Digital Editions

i have digital editions on my ipad and it will not pull up some pages when i scroll. is there anyways to fix this? it's annoying and i can't study to save my life. 

My new MacBook Pro has only USB-C ports (Thunderbolt). I have been connecting my Nook Simple Touch to my older iMac with USB-A ports, and that has let me connect the Nook to ADE. But my old cable doesn't fit anymore, so I bought a USB-C to microUSB cable.  When I plug the Nook into the new MacBook Pro, it doesn't find the device.  Finder also couldn't find an Amazon Fire Tablet which also uses a microUSB connector. But I half got past that problem by using Android File Transfer. This application lets me see the Fire Tablet's filesystem only in the AFT application window, and not in Finder. I wasn't expecting to use the Fire with ADE, but I'm troubleshooting the connectivity.  Android File Transfer doesn't let the MacBook Pro find the Nook at all, but even if it did, I'm guessing that it wouldn't work with Adobe Digital Editions, because the device doesn't show up in Finder even when I get a connection. I have been using ADE for years on an iMac. I bought a new MacBook Pro and installed the product there. I authorized the product successfully on the new laptop, and it started syncing my library. There are over 50 books, ePub and some PDF. The first 12 synced fine, and then I could see the 13th book "try" to sync, and that number flickered between 12 and 13. And stopped. After that, I was able to physically transfer a file from my existing library, and add it in the app to the new machine. I also was able to download an ePub file to my new laptop, and watched it sync successfully to the older desktop. So I dont know why my new MacBook Pro can't load my full library.  (second semi-related issue in separate post)

Is Adobe Digital Editions affected by Apache Log4j vulnerabily discovered December last year 2021?This product is not listed on Adobe site as affected nor remediated.Thank you.

Dado que los PDF que tienen protección o al menos los que yo uso, solo me permiten utilizar este programa, me doy con el "derecho" de realizar las siguientes quejas o "sugerencias" en el caso que hagan algo al respecto.  1. La Luz, me parece desfasado que no se pueda elegir la tonalidad de la iluminación de la pantalla, cuando pasas horas estudiando con este programa con una luz blanca, aunque tu puedas elegir la intensidad desde tu dispositivo, esto genera un cansancio ocular que ni realizando pasos para descansar la vista sirve. Hoy en día cualquier programa o dispositivo tiene esta opción.  2. Me parece increíble que el tamaño del texto sea preestablecido, es decir vosotros habéis elegido los tamaños a los que una persona tiene que adaptarse para leer, cuando en cualquier programa, pagina web, dispositivo etc, existe la opción ZOOM adaptable, en la que tu eliges el tamaño que mas te convenga y no x1,5 x2, x4, o ajuste de pantalla. Vaya es que me parece increíble

On my adobe digital edition I am connected with two profiles that I have disabled because I no longer use them. When I do the procedure to cancel the authorization I get an error message that says: "the password is incorrect. Enter the correct password and try again ". How can I delete these accounts and log in with my main account? Thank you

I had chat Adobe support and they tell me that since Adobe Digital Editions is a free program they do not provide support and they refer me to this forum to see if a charitable soul can help me.  Therefore, I recommend not buying ebooks to download in Adobe Digital Editions.

He descargado un ebook desde Casa del Libro y lo pude leer en Adobe Digital Edtitions, pero ahora no puedo. Me dice que hay un conflicto con el Id. Tal vez cuando lo descargué, Adobe Digital estaba activado sin id. y después cambile el ID a miguelphd@gmail.com. He intentado descargarlo desde Casa de Libro otra vez pero me dice error "no se puede descargar LIC ALREADY FULLFILLED BY OTHER USER". ¿Cómo se puede solucionar este problema o se puede saber cuál es el usuario con el que descargué el ebook en Adobe Digital?

Ich habe heute ADE auf einem zweiten PC mit der gleichen ID wie auf dem ersten Gerät installiert. Laut Homepage Adobe soll dann auf dem zweiten Gerät die komplette Bibliothek ebenfalls sichtbar sein. Das ist bei mir aber nicht der Fall. Gilt das nur für ab dann neu gekaufte Bücher oder auch schon für die bestehende Bibliothek? Wenn ds auch schon für die bestehende gelten soll, was muss ich tun, um diese zu auf dem zweiten Gerät zu sehen?

Hallo Nutzer von Digital Editors,seid Monaten kann ich keine eBook von der Bücherei auf meinen Rechner öffnen. Das Adobe-Programm startet nicht mehr. Ich habe die Digital Editors 4.5 neu auf dem Rechner installiert. Gemäß Anleitung sollte nach der Installation das Programm öffnen. Macht es aber nicht!Nach Überprüfung durch Windows-Problembehandlung wird gemeldet, dass es sich um ein "inkompatibles Progrann" handelt. Keine Problemlösung möglich.Frage: Liegt das Problem an Windows 10 oder Adobe? Auf einem anderen Rechner mit Windows 7 gibt es den Fehler noch nicht.Leider hat Adobe auf diesem Gebiet anscheinend ein Monopol, da ich noch kein alternatives Programm zum Öffnen und Lesen von DRM-geschützten Inhalten gefunden habe.Wer kann mir helfen???Anmerkung: Browser ist Mozilla Firefox, neuste Version.

