My company uses Creative Cloud to sync a large volume of media between perhaps 4 or 5 different computers (running Windows 10). Recently I've run into a problem where CC seems to "load" endlessly, never actually synchronizing files or fonts. See images below:I've tried all sorts of things:Stopping all CC tasks and restartingRebooting the computerCompletely uninstalling and reinstalling the appI've read about deleting files in a folder found in AppData, but that folder doesn't seem to exist on my system.I can't attempt to turn sync on/off since those options are grayed out (see below)Files show up fine online at assets.adobe.com, it just seems to be my system. Note: I'm using a roaming profile with folder redirection enabled, but it's set to exclude Creative Cloud files. Other users seem unaffected, so it has to be something to do with my profile I would think. But where do I troubleshoot next?
This just started happening within the past few weeks. Whenever I save a file within the Creative Cloud directory, or any of it's subdirectories, I get this error:"Could not save '<filename>' because the file is already in use or was left open by another application."If I try to save a file in a CC directory using non-Adobe software, I get:"You don't have permission to modify files in this network location. Contact the administrator per permission to make these changes."It's been driving me crazy. My initial solution was to save to desktop (or anywhere else on my HD) and drag the file back into the Creative Cloud location. Although that began to frustrate me very quickly. Eventually, I figured out if I pause Creative Cloud's file sync, files will save normally 100% of the time. So, something happened recently where I can no longer have sync enabled whenever I save a file. What's weirder is this is not about overwriting existing files. I can't use "Save As" to save as new file name
Curious problem in InDesign (ID2018 Version 13.1 on MacOS High Sierra 10.13.4).--I wonder if anyone else has seen this?I can't add paragraph/character styles from CC Libraries to documents unless I choose them one-by-one.(I'm trying to overwrite a previous version of the same styles, which to date I have done without issue nearly every day for months.)Description of behavior:1. Select list of Character (or Paragraph) styles and right-click to use option to add to the current document. "Add" option not available.2. Select single Character (or Paragraph) style and right click to use option to add to the current document. "Add" option is available!(See screenshots below for side-by-side comparison.)Troubleshooting Options Tried So Far:- Restarted InDesign- Relaunched CC desktop app- Restarted computerScreenshots side-by-side:
Hey there fellas, I'd like to know whether Adobe removed file versioning functionality? I accidentally saved file while making improvements and I'd like to restore it. but when I navigate to the file details there's no activity tab.
I've been getting a message pop up on my laptop over the past couple of days. It simply says 'Unable to sync "my filename_dateTtime.276452.sexs"'.I've looked through my creative cloud folder (both locally and online) and found the specific file doesn't actually exist.I tried to make a file and give it the same file name, but the guise didn't work - the problem still persisted.
Hi, I have tried to log in to my creative cloud web version and I cannot see my LR photos folder.I can see my LR photo folder on my apps but not on my web interface.I have logged in and out and re-installedam I doing something wrong or is LR photos not avariable for web?Trine
Hi - I recently changed jobs, but kept the same laptop, and as such have a new login for Creative Cloud. Everything's working fine, other than the fact that I get the "could not enable sync" message with:"Creative Cloud needs to rename your folder "Creative Cloud Files" to enable syncing. Please close any open documents or restart your machine and try again"I have tried restarting, no difference. I noticed that in my user folder there's a new folder created at each time I retry this process, and that that folder (and the main creative cloud folder in there) have my old work email address affixed to the front of the folder name. It's no big deal at the moment, as I'm currently only using it on this laptop, but will be using another computer soon as well. One more thing - clicking the "Creative Cloud Files" folder within windows explorer gives a "location is not available" error as well, so I can't currently get in there. I had moved any files I was worried about before I created my new a
We tried to store a lot of photos to the cloud in one copy. The files have been syncing for over 24 hours. We tried to stop the sync and just throw everything away, and they still show up in the archive. Is there a way to delete everything on the cloud all at once and start over?
