Digital Editions

Adobe digital editions wont start, keeps locking up.  I uninstalled and reinstalled, I can't do update's says I have no internet access but I do.  I recently installed windows 10 not sure if that is the problem or not.

Hello. The books I borrow from my public library go in the My Digital Editions folder in onedrive instead of going in My Digital Editions folder in the C disk. What can I do to change this situation? Thank you.

I keep all my user files on Microsoft OneDrive so that I can access them from my desktop and laptop computers. I would like to do the same for the 'My Digital Editions' folder which currently resides in My Documents on the C:drive.  I can see no way to direct the Digital Editions program to  the corresponding location on OneDrive.  Is there a way of doing this?Both computers are running Windows 8.1.  The same question would arise with GoogleDrive or DropBox of course.Steve Pearce

Hello, I've always been able to open ADE on older computers, but I tried installing ADE on my new Macbook with the Apple M1 Chip, and the app just crashes as soon as it opens. Does anyone face similar issues?Thanks!

I am not able to de-authorise my Adobe Digital Editions application. Somehow it does not respond to my password of my Adobe Account. 

I have recently gotten a new computer, and I'm now trying to access an e-book via Adobe Digital Edition. When I try to authorize it keeps telling me, that the vendor account is not associated with the item.When i deauthorized and then authorized it again I got this error message:"error getting license. License ser communication problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER"

Necesito averiguar con que cuenta ID tengo vinculados mis productos de Adobe Digital Editions. Con el tiempo lo olvidé y al crear  una cuenta con mi email actual para probar autorizar los archivos no fuunciona. Necesito ayuda para conocer a que ID estan vinculados mis productos y como recuperarlos.

All the help answers appear to apply to a normal PDF file. How can I do this with Digital Editions as there aren't the menus to click on?  

How can I reset the licences of Digital Editions. Problem: Currently I cannot use my Kobo e-book reader. There are too many licences and therefore I can't use the Kobo I guess!  Or any other Ideas regarding the problem? 

I downloaded Adobe Digital Reader to use with an e-book I purchased. I was never able to authorize ADR with or without an Adobe ID. It said server  error in both cases. Additionally, I cannot even close the window or uninstall it. When I try to uninstall it, it says it is open and running, but I havve no way to close out of it to uninstall it from my computer. I checked out a book from my local library in EPub format. It appears in my ADE app on my MacBook. I can drag it from ADE to my connected E-Reader. However, when I try to open the book on the E-Reader I get the message that "Your eReader is not authorized to open this book. It is protected by DRM. Because you previously deauthorized your eReader you need to import using ADE." I have tried deauthorizing, reauthorizing, reinstalling. What should I do?

Bonjour,Suite à une interaction sur Twitter (où je râlais copieusement) avec le CM d'Adobe, il m'a été conseillé de poster ici.J'ai acheté un ebook chez Dunod (1152 pages) et je le lis avec Digital Editions (c'est le choix de l'éditeur). Et globalement, cela fait 2 ou 3 ans que je l'utilise et c'est une catastrophe : pour rechercher un mot-clé dans le livre : 30 secondes d'attente. Pour zoomer sur une figure : "ADE ne répond pas" et 30 secondes d'attente. Pour tourner une page "ADE ne répond pas" pendant 10 secondes. Bref, depuis que je l'utilise je peste en me disant "qui a pu coder aussi mal un lecteur de pdf ?" alors que je lis des livres 10 fois plus gros avec SumatraPDF sans le moindre problème. Cependant, lorsque je veux lire le livre sur ma kobo, je clique dessus (la couverture est noire lorsque je ne peux pas le lire) il y a un message qui apparaît: Votre liseuse n'est pas autorisée à ouvrir ce livre. Ce livre est protégée par Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). Vous devez confirmer l'accès à votre liseuse avec votre Adobe ID en utilisant Adobe Digital Editions (ADE). I have had this nook for a year and read numerous library books on it, but yesterday I started getting a 'Loan token update failed' error when I tried to open a downloaded .epub book.I have tried everything I can find on the internet as well as calling barnes and noble who was less than helpful.  I have tried...(muliple times for each of these)Deauthorizing ADEGoing back to ADE 3.0Unregister, deauthorizing my nookTrying a different Adobe IDUsing a different computerI've had every e-ink version of the nook, but I'm about to the point of buying a kindle (or course I'm blaming the nook, because although I love how this nook feels, I have had more problems with library books on this one than any of the ones before).Thanks for any help anyone can offer -

I'm use ADE on my ipad (latest versions of everything).Its essentially unusable tho, and hasn't changed in an incredibly long time. Given Adobe have a monopoly on download content for DRM, outside of Library borrowing apps, you;'d have hoped more effort would be put into it. Bugs- blank pages, either always the same one, or it varies. Sometimes changing the page colour or text size fixes it, sometimes not.- incomplete text, seeing dots or bits of it, but white space otherwise Usability- no means to see return by/expiry dates on ipad- no means to return books on ipad. I have to let them expire.- no means to change font etc. Resizing font is problematic, as the above bugs on blank or weird text come into play as you do it.- no imtegartaion with other products like note taking tools Adobe: please do the decent thing, update the product, or put it out of its misery. You're doing a huge disservice to online reading by this shoddy product you've neglected for so long. &nb

I am not one to complain about anything in life, let alone doing it in a public setting/platform, BUT THIS PRODUCT IS SO BAD THAT I FIND THE NEED TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS. I tried updating and/or re-installing it a couple of times (even though I already had the latest version in the first place) and nothing seemed to help. I cannot understand how all other products of Adobe work so well, then you get this crap? I am a full time law student that makes use of apple products. THIS PRODUCT/APP DOES NOT WORK ON MY PHONE OR MY LAPTOP. I have the books downloaded, which is super cool and all, but then making use of the app is the most tedious and stress-filled part of my studies.  When I want to scroll down the page, it takes years to move, and once it does move, it freezes. I need to force quit the app once every 10-30 minutes because of how long just "buffers". When I force quit the app and go in afterwards where I finsished, it doesn't even save the parts that I highlighted

Adobe does not support or improve Digital Editions because it is free but forces us to use it because they own the DRM. This is anti-competative and their monopoly screws the consumer. Why do we allow this? Universities need to unite and force change. 

El problema que tengo es que no puedo abrir Adobe Digital Edition desde el ordenador que siempre lo he hecho, lo desinstalo y lo vuelvo a instalar y no me responde. Al descargarmela en otro ordenador, no me permite abrir los ebook que tienen derechos de autor, aun ya habiendo autorizado previamente el correo desde el cual hago las compras. Espero su respuesta, gracias.

Hallo. Ik heb problemen met mijn kobo-ereader. Ik heb een boek in Adobe Digital Editions gedownload en daar vandaan naar mijn ereader gekopieerd. Nu geeft mijn ereader aan dat deze eerst gereautoriseerd moet worden in Adobe Digital Editions. Hoe doe ik dit. Gaarne advies.Vriendelijke groeten.Peter

I am unable to open the books in the adobe digital edition application and transfer them to my Kobo eReader with windows 10

I just received a new computer, had Adobe Digital Editions installed and it found my books right away. However, it says that I am not authorised to view them. I'm really sure that I used my Adobe ID when I set it up, but it's not accepting that. Any suggestions?
