, since I do not use them. Thank you.

I am opening Power point Presentation 2010 then internet gives me 3 options , open , save, cancel.If i save Power Point Presentation then i will save it to drive location. after some modification and saved back to presentation. i have user power point plg-in.But when i click open then power point presentation open if i change some part and click Plug-in for save back to presentation. it gives me following error message:-Run-time error '- 2147467259(80004005)': Presentation (Unknown member) : An error occurred while Power Point was saving the file.Can anyone help me out...Thanks,Mangesh 🙂

I've been trying for a week to get some indication of what Adobe Connect costs. Why this hidden away in a secret fault? I want to set up a trial use but not if I have no idea what the price is. Can someone ballpark this? Up to 100 people, two of them on webcam and 98 participants via text chat.

Can I copy Pods between meetings so I don't have to manual create them?

I use a Logitech Trackball with PSE 9.  My OS is Windows 7.  With the Logitech setup application I have the left button set as select and the center button set as drack-lock.  When running PSE the drag-lock button will sometimes loose the drag-lock function, requiring me to exit PSE and re-run the Logitech setup application to re-enable the drag-lock function.  My Windows 7 hardware shows this Logitech trackball as the only pointing device and therefore, I assume the default pointing device.  Any Ideas for a solution?

Hi!I'm new to adobe connect. I've set up a few conference rooms (meetings) and everything but the audio seems to be working. I'm not interested in streaming a microphone voice right now but I do want to stream the sound of the webpage that I'm on. I want users to hear exactly what I hear when I visit the webpage. As a host I hear everything and it all seems fine. As a guest to the meeting I see the page updates and all but I hear no sound at all. I've tried many different settings if not all and I'm out of ideas. Shouldn't the sound be streaming? Need help... Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to export user information from Adobe Connect?  I need to provide a report on who in my organization is currently a Meeting Host.  I'd like to export my list of Meeting Hosts.  I have tried selecting the users and copying and pasting, but that doesn't work.  Reports only show users who have activity.  In my case, I want a complete list of users so I can show who actively uses the platform and who doesn't.   I don't want to go through and manually collate data for 70+ users.

Any help is appreciated!A couple weeks ago I was showing one of our presenters how to use the software and in the middle of training her on Adobe Connect Pro, my audio half stopped.  I was still able to hear her and others logged in, but no one could hear me.  Everyone else was able to hear and talk without problems.I've uninstalled and reinstalled Flash, I've tried logging into other rooms, I've tried Firefox 4.0 vs. IE9, and i've made sure I have all the plugins installed as adobe popped up with them.  I've also tried recodring on sound recorder (outside of Adobe) and have no problems.  I even tried to restore back to a restore point on my pc that was a couple days before the problem started.  I don't have any problems on another computer, so it's obviously something on my PC that's conflicting with adobe.When I use the Audio setup wizard and reach the sound recording part, the blue bar is immediately solid instead of moving with your voice.  When i stop

I am very new to Adobe Connect/Captivate (and eLearning in general).  I've created presentation in Captivate 5 (for Mac) that concludes with a 10 question multiple choice quiz and published to Adobe Connect.  Everything works great with one exception.  I am trying to figure out a way to be notified if/when a viewer fails my quiz (scores lower than 80%).I've set-up the permissions on Adobe Connect to only allow specific users access to the presentation (all of this works fine) and I can use the "Report" function in Adobe Connect to see overall views, scores, ect.  But if someone fails the quiz, I need to know who failed it so I can follow-up with them for further training.Thanks in advance!~S

I am attempting to load an eLearning course in Connect Pro but I am having a few issues.I used the publish dialog for Adobe Connect and added my Connect Server information.  This allowed me to load the course however, the FLV files that are referenced and played in the course do not work.  I checked the box for publish FLVs in the publish settings, however, I only see the Captivate file when checking the folder to which it was published.  Note that also enabled Connect metadata in the publish settings.So in summary the course plays but FLVs embedded and referenced by the course do not.  I published as a zip file and loaded  the zip but I could not determine how to get Connect to unzip and use the file.  Appreciate any help.ThanksJeff

Can I elect to broadcast both microphone narration and system sounds that come out of the applications I'm demonstrating in and Adobe Connect session?I had system sounds got through today but that is bacuse the mike on my headset was picking the sounds up from the speakers! I want the actua system sounds to be transmitted as well.

Hello,We have a number of users at my company who are interested in a stylus/tablet for use with the whiteboard features in connect, apparently they have tried the bamboo on their own and they were less than thrilled with the performance.Was wondering if there were any other suggestions out there that people have direct experience with and are known to work?Thanks