I have been having an ongoing problem for months where all the files which I have deleted from Creative Cloud reappear when I next restart my PC. I have used 'view on web' and gone to the 'Deleted' folder and permanently deleted them, but it doesn't do a thing, and the very next day it pulls gigabyte upon gigabyte of files from nowhere (they aren't supposed to exist anymore), so that I am right back to the same place I was. I am on 99% full of my 100GB, which means I will no longer be able to use CC very soon. I wondered whether it was because I occasionally use another PC which is using CC, but today it has done it after a restart, and the other PC has been turned off - so that is not the problem. Can someone please help?I am thinking that Adobe CC is not fit for purpose and I need to use Dropbox. Surely there must be a solution? Many thanks, Emlyn
I receive his link, click, and it takes me to my own CC content.I click on "Shared with You", but there's nothing there. No clue what's going on... any help appreciated.
I saved a file that I just finished editing but I can't get it to sync with CC. This is the message that I'm getting:I've changed the file name 3 times and I've changed the type of file 3 times. I've also turned off file sync and turned it back on. What am I doing wrong? I've never had this problem before.http://www.clcop.org/reach/
I copied a bunch of images into Lightroom and placed the folders into the "Creative Cloud Files" directory."Mac HD/Users/username/Creative Cloud Files"After realizing that my storage was almost full I decided not to keep the images there however the storage remains.I also can't seem to export using the cloud option, I thought putting the files back would fix and the storage grew some more.
Hello,My Adobe Creative Cloud is continuously syncing files non stop. I have left the computer on for so long and I have a good internet connection and still the syncing keeps mentioning that few seconds are left to finish syncing then it starts all over again. I have checked the files in my CC libraries from within the apps, no files seem to be syncing.I have checked my online files, all files seem to be perfectly synced. However in my market downloads folder on my mac there is an unknown file that keeps syncing. its name is "b86ac7621064e30ec2df41e684dd4bd7._gstmp"Please how can I resolve this issue?
Hi,I am new to Adobe Creative Cloud, but have been using LR (classic) and PS a lot in the past.I would like to understand the options around the cloud file storage.I can access my files here: https://assets.adobe.com/filesHowever I don't see these files when I open Lightroom CC.In turn if I upload files through Lightroom CC I also cannot see them in Files.Should that not be the same account?Do they both add independently to my storage quota or do I have to quotes here? What I am basically trying to achieve is upload folders of files through the browser or my Finder on Mac (which is linked to Adobe CC Files)and process those files later either through Adobe CC or the mobile client? Are there any best practices or recommendations?Hope my points are formulated clear enough 🙂Many thanks in advance!
I am unable to upload anything but .jpg files to the Creative Cloud. Not using the file sync functionality, but using the web upload with the Actions>Upload workflow. It allows me to select .tif, .psb, and .zip files and it appears to be loading them but then suddenly quits and no files are uploaded. Are there file types that are not supported? You would think .tif and especially .psb files would be. Please advise.Thanks.Bob
Hello,I work on illustrations on my ipad, procreate and save my files to CC in "files" latest iOS 11.4.1 When choosing to save to files / Creative cloud, I noticed that some folders appear double on my ipad, also when viewing them on CC app, but on my macbook they appear correctly. This is quite confusing and I wonder if it is a known issue and if there is something I can do differently when deleting folders and files to avoid this in the futrure? Thanks in advance!Best regards,c
Hi guys,I have added some Blender .stl files to adobe creative cloud files that were created using a Windows 10 desktop pc.We also have an iMac here at home, and for some reason, none of the Creative Cloud files added using the Windows machine are visible in Adobe Creative Cloud files on the iMac.What is the problem exactly? (BTW it has nothing to do with compatibility between systems, because if i instead save the same files to Google Drive, and then open them in for example Blender on the iMac, it works perfectly. This is specifically a Creative Cloud problem).