I cannot get the downloaded audio books to transfer to my reader or iTunes//Music. Downloaded to MacBook Pro. Auhorised.  I do not want to listen sitting at the table! Any advice please??

I authorized a first computer Adobe Digital Editions with and Adobe ID. But I cannot seem to authorize a second netbook computer ADE with an Adobe ID in order to transfer books from 2nd device to an ebook reader? How do you authorize multiple devices. You are supposed to be able to do 6. I keep getting error message Cannot authorize with the same ID as used to authorize another device? Thx.

I have a new MacBook Air 2020 with M1 chip. I installed ADE 4.5.11 Macintosh. Then I downloaded some books from my Library (Nova Scotia, Canada), but ADE doesn't recognize  them. This particular book was in ACSM format; often thy are ePub.The notice that pops up says: Unable to Download: Error getting license, License Server Communication Problem. E_ACT_NOT_READY.Please help me figure out what to do. Thank you.

ADE is fine except for when I'm using PDFs. The keyboard shortcuts to scroll listed in Getting Started With Adobe Digital Editions don't work! Up Arrow - Scrolls up by line (in Fit Width, Actual Size (1:1) or Zoom level views) Scrolls up a page (in Fit Page views) Down Arrow - Scrolls down by line (in Fit Width, Actual Size (1:1) or Zoom level views) Scrolls down a page (in Fit Page view) In Fit Width view, neither the up or the down arrow do this. Instead, sometimes they will allow me to go back or forward a page then lose that functionality until I scroll with the mouse. Left Arrow - Goes to previous half screen (for PDF documents) Goes to previous page (for EPUB documents) Right Arrow - Goes to next half screen (for PDF documents) Goes to next page (for EPUB documents) These buttons don't do anything.What's going on?!

Hi, I am having some issue with my device Kobo Clara HD. I have download a book from my public library (.acsm), installed ADE and do all the required authorization (computer and device). The file is transfered to the device without issue (at first glance) but when I disconnect my device from my computer and try opening the book on my Kobo, the file still say I am unauthorized to read the file (I double check and it says I am authorized on the device setting. I have tried removing the file, remove and add back the authorization, reinstall ADE. Nothing works. I have not done the factory reset but the device is new. I don't know why I would need to do that Thank you

When I try to sign in with my Adobe ID in Aldiko, it says, "Connecting to server". Then the sign-in screen dissappears without giving an error message! When I try to read a book, it prompts me to sign in again! What's going on? This worked before my device forgot all of my saved password data!

Hi, I am used to reading ebooks in epub format with Adobe Digital Editions on my Kobo Aura HD e-reader but with the last 2 books I downloaded from my local public library (I already read other ebooks from that public library with no problems before) I get the following message: "your e-reader is not authorized to open this book. This book is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). As you previously unauthorized your e-reader, you have to re-import the book using Adobe Digital Editions (ADE)."I already tried this:I uninstalled ADE on my computer, removed the authorization both on my computer and e-reader and then authorized them both again, I logged out from my e-reader and logged in again, removed the ebooks downloaded both on my computer and e-reader and downloaded them... I also cleared / emptied my history on my computer...I have done all this several times but with no success: the error message still remains!I contacted Kobo support: they had no solution and re-directed

Every time I go to Adobe Digital Editions I keep seeing old deleted books with only blocks that can't be opened.After removal, they reappear.

I'm getting the dreaded "Failed to connect to fulfillment server" error when attempting to dowload a new e-book into ADE via an .ascm link.I tried directly opening this site in a web browser:http://adeactivate.adobe.com/The result is just a blank page, with no error. (And yes, other web-sites work fine, so there's no issue with internet connectivity. I also tried other browsers, even other PCs - same result, or sometimes "web page unreachable").Does this mean the activation server is down? If so, it seems not just a temporary outage - it's been like that for at least a week.Thanks. 

I bought a book for my son with loads of pictures (a book by Terry Denton and Andy Griffith). The book is automatically synchronized with my own ereader (kobo clara) and works fine.For my sons ereader i download the book, the file is automatically made into a epub by digital editions and I place it on his ereader manually with digital editions.On his ereader (also a kobo, a kobo nia) the book does not show any text, pages are cut off and some pages are even empty. The same happens when I borough books from the library. I place them on the ereader with digitial editions and the books not readable. This happens on both the ereaders.As the books downloaded through the kobo shop work fine, it should work.Is anybody familiar with this problem and how can I solve this? 

I'm using a PC with Windows 11 ~~OK, I feel stupid. I installed Digital Editions to find a certain section in an ascm book. I entered a keyword & hit Search, assuming I could advance through the book to every instance of the word till I found the part I want. Instead, nothing happened. Search is working only if the word I want is on the page I am looking at. If the word is present on the current page, it will be highlighted. If there are several instances of the word on that page, search will advance through all the instances on the current page, but will not advance on to other pages that contain the word-- ie, if the word shows up 3 times on the page, Search will highlight the word & cycle through the 3 instances indefinitely. It does not move on to highlight the word 8 pages earlier or later.What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to search the entire book for a keyword, or does it only work on the currently visible page?

Whenever I try to download a book from my online library, Digital Editions just shuts down immediately. I have the newest version, 4.5, on my Windows laptop. It is really frustrating because my e-reader is useless. How can I fix this?
