I am new to Creative Cloud, but have been using Adobe software for many years. Now we are considering sharing an Indesign file with my project group using CC.The Indesign file contains links to external files (one Illustrator and multiple .txt files); and we export the approved version to an Hi-Res PDF.These .txt files are currently hosted on our internal server but have not been linked directly: we first copy them over to local desktop and update the links in Indesign before creating a new PDF. Since these file can be update by different people we would like to keep them outside the Indesign and Illustrator files. Is it still possible with CC to link directly to the files on our server in Indesign and see if there have been updated?Or can they also be stored in the CC cloud? Or is there another method? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestionsRonald
We are a design firm and we just recently started using the CC to share files. Overall, we are very happy with the experience, but there seems to be one extremely tedious process:When we hire a new staff member, we need to share all the folders in the CC. When I select one folder I can collaborate and add the person, but when I select all folders, that option disappears. Is there an easy way to share all of the folders in in our CC? It seems like you should be able to send a batch collaborate just like you can batch move or archive files. Thank you for the help,Anthony
File Sync is "off" in my account settings and is grayed out. How do I turn it "on"?
Hi, how come I upload files to CC folder and it still says "All files are up to date" with no signs for syncing... Isn't that should happen right away?
Not so much a question but an observation and strong recommendation on naming-- we've seen issues where there are trailing spaces or perhaps a leading asterisk (*) character in a folder name. If you are having issues syncing a folder, please check that the name would make sense if you created that directly on the Creative Cloud web UI -- for instance, you couldn't start a folder name with a '*' in the Creative Cloud web UI.Best regardsIan P
I have had a file disappear from creative cloud and then the name get reassigned to a different file. How do I retrieve the missing file?
I have uploaded isles from InDesign CC 2014 onto my creative cloud folder. I can see the files are they but they are not viewable and just show a blank page with folded corner.I have tried this with multiple files and PSD's work fine although all INDD files are broken. Is there something I am missing?
Today and over the last few days I've been saving files from my office computer to my creative cloud so I can work on them at home, but when I get home the files are either not showing or are not the current save. Is there a way to force dump cache or something like that?
Greetings All,I mistakenly used a very(very!) large Local Folder as my CC sync folder. I want to change the Local Folder and initiate a re-sync...but I can't for the life of me figure out how (I at the steep beginning of my learning curve for these wonderful products!)Thanks in advance for any assistance you might lend.
Same as title. Mac Os x 10.9.3, CC 2014.In the CC panel, the sync files is always off, even if the preferences are activated for sync....
Hi there,I have installed the free trial of creative cloud and for some reason I can't seem to find the creative cloud folder on my mac. Where is the default location??And when I open the CC window from my top menu bar, and go to assets, I try to click Start Syncing but nothing happens. Sometimes it just loads but comes back to the start syncing button..What am I doing wrong??Thanks in advance
"Sync. of file is not possible! When I take the file into another folder it will be synced as usual. But, that cannot be the solution. There is no further information shown with the listed problems. How can we solve this?
Could someone please fix or let me know how I can fix the file sharing issue on my account, it still isn't working.I have just tried to upload a clients work in a 420Mb zip file…. it took 45 min, when it finally finished I got a message …...I'm re-uploading now via the free DropBox device. I'd prefer to use Creative Cloud as I pay for it and it looks like a more pro system, shame it is so unreliable. Please help Adobe, I know you're awake because you just debited the subscription from my bank account... that bit of your computer system never seems to have an issue.Thank you,Carl
I've worked on my computer at home but when i got into my office, the files were not syncing. All the files from my home computer were closed but still not syncing. It usually sync that when i got into my office station, all the files were updated. The files that i'm working on are the same files which were syncing without any issues before.Anyone can help?
I can't sync my files-when I click sync and need to wait for a while but then nothing happened, not even error notification
Hi -- I have files on my cloud, but can't get sharing to work so that my boss can access them. The only thing that works is if he signs in under my username and PW (seems counter-productive). Even then, he can only SEE the files, and cannot do anything with them... I have added him as a user on my cloud... not sure what I am/we are doing wrong.
Du to my work flow with certain clients and the want to take full advantage of the Creative Cloud I have Decided to place my Google Drive inside my Creative Cloud Folder (Since the Creative Cloud gives 20GB vs Googles 15). Overall there seems to be no major issues except for a few files named a certain way and one or two that I have not figured out what the issue is. It seems like Creative Cloud is a bit more picky about how file names are done compared to Google or that Google is just better at hiding odd file names on itself and it does not work on CC.One example is a file that I used a colon in ":" File Name : Secondary Name.Normally for best practices I try to use dashes "-" as these days they are recognized pretty much the same as underscores "_" but I find dashes are nicer to look at and my brain reads them better. But in this case for reading I wanted to use the colon which translated to a forward slash "/" back on My Macs local copy.I guess if I have any questions i
I realize that "adobe desktop" (which is i assume how you manage said files) is for v10.7 and later, but is there any way i can work around this? i need to use the cloud to store and share files! I'm not sure if i absolutely can't do it, or if I just don't know how. if anyone can help? thanks.
Can others view my files?
Hi, Two weeks ago I reported that there were CC files problems like 'page not found' errors and slow loading times and pages not even showing anything. Those problems were temporarily resolved but are back as of today. Please fix this because for me this is not workable and I guess for many others. I've already moved part of my design files away from CC Files and am now reaching the point were I want to abandon this beta-ware altogether.I'm living in Europe, maybe this gives additional info. Maybe server problems only in this continent? Thanks for looking into this.Jan
files appear to NOIT be uploaded to my cloud backup.....what is the remedy?
I used to have an individual Cloud membership, during which I uploaded 9.6GB of my files. I then swapped my membership to a team membership which I am primary Admin for, now when I go to files I cant see any of them but on the drop down menu on the top right it says 9.6GB/100GB. Any ideas how I can see my files again? Thanks
I am trying to sync my desktop with my laptop and having issues. Most importantly, on my laptop, I am not able to access my files saved on CC from my main computer. Also on the laptop the desktop app doesn't show in my menu bar or the CC storage folder either. I go to adobe.com and log in to get my files but they are not there and I get a page missing message from adobe. Can some one steer me in the right direction, please?
For the last week or so I've been having issues with sharing files….again.Either files don't upload at all or they upload but when I try to get a link I receive a "Page Not Found" message. If the file has uploaded I can see it in my file list but if I click on it again I get "Page Not Found".I understood that recent updates made the process of file sharing more reliable… well, it seems to be worse than ever.I have the latest updates, I have a 20Mb connection and I'm running a Mac on 10.8.5Having searched the forum I can find others asking the question but no definitive solution. It's a bit frustrating to be paying for this product and having to constantly fall back on a free DropBox service to deliver files to my clients…. if DropBox can make this work for free why can't Adobe do it for money. Thanks in advance for any solution.
On Preferences I select Sync on.I go to Assets - Files - and "Start Syncing"I get the twirly bit that implies something is happening. And nothing happens. I go back to Preferences and it says the Sync is off.If I'm in Market tab and select something to download it will say"Before we download your assetFile sync is currently off. You must turn file sync on to download your asset to this computer."I choose the Turn File Sync Onand nada.