After noticing that not all of my files were up-to-date on my Macbook, I logged in here to check for solutions. I have uninstalled and reinstalled CC desktop app several timesI have deleted .db files from CoreSyncI have repaired the CC appI have removed 2/3 of the assets being stored in the cloud (at a major loss because I apparently permanently deleted the folder on CC before it had finished copying to my hard drive and I've been told that it's irretrievable!) in case it was a file limit issue. I have disabled all other cloud storage (Google Drive) from this deviceThe most common screen I am seeing is this:Even though this box is already checked...When I uncheck and recheck the box, I get this screen:And when I click "learn more" I get this:All of my files seem to be correct from Desktop to Cloud, but Macbook has 5.53 gb in the CCFiles folder, while (as you can see above) the cloud is actually storing 24.69gb.Throughout my attempts at fixing this, the computer has spent ho
I having a same problem issue. Now on my desktop still have one folder I cant delete but I checked this folder on creative cloud web browser it not appear. So i can not get folder id from browser URL.Please advise
I can't use Collaborate or View on Website options in Finder on Mac. Tried logging out and back in a again, even a restart of Mac, still no luck. Can do it via the CC Website. Any ideas? Thanks.
Hi,I today deleted a few files from CC and removed a load of images from Sync'd collections in Lightroom CC.I have a CC Photography account 20Gbyte. After the tidy up Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic CC report I am using 34Mbytes of 20GBytes. However the CC app and website report I am using 5.2GByte of 20GByte. Via the website I have checked 'deleted folders' in CC and other Adobe apps. that share the space. I have deleted all projects in mobile apps. But all CC access say I am still using 5.2 GBytes. Where else can I look, I can't even recall uploading that amount of data.Something is wrong with the CC file storage. Please help. Many others have been reporting the same issues for years. What is going on. I have tried all ideas posted in other threads that I have found to no avail. Thanks
I'm having problems reliably uploading to my cc assets page, via Chrome and Safari. I need to use browsers when working away from my computer to share files with myself and others, as a backup to a hard drive.Smaller jpegs seem ok, but psd, zip fail after a few minutes. The progress bar appears, but when I check back, after a few minutes, it's gone, but no file has uploaded. It's more reliable when loading files one by one, but this isn't a great workflow.Files are typically 60-500mb.Both browsers fail, either drag and drop, or via the 'Upload' buttonThis happens at 2 different locations, one ethernet connection, one wireless.Uploading to ie Google drive, or Apple iCloud, both work flawlessly.
A small number of files I have sent to CC syncing service fail to sync. I have checked all the troubleshooting tips (no special characters in file name, etc.) and none of them apply. The files are .ai files and are big but not super huge: ~ 380 MB ea.The file names of the ones that won't sync are 006.ai, 007.ai, and 009.ai. However, other files in the series (made the same way, at the same time, and are about the same size) called 001.ai, 002, 003, 004, etc. all sync fine.I have tried renaming the failing files before resaving (e.g. 009x.ai ) and they still fail. I have tried opening the original file on my desktop and doing 'save a copy' directly to CC. Still fails. The consistent error message is "Some files failed to sync". The tantalizing "learn more" link just leads to the disappointingly uninformative message,"unable to sync 007.ai".I have been trying for days - at first thinking maybe a spotty internet connection was the problem. But it fails whether syncing from home or wo
If I share a 50MB Library of assets with coworkers through Libraries, does it take up 50MB of of space towards their cloud storage total? Or just the 50MB of space on mine?
I'm looking to make a mirror of my machines file and folder structure in Files on my CC account but it doesn't seem to work at all. To me it looks like I'm forced to manually establish every single folder and add single files into those folders. There's now way to just copy what I have with folders and files and paste that structure in my CC folder. Example: I've made a folder on the CC Files section named XD and I want to copy all my folders and files into that folder. Why can't I do that? Also, there's no way of adding folders to my Prototype and Specs section, I'm only allowed to add single files? Makes it very hard to work out an order or structure when I have 200 single files! So what's going on? Am I doing something wrong?
